Lowes.ca: Free Battery with Select Tools (Up to $129 Value)

Lowe’s Canada is giving away batteries with select tools and tool kits. Many of these bundles are also on sale so you already save money. You also receive a free battery valued at $55 up to $129.

Let us start with the cheapest kit you can buy to receive a free battery. The Bosch 18-Volt 1/2-in Cordless Drill with Soft Case is currently on sale from $139 down to $99. With it, you will receive a compatible battery. This battery is valued at $79.99! Overall, you are spending $99 for $219 worth of stuff between the drill kit and the battery.

There are two ways to receive your free battery. If you click ‘add the set’ on the main page above, then both the kit and the battery will be added to your cart. However, if you view product details and then add the tool to your kit, then you need to add the battery to your shopping cart as well.  Do you see the green bar below?

Lowes.ca: Free Battery with Select Tools (Up to $129 Value)

Make sure you click the ‘Add’ button for the appropriate battery to be added to your cart for free. If you miss this step, then there will be no free battery in your order. After adding the battery on, your cart should look like this:

Lowes.ca: Free Battery with Select Tools (Up to $129 Value)

There we go! You can see the battery is now in your cart and will cost you nothing. Most of these tools and kits qualify for free parcel shipping (on orders of $49 or more), so shipping should be free across Canada.

The most expensive battery belongs to this large DEWALT DCK290L2 20-Volt MAX* Lithium Ion Hammerdrill / Impact Driver Combo Kit. The kit itself cost $369, but is now on sale for $319. This pack includes:

  • 1/2-in Hammer drill
  •  1/4-in Impact driver
  • Two (2) Li-ion battery packs
  • A Fast charger
  • A 360° Side handle
  • A Belt hook
  • A Contractor bag

While the kit comes with two batteries, you are going to be running two tools with them. It is always nice to have an extra one sitting on the charger, or already charged, to slip in when one battery dies. If you happen to need both the tools at the same time – then there is no time to leave one battery on the charger. Your free battery will be battery number three! One of these batteries retails for $129 so you save that plus $50 off the original kit.

Lowe’s Canada: Up To 55% off BBQ Accessories

Lowes Canada: Up To 55% off BBQ Accessories

Although I find it sad that I think -2 makes for a gorgeous day, I can’t ask for a lot more in March in Ontario. Well, I could, I just probably wouldn’t get it! I had a friend on my Facebook get so excited about the rising temperatures we are experiencing this week, that he’s cleared off his deck and having a deck party this weekend. I personally would not go that far, but it got me thinking about all the BBQs that are going to get dusted off in the next little while, including mine. It also got me wondering where my BBQ fork is! I don’t have to worry about it too much, as Lowe’s has some great BBQ accessories on clearance, with up to 55% off. There are some hot deals to be had to get you prepped for deck season.

The first deal I’m going to alert you to is the Char-Broil 4-piece commercial series tool set. It includes spatula, basting brush, tongs, fork and a storage bag. Regularly $49.99, this set is now down to $29.99. The tongs lock and the basting head is removable for easy cleaning. These are made from commercial grade stainless steel and heat resistant plastic. This means that you know they will last and get through summer after summer of use.

I couldn’t find competitor prices for any of these accessories, but having a look around, I see that good quality BBQ tools are not cheap. I think this tool set would make the perfect inexpensive Father’s Day gift.

If you wanted a less expensive tool set, you could get the Master Forge 4-piece stainless steel grilling set. It comes with a spatula, tongs, basting brush and a headlamp. I’m sort of at a loss as to what you’d use the headlamp for, except I guess for night grilling. This set was $19.99 and is now $12.99.

I’ve heard that the best way to BBQ is to have a nice, clean grill and for that you need a Char-Broil nylon grill brush. This one also has a scraper blade. Regularly $14.99, it is now $9.99.

If you like to do fish on the grill, a Master Forge non-stick grilling basket could be your best friend. Regularly $10.99, it is now on sale for only $4.99, making it 55% off.

You’ll get free shipping at a $49 spend, so you’ll want to stock your cart with a few accessories to avoid those fees.

Lowe’s Canada: Up to 75% Off & $10 off $100 Coupon Code

Posted by on February 5, 2015 at 8:30 PM

Lowes Canada: Up to 75% Off & $10 off $100 Coupon Code

Lowe’s Canada is offering $10 off orders of $100 or more online. With the clearance section full of deals up to 75% off, this is a nice bonus offer.

Click here to shop @ Lowes.ca now

  • Coupon Code: SS10
  • Discount: $10 off $100
  • Expiry: 11th February 2015

We have seen a coupon of this value once before from Lowe’s Canada, and they also tend to have a 5% off $100 coupon every few months. Out of the two coupons, $10 off $100 is better.

The clearance section at Lowe’s is ripe with deals. I found an excellent sale on bathroom / hallway mirrors that will have you drooling. This Style Selections 30-in H x 24-in W Vancleaf Cherry Rectangular Bathroom Mirror was $99.99, and is now on sale $25. You save $74.99 off the original price. There are many other mirrors on clearance for 75% off right now, but most are out of stock already. However, this Style Selections 34-1/2-in H x 28-1/2-in W Liberton Cocoa Rectangular Bathroom Mirror is also still in stock. Originally $99.99, the mirror is on sale for $25. Unfortunately, neither of these mirrors qualifies for parcel shipping. They either require Lowe’s Truck delivery or you can pick up in store for free. I highly recommend the second option. With the above coupon code, you could purchase four mirrors for $90. Availability depends on your local store.

In the lighting section, I found the Harbor Breeze 52-in Barasway Bay Brushed Nickel Indoor Ceiling Fan with Light Kit and Remote Control on sale. Originally $229, the fan and light combo is on clearance for $179. After coupon code, pay just $169. This fan qualifies for parcel shipping so you will receive free shipping to your home. The last reviewer said:

I really am happy with this fan/light. The remote control is wonderful and it is very quite when fan is on. Easy to install.

Other reviewers thought that the fan’s remote control could be a bit better. Sometimes changing settings required multiple button pushing until the unit responded. One reviewer also thought that the unit hung a bit low, but neither of the other reviewers mentioned that issue.

Shop the entire clearance section to combine discounted prices with the $10 off $100 coupon code from Lowe’s Canada.

There has been a recent change to Lowe’s shipping policy. Lowe’s now offers free parcel shipping on eligible orders of $49 or more. There used to be no minimum to qualify for parcel shipping, but with rising postal costs this was an inevitable move.

For this and any future Lowe’s Canada coupon codes, please visit our forum full of deals!

Lowes Canada: GE 23 Bottle Wine Chiller Was $300 | Now $150 (EXPIRED)

Posted by on January 28, 2015 at 10:34 AM

Lowes Canada: GE 23 Bottle Wine Chiller Was $300 | Now $150 (EXPIRED)

Lowes has a fantastic one-day only deal today, with the GE 23 bottle capacity wine chiller on for only $149, with a regular price of $299. You’ll also get free shipping on this order.

Checking into the history of this wine chiller, Lowes had this on sale for Boxing Week at $179, so this is a very sweet deal!

Just to give you a comparison on GE wine chillers, this one from Best Buy looks a little larger and sells for $299. I couldn’t find this exact model to give you a price comparison, but looking at the bargain basement prices on Walmart, their 8-bottle wine coolers are about $150.

My husband recently built me a gorgeous wine rack, but being that I love my wine, I think I’d also love a wine cooler to store my whites and even my reds. Contrary to popular belief, red wine is best a little chilled, not at room temperature.

This wine chiller has adjustable temperature control and adjustable chrome plate racks, so you can choose the size of the bottles you’d like to put in. It has a 2.4 cu. foot capacity with a stainless steel exterior. I think stainless steel is the nicest finish as it would go well in any kitchen.

You see through the door to know when your stock is low as well, but the glass is tinted, as not to ruin the wine.

I also like the bottom has a sort of basket, that would be perfect for cans, like beer or pop, so if you are having a party, you only need one appliance to keep it all cool.

There aren’t any reviews available, but what more can you say about this wine chiller? It keeps the wine cool, it holds 23 bottles and it is made by GE, which is a reputable name in appliances.

Because this is such a low price and it is a today only deal, I wouldn’t wait to get your wine on.

Lowe’s Canada: BOGO Sale

Posted by on January 15, 2015 at 7:30 PM

Lowes Canada: BOGO Sale

Lowe’s Canada has a new sale on right now. Buy one item and get another item for either 50% off or for free. It is not always the same item, but Lowe’s explains what you are receiving, and the value of it, very well.

This link will open up to the tools tab, but do not ignore the other tabs. This offer is available on outdoor, bath & laundry, kitchen, for the home, and building materials.

There are some notable deals in the section. I really like the Offer on this Shop-Vac 12-gal 6-Peak HP Stainless Steel Wet/Dry. The Shop Vac itself is already on sale from $149 down to $119. Then, you will receive a free Shop-Vac 2.5-gal 2.5-Peak HP Wet/Dry valued at $39.99 with your purchase. I found the Shop Vac 12-gal at Home Hardware for $149.99 and at Amazon.com for $120.18 US. These qualify for free parcel shipping.

For BOGO free of the same item, the discount is shown on single items as a percentage savings. For example, this Mayfair Lift-Off Crane White Plastic Round Toilet Seat is on a BOGO free offer, but it appears you do not need to buy two of them to enjoy the savings. Originally $24.99, the toilet seat has been reduced to $12.50. I do not know about you, but there are few things more aggravating then a broken toilet seat. I especially hate the ones that slide around on top of the toilet while you are sitting on it. The seat qualifies for free parcel shipping.

If you are doing some spring-cleaning, there are some excellent prices on storage bins in this sale. The BELLA Contemporary Storage 37 L Tote was $12.99 and is now $6.50. It is a completely clear bin with a solid lid. The clear bin makes it easy to see what you packed in the bin. For a smaller bin, the BELLA Contemporary Storage 14-Quart Tote is a good option. Originally $7.99, it is now on sale for $4. Neither of these storage bins qualify for free parcel shipping as they are too bulky. However, if you live near a Lowe’s store, then you can pick them up in store.

There are many other deals for you to take advantage of during this sale. While Lowe’s offers free parcel shipping on many items, nothing that is large or bulky will qualify.

Lowe’s Canada: $70 Off SodaStream Pure – Now Just $59 & Free Shipping (LAST DAY!) (EXPIRED)

Posted by on January 14, 2015 at 6:30 PM

Lowes Canada: $70 Off SodaStream Pure Now Just $59 & Free Shipping (LAST DAY!) (EXPIRED)

Only a couple of hours are left but until the end of tonight, you can get the Sodastream Pure on sale for just $59 at Lowe’s! It was originally priced at $129 and also comes with free shipping since Lowe’s offers free parcel shipping on orders over $49.

As I already mentioned, you only have until the end of the day today to secure a deal but if you have been eyeing the SodaStream, then it’s definitely worth taking advantage of ASAP because it’s significantly more expensive everywhere else and there is no telling when it might go on sale again. To give you an idea, here’s a quick price comparison:

So, what exactly is SodaStream? It’s a soda maker that turns water into sparkling water in the matter of just seconds.

Neither Lowe’s’, Kitchen Stuff Plus’ or Amazon’s product pages have any reviews for this SodaStream, which is actually quite surprising, but on Walmart’s page, I found 3 reviews with a total of 5/5 stars. Here’s what the first reviewer had to say about it:

We have had this particular soda stream machine for about 6 years now! ..long before they started selling it in stores. It has been one of my best purchases! I love having seltzer available all the time!

The second reviewer echoed the same sentiments but if you want to read a longer review, then check out the third one, which starts with:

We didn’t know quite what to expect from Sodastream before it arrived. How much would it taste like store-bought soda? How easy would it be to use? Would it be as enjoyable as regular soda being low calorie? First, Sodastream soda does not taste like store-bought soda. The closest commercial products I can think of are some of the sodas in Italy or some of the sparkling products in the organic section of the grocery store. It is a healthier taste – cleaner and more fresh. It is good knowing you are drinking a healthier product.

Just that review alone is enough to convince me to buy it as one of my resolution for 2015 has been to not only eat healthier but drink healthier as well. It’s nice knowing that I don’t only need to stick to water with my meals!

Lowes Small Electrolux Versatility Canister Vacuum Was $500 | Now $170 (EXPIRED)

Posted by on January 14, 2015 at 10:23 AM

Lowes Small Electrolux Versatility Canister Vacuum Was $500 | Now $170 (EXPIRED)

Today only, Lowes is having a one-day only sale on small appliances. The feature of this sale is the Electrolux Versatility Canister Vacuum that was $499 and is now only $169. That’s a savings of $330.

Electrolux is a well-known name in vacuums, so you know you’ll be getting a quality appliance during this sale. This bagless vacuum is also super light at only 11 pounds, has a HEPA filter and cyclonic suction. In case you are vacuuming in the dark (totally possible when you have kids) or have lots of little toys laying around that you don’t want to suck up, it has an LED headlight so you can spot those suckers before they go up the vacuum.

I had a really hard time finding this vacuum for sale anywhere in Canada, besides on Amazon where it selling from a secondary seller for over $500. It does sell in the U.S. for about $400 USD, so no matter how you look at it, this is a hot deal.

If you aren’t in a market for a new vacuum, you’ll still want to check out this one-day sale on small appliances.

I found this Hamilton Beach convection toaster oven with rotisserie a really great find and perfect if you have a student going away to school on their own this year. Regularly $149, it is now only $99. I price compared elsewhere and found it the cheapest at Sears for $120.

Another hot find, especially if you like entertaining, is this Crock-Pot 5-quart stainless steel and black 2 vessel slow cooker. It was originally $99.99 and now $36.99, which is a $63 savings. I also couldn’t find this item anywhere else, but I think $37 for a dual crock pot is a sweet deal!

If you sign up for Lowe’s newsletter, you’ll also get a coupon for another $10 off your $50 order. Parcel shipping is free on orders over $49.

Boxing Day 1-Day Blowout Starts December 26th @ Lowe’s Canada

Posted by on December 23, 2014 at 11:34 AM

Boxing Day 1 Day Blowout Starts December 26th @ Lowe’s Canada

Lowe’s is getting splashy with a one day Boxing Day sale full of great home appliances for both inside and outside. They have a separate 1-day flyer specifically for December 26th only so you know the deals are going to be good. Shipping varies depending on the item, but some items you can pick up in the store for free.

Right off the bat it grabs me just how many larger home appliances are on sale at Lowes. One great buy is the Master Forge 5 Burner Grill with Rotisserie now only $299, was $550. This will make any BBQ fanatic very happy. It comes with 5 burners plus a rotisserie burner and a secondary rack for cooking. Imagine all the great backyard BBQs you could have with this grill. Now imagine how much fun it would be to snap pictures of your BBQ in the middle of winter. A little snow never stops us from having some BBQ chicken and shrimp at out house.

Here is one appliance worth looking for early. Check out the Bosch Ascenta Built-In Dishwasher in stainless steel. This one has mixed reviews but at the $498 (was $1048) price point it is hard to resist. Most reviewers claim it is a quiet machine but some complain it does not get the dishes quite clean enough. I would buy a nicer detergent and buy it at this price.

Lowe’s you had me at wine. Hidden towards the back of the flyer is this GE 23 Bottle Wine Chiller for only $179 was $299. They are saying right from the beginning their will only be 12 of these per store. For wine at my fingertips all the time I think it’s worth it. These chillers of this size normally price in at about $300.

Lowe’s is having a paint sale! My walls have been this warm beige colour for too long. Check out the Para Lifestyles Interior Paint now 50% off from $17.99. 3.24 and 3.7 liter containers are on sale, but you’ll have to venture into the store for this deal to make sure you get the exact colour you want.

Also check out their holiday selection and stock up now for next year. You can save 75% on all indoor and outdoor holiday décor, Christmas trees and lights. My kid has been eyeing every inflatable Santa from here to the playground. I will see if I can surprise her with one for next year.

Check out the full flyer here.

Lowes Canada: Igloo Mini Fridge Was $100 | Now $60 (Or $50 WIth Coupon!) (EXPIRED)

Lowes Canada: Igloo Mini Fridge Was $100 | Now $60 (Or $50 WIth Coupon!) (EXPIRED)

Trying to keep cold beverages in a room other than the kitchen? Right now Lowes.ca has the Igloo White 1.7 cu ft mini fridge on sale from $99.99 down to $59.99.

If you have a finished basement like I do, complete with a TV and sofa – then you know how unnecessary it feels to have to walk all the way up stairs to grab a drink during your favourite TV show or game. I have yet to invest in a mini refrigerator to solve this issue, but this might be our lucky day. While this mini fridge might not be fancy stainless steel or a top brand name, $59.99 is an excellent price considering the stainless steel model (also 1.7 cu ft) is $119.00.

This Igloo Mini Fridge has 1.7 cu ft capacity, which is plenty to store some pop, beer and maybe some veggies and dip! There is a door basket for 2L bottles and if you plan it right, you can store cups neatly on top. The flush back design of this Igloo Mini Refrigerator is to space save. It also features an adjustable thermostat if you want to keep things a little cooler. Have a hard to fit space for this item? The dimensions are 20.47 inches x 18.31 inches x 16.73 inches and it weighs about 38 pounds. The door is also reversible.

All in all, I would sacrifice the stainless steel option to save money – that is for sure! It also seems like an adequate amount of space for a basement, basement apartment, maybe even dorm room? Where have you required a mini fridge?

I had to head over to Walmart.com to find a review on this product, since there was none available on Lowes.ca as yet. The first review that caught my attention read:

I bought this mini fridge to keep at the office. I use it to keep six packs of beer cold. I mean soda… This is a perfect fridge for an office or garage space. It is very light weight and easy to carry. I have no complaints.

You will want to place your order by December 18th to ensure that you receive your purchase in time for Christmas. Lowes.ca is offering free parcel shipping with no minimum purchase, which does apply to this item to make the savings even better.

You’ll want to sign up for their newsletter if you haven’t, and you can get a coupon for another $10 off your $50 purchase.

Lowes Canada: Lodge 12″ Cast Iron Skillet Was $43 | Now $22.49 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 3, 2014 at 12:30 PM

Lowes Canada: Lodge 12 Cast Iron Skillet Was $43 | Now $22.49 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

If you have been looking for the ultimate cooking tool – here it is at Lowes, on sale for $20 off. Get the Lodge 12″ cast iron skillet for only $22.49, with a regular price of $42.98. You’ll also get it shipped to you for free since Lowes has free parcel shipping with no minimum purchase right now.

While there might not be anything special about a cast iron skillet, I have to say I absolutely love mine. I use it to cook almost everything. I find it browns up meat and vegetables so nicely that my non-stick pans just can’t compete. I can also put it right into the oven to finish cooking. This is a great feature for something like chicken that browns so nicely in the pan, but doesn’t get done enough on the inside. I just take it from the burner to the oven and it gets cooked perfectly.

Not just meat and veggies, you can even cook desserts in this pan. Have you seen the recipe for the cast-iron cookie? It looks so amazing! This is also a workhorse to take camping with you.

Some people think that cast-iron pans require a lot of maintenance, but it really doesn’t. You don’t even truly need to wash it. Technically, you should just wipe it out, but I do actually wash mine as I am afraid of germs. It does start to show signs of wear when you put water in it, so you just need to grease it up again.

Just to show you what kind of deal this is, I shopped around and found quite a price difference. For example, the same pan is available at Hudson’s Bay – for a whopping $64.99 plus shipping! The closest that I found in price was at Amazon, but this was on a smaller 8″ model and believe, you want the larger pan. When you are cooking a few pieces of meat, you want some space between them or they start to steam a little bit, which means your crust will not be as crispy. At Amazon that smaller pan sells on sale for $25.48, which is still more than the Lowes price for the larger pan.

Lowe’s Canada: Free Tool With Porter Tool Purchase & Free Shipping

Posted by on November 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM

Lowes Canada: Free Tool With Porter Tool Purchase & Free Shipping

As part of Lowe’s early Black Friday sale, they are offering a free Porter Tool with a Porter Tool 20V or Tool Kit Purchase. The value of your free bare tool varies from $59 up to $89.

Your best deal is to spend as little as possible and get the most expensive bare tool as a freebie. To achieve that combination, you would want to purchase the 20V MAX Li-Ion Drill/Driver & Reciprocating Saw Combo Kit for just $159. You receive a Drill/driver, a Reciprocating saw, a single battery, the charger for the battery, a six-inch fast wood cutting blade for the saw, a double-ended blade tip for the drill, and a storage bag for your goodies.

This bundle also qualifies for free parcel shipping, which is no small thing when we are talking about decently heavy tools. Now, with your purchase you qualify for your choice of freebies. Here are the items you can choose from:

  • 20V Li-Ion Jig Saw – $59
  • 20V Li-Ion Circular Saw - $79
  • 20V Li-Ion Oscillating Tool – $89
  • 20V Li-Ion Grinder - $69

There was a 20V Li-Ion Reciprocating Saw ($79) option but it appears to be out of stock. To get the best value for your buck, the Oscillating Tool is your best option. However, most shops would get far more use out of a Circular Saw, which is valued at a healthy $79.

Lowes Canada: Free Tool With Porter Tool Purchase & Free Shipping

Now, there is a reason I have been using the term ‘bare tool’ and it is not just because the website uses that term. The free tool does not come with a battery thus it is considered ‘bare’. With your kit and your free tool, you will have three tools with one battery between them. In the future, you may want to watch for sales on additional batteries.

The tools are not completely bare, however. The Oscillating Tool comes loaded with extras like:

  • 14 sanding papers
  • Sanding plate
  • Precision Wood blade
  • Bi-Metal blade
  • Rigid scraper
  • Carbide Grout blade
  • Accessory storage box

All these little things come free of charge with your purchase. With such high value tools free with purchase and free parcel shipping, I think this is a fantastic deal as we approach one of the busiest shopping days of the year. Stick one of these under the tree for your favourite handyman or woman.

Quantities of each free item appear to be limited as one is already out of stock.

Lowes Canada: Outdoor Christmas Decoration Musical Show Box Only $180

Lowes Canada: Outdoor Christmas Decoration Musical Show Box Only $180

Want to put on a light show that will rival Clark Griswold’s? Make your neighbours either envious or wishing they had bought a different house with this Christmas decoration musical show box that will sync up your music with your lights for an incredible light and music show. Lowes has it on sale right now for $199.99, but you can also add the coupon code they have on this weekend to get another $20 off (10%) and pay only $179.10. The regular price is $249.

Click here to shop @ Lowes.ca now

  • Coupon Code: WEEKEND10
  • Discount: 10% off
  • Expiry: 9th November 2014

Every year around the holidays, we drive around neighbourhoods looking for fun lights to show the kids. It is part of our Christmas tradition. I’ve even done one of those Polar Express magic ticket things and got them snacks and hot chocolate for the ride, while we watch the light shows around the city. This year we’ll skip the hot chocolate (damn hard to get out of vehicle fabric!), but we’ll drive around our new town looking for lights. But, wouldn’t it be awesome if the kids could just stand outside and look at our own house?

My husband is so much like Clark that I could see him making this his holiday project (and I may not see him again until Boxing Day because of it). While $250 plus tax is a steep price to pay for Christmas decorations, less than $180 really is not considering this item will last year for years.

There are ten light show functions to choose from and you can use the free app to control the six outlets right from your wireless device. Sit in comfort in your front room and change up the music and lights to the passerby’s amazement.

The box is also weather resistant, so when 10 feet of snow land on it, you’ll know it will be safe, although I think I would brush it off at this point.

This item will also ship for free as Lowes has free parcel shipping.

Lowe’s Canada: Werner 2-Step Steel Step Stool $16 & Free Shipping

Lowes Canada: Werner 2 Step Steel Step Stool $16 & Free Shipping

Lowe’s Canada has a fantastic deal on this household and shop essential: the Werner 2-Step Steel Step Stool. Originally $23.99, the step stool is now on sale for $15.99 with free parcel shipping.

This two-step steel step stool is a basic household essential that every house needs if you do not want to kill yourself. I measure all of 5’3 so reaching the top of my upper cupboards is just not possible. Thus, I keep a two-step stool, just like this one, near the kitchen for fetching food and dishes off the upper shelves. When I was a little younger and spryer, I would hop up on the counters myself to pull things down. However, I do not wish to set a poor example for the cats now. Lowes Canada: Werner 2 Step Steel Step Stool $16 & Free Shipping

I price compared with similar step stools from other Canadian companies. I did find this exact stool from a marketplace seller at Amazon Canada but he wanted $27.69 for the stool and then over double that price for shipping. Walmart’s own no name brand of a two-step steel stool costs $19.97, so Lowe’s sale even beats Walmart’s price on a lower end product. The cheapest option I could find at Home Depot was the EasyReach by Gorilla Ladders for $18.45, but it is sold in stores only so home delivery is not an option. Their more expensive ladder was only sold in stores as well.

The Werner step stool features a large upper platform for a secure and comfortable standing area from which to work. The slip-resistant steps help you keep your balance while you reach for whatever you need. The steel ladder is foldable, making it easy to stow between shelves, hang on the wall, or slid in behind a door. I currently have mine in between a bookshelf and an end table in the dining room. It makes sense if you see it.

The ladder can hold up to 200lbs and is one of those extremely useful items that should just be in your home or garage. At only $16 with free shipping, it is an easy purchase and certainly will not hurt the bank account. They also last an absolute lifetime. Unless you drop something very heavy on one of the steps and break them, this ladder will probably outlive you!

While the deal is on nearly until the end of November, they could sell out. Please let us know if they do!

Lowe’s Canada: 40% Off Christmas Lights & Free Shipping

Lowes Canada: 40% Off Christmas Lights & Free Shipping

Lowe’s Canada is offering a little incentive to start your Christmas shopping early – receive 40% off Christmas lights and more with free shipping.

Technically you could get no name Christmas lights for a tiny bit cheaper. However, these Christmas lights are Holiday Living and GE brand lights, which should be a better quality than no name brand lights. Thus, for the nominal amount more you are paying with this deal – I think the brand name lights are the better way to go.

Regularly priced at $12.99 each, you can purchase strings of 100-count mini Christmas lights for just $7.79. Choose from either the Holiday Living 100-Count Mini Clear Christmas lights or the Holiday Living 100-Count Mini Multicolor. Compared with other brands like Home Accents Holiday, which Home Depot sells 200 minis for $19.97, this is a good deal for name brand lights.

GE, also known as General Electric, is a household name and really makes quality goods. They are responsible for the fancier bulbs that Lowe’s has on sale right now and that you can purchase for 40% off. These bulbs are all C5 in size and I love the beveled surface on them. They are made for outdoor use and are more durable. They stand up to the cold and can handle a Canadian winter for sure. All the GE C5 bulbs were $14.99 and are now only $8.99. Choose from:

You can also use them indoors if you like. There are two different types of ‘clear’ bulbs so they require a second look. I highly prefer the cool clear as it is more of an ice blue clear. The warm clear looks somewhat odd to me.

All of these lights are currently 40% off and qualify for free shipping. There are a few other things for sale (including other lights and decorations) in their little impromptu Christmas sale section. However, the discounts are much lower – more around 25% off for the rest of the items. I do think these lights are worth picking up early, as they are a good price and quality brands that should last you many seasons. Christmas lights are one of my favourite things about Christmas; I hope to see many houses lit up this year.
