Canadian Freebie: Free Nine Inch Nails Download of The Slip Album

Thanks to Nicole for posting this fab freebie on the community forum! Get the entire The Slip album from NIN for free! A little thanks to their fans.

It is really simple. Enter your email, wait to get the email… click the link in the email and enter your unique code. You will have options of formats to download it in. Once the download is complete I just dragged and dropped the mp3s into iTunes (I have a Mac) and it worked perfectly.

The CD is 10 songs long, for a total time length of 43:45. The songs are:

    1. 999,999
    2. 1,000,000
    3. letting you
    4. discipline
    5. echoplex
    6. head down
    7. lights in the sky
    8. corona radiata
    9. the four of us are dying
    10. demon seed

I am all for free music, and though I might not like a song or two of this CD, I am sure a few others will more than make up for it! 10 free songs? I am in!

Dell Canada: Altec Lansing 3” Computer Speaker Drivers Expressionist Classic $29.99 (Was $99.99)

Posted by on May 22, 2012 at 8:00 PM

Dell Canada: Altec Lansing 3 Computer Speaker Drivers Expressionist Classic $29.99 (Was $99.99)

Get $70 off a set of Altec Lansing 3” Computer Speaker Drivers Expressionist Classic. On sale for $29.99 these babies originally were $99.99.

First of all, these things are really a thing of beauty. They are just gorgeous to look at. I love speaker drivers for the sound quality and you are certainly getting a sweet deal on these.

    Specs:

    • Compact and crystal clear
    • Impressive sound and design simplicity
    • Precision-engineered 3” speaker drivers deliver pure, distinct full-spectrum audio. [Intl: 75 mm]
    • Built-in controls for power and volume at your fingertips
    • AUX IN Jack for connecting portable CD, DVD, and MP3 players

I WANT these. Like, every audiophile bone in my body says BUY THESE! Everyone knows laptop speakers are pure crap. If you have ever listened to music through quality speakers you figure out quite quickly that:

    1. Laptop speakers are crap
    2. iPod’s quality is directly linked to power. If they are plugged in, better sound
    3. A good over the ear headphone set is worth its weight in gold
    4. External speakers are the way to go for any electronic device pretty much

I am a bit of an audiophile. I believe my ears deserve beautiful music. I am no where near the guy I know who has 10,000 speakers in his basement with his record collection (which I got to sit in front of and they were AWESOME). However, I pride myself in taking small steps to ensure the highest quality per $$ possible.

These speakers are $30 – with free shipping, totally worth the investment.

iTunes Canada: Free Listen To John Mayer’s New Album

Posted by on May 16, 2012 at 3:00 PM

iTunes Canada: Free Listen To John Mayers New Album

iTunes Canada is offering up free streaming of John Mayer’s new album, Born and Raised, for a limited time only.

Apparently John Mayer moved to Montana and did some growing up, wonder if that will be reflected in this album? Looks a little cowboy in this picture!

Tracks that will probably be the first singles – If I Ever Get Around To Living and Queen of California.

After a free listen to the entire album, you can pre-order Born and Raised for $10.99. The album is set to be released on 22nd May, 2012, so I imagine the free preview will end just prior to release.

The last couple of albums that have streamed for free on iTunes went on to be the top sellers when they were released, I imagine this new album by John Mayer will be right up there too.

iTunes Canada: Free Streaming Of Jack White’s Debut Album

iTunes Canada: Free Streaming Of Jack Whites Debut Album

iTunes Canada is offering up free streaming of Jack White’s debut album, Blunderbuss, for a limited time only.

Following his years with The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and The Dead Winter, Jack White has finally released his own album as a solo artist.

After a free listen to the entire album, you can pre-order Blunderbuss for $10.99 and download the song Sixteen Saltines immediately. The album will be released on 24th April, 2012, so I imagine the free preview will end on the weekend.

Free streaming of a new album – way better than listening to a short preview. You can really get a chance to get into the music and decide if you’d like to purchase it or not.

    iTunes: 69 Cent Songs

iTunes has a bunch of 69 cent songs featuring break out artists as well as Celine Dion, Billy Joel and Hedley.

I am previewing some of the Breakout Artists songs to see if there is any new up and coming I will love. I already am a huge fan of Billy Joel and they have such greats as New York State of Mind. I am not very familiar with Hedley and Celine Dion is just not my cup of joe but this still is a fabulous offering.

    Each song only 69 cents!

Enjoy a pair of Studio HD Monster Beats by Dr. Dre in black or white, $100 off! This stylish and very popular headset is only $249.99, originally $349.99 and comes with free shipping.

I am a bit of an audiophile and thus have Dr. Dre Monster Beats, Shure DJ SRH750 and a set of Denon as well. I find the Monsters best for chilling out at home and they have the most incredible base – neither of my other head sets matches their base. They also fold up nicely for storage and I love the storage container they come with: really protects them.

This is part of the Electronics Extravaganza at Dell Canada and thus this deal expires the 8th, November 2011.
