Select Games Starting From $1.50 @ Sony PlayStation Network Flash Sale

Fancy yourself a gamer? Grab a couple of games starting at $1.50 at Sony’s PlayStation Network right now! Keep in mind that while you will be able to see the Flash Sale, you will need to sign into your PSN account in order to descriptions and actually make a purchase.

The cheapest game you can get is Resident Evil 3: Nemesis for $1.49. Rekeased in 2009, it’s playable on PS3, PSP and PS Vita and it actually boasts a near perfect score on IGN and is labelled as one of their Editors’ Choice games. It’s even 8.8/10 on GameSpot! In fact, here’s a snippit from James Mielke’s review:

While it may seem as if Resident Evil fans are getting shortchanged on this one, it really isn’t the case. Judged on its own merits, Resident Evil 3 is a truly outstanding game. Unlike other series (Street Fighter, Tomb Raider) that offer incremental “improvements,” the RE lineup continues to refine an already excellent premise. This is a series with legs, and each new chapter does nothing to diminish it.

Listed from lowest to highest priced, here’s a short list of the other games you can get during PSN’s Flash Sale:

  • Mirror’s Edge: $2.25
  • BloodRayne – Betrayal: $2.49
  • Mortal Kombat: $2.49
  • Knytt Underground: $2.49
  • Sacra Terra – Kiss of Death: $2.99
  • Sanctum 2: $3.49
  • Beyond Good and Evil: $3.49
  • Giana Sisters – Twisted Dreams: $3.49
  • Portal 2: $4.99
  • Resident Evil Code – Veronica X: $5.99
  • Battle Princess of Arcadia: $7.49
  • Remember Me: $11.99

A game you should definitely consider getting is Portal 2. Only playable on PS3, it’s an absolutely incredible game that will have you hooked within the first couple of minutes. Essentially a puzzle game, the goal is to create puzzles in order to escape the chambers that you are trapped inside. Each “level” gets progressively harder as you advance through the game and even cooler is that you can either play it solo or with someone else.

In fact, you can also rent the first and second volumes of Kill Bill for $3.99 each in SD (or $4.99 in HD). I have to admit that I totally thought it was a game version of the popular movie but as it turns out, it’s the movie itself! So if you want to re-watch (or perhaps even watch for the first time), this two-part phenomenal movie, then here’s your chance!

Toys R Us Canada: Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Limited Edition Set PS3 And Xbox 360 Was $130 Now $60

Toys R Us Canada: Assassins Creed IV Black Flag Limited Edition Set PS3 And Xbox 360 Was $130 Now $60

Good morning, my fellow deal hunters! If you’re a fan of Ubisoft’s Assassins Creed game series, you may find this deal particularly alluring! Toys R Us is currently having a clearance sale on the limited edition box version of Assassin’s Creed IV for both the Sony PS3 and the Xbox 360. They normally retail for $129,99, but you can get it now for just $59.98! This order also qualifies for free shipping.

The limited edition Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag box set is a great package for fans of this series. It comes with some interesting goodies, including an 18″ Edward Kenway figurine, an 80 page art book, a pirate flag with crest, a steelbook case, and of course, the Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag game.

This game has developed quite a following over the years. I still remember some of my friends raving about its unique gameplay back when the first game in the series was released for the PS3 and Xbox 360. I tried out the second Assassin’s Creed at a friend’s house, and thought it was pretty fun. Definitely a game that appeals to teenagers and young adults.

This limited edition version of Asassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 typically costs $129.99 at Best Buy, and it’s $129.96 at WalMart. Listed below is a snippet of a review for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag from a satisfied Amazon customer:

So what makes this game amazing. Lets start off with the landscape. It’s brilliant and beautiful…Really majestic. You don’t understand the scope of this game until you start playing. The world is surrounded by several small villages and three large cities. The only way to travese this open terrain with a horse. Fortunately they are about as easy to find as a car in todays society.

This is a great set for collectors. Get them while supplies last! I hope you all enjoy your day, Bargainmoosers – happy hunting!

PSN: Square Enix and Capcom Game Sale For PS3 PS4 And Vita Titles | Up To 70% Off (EXPIRED)

PSN: Square Enix and Capcom Game Sale For PS3 PS4 And Vita Titles | Up To 70% Off (EXPIRED)

Sony PS3, PS4, and Playstation Vita owners are in for a real treat this week! Square Enix and Capcom are both having a sale on many of their classic games that are available on PSN (the Playstation Network) – many popular franchises are represented in this sale, including Street Fighter, Mega Man, Resident Evil, and Tomb Raider. Until September 23rd, you can save up to 70% on some of these titles, which you can download straight to your PS3, PS4, or Vita system.

There are many great games that you can get some decent discounts on during this sale. Some of my favourites that you can get for a discounted price include Resident Evil 6 ($9.99, was $19.99), Super Street Fighter 2 HD Remix ($4.99, was $14.99), and Street Fighter III Third Strike Online Edition ($3.99, was $14.99). However, one of the most tantalizing deals is for Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for the PS4, which you can get for just $19.99 (it typically costs $39.99 at Best Buy and Future Shop.)

I can honestly say that Capcom and Square Enix are two of my favourite video game companies, especially back in the days when I was playing my Super Nintendo and PS1 avidly (my other favourite companies at the time were Nintendo and Konami). There are many great games to choose from in this sale, and you’ll be able to play them soon after downloading them! Click here to check out all of the games that are currently featured in this sale.

There are many games in this sale that I can reflect on. From Devil May Cry to Hitman, there are so many to choose from. However, I’m going to leave you with a brief review for one of the few PS4 titles in this sale, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (from a satisfied Future Shop customer):

Amazing game. One of the best I’ve played, albeit a little short. Great character development. One isn’t Tomb Raider from the get-go. Instead one gets to embark on Lara’s journey to become Tomb Raider. Love it! Fantastic graphics too.

You’ll have until September 23rd to take advantage of this huge deal on PSN. Happy gaming, Bargainmoosers!

EB Games Canada: Save $90 On 500GB PS3 Bundle With 4 Games, Controller & PlayStation Plus

Posted by on May 19, 2013 at 9:00 PM

EB Games Canada: Save $90 On 500GB PS3 Bundle With 4 Games, Controller & PlayStation Plus

There are a lot of cool PS3 bundles out there, but none are as good and as cheap as the one EB Games is offering! Get a PS3, four games, a year of Playstation Plus and a controller for $250!

There really are a ton of PS3 bundles. You can get a PS3 bundled with Uncharted 3, or with Move, or with some other game or perk. The console is usually a standard black PS3 slim with a 320GB hard drive or smaller, and usually runs $300 or more.

The deal EB has on is a Crystal White PS3 Slim with four games, a controller and a year of Playstation Plus. The four games are: Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One, Little Big Planet 2 and Infamous 2. Those are all great games (especially Infamous 2) but wait-a-minute! That’s only three games, Shawn! What about the fourth! The fourth game is Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale! All you have to do is add it to your cart with the bundle, and the discount will be added at checkout.

You get all this for only $250! That’s $50 off the normal cost of the bundle without All-Stars. Adding in All-Stars for FREE gets you another $40 in value, making the grand total that you save $90. That’s not to mention the value of Playstation Plus for a year and the other three games.

Shipping is FREE!

Amazon Canada: Little Big Planet 2 Special Edition with Playstation Move Bundle $69.99 (Was $129.99)

Posted by on May 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM

Amazon Canada: Little Big Planet 2 Special Edition with Playstation Move Bundle $69.99 (Was $129.99)

Seems I’m on an Amazon.ca roll here as of late. Lot’s of good deals. This is straight up one of the funnest series on Playstation and with the move pack; you really can’t turn it down.

I really can’t say enough about this deal. LittleBigPlanet is a super fun and insanely imaginative platformer that is suitable for kids and adults. I’d even go as far as to say if you are looking for a game that mom can enjoy (and you can borrow) that this would make a good Mother’s Day gift for certain moms out there. The addition of the Move controller and the Playstation Eye really sweetens the deal. There are tons of Move enabled games out there and at this price it’s really easy to get the necessary hardware to open up the move experience.

Shipping of course as free. Now this isn’t specifically a sale so the Amazon “before” price of $129.99 cant really be trusted, but I did look around at the competition online and this is the cheapest by a decent margin.

Gamestop Canada: $20 off Move Bundles for the PS3 (now $79.99)

Get $20 off select ‘Move’ bundles for the Sony PS3. Each bundle is regularly priced at $99.99 and is on sale for $79.99.

As you may see in the image (right) in the banner, they are advertising a Playstation Move Sharpshooter for $10 off. Unfortunately, that has not translated on their website: as the discount is not showing and it is still regular price. You might be able to buy it and then get a price adjustment, but up to you.

Little Big Planet: Game of the Year Edition (PS3)

Posted by on January 10, 2011 at 1:00 PM

Little Big Planet: Game of the Year Edition (PS3)

I have two great deals from two different retailers! First off, Little Big Planet was a hugely successful game that got amazing ratings. It still retails for $50 – $70, depending on where you look. So they released a Game of the Year Edition, with bonus levels, bonus packs, and $30 worth of materials… for a lower price than the original Little Big Planet was being sold for! It is the same game, but with more stuff! I do hear it has less manuals though.

So without further a-due: here are the deals I found:

  • The Source: This is an even better deal. You get the Little Big Planet: Game of the Year Edition PLUS a Dualshock 3 Controller all for $59.99. These controllers cost  $54.99 and the Game of the Year edition costs $29.99 so you get all the savings and bonuses of the above deal plus this bundle saves you $24.99 off the duo. Click here if you want to get this bundle.

So there are your options: both really great in my opinion… I just ordered the game myself! Little Big Planet: Game of the Year Edition (PS3)

Gran Turismo 5 (PS3) & Driving Wheel For Only $59.99

Posted by on December 4, 2010 at 3:00 PM

Gran Turismo 5 (PS3) & Driving Wheel For Only $59.99

Here’s one for the gamers. Futureshop Canada is offering Gran Turismo 5 for the Playstation 3 with a wired Intec driving wheel for only $59.99 for the bundle!

The deal will only be active from 8pm EST tonight (Saturday the 4th December), and only lasts until 10am tomorrow. I think this particular item will be popular and might sell out quite fast – so maybe set an alarm if you want to make sure and get online at that time, to purchase one.

The regular price for this bundle on the Futureshop website is $109.98. As Gran Turismo 5 is a new release for the PS3, it is selling for $60 at most outlets. So for $59.99 with the driving wheel, it’s a really good price. The driving wheel itself is an Intec, so might not be quite as good as some of the Logitech models, but you’re pretty much getting it for free.

I plan on buying GT5 for my partner for Christmas. I am waiting to see if it will come down in price a bit before I take the plunge though. We already have a Logitech racing wheel, so I’m passing on this particular offer.

2 PS3 Games For $40 @ Amazon Canada

Posted by on November 15, 2009 at 1:00 PM

There’s another video games deal online @ Amazon Canada which is worth a mention. If you choose 2 Playstation 3 games from the selected titles, you get both for only $40.

The list isn’t huge, and it is mostly a few classic titles. But I thought it would be good if you were looking for a few cheap stocking fillers for Christmas, for a family member with a PS3.

2 PS3 Games For $40 @ Amazon CanadaYou can choose from:

Each title is $29.99 alone, but adding 2 to your cart comes to a total of $40.

What’s also great about this promotion is that because you have passed the $39 threshold, you also get free shipping.

Ends 21st November 2009.
