39 Foot Ventura Outdoor Rope Light only $20 & Free Shipping @!

39 Foot Ventura Outdoor Rope Light only $20 & Free Shipping @!

Here is a sweet little deal, perfect for summertime unwinding. Check out the 39-Foot Ventura Outdoor Rope Light valued at $51.19. This rope light is on sale for $25, but you can use our exclusive coupon code Moose5 to bring the total price down to only $20. Free shipping is also included with this deal!

Twinkly lights are all the rage for your outdoor space. All the rage – that is what my best friend says when something is uber-cool. This deal is all the rage because you can transform your backyard space into a summer nighttime haven, perfect for relaxing. This deal includes 39 feet of light, in a white casing. The plug is a standard 120-volt plug, which will make it easy to hook up to outdoor extension cords. I would consider buying a cheap timer also so that my outside lights turn on automatically every day. There is something magical about twinkly lights popping on by themselves on a warm summer evening. I will take it as a sign to start pouring the Sangria and start the fire pit.

This light is perfect for draping over your patio umbrella, along your fence or lighting up your walkway. Speaking of lighting up your walkway, a light like this is also great to line the pathway in front of your yard to your driveway. You may want to pick up two sets at this price. This strand specifically says it is perfect for outdoor use, but nothing is stopping you from lining your glass front cabinets with this inexpensive rope light.

You could also consider it for Christmas, dare I say it?! Buying lights like this when they are on special offer makes sound financial sense, instead of buying your decor at higher prices in December.

I checked out the pricing elsewhere for rope lights. It can be tricky to price compare lights such as these as the sizes vary quite a bit. If you are looking for a light that can work outside you need to search carefully as some rope lights are only for inside use. has a rope light on clearance. For $25 you can pick up a shorter 30-foot rope light. The price is close, but the rope will not make it quite as far to light up your fence. Canadian Tire has a 30-foot rope light that they are selling for $29.99. has 36 feet of rope light that they sell for $41.99, and this light is only available in two 18-foot roles.

Many people have purchased this deal already on Wagjag, but yours will be even better with that coupon code. Even though there are still a few days left on this deal, I would pick it up now to make sure I did not miss out.

Home Depot Canada: Up to 64% Off Lanterns & Free Shipping

Home Depot Canada: Up to 64% Off Lanterns & Free Shipping

Home Depot is selling a selection of post top lights and wall mount lanterns for up to 64% off their original price.

I have always wanted to have my very own lantern. It probably stems from my childhood love of C.S. Lewis’ Chronicles of Narnia series wherein the lamppost plays an integral role in Lucy finding her way home. I find lampposts whimsical, romantic, and stalwart. You do not find many lampposts in people’s yards these days, but I would have one if I had my own land. I might even have two. I was delighted to see that Home Depot is still selling tops for them.

The Iron Patina with Curved Glass Post Top Lantern is a rustic looking top that fits right into my storybook land of Lantern Waste with a lone light guiding a little girl back to the wardrobe from whence she came. The top is also inexpensive for anyone wanting to get into the lamppost business: originally $72.94, the top is now on sale for $39.99. You can buy the same Curved Glass Post Top Lantern in Pine Green instead of black for $39.99 as well, originally $72.94.

This next lamppost top has a bit more charm and will have all the local squirrels chattering with jealousy. The Acorn Glass Post Top Light in Rust Patina has a whimsical fantasy all its own. Originally $187, the top is now on sale for $81.28.  I love the thick bubble glass used for the Acorn post top, as it looks more durable than the two tops above.

If you are lacking a post, you can always mount a lantern outside your house on the wall. This Clear and Tea Glass Wall Lantern – Small has a modern Asian inspired appearance. The simple black frame and clear glass panels will match with almost any home. Originally $145, the lamp is on sale for $52.08.

Lastly, this Bronzed Crowned Wall Light – Medium looks an awful lot like an acorn itself and certainly has that old world charm. I think the acorn lamppost top and this acorn wall light would look lovely together. Originally $207, this wall light is now on sale for $77.40.

All these products qualify for free shipping from Home Depot Canada, which is a nice bonus on top of their sale prices. I know that we rarely think of lighting during the summer, but these would make lovely lights for the coming fall.

Buytopia Canada: 4 LED Lightbulbs For $22

Buytopia Canada: 4 LED Lightbulbs For $22

Are you still lighting your house with Compact Fluorescent bulbs? What are you, a cave man? Get out of the stone age with a set of four LED bulbs from Buytopia!

Doesn’t it seem weird that a few years ago, everyone was losing their minds about incandescent bulbs being evil? We all had to move to compact fluorescent bulbs and then everyone realized that they stink. They hold their color for about a week, some take time to warm up, they have mercury in them and they cost more. You might say that costing more is fine because they last longer. They do last longer, unless they break early, which they seem to do a lot. Meanwhile, the Centennial Light has been burning for 110 years and has almost never been turned off. It’s planned obsolescence and it’s ridiculous.

Now we’re all moving to a new bulb whose use, I’m sure, will be mandated by the government at some point. However, this bulb is actually worth the money. Maybe not the $15+ per bulb we see now, but as they come down in price (or go on sale like they are right now at Buytopia) they will be a bit more worth it. Why are these worth it, but CFLs aren’t? Well, CFLs were never intrinsically better. The technology is based on those long fluorescent bulbs that they use in offices. They are full of dangerous chemicals, the ballasts break and are expensive, and they contain mercury. LEDs, on the other hand, use less power, last longer and don’t really break that often. The dash lights in your car, your phone or your TV remote are all probably LEDs. When was the last time you blew an LED in your TV remote?

The problem is the cost. Check out LED light bulbs at Lowe’s or Home Depot. These bulbs at Buytopia are only $22 for four. That’s $5.50 each. They retail for $79. You’re saving $57.

Shipping is $4.99.

Chapters Canada: 70% Off Retro Task Lamps – Now $30

Posted by on April 30, 2013 at 4:00 PM

Chapters Canada: 70% Off Retro Task Lamps Now $30

I have been looking for a new desk lamp for awhile that wouldn’t cost me a fortune and I found this. Right now Chapters Canada has 70% off this Retro Task Lamp in either black or white. Originally $99.50, the lamp is on sale for $30.

I bought this lamp for $45, sigh. But one never knows how quickly lamps are going to sell out at Chapters!

Both colours are still in stock online. The size is 12” L x 18” W x 22” H. There aren’t any reviews yet – but the lamp ranks 4/5 stars with several ratings. I own the lamp in white and it is a good solid lamp, and larger than I had expected. I expect it to last pretty much forever – I can’t see what could possibly ruin this lamp unless the electrical shorted in it or something. It is hefty! The only thing I don’t like about it is that the on/off switch is on the cord not the base or the head itself. It is so annoying to find the switch on the cord – I want my cords hidden!

I am tempted to buy a second lamp at this price so I can have a matching set!

This item is NOT eligible for free shipping because it is pretty heavy – but it is eligible for free shipping to your local store which is what I did. It just means you need to pick it up at your local Chapters when it comes in, that is all!

Chapters Canada: Retro Task Lamp Now $45 (Was $99.50)

Chapters Canada: Retro Task Lamp Now $45 (Was $99.50)

I’ve been looking for a new desk lamp for a while that wouldn’t cost me a fortune and that still looked stylish. Right now Chapters Canada has 50% off this Retro Task Lamp in either black or White. Originally $99.50 the lamp is on sale for $50.

If you use the $5 off $30 Chapters coupon code on the forum then you can get the lamp for only $45.

Both colours are still in stock online. The size is 12” L x 18” W x 22” H. There aren’t any reviews yet – so that is pretty much all the info I can tell you. I think it is a decent looking lamp and my only issue is it looks like (am not sure) that the on/off switch is on the cord not the base or the head itself. I really hate when they put the switch on the cord – so annoying. I like my cords hidden. But I seriously need a desk lamp. Even with a well lit keyboard it is not healthy to be sitting in a poorly lit room doing hours of computer work.

Free shipping on orders of $25 or more.

Chapters Canada: 65% Off Opal Glass Mini Lamp Was $60 | Now $21

Posted by on September 18, 2012 at 5:00 PM

Chapters Canada: 65% Off Opal Glass Mini Lamp Was $60 | Now $21

Chapters Canada is offering 65% off Opal Glass Mini Lamps. They were $60, and are on sale for $21.

I found this deal because I am on the lookout for both a desk lamp and a new bedside lamp. Our bedside lamp has some serious issues, I think that the screw may be stripped because the arm is at rather an angle to the base and I can’t seem to tighten it. I prefer small lamps rather than large lamps so I was thinking this lamp might be a good idea.

Chapters is a bit contradictory in it’s size though. In the description it is said to be 5.4″diam. x 15″h., but in the Details tab the dimensions given are 7″ L x 7″ W x 18″ H. Quite a different in size, but still within a good hight for my purposes.

Out of 24 ratings it has gained 4/5 stars.

If buying more than one be sure to use the Chapters coupon SEPT2012 to save $5 on purchases of $30 or more.  Chapters offers free shipping on all orders over $25.
