Authority cat food is the only chow we feed our cats. It stabilized our first cat (Ghost) and his little washroom issues, and they both seem to attack their dishes with zest every time we feed them – they just love that food. We get the huge bags, with 2 big cats in the house.

My big boy Ghost is pictured above – slightly fettered by the newcomer Champagne. Last time I weighed him he was 15 lbs! He needs to cut back a little on that lovely kitty chow.

We just started our cat on a biodegradable and flushable cat litter. That’s right: kitty’s droppings now go down the toilet instead of into a landfill. The litter is wheat pretty much: so it breaks down easily and is very eco-friendly. It actually doesn’t cost much more than the ‘regular stuff’ and still clumps well.

If you have a few pets, these deals can be quite useful. Especially for ongoing purchases like food and litter. We are looking into a new litter these days, called SwheatScoop. It is biodegradable and made of wheat. For those who are eco-concious this is a renewable resource and doesn’t have to end up in the landfill: you can flush it down the toilet. My hubby and I are considering switching to it after we are finished our current litter.
