Live Out There: 70% Off Smith Optics Sunglasses & Free Shipping

Live Out There: 70% Off Smith Optics Sunglasses & Free Shipping

A new pair of sunglasses should be good quality but not cost you a fortune. Take advantage of Live Out There Canada’s 70% off sale on select Smith Optics sunglasses with free shipping, no minimum required.

There are three pairs of sunglasses included in this sale. Each pair of sunglasses is a different style, which increases the chance of you finding a pair that suits your face shape.

First, The Smith Optics Approach is on sale from $199.99 down to $60. These lightweight glasses are your one set of sunglasses for any condition. The frames include three sets of interchangeable lenses to cover any lighting condition you may encounter. I do not think I have seen this feature in any other set of sunglasses I have looked at. I think it is cool because you are getting three pairs of sunglasses on one – essentially.

The Smith Optics Soundcheck Polarized is a teardrop shaped aviator lens in a lightweight frame. The sunglasses come in your choice of two colours: tortoise with polarized brown lenses and scarlet fade with sienna gradient. Oddly enough, it shows you can choose from three sunglasses but the first two are the same colour frame and lens. Originally $139.99, the Souncheck Polarized glasses are on sale for $42.

Lastly, we have the Smith Optics Men’s Ridgeway. This is a minimalist pair of sunglasses with a lightweight stainless steel frame. The shape appears to be the same as the Soundcheck sunglasses above – so an aviator style lens. In this style, you have three colour choices:

  1. Gunmetal / Polar Grey
  2. Matte Gold / Polar Grey Green
  3. Matte Silver / Polar SPR Platinum

I really like the gold and grey/green combo. Out of all the sunglasses above, I think this is my favourite style and colour combination. Originally $169.99, these sunglasses are now $51.

All three pairs of sunglasses are a wicked deal and there are still plenty of options within styles as well. I did a bit of price comparing but the prices were silly. The Sierra Trading Post had the Ridgeway glasses for $136.89 and a secondary seller on Amazon had them priced at $152.10. I did not find any company that had as good of a deal on these sunglasses as Live Out There Canada.

All sunglasses are one size fits all.

Live Out There: 70% Off Montrail Shoes & Free Shipping

Live Out There: 70% Off Montrail Shoes & Free Shipping

Live Out There has some really fantastic deals on right now as you may have noticed from a few previous posts. While looking for a new pair of runners without shelling out at my local store, I found a bunch of Montrail shoes for 70% off and free shipping.

There are eight styles on sale. Many of these styles only have one or two sizes still available. However, there are a few with a fetter selection.

The Women’s Rogue Racer is a trail racer with a low profile. The shoe is ultra-lightweight with a good grip. Originally $119.99, this pair of runners is on sale for $36. Sizes 6.5, 7, 7.5, and 8.5 are still available. The shoe also appears to be quite breathable with the upper honeycomb style mesh. Enjoy the bright blue and neon green colour scheme to brighten up your run.

The Women’s Fluidfeel Shoe is built for trails, for pavement, and really to be the best all-terrain shoe you can buy from Montrail. If you need a pair of runners to take you from the woods to the grocery store – check these out. The muted black and greys will not stand out while the pink highlights provide a nice feminine touch. Originally $119.99, the shoes are on sale for $36. Sizes 6, 6.5, 7.5, 9.5, and 10 are in stock.

The Montrail Women’s Fairhaven is a trail runner shoe for those who might run across pavement occasionally. The shoe features good grip for trails, a comfortable insole, and FluidPost stability technology for optimal support. Originally $129.99, the Fairhaven runner is now on sale for $39. Between the two different colour options, there are five sizes still in stock.

I neither run nor hike trails very often. The height of my off-road exercise occurs when I cut across fields, as it is the most direct route to my destination or climbing over small rocks and walking along the rocky British Columbia coast. Given my usual habitat, I would opt for the Fluidfeel shoe as it handles pavement and a little off-roading as well. I just do not do enough hiking to justify having a separate hiking shoe.

Not only are these shoes an excellent deal, but they all qualify for free shipping as well. Shoes are not exactly the lightest things in the world (they are bulky too) so this is one of my favourite parts of this deal.

Osprey Tablet & Laptop Backpack Was $150 | Now $45 + Free Shipping @ Live Out There

Osprey Tablet & Laptop Backpack Was $150 | Now $45 + Free Shipping @ Live Out There

The Osprey Tablet & Laptop 40th Anniversary Pack is on final sale @ Live Out There now for 70% off. This pack designed to hold your tablet or laptop was $150 but now is only $45. Free shipping is available with every order @ Live Out There.

Live Out There is having a mega clearance sale with items up to 70% off. Check out this sleek solution for your laptop or tablet on the go. The Osprey Company designed this sleek pack that was $150 but is now only $45.

Osprey is known for building quality and rugged hiking backpacks that stand up to big adventures. They have applied the same technology to this slim pack designed for commuters to hold your laptop or tablet in a slim bag. This pack is perfect for someone who likes to commute by bike, train or bus. Maybe you like to take adventures in city and need to keep your tablet or laptop close. I could see this pack being useful for a student who wants a lighter bag. I could imagine this pack working well for someone who likes to use their technology close out in the woods.

This backpack is slim and sleek. It comes in a neutral black colour and fits a laptop that is up to 14ʺ/36cm. This pack has several pockets to keep you organized. It has a pixel pouch that allows you to access a tablet without pulling the device all of the way out of the backpack. Simply lift the flap to check your device, then hop back on your bike or train and be on your way. I could see that feature coming in handy when you have saved directions or maps on your iPad, whether you are wi-fi enabled or not. I often will calculate my directions at home on my iPod touch and snap pictures of the step-by-step directions. Since I do not have wi-fi on the go, this is a great cheap alternative to a GPS. I would also use this pack to read my book on the train when I am hoping on and off the metro quickly between stops.

I found this exact media backpack at Amazon.ca for $89.95. This is a special edition backpack and seems to have cleared out of most of the other stores. I also found a comparable Pixel Media backpack at Altitude Sports for $160. The Osprey Unisex Spin 22 is also a similar comparable media bag that I found available at Altitude Sports for $160. Osprey’s media bags do not seem to be carried many places in Canada. I would consider this a close buy to a SwissGear Backpack. A similar laptop backpack that is a little bigger and made by SwissGear is retailing for $86 at Amazon.

There are not any reviews available on this pack, I suspect since it is an anniversary edition. Most of the hiking backpacks that Osprey makes seem to have high ratings. The comparable media packs that I mentioned are available at Altitude Sports also both have five out of five stars.

Bargainmoosers, what do you use to stash your tablet or laptop on the go?

Lole Activewear & Jackets Now 70% + Free Shipping @ Live Out There

Lole Activewear & Jackets Now 70% + Free Shipping @ Live Out There

Live Out There is having a major end of season clearance sale. Check out all of the Lole activewear pants, tops and jackets that are now 70% off. Live Out There offers free shipping on every order with no minimum.

Right now a large selection of Lole activewear and jackets at are on sale at Live Out There. Many items are up to 70% off.  Looking specifically through the list of Lole brand products, I am seeing a nice selection of coats, tops and even a few pants and skirts. Many of these items will work just fine for springtime and some may even work for summer.

For example, I really love the Women’s Essential 2 Cardigan that was $100 but is now only $30.  This zip up top comes in the colour Pomegranate, and is available in sizes in extra small, medium and large. If you are a size double extra small there is a white or blue version available. Lole has this exact zip up top for sale on their website in other colours and patterns retailing for $70. I actually personally like the patterns available at Live Out There’s sale better than what is on Lole’s site currently.

After you score that great zip up top, you need an awesome pair of yoga pants to go with it. I like the Women’s Lively Pants in the colour storm. These pants were $104 but you can score them for only $31.50. The sizing options look pretty good. Sizes extra small, medium, large and extra-large are all available. These are one of Lole’s signature pair of yoga pants. The colour is a grey colour so perhaps they simply did not sell as well as a standard black pair of yoga pants. Mix up your black yoga pants and throw this comfortable grey pair into your closet.

If you need a new spring rain jacket it might be a good time to pick up one. I keep eyeing the Women’s Kensington Jacket. This jacket was $220 but is now only $66. This fab jacket is black and comes in sizes extra small, small and medium. This is a three quarter length jacket. The fabric is made of nylon twill and includes a durable waterproof layer.  The jacket is a lighter weight, which means it should be perfect for those rainy spring days we are all awaiting anxiously. I really wish they had this jacket in my size. I have a short trench coat, but for some really rainy days my trench coat is just not waterproof enough.

There are many other great items on sale at Live Out There. If you need athletic sandals for spring and summer, check out my previous post about the great pairs of Teva sandals on sale. Summer hiking is right around the corner and I am more than ready to stretch my legs.

Live Out There Canada: Smith Optics Men’s Variance Helmet Was $190 | Now $57 & Free Shipping (Expired)

Posted by on February 2, 2015 at 9:14 AM

Live Out There Canada: Smith Optics Mens Variance Helmet Was $190 | Now $57 & Free Shipping (Expired)

Live Out There has a great clearance event going on right now and I found a doozy of a deal. Get the Smith Optics men’s Variance helmet for only $57, with a regular price of $189.99. This item will also ship to you absolutely free as Live Out There has free shipping on all orders.

My older boys tried skiing for the first time this weekend. They loved it so much, they said the baby hill where they did their first lesson was too slow and they wanted some bigger hills. I can see the money just floating right out of my wallet. I’m happy they enjoyed themselves and have found a winter sport that they participate in, even if it is an expensive one! They went out there in their Bolle helmets that I spent more on than this helmet costs for adults. I should have looked for a deal at the time, but it was kind of an impulse purchase. Those never get you the deals!

But, if you have been waiting to get a new helmet, now is the time with this one from Smith Optics. There are three colours available: the matte graphic is available in a small; the matte black is also available in small; and the matte colbalt is available in medium.

I shopped around to ensure this was the best price out there before letting you know about this deal. I found this helmet at Skis.com for $180! Sportchek sells it on sale for $151.99. You might want to check out that Sportchek link as well, as it lists a lot more information about the helmet than they do at Live Out There, like that it has a lifetime warranty. Backcountry.com sells it for $179.95.

As you can see, Live Out There’s deal is fantastic! If you plan on getting two, or are looking at the rest of their clearance items, you might want to check out our forum, as we’ve got an exclusive coupon code that will get you $25 off $99 for new accounts. It doesn’t say if it works on clearance items, but it is worth a try!

70% Off Teva Sandals & Footwear @ Live Out There

Posted by on January 23, 2015 at 10:00 AM

70% Off Teva Sandals & Footwear @ Live Out There

Live Out There is having a winter blowout sale right now, through to the end of January. Most of their items are marked 40% to 50% off but I found some great sales on Teva Sandals and Footwear on final sale for 70% off. Live Out There provides free shipping for all orders in Canada, no minimum.

Oh hiking sandals, you and I have such a quiet love affair. Hiking sandals are my footwear of choice in the spring and summer time for activities such as hiking, camping or canoeing. I have owned several pairs of both Teva sandals and flip flops over the years and have long been impressed with the quality, foot support and durability of their shoes.  I convinced my husband several years ago to buy a pair and now he loves his too. Shoe love does not come easy from a man who refuses to own more than 6 pairs of shoes! Teva sandals do give you a decent foot support for many outside pursuits though they are not a substitute for hiking boots when out on rugged terrain.

Check out the Women’s Kayenta Sandal options. These sandals were $89.99 and now are only $27. This rugged sandal comes in two colour styles. Dream Weave is a black with some red accents and comes in size 8.5, 9.5 and 10. There is also a pair in a slate blue-grey colour with white accents that is only available in size 7. I may consider replacing my older 3-year-old pair with the Dream Weave style for myself. These sandals are retailing for $72 to $100 at Shoeme.ca depending on the colour. I see also that they used to be listed at a variety of sports outfitters but are no longer in stock. I noticed that this is a spring 2014 model, which is probably why I am not finding these available elsewhere. It seems that Live Out There is making room for the new spring line.

If you like an even sportier look check out the Women’s Toachi which was $109 and is now $33. This sandal is available in both a pink and grey or in a blue and grey style. The pink comes in multiple sizes but the blue only comes in size 8.5 and 11. Shoeme.ca has these sandals on sale for $88 and seems to be the only other retailer carrying these in a women’s model. I like that these include an extra shock pad in the heel that will give your feet a little extra support and comfort.

There are other great Teva sandals and shoes on sale for both men and women at 70% off. The sizing availability is a little spotty. Use the search features on the left to narrow down your choices to your size. If you are looking for more great deals from Live Out There, check out this post from Eva for this great pair of Lole snow pants or click around to check out more of their winter sale deals.

Live Out There: Lole Women’s Alex 2 Pants Were $230 | Now $115

Posted by on January 16, 2015 at 10:06 AM

Live Out There: Lole Womens Alex 2 Pants Were $230 | Now $115

If you need a good pair of stylish winter pants for all your outdoor pursuits like tobogganing with the kids, skiing, snowshoeing and even just to keep warm on those frigid days, Live Out There has a great deal for you. Get the Lole women’s Alex 2 pants for only $115, with a regular price of $229.99.

I’ve really been interested in Lole, as I find them a great alternative to Lululemon with their fitness clothing, but they also definitely beat them with their outerwear. I saw a mom picking up her kids at school the other day in Lole winter coat and I though it looked amazing.

These snow pants also look amazing and I’m thinking of getting them to replace my 15-year old snowpants that sort of don’t do up at the waist. Hey, three kids later, what can I say?

I am loving the beaujolais colour, but those only come in the extra large. Black is only available in extra small. But the dark charcoal is available in medium and large. It looks all sizes are represented as they don’t seem to have size small in these pants, you just have to choose your colour based on your size. I think all look great.

Made from windproof and waterproof fabrics, these pants will do you the entire day long in the great Canadian outdoors. While I find it ironic that the model is wearing runners with these, they are meant for the coldest days. They’ve also got an adjustable waistband (yay for me!) and a zippered fly. You can fit what you need into the zippered pockets and know that it will stay there. They also have snow gaiters, and honestly, I don’t know what those are.

Checking around, I found these pants on sale at Lole for $161. Backcountry also sells them, but they are out of stock. I did though, find a review for these pants on BackCountry.

I wore these pants all last year skiing. I was warm and dry in all conditions. I love the pocket located lower on the leg – makes it really easy to access while riding the chair lift. wide waist band and adjustments on the side make for a great fit!

These pants will also ship to you for free, as Live Out There offers free shipping on all orders.

Live Out There Canada: Scratch & Save Up to 50% Off

Live Out There Canada: Scratch & Save Up to 50% Off

Live Out There Canada is sending up to 50% off unique coupon codes when you subscribe to their newsletter.

The email address you enter will receive a unique coupon code. You must click through the email to activate the coupon code. It will automatically add to your cart. If it does not automatically activate, then copy and paste it into the coupon code area at checkout. You can use your coupon code on any regular priced items in their store. Your coupon will be valid for whatever you place in your cart, whether one item or five items.

Coupons come in 10% increments from 10% up to 50% off. There have been reports online of people receive all levels of discounts so you always have a chance of scoring one of the big ones. You will be able to see what coupon you received in your cart before checking out. If it is not a high enough discount for what you want, there is no need to buy.

I checked in with a gentleman named Sean on customer service. I wanted to know if you were not a previous subscriber, if you could still score the coupon code. He said:

you can receive the code but I should warn you it is not an immediate thing

He further mentioned it took one person a couple hours to receive her code, and that was the longest that he knew of so far. So delay that immediate gratification and prepare for a bit of a wait. That being said, the wait could score you a killer deal. Many Canadians are looking ahead to winter and contemplating the condition of their current winter coat. Live Out There has all the winter coats, mitts, toques, and other gear you need for the coming cold.

On my wishlist? These Teva women’s Refugio shoes for $79.99. I have worn through the heels of my current sneakers and desperately need a new pair of shoes. I have had good experiences with the width of Teva shoes and would love a pair of these as they are water friendly and great for warm weather hiking. I only received a 10% off coupon so if anyone has a 50% off coupon to spare, I would love to use it on a new pair of shoes.

Receive free shipping on all orders.

Live Out There Moving Sale (Up to 50% Discount) & Extra $25 Off $100 & Free Shipping!

Posted by on August 23, 2014 at 1:00 PM

Live Out There Moving Sale (Up to 50% Discount) & Extra $25 Off $100 & Free Shipping!

In the many hundreds of emails which Bargainmoose gets every day, I spotted an “online moving sale” at Live Out There, the Canadian active lifestyle retailer. In this sale, they’re offering up to 50% discount on select items.

I had a browse and there are some top brand names on there. Items are not inexpensive, you’re paying for good quality gear here. While up to 50% doesn’t sound like an outstanding sale to be blogging about, I did a little testing and noticed that you can stack a coupon code on top of the sale prices, giving you even better deals. Use the Live Out There coupon code ETAIL25 for an extra $25 discount on orders of $100 or more!

If you’re on the hunt for a good quality jacket for the winter, there are many in this sale, with prices discounted between 30% and 50%… with the sweetener being that the extra $25 coupon code will apply to many of them too. For example, here are a couple of picks:

Men

Women

It’s worth a good hunt through the sale items and find something you like, then combine it with the coupon code for an even sweeter deal. I did a few price comparisons on some other sites like Mec.ca and Sportinglife.ca to see how the prices measured up. The prices from Live Out There are excellent.

You will get free shipping AND free returns on any of the above items – you don’t have to worry about shipping whatsoever. You’ve got the rest of August to shop these sale items… but I’d recommend buying soon in case your fave items sell out.

Live Out There Canada: Up to 50% Off Outdoor Gear

Posted by on September 11, 2013 at 6:30 PM

Live Out There Canada: Up to 50% Off Outdoor Gear

Live Out There Canada is hosting their semi-annual sale with up to 50% off clothing, footwear, hike and camp gear, and accessories.

I’m not much for camping anymore as there is just nothing like camping with my Dad. It feels really weird camping without him even though I know I am grown up, married, and out on my own. I did like camping when we went though: the smell of the fire, the tent living, the campfire food. It was awesome.

Do you need some camping gear? You can get 30% off The North Face Lynx sleeping bag. It is not rated for very cold weather but it is great for fall camping (down to 4 Celsius). Originally $169.99, it is on sale for $118.99.

An even better discount is this The North Face Alteo 35 women’s backpack, which was $179.99 and is on sale for $90. This kind of backpack is for serious hikers (of which I am not) and it stores enough to invite a few nights overnight in your favourite woods.

A good pair of hiking boots is an absolute must if you are going camping, hiking, or are trying to climb a glacier. Trust me on that last one. These Merrell Chameleon 5 Mid Ventilator Waterproof men’s boots are on sale from $199.99 down to $100. That is a good price for quality hikers and the waterproof part is an added bonus. There is nothing worse than walking in wet socks.

Find all this and more at the Live Out There Canada semi-annual sale. Shipping is always free!
