Ethical Deal Canada: $15 For 1KG of Laundry Soap Berries

Ethical Deal Canada: $15 For 1KG of Laundry Soap Berries

If you are looking for a more ethical and environmentally-friendly way of doing laundry, you might want to try soap berries. Ethical Deal has a great deal on right now where you’ll get two 500g bags of soap berries for only $15. This many berries does up to 400 loads, which is a $32 value. Personally, I think the value is much higher when you calculate what regular laundry soap costs per load.

Made in Canada, eco-friendly, all natural, biodegradable and hypoallergenic, these soap berries or nuts, as they are sometimes called seem like the perfect laundry solution. Detergents worry me. I’ve read so many horrible things about how detergents are what are causing all of the chemical sensitivities we are experiencing and how difficult it is to get rid of them in your home. They are literally in everything, even things that say they are soap, are actually filled with detergent. While it is such a daunting task trying to rid all of your products of nasty chemicals and clean your home safely, starting with your laundry if a very good place to get going.

You can use them in front and top loading washing machines and you can even wash in cold water (if you soak them in hot water first). If you like to have a scent in your laundry (I don’t), you can add a few drops of essential oils. What’s more is that these don’t just have to be used as just laundry soap, you can wash your hands with them, wash your fruit and vegetables and even your hair. I think these would be awesome for camping or the cottage or even while travelling as you just pop one in your bag for a multi-purpose wash!

There are a couple of reviews listed like this one:

We got some about 9 months ago and they are great. We do several loads a week and they last and last and get things just as clean as other soaps did. I highly recommend them.

There is a shipping charge added to this purchase and it will depend where you live. They are delivered by Canada Post, so I don’t assume shipping will be outrageous. Use the coupon PAMPEREDBABY to get another $5 off, which might just reduce or eliminate your shipping costs.

Canadian Freebie: Resolve Oxi-Action In-Wash Stain Remover (Mail In Rebate)

Canadian Freebie: Resolve Oxi Action In Wash Stain Remover (Mail In Rebate)

Resolve Canada is so convinced that you will fall in love with their stain remover, they want you to try it for free!

This is a great freebie that everyone can use. We all wear clothes, we all spill on clothes, and we all try desperately to get out those stubborn stains from our clothes!

Trying to get out stains can be annoying, and also very time consuming. You have to spray on the stain remover, let it sit, put it in the washing machine, and 9 times out of 10, you’ll need to do this more than once. And if you live in an apartment like me, and have to use a coin-operated washing machine for $2 per load, the cost adds up quickly.

Well, Resolve Canada has resolved this problem! Their Oxi-Action In-Wash Stain Remover makes getting rid of stains as easy as 1, 2, 3! Resolve promises to treat even the toughest of stains (think ketchup, mustard, red wine) and get them out the FIRST time. You can use this product to pre-treat stains, and also add it with your detergent as an in-wash agent. For more instructions and tips on how to use Resolve Stain Remover, click here.

To be eligible for this mail-in rebate, you’ll have to buy either the 756 g or 1 kg powder or the 650 mL liquid. Make sure the product you purchase is $7.99 or less, since that is the maximum amount for the rebate. Your purchase must be made between April 13th and May 13th, 2013 and you have until June 13th, 2013 to submit your form. There is also a limit of one rebate per individual, family, or household.

After you have mailed your rebate, please allow 6 to 8 weeks to receive your refund in the mail.

Team Buy Canada: $13 for a FLIP & Fold Jr. and Sr. Laundry Folder Combo Package ($45 Value) (exp May 13th)

Team Buy Canada has a great deal on for anyone that hates to fold laundry and wants to make it more fun.  Pay just $13 for a flip and fold Jr. & Sr. laundry folder combo pack (valued at $45).

The link for this deal is for St Johns but you can get it from any province you are in.  I actually have some personal experience with this awesome items because I was a teacher for children with Autism for over 7 years.  We used these in the classroom to help teach the kids life skills such as folding the laundry.  They are easy to use and a great teaching tool for kids learning how to fold.  Even for the person that folds laundry everyday, this items makes it easier and more fun and your clothes are folded just a good as you would see on display at a store.

Here are some details for this deal:

  • Unlimited per person. Unlimited as gifts. Tax and shipping ($7) not included.
  • Voucher expires March 10, 2013
  • Visit and add the item to your cart.
  • Includes a combo pack: 1 FLIP & Fold Jr. and 1 Sr. Laundry Folder.

I have always wanted to get these for myself to use at home ever since using them in the classroom but they always seemed a little expensive.  At just $13 for the set instead of the regular price of $45, I might just have to pick up a couple!
