Dell Canada: Wireless Mouse Only $15 (50% Off)

Posted by on August 19, 2013 at 9:30 PM

Dell Canada: Wireless Mouse Only $15 (50% Off)

Preparing for school? Don’t give yourself a hand cramp from using the finger pad on your laptop. Pick up this Dell Wireless Mouse with Nano Receiver in black for only $14.99, a cent under $15. It is 50% off its regular price of $29.99.

The mouse is $14.99 and once you add tax, that is all you will pay because shipping is free. This is only for the black one; if you want to play matchy-matchy with your Apple and go white, you will pay a whole $5 more. So, I suggest you go with black.

This is a three button design and has an automatic power on/off, so that you won’t accidentally leave your mouse on and drain all the juice out of the batteries. Been there, done that, not fun. It has a USB mini receiver which is very small (and can get lost) but works really well and has such a low profile.

This is a great little mouse and certainly a good buy at only $15.

Dell Canada: Laptop Security Cable Locks Under $20

Posted by on August 6, 2013 at 8:00 PM

Dell Canada: Laptop Security Cable Locks Under $20

Dell Canada is having a seventy-two hour sale right now, and two of their great deals are on security cable locks. Save $20 to $30 on security cable locks for your laptop and possible save your laptop as well!

The following two locks are on sale:

This lock is a keyed lock with pivot, and your computer must have a security slot built in to support its use. It comes with a three year warranty.

This is a four-wheel combination lock with a T-bar locking mechanism. It also requires your computer to have a security slot built in to support use of this lock and it also comes with a three year warranty.

These security cables should be compatible with most Dell computers. I think a lot of people underestimate the security of their valuables, thinking that it will never happen to them. My brother-in-law (who would kill me if he read this) was at his local library with his laptop. He has the habit of pacing and one time when his computer was out of his sight it disappeared. Never to be seen again. I know university students are notorious for this. I don’t know how many times I have had the opportunity (but not the motive… I’m a good girl!) to take someone’s laptop. You could make a fortune off of university student’s unprotected laptops.

Be smart. Be safe. Use a safety cable.

Enjoy free shipping on all Dell purchases.

Amazon.ca: Up to 50% Off Microsoft Computer Accessories

Posted by on March 5, 2013 at 5:00 PM

Amazon.ca: Up to 50% Off Microsoft Computer Accessories

Amazon Canada and Microsoft are teaming up to bring you 50% off some great Microsoft Hardware Accessories.

Listen people, I don’t like Microsoft. I really don’t. I’m a Linux guy at heart and use Windows and other Microsoft software, grudgingly. Microsoft hardware, and specifically their computer accessories, is a different story. They make some really good products. They aren’t always the fanciest but they are almost always solid products. This sale has five items but only four of them, for some unknown reason, show as having any discount. I’ll only include the four that are discounted which include mice, keyboards and combos. it has some wireless stuff too.

I’ve used their ergonomic keyboards before and, while I personally don’t dig ergonomic keyboards in general, I can say that their build quality is great. A lot of ergonomic keyboards out there are crappily built so as to keep the price down. You definitely don’t want to waste money with an inferior product and I suspect this one will not be inferior.

The Source Canada: $30 Off Gnarlyfish 15.6″ Laptop Briefcase Now $19.99

Posted by on October 27, 2012 at 10:00 AM

The Source Canada: $30 Off Gnarlyfish 15.6 Laptop Briefcase Now $19.99

The Source Canada has a nice little deal on a Gnarlyfish 15.6″ Laptop Briefcase. Originally $49.99 the briefcase is on sale for $19.99.

There are several comments singing the praises of this bag:

This product is superb. I had a similar bag in university that got stolen for 300 dollars, this bag at 1/10th the cost is amazing. It has lots of pockets. Sleek, stylish and useful. I’m not sure if it includes this in the description, but this bag has a back pocket/slot to attach to large suitcases for traveling which makes traveling a breeze. I have a “large” 15.6 inch laptop, and this bag is perfect.

At this sale price of $19.99 + tax this is a value deal. The material is nylon and it has several pockets and sleeves to hold from pens to notepads.

I like the idea of the back slot for attaching to suitcases, very handy! Gnarlyfish is a well known brand that generally makes quality products.

The company I work for has a bunch of tiers on the quality of properties we run. There is one tier that is way above every other tier and they all use Dell servers and PCs. So for the huge company I work for to choose Dell to run their biggest and best, it’s gotta be good!

HP.com: Labour Day Sale on PCs, Laptops and Accessories (Save up to 76%)

Posted by on September 4, 2012 at 5:00 AM

HP.com: Labour Day Sale on PCs, Laptops and Accessories (Save up to 76%)

Even the equipment manufacturers are celebrating Labour day with some sales. HP Canada is giving some deep discounts on a handful of products.

There are six products on sale. Here they are:

On top of these ridiculously good deals they all have free shipping. If you aren’t interested in these specific deals they also have free shipping for the entire site.

HP is doing some cool stuff with these TouchSmart PCs. The biggest selling point is that they are touch sensitive like your tablet or smartphone. Now obviously it would get tiring to hold your arm out past they keyboard and the mouse to touch the screen but there are some use cases that make the touch screen convenient. Of course there is gaming and even scrolling long web pages or documents. I know someone who has one of these and they said it came with some video editing software that makes good use of the touch screen.

Of course Windows 8 is coming out soon and it’s new default interface is very touch screen friendsly so this is kind of futureproofing to an extent.

Another cool feature is that these are all-in-one PCs, meaning that you don’t have a screen attached to a tower, you just have a screen. Everything that would normally be in the tower, the hard drive, the motherboard, the DVD Drive, is built into the back of the screen.

Anywho, take a look and choose your new computer!

MemoryExpress.com: Back to School Laptop Deals + Free Laptop Bag

MemoryExpress.com: Back to School Laptop Deals + Free Laptop Bag
Bring your laptop to school in style and don’t break the bank to do it! Which magical wizard is doing this for you? Why, its Memory Express and the wise old Bargainmoose!

There are 30 laptops on sale here so make sure you check them all out and get what it best for you. Here are a few of the deals available:

Shipping on orders under 100lbs is $4.99.

There is just about every possible configuration of laptop (except maybe the really high and really low end) available on this sale. AMD? It’s here. 13″? It’s here. Samsung? It’s here. Deals? Yeah, they’re here, too. It can get really expensive to buy new computers especially if you have more than one kid who needs/wants one for back to school.. You can get into the “well she got a new laptop, why don’t I get one?!” arguments real quick. Or you could be like me and my wife who seems to always need to upgrade at the same time. Sales like this can cut down a $2000 computer bill to under $1000.

And if you add on the cost of a good laptop bag, let’s say on average $65 per bag, you’re looking at even more money. That brings us to the other part of this deal. The free bags they are offering include backpacks, messenger bags and some really cool looking Transformer branded sleeves. Here are some of my favourites of the nine available:

These are all fantastic cases. I am partial to the Asus Vector Backpack but I’ve always preferred backpack style cases. That being said, those Razer Transformers Sleeves are really, really cool. I like the Megatron one, personally.

Whichever laptop/case combo you pick, you’re sure to get a fantastic deal, so pick one up before they sell out!

TigerDirect: Roots Classic Computer Backpack $14.99 + Shipping

Posted by on May 24, 2012 at 6:00 PM

TigerDirect: Roots Classic Computer Backpack $14.99 + Shipping

TigerDirect Canada has a great little Roots Classic Computer Backpack on sale for $14.99 + shipping

The backpack fits up to a 15.6″ laptops it it’s internal padded sleeve. It also features:

  • Special MP3 player pouch with external headphone port
  • Ergonomically designed shoulder straps and molded padded back

Shipping prices range depending on what provide you are in. I think this is a good deal because your average good quality backpack is going to cost you upwards of $40 at least. Even Targus backpacks start at $30 or so, and Roots tends to be better than Targus in my opinion. So a Roots Backpack for $14.99 + shipping is a pretty darn good deal!
