Cyber Weekend Software Deals

Over the last week or so, we’ve been seeing a LOAD of software deals coming through for this weekend, which we have been collating for our Black Friday and Cyber Monday dashboards. We literally cannot blog every single deal, so I thought it would be a good idea to pull a list of some of the offers that stood out in here. There are deals on anti-virus programs, software for your computers, even gaming deals.

I’ll not go into too much detail about each one, just click through and check out the offer if you are interested. Here’s a breakdown of the deals that have caught my eye:

Norton Canada: Up to $40 Off Norton Anti-Virus

Posted by on July 2, 2013 at 7:30 PM

Norton Canada: Up to $40 Off Norton Anti Virus

Get up to $40 off select Norton Anti-Virus software packages online at Norton Canada.

There are two software packages on sale:

Norton Internet Security includes both antivirus protection and online identity protection. Originally $79.99 (though it says $89.99 another place) it is on sale for $49.99 if you buy the 1 year/ 3 PCs pack. The sale price is only valid for the 1yr/PC packs. It is compatible with Windows 8, Windows 7, XP, and Vista.

Norton 360 is your complete protection package. Originally $89.99 it is on sale for $49.99. It offers everything you could want in an antivirus and in internet protection. It is also compatible with Vista through Windows 8 platforms.

The one thing I hate about Norton (one of the many things actually) is that they sign you up for an auto-renew service: “Your subscription purchase today includes enrollment in the Norton Automatic Renewal Service”. This you should be aware of so you can go in to your account or get ahold of customer service to get it cancelled should you not want them auto-billing you every year.

Thanks to billjacobus1 for the pic!

Symantec: Save $60 on Norton 100GB Cloud Backup (Pay $30)

Symantec: Save $60 on Norton 100GB Cloud Backup (Pay $30)

This is a great deal. That’s kind of all I have to say about it. It’s just really, really amazing and you can get it from Symantec right now!

The main reason that this is a great deal, besides that it is $29.99 for 100GB of online storage for a year, is that it is for up to five computers. That is a huge bonus. There are a lot of services out there that are maybe a bit better or have a better price, but they don’t combine the features that Symantec has in its Norton backup utility for the price they are offering. Here are the features:

So like I said, there are services that are better in some ways but lack in others. Some have more storage but are more money and only for one computer. Some are less money but aren’t automatic. This is a great blend. It has a lot of storage space, a bunch of cool features like bandwidth throttling and a web interface but it’s only $30. And it works on up to five computers, Mac or PC.

Norton Canada: Norton 360 Multi-Device Save 40% (Was $100 / Now $60)

Norton Canada: Norton 360 Multi Device Save 40% (Was $100 / Now $60)

Norton Canada has a great deal happening right now that will save you a whopping 40%.  Save 40% off the purchase of Norton 360 Multi-Device for a limited time only.

There is no coupon code necessary to get this deal because it will automatic at the checkout.  The advertising says that it was $99.99 and is now $59.99 but on their website it actually says it was $89.99 and is now just $53.99.  As of right now they are honouring this lower price but I am not sure for how long. Either way it is a great deal but if you can get the lower deal that is even better!

Here are some of the advantages to this program:

  • Protects your identity when you shop and bank online
  • Helps make your PC start and run faster
  • Backs up your files automatically so you never lose important data
  • Free technical support, 24/7
  • Protects you against viruses, spyware, hackers, phishing, botnets and more

This is a great piece of software to have for your home computer to protect yourself and your family from viruses and more.

The Source Canada: save $45 on Norton Anti-Virus – Now $24.99

The Source Canada: save $45 on Norton Anti Virus Now $24.99

The Source is offering excellent savings on Norton Anti-Virus 2011. Regularly $69.99 it is now on sale for just $24.99, you save $45.

For an anti-virus system this is pretty cheap. Here is a rundown on Norton 2011:

The improved Norton AntiVirus Protection System features multi-layered protection technologies that work together to proactively block attacks and detect and remove threats before they can harm your PC. Norton AntiVirus 2011 offers a fast install time, fast boot time and low memory requirements. The software uses intelligence-driven technology for faster, fewer, shorter scans. It checks Norton’s extensive online intelligence system in real-time to identify which files can be trusted and which cannot, then scans only files at risk. So you can spend more time using your PC and less time waiting for scans.

I am a bit biased – I hate Norton Anti-Virus with a passion. Back when I use to work on a PC (over 7 years ago) Norton was evil. I couldn’t un-install it. If The virus scanner was running I couldn’t run anything else or it would crash my computer – it was such a power hog. I hope it has improved over the years!

Expires 31st, August 2011.

Norton Coupon Code: 25% Off

Posted by on April 13, 2011 at 10:00 AM

Norton Coupon Code: 25% Off

If you are buying anything from the Symantec online store, like Norton software products, you can use this coupon code for an extra 25% discount on the marked prices.

Click here to use the Norton coupon code online

  • Coupon Code: NAMOFFERS25
  • Discount: 25% off
  • Expires: 16th April 2011

I tested the coupon code on a few products and the discount worked well. For example, 1 year of the popular Norton Anti-virus is $54.99 and the coupon code brought it down to $41.24.

I’m currently using one of Norton’s arch-rivals, Kaspersky! I’ve been using Kaspersky for a few years now, but I used to use Norton and I know a few of my family members still use it.

What anti-virus and protection do you use? Additionally, there are Bullguard coupons for a free 60 day trial.
