In the last email newsletter from Office Depot Canada, they pointed out a number of pretty good bargains, which I would like to write about here (they call them Sizzling hot deals).

The deals range from office stationery to furniture… but I thought that there were maybe a few items which would be handy for you if you were shopping for back-to-school items for the kids.

These “really useful boxes” (coupon code is 71887280 if needed) are on a buy-1-get-1-free deal. I think these are really handy to have round the house, as they’re useful for loads of things. When we were moving things round my house recently for the arrival of the baby, we had to put all my DVDs into boxes temporarily. I had 3 or 4 of these types of boxes and just stuffed them with DVDs and hid them in a corner somewhere until I was ready to bring them back into the living space of the house.

As I mentioned back to school needs, perhaps a calculator would be useful? This Texas Instruments scientific calculator is only $8.99 (coupon code is 10672215 if needed), which is a $3 discount on the regular price.

It’s always handy to have some spare DVDrs round the house too. Office Depot Canada is offering a 100 pack of Memorex DVDs for $19.99 (coupon code 64351121 if needed). Decent enough.

It’s a shame that you cannot use these Office Depot coupons on technology items. But as Lisa mentioned in last week’s Office Depot post, they’re excellent if you’re buying furniture such as a new desk and office chair.

Office Depot has come back with their $20 off $100 offer, both in the printable form, and with a code you can use for your online purchases. Unfortunately this coupon excludes electronics. This however could be a great coupon to use against office furniture, office supplies, even some early back-to-school shopping.

I could really could use a new office chair. The last time I was at Office Depot they had one promoted by the Chiropractic Association. Now that would be worth looking into as my back is killing me!

The Office Depot coupons usually exclude technology items, so you won’t be able to apply it to your laptops or monitors, etc. When you add an item to your cart and apply the coupon code, it will tell you as you go through checkout if the item is eligible or not.

I think it would be handy if you were thinking of buying some office furniture, or perhaps some back-to-school supplies.

I’ve just received another email with some nice juicy Office Depot coupons. The main one in the email is a printable coupon for a $20 discount on a $200 spend in-store. Just print it out, and take it with you to your nearest store, and you can see the locations on OfficeDepot.ca.

The promo email also includes coupons for the following:

• Epson WF600 all-in-one printer for $149.99 (Save $50)
• Brother MFC-490CW all-in-one printer for $129.99 (Save $20)
• HP C6380 Photosmart all-in-one for $179.99 (Save $20)

They’re all valid until from the 13^th to the 19^th of December 2008.

This is a really good coupon from OfficeDepot.ca – but it’s a shame that it doesn’t last for very long! If you’d like a $10 discount on a spend of $30 or more at one of your local locations, just print and present this discount voucher. The date says it expires on the 24^th November, which is tomorrow, so use it fast!

So I guess you need to be a member. I’ve checked on their website though, and membership to the Worklife Rewards program is free, you can join online.

As usual, it doesn’t apply to electronics, stamps and a few other exclusions. But if you need to stock up on some stationery for your home office, a few pens, pencils, staplers, whatever!

This is a decent promotional code from OfficeDepot as it has quite a low minimum spend! If you make a purchase of $75 or more online, it entitles you to a $20 discount. Not bad!! Technically, that’s 26.6% discount! It’s just a shame that it won’t apply to electrical items, that’s a common exclusion in these Office Depot Coupons.
