Dell Canada: Inspiron 15R Laptop For Only $579 (Save $70)

Dell Canada: Inspiron 15R Laptop For Only $579 (Save $70)

It’s Victoria Day and that’s an excuse for Dell Canada to give you a great deal on an awesome Inspiron 15R laptop.

I just love how some of these retailers will take any excuse to put things on sale. What would Queen Victoria think if she knew that, a hundred years later, her birthday was being used to sell laptops? Well, she’s probably be terrified of laptops because… Well… She died in 1901. They didn’t have laptops back then.

But I know what I think of Victoria Day sales: Awesome. Any time that we save money is a good time. This particular laptop happens to be the same one I’m writing this on right now. It’s a great laptop. It comes stock with 8GB RAM, a Core i5 Processor, a 1TB HDD and your choice of Windows 7 or Windows 8. Personally I took Windows 8 and I’m liking it. People are really complaining too hard over Windows 8. Now, if you are one of the people who lose their everloving minds over Windows 8, you can certainly pick it up with the Windows 7 version. If you need more than the provided specs, you can always do a bit of upgrading. If you want something else altogether, you can pick from the other laptops available at the link above!

    Shipping is FREE.

Memory Express Canada: ONE DAY ONLY! Asus X54C Laptop Only $400 (Save $100)

Gone are the dark days of laptops being a luxury item. MemoryExpress has helped usher in the era of every household having a laptop and they are continuing with the Asus X54C.

Remember the dark days of laptop computing? The days when you only had a laptop if it was issued to you for school or work or if you were rich or had saved up tons of money? Yeah, me too. Weren’t those just terrible days? I remember paying over $2000 for a Toshiba laptop that is less powerful (by quite a bit) than my phone.

The Asus laptop being offered is perfect for the casual user and priced accordingly. It’s only $399.99 which is $100 off the regular price of $499.99. You aren’t gonna be playing the latest games or rendering 5k footage with this thing but if you wanna play Angry Birds, use Facebook or Skype with someone, it’ll be fine.  Here are the specs:

    • Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
    • Intel Core i3 Processor
    • 6GB DDR3 RAM
    • 15.6″ 16:9 HD LED Screen
    • 500 GB HDD
    • 2.6 kg (with 4 cell battery)
    Shipping is $4.99.

BestBuy Canada: Get $70 off Select Printers with Purchase of a Laptop, Desktop or Tablet

BestBuy Canada: Get $70 off Select Printers with Purchase of a Laptop, Desktop or Tablet

In the market for a new Laptop, Desktop or Tablet? Of course you are. So why don’t you pick up a printer for $70 off at Best Buy Canada?

As far as I can tell, you can pick any computer or tablet and get this deal. There are two printers available with this deal:

I think the HP is clearly the better printer here but Canon makes good stuff too. There was a similar PIXMA printer floating around recently that got some bad reviews but it looks like this one is getting better reviews. Keep in mind though that it is a bargain priced “all-in-one” so if you’re planning on printing pictures or high quality graphics, this isn’t the printer for you. The HP printer is probably your best bet for that kind of stuff as it is specifically a photo printer. Shipping is FREE!

I think the best deal here is actually the gaming rig. It’s normally $1329 but you can save $510. You get this great system for $819. It’s a bit steeper than most people would like to pay but listen to these specs!

    • 3rd generation Intel® Core™ i7-3630QM

Apple Store Canada: MacBook Pro (Refurb) Starting at $1019 (Save Up to $600)

Posted by on April 4, 2013 at 2:00 PM

Apple Store Canada: MacBook Pro (Refurb) Starting at $1019 (Save Up to $600)

Apple Canada almost never has sales so for the cheap among us (yes, I’m referring to you) have to shell out a ton of cash in order to get their products. But no more! Bargainmoose loves you so much (feels like I don’t say that enough anymore) that we are bringing you this sweet deal on refurbished MacBook Pros.

There are nine computers on sale here but I think the 13″ MacBook Pro with Retina Display is the best deal here.

A couple of things to note here. First, the $240 savings is based off of the regular price of a refurb. You’re actually saving $340 off of the cost of a new one. These also ship for free.

Like I said there are nine computers on sale anywhere from a 13″ MacBook Pro (refurb) for $1019 (save $180) up to the 17″ MacBook Pro (refurb) for $1899 (save $600) so there is something for everyone. The Retina display really is the way to go though. They have a 15″ MacBook Pro w/ Retina for $1799 (Save $320) and another 13″ MacBook Pro w/ Retina and a smaller 128GB SSD for $1269 (Save $240).

I don’t know how long this deal is on for but I know at these prices, their supply can’t last that long so hop to it!

TigerDirect Canada: 14″ Samsung Series 5 Laptop w/ AMD Quad- Core, 1 TB HDD Only $600 (Save $240)

Posted by on April 1, 2013 at 3:00 PM

TigerDirect Canada: 14 Samsung Series 5 Laptop w/ AMD Quad Core, 1 TB HDD Only $600 (Save $240)

It’s April Fool’s Day but this deal is no joke. Make sure you head on over to Tiger Direct Canada for this sweet laptop deal!

This laptop is normally $841.99, but you’re saving $242, meaning you only pay $599.99. That’s a very good deal for a great machine. The sale goes on until tomorrow but if you get it today, you will get FREE shipping.

Here are some of the pertinent specs:

    • 14″ Display
    • AMD Quad-Core A8-4555M 1.6GHz
    • 8GB DDR3,
    • 1TB HDD
    • AMD Radeon HD 7600G + 7550M Dual Graphics
    • Windows 8

Samsung has really been stepping up their game as of late. Or at least it seems that way. I don’t know if they’ve always made good stuff and they are just finally ramping up the marketing campaigns but they are on my radar now. This product is definitely a fantastic machine. It has enough juice to do some higher end functions but is priced low enough that it can be a future-proof computer if you only want to hop on the Internet to do some Facebooking and look at cat videos on Youtube.

Equate Lenovo selling computers to human trafficking? Who? Me? No! Of course Lenovo Canada isn’t selling people on the grey market, but they certainly are giving you some great deals on some great computers. Wow. That intro was a stretch, even for me. That got weird. Any who, I took a look at these computers and picked out a few of the better deals.

There aren’t really any bad deals here, and these three are the ones that caught my eye. I think the first one, the Z400 touch, looks really cool. I have a Windows 8 computer, which I actually enjoy using, but a touch screen would make it all the better. The best bang for your buck is the Y500 because it is super powerful. If you want something a little easier on the budget, the Z580 is a great choice!

The before price on these machines runs from $1589 on the high end to $679 on the low. After the sale prices, the laptops in this sale top out at $1129 and run all the way down to $499. Now, $1129 might not seem like a great deal, but you are saving $420 on it, which is pretty awesome.

I think the best deal here is actually on high performance/gaming machine, specifically this one:

There are six computers on sale here, ranging from the everyday IdeaPad G580 to the IdeaPad Y400 for your gaming and high performance needs. They even have a computer featuring a touch screen for super cheap! This is one of the reasons I like Lenovo sales; They generally have something for everyone. It isn’t just a sale on gaming laptops or on touch screen laptops. If you don’t want a touchscreen, you’re out of luck. If you don’t care about gaming capabilities, why waste the money? This sale lets you pick exactly what you want and even do some customization on the one you pick.

What do you need your new Lenovo laptop to do? Which one of these models do you want? Are you gonna get your game on, or is the touch screen what you want? Let me know in the comments below!

Sony Canada: Save $200 on Select Laptops w/ Coupon Code

Sony is giving a huge $200 discount on select laptops. If you’re looking for Sony quality at a much lower price, this is how you’re gonna do it!

Click here to get a sleek new laptop or ultrabook @ Sony.ca

    • Coupon Code: MARCHSAVE200
    • Discount: $200 Off Select Laptops and Ultrabooks
    • Expiry: 17th March 2013

Sony has always been one of the premium brands in the general consumer electronics market. If you wanted the best, you went with Sony. I don’t think they are that brand anymore in most respects, except for laptops. They make some of the best laptops out there. The problem is that they usually price themselves out of the market. They have the Apple problem. They make great stuff and they are worth the price but people will sacrifice some of the perks for a Sony (or Apple) for a cheaper price.

That’s where a great coupon code like this comes into play. You get to pick up a super sweet computer, let’s say a VAIO Ultrabook, and pay the same price you would for a machine from another company. It’s only on select laptops but the ones that you can use this on are clearly marked below their descriptions. Sony also offers some customization options so you can pick what you want in your new computer

Shipping is free. For all other Sony Canada coupon codes, they will all be posted in our coupon forum.

Future Shop Canada: $70 Off HP Pavilion G6 15.6″ Laptop – Now $399.99

Posted by on March 10, 2013 at 4:00 PM

Future Shop Canada: $70 Off HP Pavilion G6 15.6 Laptop Now $399.99

FutureShop Canada is offering $70 off the HP Pavilion G6 15.6″ Laptop (AMD A4-4300M / 750GB HDD / 6GB RAM / Windows 8). Originally $469.99, it is on sale for $399.99.

As shown above, the laptop has a 750 GB hard drive, and 6GB of memory. It comes with Windows 8 and it has an AMD A4 processor. The battery charge can last for about five hours, and it has a memory card reader which is one of my favourite features.

I price compared with Bestbuy.ca which has the computer listed for $469.99. Bestbuy.ca does have a lot more reviews of the computer, and so far it ranks 3.9/5 with about 25 ratings. Most all the reviews agree that this is a great laptop for the price point and it runs fast and smoothly. If you like to play games and are worried about Windows 8, the reviewer on FutureShop reminds buyers “don’t listen to those people who say “windows 8 doesn’t run older games” ever heard of “compatibility mode”??? Which has always been on windows computers. “

Free shipping on orders of $25.

Costco Canada: Super Portable Asus Zenbook Prime 1090p Ultrabook, Only $800

Costco Canada is making it more affordable than ever to own super high end, super portable ultrabooks!

The Ultrabook is $799.99, a great price! I did a little looking around and I found this to be the best deal by a fair margin. For example, NCIX has this same ultrabook for about $300 more and NewEgg has it for about $250 more.

Here are some details on the specs for this ultrabook:

    • Intel® Core™ i5-3317U, 1.7 GHz
    • 4 GB DDR3 SDRAM
    • 128 GB SSD
    • 13.3-in IPS FHD display (1920 x 1080)
    • Integrated wireless LAN 802.11 b/g/n with WIDI
    • Integrated HD Webcam
    • Bluetooth 4.0
    • Illuminated Chiclet Keyboard
    • 2x USB 3.0
    • 1x HDMI (micro HDMI)
    • Microsoft® Windows®
    • Dimensions (W x D x H): 32.5 cm x 22.3 x cm 1.8 cm; (12.8 in. x 8.8 in. x .7 in.)
    • Weight (approximate): 1.3 kg (2.9 lb.)

Anywho, the great price, awesome specs and FREE shipping in Canada makes this one of the best deals out there.

    Costco.ca: Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11 Hybrid Tablet/Ultrabook for only $500! (Save $250)

Posted by on February 7, 2013 at 2:19 PM

    Costco.ca: Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11 Hybrid Tablet/Ultrabook for only $500! (Save $250)

Can’t decide between an ultrabook and a tablet? Costco Canada and Lenovo Canada have you covered with this sweet deal!

The price on Lenovo’s website is $750 so you’re saving about $250 on this one. It’s a very good deal that is only made better by FREE shipping from Costco Canada.

Here are some of the relevant specs on the Yoga 11:

    • 1.4 GHz Quad Code nVidia Tegra 3 processor
    • 2 GB DDR3L RAM
    • 64GB SSD
    • 11.6″ LED Screen
    • Integrated 720p HD Webcam
    • 2 USB 2.0 ports
    • HDMI
    • 2-in 1 card Reader (SD/MMC)

This is one of the best deals I’ve seen out there for a product like this. You get a full touch screen Windows RT (Windows 8 for tablets, basically) tablet with a full keyboard. The reason they call this line of devices “Yoga” is because it has a hinge that allows it to flip into different configurations. You can use it like a laptop or you can bend the keyboard to lay flat behind the screen to it can be used as a traditional tablet. There are two “in between” positions, one called “tent mode” and the other called “stand mode.” You can likely figure out what those look like but if you can’t just do a Google Image Search for Yoga 11.

Dell Canada: Save Up to $300 on Select PCs + Free Shipping

Dell Canada: Save Up to $300 on Select PCs + Free Shipping

Dell Canada is offering up to $300 off a whole range of laptops from Inspiron to XPS and 15″ to 17″. Something for everyone and every budget!

Like I said, there are a lot of different laptops here but I want to talk about the Inspiron 15R Special Edition in specific. I actually have this laptop and it is fantastic. I’ve kept Windows 8 on this machine, not because Windows 8 is superfantastic, but rather because of the hardware’s hooks into the OS. Specifically the touchpad. Windows 8 is very clearly a tablet OS and it does not translate well to the traditional “mouse and keyboard” computing setup. So the fine folks at Dell have turned the touchpad into a sort of mini tablet interface. You can pinch to zoom, swiping from the right edge brings up the menu, swiping from the top maximizes or fullscreens. There at a ton of cool customizable gestures. Combine this with the great feature set in the 15R SE and a fantastic price ($899.99 after $100 savings) and you get a great machine. Now I’m not saying, of course, that this is the only computer out there to integrate touchpad gestures with Windows 8 but it’s just another feature to solidify the machine as a great pick.

I understand that this laptop isn’t for everyone though. If you’re looking for more power, I suggest checking out the XPS. I’ve owned an XPS and they are really amazing. I no longer need the power they offer but if you do, this is a great deal. The XPS 15 is only $1499.99 after a $200 savings. The technical support for XPS customers is better too.

Shipping is free on all orders.

There are some great laptops here. Most are 14″, but there is a 12.5″ if you like that form factor. Their Carbon Touch looks pretty awesome. I’m using Windows 8 on my laptop and I’m digging it, (if you know me then you know that is a big deal for me to say since I hate Windows) but I can see where it’d be a lot better with a touch screen. I don’t know that it’d be worth it to pay the extra for the touch screen right now but it’s future-proofing.

I really do love ultrabooks and I wish I had one, but it just doesn’t fit into my world right now. I have a tablet for a light, portable piece of technology and my phone for the on-the-road stuff. I have a laptop now and it is a powerhouse. I need the power for some projects I’m working on and an ultrabook just won’t cut it unless I want to spend a foolish amount of money on it. I, of course, am from Bargainmoose, so I am not going to spend foolish amounts of money on ANYTHING if I can help it.

But don’t let my technology-drenched life and need for power stop you from getting one. In fact, if you get one of these ultrabooks, let me know how it is in the comments below. For more Lenovo ECoupon Codes, visit the Bargainmoose forums!
