Photobook Canada: 8″ x 11″ Portrait Hardcover Only $10 + Shipping ($56 Value) (EXPIRED)

Posted by on May 10, 2015 at 11:30 AM

Photobook Canada: 8 x 11 Portrait Hardcover Only $10 + Shipping ($56 Value) (EXPIRED)

Today only, Photobook Canada is selling vouchers for their 8″ x 11″ Medium Portrait Imagewrap Hardcover photo book. This photo book usually retails for $55.99, but the voucher is now on sale for $10 with tax included. This is approximately 82% off the original price.

We have posted photo book deals before, but this is a little better than previous deals. In the past we have seen this exact book discounted to $22 a few times. Except for the odd freebie deal (very short lived), I have never seen this size of hardcover book this cheap.

This book comes with 40 pages of premium silk paper. You can increase the total number of pages up to 300, but you will most certainly pay extra per page added. The 8″ x 11″ medium portrait image wrap hardcover books are my favourites. They work well for family portraits and I already have two books in this size from Photobook Canada.

As with most of Photobook Canada’s deals, you buy the voucher now and then have several months to use it. This voucher expires on the 15th August 2015. That gives you plenty of time to compile your book. Maybe it will be about your summer holidays, your child’s graduation, or a road trip you have planned to visit some relatives. Perhaps, Canada Day is a big time for your family so you will make up a Canada Day memories book.

The $10 you pay includes the equivalent of 13% taxes so there are no added taxes. The only thing you need to pay is shipping. Unfortunately, shipping is a bit high ($11.99) but you will find this is true for most Photobook companies these days. You save so much on the book that you are still only paying $22, – which was the cheapest I had seen the book – without shipping – previously.

This is part of Photobook Canada’s Anniversary sale. It is their 10th anniversary so they are offering 24-hr deals on the 10th of each month. It is just coincidence that this sale fell on Mother’s Day this year. You could always buy your Mom a nice voucher and document her day through photos. Later, when she least expects it, you can send her the completed book to cherish.

Book Outlet: Extra 25% Off for Mother’s Day

Posted by on May 9, 2015 at 10:00 AM

Book Outlet: Extra 25% Off for Mothers Day

Book Outlet Canada is celebrating Mother’s Day by offering an extra 25% off their already discounted book prices.

The extra discount is taken off each book as you can see on the website. I decided to look for some of my old favourites and a few new ones.

My goal this year is to read all the books I have on my shelves that have not been read. I give each book a 50 page fighting chance. If I cannot get through 50 pages without yawning, then it is probably not a book I will want to keep. Currently, I am on page 185 of The Fellowship of the Ring by Tolkien. I think that not having read The Lord of The Rings series was a tarnish on my geek cred., so I started the series about a week ago. Purchase your own gorgeous copy of The Fellowship of the Ring from Book Outlet. Originally $19.99, the book is now down to $5.39 after the extra 25% off. I really like the cover of this edition.

I cannot recommend Neil Gaiman’s ‘Make Good Art’ Speech enough. I buy this book and give it to all the artistic people I know. I gave one copy to my friend Lee as he is into multi-media editing. I will be buying another copy for my friend Angel, as she is both a writer and a musician. I bought this book for myself as a graduation gift. Originally $12.99, the book is on sale for $3.59. This sweet little hard cover was worth the original price in my mind. The same book is $11.54 at Chapters.

If you are a Robert Jordan fan like my partner, you may want to check out the vast selection of books and graphic novels. I know my partner will be purchasing two books, as they are part of the series he is collecting (specific cover) and they are ones he does not have. Knife of Dreams for $5.39 and Crossroads of Twilight for $6.29 will be coming home with him. Knife of Dreams costs $16.60 at Chapters Indigo and Crossroads of Twilight costs $15.87. I can get both books for far less than the retail price of one at Chapters.

There are a myriad of gorgeous books and authors to choose from. Share some of your favourite authors below and maybe even recommend a few books!

Shipping is $3.99 plus $0.75 per book. Given that you are saving such a huge amount per book, the shipping cost is really offset by your savings.

PowerDirector 13 Video Editing Software Bundle Download Was $229.98 | Now $53.99 With Exclusive Coupon Code @ Cyberlink

Check out the PowerDirector 13 Video and Audio Editing Software on sale for Mother’s Day. This bundle retails for $229.98 and is on sale for $59.99. Use our exclusive coupon code to take off an additional 10%, making your total only $53.99.

PowerDirector is software that runs on a windows platform and makes amazing videos and special effects. While I am not a trained graphic designer, it would be nice to string together some of my family videos and pictures. This user-friendly software is just the ticket to create some great memories, and this bundle is a great price to get started. In addition, you can use our exclusive coupon code MOOSE10 and save 10% off sitewide, including this bundle!

Here is what you receive with this bundle:

  • PowerDirector 13
  • AudioDirector 5
  • PowerDirector Mobile: (for Win8 or Android)
  • Plus 5 special effects and templates packages including Cyberlink Travel Pack 2

There is also a free 30-day trial available for this software, fantastic! Thanks, Cyberlink! I like that I can try before I buy. Download it yourself and see if you gel with the basic functions.

Do be careful Bargainmoosers. Cyberlink automatically includes an extension on your downloading privileges in your cart, which will cost an extra $10.23. You can choose to remove that feature from your cart, and you will still have 30 days to download any software. The extension allows you to download the software for up to a year. A hard copy backup disk is also available for $8.60 but is not part of this package. Here is my cart to show you what it looks like when I removed the extras.

PowerDirector 13 Video Editing Software Bundle Download Was $229.98 | Now $53.99 With Exclusive Coupon Code @ Cyberlink

You do have the option of having a disc copy shipped to your home. Shipping is a little steep at $21.80, but the software package cost is still the same. The main software itself will be sent in disc form.  The included add-on packages are only available via download but are still available with the shipped option.

Price Compare

This bundle price is a downloadable copy of this software. Other places that were selling this software are selling a disk version of this software. I found this software available at Amazon Canada for $99.99. Over at Best Buy Canada, the Power Director 13 software is selling for $99.99. Both pieces of software include the mobile editing features and the cloud features. Neither of these prices includes the bonus audio software or bonus special effects features that are available directly from Cyberlink.

Are you wondering how this software rates compared to other packages like Adobe? PC Magazine rates it very highly. They have named the PowerDirector line of software the top pick in video editing software for beginners for over five years. Tom’s Guide also has a very positive review of this software. They praise the user friendliness for beginners but also mention there are many tools to support a professional’s work.

Overall, this is a great buy for a fantastic piece of software. This will be a great evening project as you unwind at the end of the day. Now maybe I can sort through those mounds of vacation and baby photos and turn them into something more fun!

KFC Canada: Purchase Mother’s Day Feast For $38 And Get A $10 Gift Voucher + $20 Spa Voucher

Posted by on May 7, 2015 at 3:00 PM

KFC Canada: Purchase Mothers Day Feast For $38 And Get A $10 Gift Voucher + $20 Spa Voucher

Don’t let mom cook this Sunday. This Mother’s Day (May 10) set your stomach on the Mother’s Day Feast at KFC Canada. While fried chicken isn’t my preferred food, this is a pretty good deal. The Mother’s Day Feast from KFC comes with a $10 KFC Voucher as well as a $20 voucher. That alone makes the $38 deal worth it. So not only are you surprising mom with a free meal, but you’re also gifting her with a $20 spa voucher for

Why not thank mom this year with chicken, fries and more delicious food? The Mother’s Day Feast from KFC is a great way to say thank you if your mom loved fried chicken. For just $37.99 you will get enough food to feed the entire family, as well as two other vouchers to give mom as a gift. The food included in the KFC Mother’s Day Feast is as follows:

  • 14 pieces of Original Recipe chicken
  • large fries
  • medium gravy
  • 2 salads
  • 6 pieces of Buttery Bread
  • 6 cookies

This feast is designed to feed 4-6 people, and it does. If you plan on bringing your kids to mom’s house this weekend to celebrate, then maybe grab this feast on your way. My grandma loves Kentucky Fried, so I might surprise her with this meal this weekend. She lives with my uncle and they eat a lot of KFC. They also have four kids so a meal this size normally feeds their entire family with some leftovers. My favourite part has to be the coleslaw or macaroni salad though. I am not a huge fan of greasy fried foods. What about you?

While the Mother’s Day feast is only a limited time offer, no expiry date has been listed. There are, however, expiry dates on the vouchers that are included with this Mother’s Day feast. The KFC $10 Gift Voucher can be redeemed between June 16th and 21st, 2015. The Spa Voucher expires on July 31st, 2015. This spa voucher is a great way for mom to go get that french pedicure done, finally. In Ontario alone there are over 600 spas to choose from that will accept this gift voucher. I would probably go to Dove Spa in Oakville. The thought of getting a manicure or pedicure has me excited already.

BOGO General Admission for Mother’s Day @ Landmark Cinemas (May 10)

BOGO General Admission for Mothers Day @ Landmark Cinemas (May 10)

This Mother’s Day, take your mom to the movies. Landmark Cinemas Canada has a printable coupon to bu one get one free on general admissions this Mother’s Day, May 10th. That means mom watches the movie for free.

Are you scrambling to think of a fantastic Mother’s Day plan? Sometimes it is just to just kick back and relax with mom, so why not go see a movie together? Landmark Cinemas Canada has a coupon valid for this Sunday the 10th of May. With this Landmark Cinemas coupon, buy one general admission and mom will get in for free. Just print the coupon or show it on your mobile device at the Box Office. Unfortunately you cannot use this coupon towards tickets purchases online.

There are lots of movies available to watch at Landmark Cinemas Canada right now. Even if you have young children, there are movies suitable for them as well. Some of the movies that are now playing at Landmark Cinemas include:

  • Hot Pursuit – tickets on sale now – advance screenings May 7
  • Ex Machina – tickets on sale now – coming May 8
  • Marvel Avengers – now playing
  • Furious 7 – now playing
  • Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 – now playing
  • The Age of Adaline – now playing
  • The Water Diviner – now playing
  • Unfriended – now playing
  • Woman In Gold – now playing
  • Home – now playing
  • Monkey Kingdom – now playing

My son and I went to watch the movie “Home” a few weeks back. Considering he is only 2 years old, he sat and enjoyed the entire movie without any complaints. I even found many parts hilarious. If you have young kiddos, perhaps you should consider going to see this movie with the entire family for Mother’s Day. Even if you’re the mom and have to plan this one yourself, it may be worth it. This adorably funny movie is about an alien race that takes over Earth. The main character Oh (alien) teams up with a little girl to find her mom and stop the aliens from taking over. Personally, the movies would be my kind of Mother’s Day!

You could spice it up a bit by dressing up or bringing flowers for mom. Chocolate is most likely welcomed as well. If you are looking for ways to save money on last minute Mother’s Day ideasthen read Clare’s blog post. For more Landmark Cinemas’ coupons and discounts, check out the Bargainmoose forums.

1800 Flowers Canada: Get 35% off Sitewide When You Use Visa Checkout

1800 Flowers Canada: Get 35% off Sitewide When You Use Visa Checkout

Not to inundate you with Visa Checkout offers, but these offers are seriously smokin’! Just in time for Mother’s Day, use Visa Checkout to order your flower arrangement at 1800 Flowers and use the promo code below and you’ll be rewarded with a whopping 35% off on your order.

Click here to order your flowers @ now

  • Coupon Code: VISA35
  • Discount: 35% off
  • Expiry: 9th May 2015

You don’t have to order the flowers just for Mother’s Day. You can order whatever you want for any occasion, but you do have to order by Saturday, when the coupon expires.

1800 Flowers has some really lovely arrangements that I wouldn’t mind getting and I’m sure most of us out there wouldn’t scoff and a flower delivery to show we are appreciated. As a mom of three boys, I work seriously hard. I love my boys, but they really do keep me up at night worrying about them. I can now appreciate everything my own mother went through with us as kids. I just hope my kid’s teen years are much nicer than mine and my brother’s were for her! I also hope that our family only stays at one set of stitches whereas my brother probably had about ten different stitch-ups plus a broken leg.

Why does your mom deserve flowers this Mother’s Day Moosers? Was it because of that time you threw up all over her new dress? How about the time you took her car for a midnight ride and crashed it? Or could it be that horrible boyfriend you held on to, knowing your parents would hate him (I had a few of those)? Either way, you can spend a lot or a little on flowers at 1800 Flowers, only you know what mom really deserves based on your behaviour! 1800 Flowers Canada: Get 35% off Sitewide When You Use Visa Checkout You’ll still get 35% off the total, so you can maybe splurge a little more than you are used to.

I am so in love with this gorgeous fanciful tulip and iris bouquet. Tulips are so simple that they are one of my favourite flowers. They go so well with the beautiful purple iris blooms too. Splurging on the deluxe that regularly sells for $64.99, once I’ve add the coupon and plan to check out with Visa Checkout, my total comes down to $42.24. Shipping depends on the day you send the flowers, as Mother’s Day and the Saturday both have a premium. The premium is only $4.99, so if you want mom to be happy on the day, then just spend the extra $5. Your discount will more than pay for your shipping costs and the premium.

If you were watching the other day, you may have purchased the WagJag deal that gave you $40 of flowers for $20. I don’t know if this will work with this deal, but there is no harm trying!

So, why does your mom deserve flowers this Mother’s Day, Moosers?

Oliver’s Labels: $5 Gift Card & Free Shipping with Purchase

Posted by on May 6, 2015 at 8:30 AM

Olivers Labels: $5 Gift Card & Free Shipping with Purchase

Oliver’s Labels is offering a free $5 gift card with any purchase! This is a special Mother’s Day promotion so do your Mom a favour and stick some labels on your clothes to reduce clothing attrition.

Products start at just $4.99, which is once cent under the value of the gift card you will receive. If you are being rather thrifty, then pick up the Room-eez Holiday Decals for just $5. Each sheet of decals has six bunnies on them. These decals are wall friendly! You can see how my demo cart looks:

Olivers Labels: $5 Gift Card & Free Shipping with Purchase

It is almost as if you are getting the wall decals for free!

This Large Bag Tag is perfect for your child’s luggage. Stick it on their gym bag, camp bag, or backpack to make sure nothing is lost. The tags are about the size of a credit card and highly durable. The plastic used is waterproof, weatherproof, and scuff-proof. One tag is only $4.99.  These tags would work well for adults. I like the idea of having a personalized tag on my luggage. When it comes off the carousel, it will help be establish which bag is mine. For people who own black or blue luggage – this can be the difference between you walking home with your luggage and someone else walking home with your luggage.

Mini Bag Tags work well for smaller backpacks, pencil cases, keys, and more. You will receive three tags (instead of one) made of durable plastic. A pack of three mini bag tags costs $7.99. I would stick one of these on my backpack and on my camera case in case I accidentally walk off without them.

There are plenty of other items you can purchase as well. I love the idea of these Safety Wristbands. Whether you are walking with your child through a large mall, going to the park, or going to a theme-park… this is an excellent way to ensure the safety and quick return of your child should you be separated. This also works well for elderly individuals who suffer from dementia, as my grandma did. A set of 17 labels costs just $11.99 and comes with that $5 gift card.

With each order, no minimum required, you will receive that $5 gift card and free shipping. I think this is a very good deal.

Sport Chek Canada: Free Shipping On Mother’s Day Gifts

Sport Chek Canada: Free Shipping On Mothers Day Gifts

Want to get your fitness-loving mom or mother of your children a gift from Sport Chek, but don’t want to spend $99 to get free shipping? Right now and until the end of the week, they are offering free shipping on all Mother’s Day gift ideas. This means that anything in this category will get free shipping, regardless if you buy it for mom, your wife, your sister or yourself.

There are some sale items in this section as well, if you like to stack your deals. For example, I’ve had my yoga mat since I was 20! That does say quite a bit about the quality of my mat, but it could also say I don’t do enough yoga. It does look a little ratty, so a new one would be a pleasant gift for me. This Gaiam 3MM forever pink printed yoga mat is pretty and its from the name brand in yoga accessories. Regularly $29.99, it is on sale for $17.99 and it will ship to you for free. Checking stores like Gaiam, Walmart, and even Best Buy, most Gaiam mats sell for around $30, unless they are on sale and all of those stores will charge shipping on top because you won’t meet the minimum.

If mom shuns yoga for golf, how about a new shirt to wear out on the links? This Nike Golf victory women’s short sleeve polo is simple but stylish and also sweat-wicking from the master in golf apparel. Regularly $60, it is on sale for $30 and of course, will ship for free.

Of course, you don’t always have to stack the deals with the free shipping, since saving the $10 in shipping fee is a good enough deal, feel free to buy mom something at regular price *gasp*. There are other categories like gear, running, lifestyle and more. If mom is sporty (and even if she isn’t) you will be able to find something for her from Sportchek.

evoDerma Coupon Code: 20% Discount & Free Shipping

Posted by on May 5, 2015 at 11:30 AM

evoDerma Coupon Code: 20% Discount & Free Shipping

**UPDATE: This coupon currently stacks with code ‘erica’ – for a total of 42% off! Thanks Mooser Mayuri!**

This is actually the first time we have ever had a dedicated evoDerma post, so take some time to check this Canadian website out. evoDerma sells hair removal and anti-aging technology. They also sell accessories for those machines as well as personal massagers. Their tools tend to be pricey, but they are investment pieces. Currently, evoDerma is offering 20% off site wide, excluding accessories.

Click here to shop @ evoDerma Canada now

  • Coupon Code: MOMDAY
  • Discount: 20% off
  • Expiry: Unknown

Apply this coupon code right on the product’s page instead of waiting to checkout.

I am not currently interested in hair removal or anti-aging, but I am always up for a good massage. The PRONECK Massager is quite the tool to relax tense and sore neck muscles. I suffer from chronic migraines and a lot of the pain in my head comes from tension in my neck. I actually expected this machine to be several hundred dollars. Thus, I was presently surprised that it retails for just $159. After coupon code, the massager comes down to just $127.20.

One reviewer said:

One of the best purchases I’ve made for myself in a while. It does everything that it says and feels amazing!!!! I especially love it for how easy it puts me to sleep – it relaxes me so much everytime. The heating part is especially great!

I guess it is never too soon to start with anti-aging products. After all, you still want to get ID-ed when you turn 30, right? (On a side note, I am 29 in less than two months and totally got ID-ed a week ago). The NOOME Anti-Aging Motion is an affordable solution for signs of aging. If you are not ready for crow’s feet, fine wrinkles, and more… then try out this little device. Originally $89, the device is now on sale for $71.20.

One reviewer said:

I have been using NOOME now for a few weeks and I love the results . My skin instantly looks refreshed and healthy! I can’t wait to see the effect it will have on my wrinkles.

I actually think the NOOME would make a nice Mother’s Day Gift for women concerned about again gracefully. There are also a couple hair-removal tools for sale, but the cheaper one (Lumi+) is already sold out. The other one costs a pretty penny.

All orders at evoDerma qualify for free shipping.

The Outnet Coupon: Free Shipping No Minimum ($25 USD Value)

Posted by on May 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM

The Outnet Coupon: Free Shipping No Minimum ($25 USD Value)

There is only one promotion I care about at The Outnet (US) – free shipping. Receive free shipping to Canada with the following coupon code to celebrate Mother’s Day. Shipping to Canada usually starts at $24.95 USD so you are saving a large chunk of money with this coupon!

Click here to shop discount designer goods @ now

  • Coupon Code: MOMSDAYOFFER
  • Discount: free shipping
  • Expiry: Unknown

Canadian shipping is express shipping so you will receive your purchase in three to four business days after your order has been accepted. All prices are in USD unless you sign into your Canadian account. When you sign in, prices (generally) switch over to Canadian. It is important to know that all duty / customs fees are calculated and charged at checkout. There are no hidden fees or fees you need to pay at your door.

Spring is here and I have been busy looking at dresses. Nothing says spring more than throwing on a sleeveless dress and a pair of sandals for the day. This Kain Nirvana stretch-jersey mini dress is on sale from $197 down to $87.75. This dress qualifies for an extra 30% off at checkout, thus you will pay $72.49.

Designer does not need to be expensive, as we can see from designer collaborations with Target (which just left Canada). The Target designer collections are always hard to get your hands on and they generally resell on eBay for a pretty penny. In the shoes section I found these Peter Pilotto for Target Geometric-print canvas sneakers and Floral-print canvas sneakers. Originally $29.99 a pair, they are now on sale for $17.99 with an extra 30% off at checkout. At checkout they come down to $17.99.

Rebecca Minkoff is a great designer of purses – I even own one but I do find the one I purchased a bit big. I would love to get my hands on this Mini Mac printed coated canvas shoulder bag on sale from $145 down to $79.75. The blue and white stripes with beige accents feel nautical. The same bag comes in a neon pink / orange colour variation (different pattern too) for the same price.

I could not help but look at one of my favourite designers: Alexander McQueen. These MCQ by Alexander McQueen Faux leather high-rise skinny jeans are on sale from $300 down to $90.

The Outnet is a fantastic place to buy designer clothing on a budget. Combine the above deals with free shipping on every order for the best deals possible.

Get a Free Poutine When You Buy a $25 e-Gift Card @ New York Fries

Posted by on May 5, 2015 at 8:16 AM

Get a Free Poutine When You Buy a $25 e Gift Card @ New York Fries

Why not get Mom what she really wants – french fries! Ok, not all moms eat french fries, but I’m sure they all love them and New York Fries is one of the best. Last month Brooke told you how to sign up for the Fry Society, which is New York Fries free loyalty program. This month, if you sign up, you’ll get all the same great rewards, but if you load a $25 e-card on your Fry Society, you’ll be rewarded with a free poutine!

I’m not completely sure what this poutine is worth and if you can get any of the varying poutines, or just the regular fries, gravy, cheese, but either way, I think it will be all good. It does have to be your first time using the Fry Society for you to get this offer, which is why it makes a great gift. Mom or Dad would appreciate $25 pre-loaded on to a Fry Society account, plus their free poutine. Need a gift for a grad? This would definitely make a great gift for a teenager making his/her way to college because what teenager doesn’t eat fries? None that I know.

When I go to New York Fries, I always get The Works, usually the veggie because it has cheese, sour cream, chives and tomatoes and is so delicious. My kids just love the plain fries with some seasoned salt and malt vinegar on them. My husband likes getting just a fry smothered with cheese sauce. It is only 8am and now I’m craving fries!

Head over to our Facebook page today for your chance to win a $25 e-gift card for New York Fries. Besides that contest, liking us on Facebook will keep you up to date on all the hottest deals. Similarly, if you join the Fry Society, you’ll find out about the latest offers from them in real time too.

This is the perfect magazine to take with you when you lounge by the pool, hang in your backyard or on your beach vacation. I always prefer lighter reading for summertime lounging. Twenty issues should take you most of the way through the summer with plenty of good browsing material.

Price Comparison

If you go straight to the source, HELLO! Canada is selling their magazine for $1.99 per issue according to their website. If you buy straight from the magazine, you are forced to purchase a full year subscription of 53 issues. From reading the fine print, the cost actually varies by region. That puts the total cost at $105.47 for Ontario, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Labrador and Manitoba. If you are in Quebec or Nova Scotia, the cost is $121.26. Those in Prince Edward Island will pay $120.24. Any areas of Canada not specifically mentioned will be charged $110.74. Rogers Magazine Service will charge you $99.95 for a full year subscription to HELLO! Canada. Though they do not specify how many issues a year’s subscription is, I would suspect it is 53 issues also. That breaks down to costing you $1.89 per issue.

Over at Rogers Magazine Service, you will find plenty of positive reviews on this magazine. The number is over 600 and counting! Here is a review from one reader who has been happy with the coverage of the new princess so far.

Love being able to keep up with the Royals. HELLO!  Canada has the most comprehensive coverage. Love all the photos. They are tastefully done and help me keep up with what’s happening in entertainment biz.

Save Money on Last Minute Mothers Day Ideas

Mother’s Day is one event where we know we are off the hook for having to spend a lot of money to show that we care or that we appreciate or that we love our mom.  Oftentimes, parents are grateful you are taking the time to be thoughtful and to spend time with them.  It is not like Valentine’s Day, where there is a plethora of high expectations and unfortunately, disappointment in a lot of cases due to the commercialization of it.

Mothers do so much for us, they believe in you, they took you to your soccer and hockey and dance classes with endless positivity.  They stay up late to help you study for the math exam and help you with your English homework.  They take you to countless library visits to borrow library books for you to inspire your love of reading.  They are there to provide you with wisdom and their life experience advice, which you don’t listen to and they watch patiently as you learn from your own experience.  They are there to support you, to encourage you, and to love you.

Mothers are wonderful and their love and presence is a beautiful gift that should be appreciated!

I remember as a child I would get together with my siblings to make breakfast in bed for our mom.  Now as an adult, things are slightly more complicated but I am pretty sure my mom would just appreciate anything that we do for her, even if it is taking her out for lunch and getting her some flowers.

Here are some ways in which you can save on some last minute Mother’s Day ideas:

Plan a Day Out with Family

One of the best and most memorable events, especially if you do not spend time with your family or mom very much, is to plan an entire day out with your mom and your family.  Think about all the things that your mom loves doing.  For example, you could start off with breakfast in bed, then move on to a walk with her furry friend to the local dog park, and a picnic lunch.  If she likes to watch movies or DVDs, have her come to your place for a marathon movie session of her favourite movies.  When was the last time you did these things with your mom?  I believe that planning a day spent with your mom will be really appreciated no matter what the gesture.

Create a Memory Book

One Mother’s Day gift in which I have been meaning to give to my mother is a photobook.  Lets face it, many mothers (especially those in the baby boomer generation), are not technologically savvy and would jump at the opportunity to have their photos and memories properly shared in a photo album instead of on the computer where it is difficult to access.

I know one day that I will get my act together and send my mom a photobook, but I know that if she saw it, she would be utmost excited.  There are many photo books creators out there.  Check out this Bargainmoose link for some ideas, who knows you might find a great coupon code in there.

The only caveat about this option is that you have to allow a month to have the book delivered.  Although I missed the boat this year, I am hoping I to arrange something like this for next year.

Make a Handmade Gift

TipJunkie has a ton of Mother’s Day gift ideas that will fit your smaller budget and won’t break the bank.  For example, buy a trifle bowl at your local dollar store and fill it out rounded stones and yellow tulips.  This makes a beautiful gift to give to your mother to show her your appreciation.  A lot of these handmade gifts from Tip Junkie won’t break the bank and they also appear high quality and are good for the wallet too.

Happy Mother’s Day everyone. Hope everyone has a great time spent with family and your mother.

Bargainmoosers, how else do you save money on your Mothers Day gifts?  Was there one Mother’s Day as a child that you will  never forget about?

Troll Beads Canada: Free Shipping, Free Gift Wrapping, Free Gift Message & Free Engraving!

Troll Beads Canada: Free Shipping, Free Gift Wrapping, Free Gift Message & Free Engraving!

Recently, I discovered a Canadian store which was new to me – This is a bead-on-bracelet store, selling a beautiful range of jewellery. And the reason I am blogging them here is the fact that there are a lot of things happening with the word FREE on their site, which I wanted to let you know about.

The four items in my header are the following:

  • Free standard shipping
  • Free gift wrapping
  • Free personalised gift message
  • Free engraving

So as you can see, place any order on site and you get all the above for free – sweet. I believe these are ongoing offers, so they’re probably not due to end any time soon.

The image I have used above is one of the bracelets in the Troll Beads copper range here. I think they’re absolutely gorgeous – I want one! You can create your own personalised jewellery creations by mixing bracelets, beads and locks, so I think these are the perfect idea for a gift. If you add a lot of items to your order though, the price goes up quite quickly so just watch out for that. For example, this Always There Bracelet just consists of one lock, one ruby bead and the sterling silver foxtail bracelet and it comes in at $239. Obviously the more you add, the costlier it gets.

So, while the actual items on site aren’t low-budget… if you were looking for something along these lines, then it’s nice to get free shipping and all the freebies mentioned above.

Free Gift on $150

If you spend $150 or more on the Troll Beads site until the 11th May 2015, you will also get this free umbrella. You don’t need to use a coupon code, the gift is automatic with your order.

Mother’s Day Orders: Expedited Shipping?

If you were thinking of Troll Beads as a Mother’s Day gift, there’s still time left to order and get your shipment in time for the 10th of May – but only if you pay a little bit extra. On the Troll Beads shipping page here, it says that you can choose the expedited shipping service – but that would be an additional $25 surcharge. Sadly that’s quite high… but the option is there if any of you need it.
