Amazon Canada: KitchenAid Rotor Slicer/Shredder Attachment Now $39.95

Amazon Canada: KitchenAid Rotor Slicer/Shredder Attachment Now $39.95

Amazon Canada has not had this deal for well over a year, thus I am excited to be blogging about it again. Pick up the KitchenAid RVSA Rotor Slicer/Shredder Attachment for Stand Mixers for only $39.95, originally $99.99.

Edit: As per our lovely Moosers’ comments; there is a $20 rebate from KitchenAid on this attachment from August 15 – September 26. In the end you would be paying around $20 after rebate!

I conducted a little price comparing. has the Rotor slicer/shredder attachment on sale for $89.99, Hudson’s Bay Canada has the rotor for $99.99, London Drugs has the rotor on sale for $84.99, and only Future Shop Canada matches Amazon’s price at $39.95. Therefore, if Amazon’s price changes suddenly, you can buy it at Future Shop instead. Given that anywhere else you are paying at least double the price for the attachment (except for Future Shop), I figured this is an awesome deal.

The rotor slicer/shredder attachment comes with four blades and the housing, which fits on your stand mixer. It also has a metal core with which you attach the blades. My husband still has not figured out how to mount the shredder properly, but it really isn’t rocket science. I use the fine shredder blade the most on cheese for pizza. I do highly recommend using firm cheeses. Moisture content matters when it comes to the quality of your shredding.

I have tried slicing cucumbers and a few other vegetables. For me, the shredder is far better than fishing out the food processor when you only need a small amount of shredding or slicing done. I originally found the blades hard to detach, but the trick is to wrap a dishtowel around your hand, stick your hand in (make a fist in the dishtowel), and then rotate backwards. Of course, you want to make sure the stand mixer is unplugged. It works every time.

My main pet peeve, like other reviewers, is the stuff that is trapped between the housing and the blade. However, like one reviewer pointed out:

Some food did get stuck between the hopper and the blade, but, to be fair, I have also had this problem with other food processors.

That is fair. I have watched my husband use the food processor and he hardly fairs any better.

While I would not pay full price for this attachment, I certainly think it is worth the $39.50 that Amazon and Future Shop are asking, especially after the $20 rebate. It is used often in my household.

Don’t have a stand mixer? Amazon Canada has this KitchenAid KSM75SL Classic Stand Mixer on sale for $199.99, down from $399.99!

Receive free shipping on orders of $25 or more at Amazon Canada now.

Amazon Canada: KitchenAid Artisan Mixer Only $239

Posted by on August 15, 2014 at 9:30 AM

Amazon Canada: KitchenAid Artisan Mixer Only $239

Amazon has dropped the price on their KitchenAid Artisan five quart stand mixer. Some colours are only $289.99 and the other colours have varying prices, but are also discounted. On top of this, KitchenAid has a mail-in rebate promotion going on for a number of their appliances, but on this particular model you’ll get $50 back, making the price only $239, which is quite sweet!

I’ve been really wanting one of these stand mixers for my loves-to-bake husband. On a whim, he’ll whip up a batch of cookies, muffins, cupcakes, a cake, or whatever and while I love him for it, my thighs don’t like him as much. Either way, I’d love to reward his love of baking and get him something he’ll really appreciate. This might be perfect gift to save for him for Christmas as well. While everything I bake turns to dough, I wonder if this appliance would help me be better at baking. I even made a boxed cake mix where you only add water and it didn’t turn out. How does this happen? I think I may have over-whipped it and a stand mixer would take this step right out of my hands.

While both the black and the white are ultra-slick and at the $289 price point, I really love that you can accent your kitchen with a kitchen appliance like this. I have the Artisan food processor in red, and it looks amazing on my counter, so it would be nice to match them up. The red is also $289 and so is the very hot metallic chrome. Decisions, decisions!

Depending on the colour you want, this item may sell out fast, so don’t hum and haw over this and come back tonight hoping to get the colour you want. For example, the watermelon, while the most expensive at $403.56 only has six left in stock.

Amazon will ship this item to you for free as well. I’m not sure when this deal will end, but the mail in rebate deal ends in September, so you have quite a bit of time to get your forms in.

KitchenAid Classic Plus Stand Mixer Only $199.95 @ The Bay Today Only (Half Price!)

Posted by on August 6, 2014 at 5:56 AM

KitchenAid Classic Plus Stand Mixer Only $199.95 @ The Bay Today Only (Half Price!)

Flash sale! For one day only, you can buy a Kitchenaid Classic Plus Stand Mixer for only $199.95 with free shipping at The Bay Canada – only at the online store! Regularly priced at $399.95, that’s a $200 discount. Here are all the details:

When I have seen flash sales like this in the past from The Bay, sometimes they run out of stock through the day. So if you are interested, I’d purchase sooner rather than later.

These Kitchenaid stand mixers are something we write about here on Bargainmoose quite often, they’re a very popular sale item. As such, the prices tend to go up and down a lot. However, between $180 & $200 is the lowest I’ve usually seen them drop to. I’ve only ever seen this model drop this low in price in flash sales.

In price comparing this particular model, I can see it selling for $400 @ Amazon, $480 @ LondonDrugs, $400 @ CanadianTire, $400 @ Sears – therefore it’s an excellent price from The Bay.

As you’re getting free shipping anyway, have a browse round The Bay’s site and see if there’s anything else you want to pop in to your cart. There is up to 70% in the final summer clearance, you can check out the men’s or women’s sections here.

I would love one of these beautiful stand mixers in my kitchen, but I really don’t have the available countertop space. I’d want to display it there, I wouldn’t put it away in a cupboard. I’d also probably make use of it a few times a month… we do baking almost every weekend in this house. It’s a great form of entertainment for my four year old daughter, and I try and get her to do almost everything herself (apart from putting things in the hot oven). She loves stirring and mixing, getting covered in flour and icing sugar, and inevitably licking the bowl encrusted with some sort of sweet chocolaty goo!

The Bay Canada: $100 Off KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer + Bonus Ice Cream Bowl ($130 Value)

Posted by on July 14, 2014 at 4:30 PM

The Bay Canada: $100 Off KitchenAid Artisan Stand Mixer + Bonus Ice Cream Bowl ($130 Value)

Have you been wanting to buy the KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer? For the next couple of days, The Bay is offering a free ice cream bowl with the purchase of any KitchenAid Artisan stand mixer, which is also on sale for just $349.99 (reg. $449.99).

On its own, the KitchenAid ice cream stand mixer usually retails for $129.99 and it’s definitely a pretty nifty tool to have alongside the stand mixer. Although you can buy any regular ice cream maker for as low as $29 at Walmart, the KitchenAid far outweighs all of them because it takes less space, is bigger and the motor is known to last longer. This promotion also perfectly coincides with the current hot weather as you could use the bonus ice cream bowl to make frozen treats for the whole family to enjoy and cool off with as it sure beats overspending on Dairy Queen every day!

Amazon has the Artisan mixer on sale for $349.99 but the fact that The Bay is throwing in a free ice cream bowl is what pushes this deal over the edge. Arguably, Costco is selling the KitchenAid Professional 6000 lift stand mixer for $359.99 and while it’s only $10 more for a mixer that can hold more (5.7 L as opposed to 2.1 L with the Artisan), I actually have the professional one and I wish I would have gotten the artisan instead. The reason for this is that while I fancy myself a baker, I don’t bake nearly as often or as much as I would like. So if like me, you don’t see yourself making dozens upon dozens of cookies simultaneously or say, multiple triple-layered chocolate cakes, then I would definitely recommend the Artisan one.

Other points to consider when debating between the Artisan and the Professional is that the latter is much taller and may not fit on your counter, especially if your cupboards are lower. I also wonder about the effectiveness of making regular batches in such a large container as the Professional and I would think that a regular mixer would perfect mix much better.

You can also save up to 40% off a variety of KitchenAid small appliances as well right now. Among these, I found the KitchenAid Architect blender in candy apple red on sale for just $129.99 instead of $199.99. It can hold up to 48oz and has 5 different blend speeds: stir, mix, chop, puree, liquefy or chop ice.

Since The Bay typically offers free shipping on orders over $99, your order will also be shipped free of charge.

Canadian Tire: KitchenAid Deals Up To 75% Off (In Store)

Canadian Tire: KitchenAid Deals Up To 75% Off (In Store)

Canadian Tire has some Kitchen Aid deals to rock your little socks off. However, all these deals are in store only, so you will need to jump on your peddle bike and high-tail it to your local store to shop.

I want to send my husband to go get this KitchenAid Cast-Iron Skillet, 10 inch, because I love cooking with cast iron and our frying pans are in desperate need of replacement. The skillet is also on sale from $59.99 down to only $19.99. Click through each link provided to see the availability at your local store. Our local store has zero in stock, so I might be out of luck on this one.

Thankfully, the larger size KitchenAid 12-in Cast Iron Frying Pan is on sale as well and in stock at my local store. Originally $89.99, it is now on sale for $29.99. While I prefer smaller frying pans for eggs and such basics, I think I could get along with a 12″ just fine for that price. I just love that you can use cast iron in the oven, on the stovetop, on a grill and even on the campfire.

If you are looking for a new set of pots and pans, I highly recommend checking out the deal on this KitchenAid 10-piece Red Cookset. It is 70% off the original price of $439.99. Now only $129.99, it is an absolute steal for three pots, a Dutch oven, a sauté pan, and matching lids.

No kitchen is complete without utensils. If you buy utensils individually, then they can cost you a lot of money. Thus, this 17 piece KitchenAid Tool and Gadget Set is a fantastic buy as the tools are already bundled and they are on sale. Originally $59.99, the bundle is now on for just $29.99.

The absolute crème-de-la-crème of the entire sale is this stunning 14-piece KitchenAid White Triple Rivet Knife Set for 75% off. Originally $199.99, the set is on sale for just $49.99. The set includes an 8″ Chef knife, 8″ slicing knife, sharpening steel, 5.5″ serrated utility knife, 5″ santoku knife, 3.5″ paring knife, kitchen shears, six 4.5″ steak knives, and a block. It’s everything you need for a kitchen and it is beautiful as well.

I really cannot wait for the day that Canadian Tire is ready to sell their wonderful deals online. Though these are all in store deals, they are all just so good I had to blog about them because they are worth heading out for.

May 27 KitchenAid Blenders only $89

Posted by on May 27, 2014 at 6:02 PM KitchenAid Blenders only $89

Blender season is here, so get ready to make those margaritas, daiquiris, smoothies and slushees with a new blender. KitchenAid is well-known for their high-quality small appliances like their blenders and this is a great deal. is offering the blenders for only $99. Add on this coupon for $10 off and you’ll pay only $89.

Perhaps I’m biased towards KitchenAid products due to the amount of chefs I have seen use them on the Food Network’s shows like Top Chef, Chopped, Iron Chef America and many others, but then again, I am also madly in love with my very own KitchenAid stand mixer (currently 45% off at Although it isn’t the blender in question, it’s still an amazing product and if I didn’t already have an Oster blender, then I would totally get this one.

I price compared 5-speed KitchenAid blenders and didn’t see any under $120, so you are saving a minimum of $30, depending on where you would have shopped otherwise (i.e., Amazon, which has it priced at $180 right now). You’ll also get free shipping too!

It’s available in either blue, yellow, tangerine, green, silver or black, can hold up to 1.75L and has a 0.9-horsepower motor that can do anything from pureeing to even effectively crushing ice. Even better is that it can easily be thrown in the dishwasher once you’re done for a no-hassle blending experience — though perhaps avoid actually throwing it! always ships for free, so this item will get to you without fees.

Do you have any KitchenAid appliances? Let us know in the comments section which one(s) and your feedback on them!

Amazon Canada: KitchenAid 13-Cup Food Processor Only $150

Amazon Canada: KitchenAid 13 Cup Food Processor Only $150

Amazon Canada has a fantastic deal on the KitchenAid 13-cup food processor in empire red. It is now only $149.99, was $199.99. I have the exact same one, which I got during a flash deal on Amazon for $179, so this is a fantastic steal.

With deals like this, I don’t usually advise waiting to get it. Amazon is notorious for their hot deals selling out quickly and I have a feeling this could be one of those.

My food processor works amazingly well so I can’t say enough good things about it. It is a heavy-duty machine (seriously, it is heavy), and comes with so many attachments, I still haven’t learned what they all do. I mainly use the chopping and shredding tools, but have also used the some of the others. Chopping and shredding is such a pain, you might as well let your food processor do it. This machine is so great, you really could use it every single day.

I love the colour as well, as it is a bit of a showpiece on the counter, so much so that you don’t want to put it away when not in use. And when it is on the counter, you’ll use it.

The size is perfect for making large batches, but you can use it for smaller batches too. The 7-cup is only $30 cheaper and pretty much half the size.

Amazon will ship this item to you for free.

Amazon Canada: KitchenAid Ultra Power Stand Mixer Only $229!

Amazon Canada: KitchenAid Ultra Power Stand Mixer Only $229!

I found a super fantastic deal at Amazon right now. Get the KitchenAid Ultra Power stand mixer for only $229, was $399. This deal is the real deal as I researched and found the exact same model for $367 at NewEgg, on sale for $299 at BestBuy, and $299 at Home DepotPlus, you’ll get it shipped to you for free.

I think this item makes a great Valentine’s gift for the baker or chef in your family. I don’t often bake, but my husband does, and I know he’d find this a fun toy to start baking me lots of fattening but scrumptious desserts. It is even in red, the love colour to make it more Valentines-ish.

Beyond the gorgeous look of it, it has all the functions you’d want in a stand mixer like a tilt head, metal gears, direct drive transmission and planetary mixing action. It has ten speeds from fast whip to a slow stir. I’m getting excited just thinking about it.

With 59 reviews, it gets a 4.6 star rating out of 5, which is very good and the reviewers go as far as to say it is amazing and excellent.

Amazon Canada: Up To 50% Off KitchenAid

Get up to 50% off a number of KitchenAid appliances at Amazon.

Maybe you had a KitchenAid blender or stand mixer on your Christmas wish list and didn’t get one. Maybe you have Amazon gift cards instead. Either way, you’ll get a better deal now, with up to 40% off. There are a number of small appliances on sale, but I’ll give you some of the best deals I found.

This 5-speed stand blender is on sale for $119.99 and was $199.99. To compare prices, I only found it on sale in the States for an across the board price of $149.99, so this is definitely a good Canadian deal for us. It is available in a number of colours too.

This variable temperature kettle looks nice and functions well. On sale for $89.99, was $129.99, I also found it at Sears for $129.99.

You can get this hand blender in a number of colours like the boysenberry shown, and you can also get it for 50% off, now only $34.99, was $69.99.

Amazon Canada: KitchenAid Food Processor Only $130

Amazon Canada: KitchenAid Food Processor Only $130

Amazon is continuing its Boxing Day sales this week, with the KitchenAid 13-cup food processor in Empire Red being only $129.99, was $199.99.

Last year I bought myself this item as a gift. I paid about $170 for it, and at that time, it was a good deal, so this is a really great deal. I have used it so much for so many different purposes. This thing slices like a pro, mixes dough like I could never do, and of course chops and grinds and all of that. I love the way it looks on my kitchen counter, with its glossy red finish it just stands out from the other boring appliances. My model is slightly different, but it actually looks like this one has more features! You can change the thickness of your slices with an easy move of the switch.

As I am writing this, 7% of these food processors have been sold. Since this is a lightning price, you don’t know how fast they will sell, so if you want it, get it right away. I don’t know how many times Bargainmoosers have told me they were upset they didn’t act fast enough on a deal.

Amazon ships free on orders over $25, so this order will ship for free.
