Krista posted a thread on the hot deals forums about the latest coupons for Michaels Canada, and she mentioned that the Michaels coupons can also be shown on your cellphone. Therefore, you can just show them on your cell in-store, instead of printing the coupons out.

Here’s a quick list of the coupons available this week:

• 40% off 1 regular priced item until 3rd February 2012
• 25% off entire purchase on frame items
• 20% off custom framing

So if you want to, just go to the above page from your cellphone, and show that at checkout.

Alternatively, for the Moosers with iPhones, you can use the Micheals app! Just download it to your iPhone, and you’ll have the app too hand when you arrive in-store. I just downloaded it to see what it was like and it seems to be pretty good. Here’s a screenshot of the main page, a current coupon and the deals section:

It’s really well laid out and simple to use. You can clearly navigate to the coupons page, and then show your coupon at checkout.  There’s also a “deals” section, so you can see the weekly flyer, and potentially pair up a coupon with a hot bargain.

And speaking of apps, I hope you all have downloaded the Bargainmoose deals app from iTunes or Android!

I really need to get a couple things framed – I should so use this. My great aunt does needle point and made us a beautiful piece for our wedding, and I really want to get it framed before anything happens to it But framing can be quite expensive (I should know, got 2 pieces done after my wedding), however, the results are beautiful.

Michaels is now offering teachers 15% off regular priced and sale items every day! If you are an educator all you have to do is show your educator ID and you are golden for an extra 15% off.

I think 25% off your entire purchase is quite generous. Michaels used to do a lot of 40% and 50% coupons, but that only ever applied to a single item. A printable coupon for the entire purchase is very handy!

Since I got the email, I checked a few other forums and I see that the printable coupon is generic, the bar code number is the exact same for everyone who received it, so you won’t have any issues in printing this out and using it in-store.

I haven’t been to Michaels in ages, but they are a great arts and crafts supplier for the average Canadian. When I have used the coupons in the past, even if the bar code didn’t scan they would accept it anyway. Cool company with some nifty stuff. Would like to take a trip back there sometime soon to get some more items for organization.. mainly their nice decorative boxes.
