ITunes Store: Final Fantasy VI For IOS (iPhone, iPad Devices) | Was $16 Now $11

ITunes Store: Final Fantasy VI For IOS (iPhone, iPad Devices) | Was $16 Now $11

Hey there, fellow gamers! There’s a pretty sweet deal available on the iTunes Store for a limited time that will allow you to save 30% on a game that hasn’t been reduced in price before – it’s Final Fantasy VI for the iOS, which normally retails for $15.99. Now, you can purchase this wonderful game for only $10.99! Since you’ll be able to play this game on your Apple iPad, iPhone, or iPod Touch, you don’t have to worry about any shipping – just pay for the game, and you’ll be able to download it to your device soon afterwards!

Click here to check out this deal @ Itunes.apple.com now

Do you remember the classic Super Nintendo game Final Fantasy III? Well the real name of the game in Japan was Final Fantasy VI (6… Square loves using Roman numerals), mainly because we didn’t get Final Fantasy II, III, and V in North America at the time of this Super Nintendo game’s release (way back in 1994). Is it sad, or kind of cool that I could still remember when this game was first released? This was back in the days when my brother and I had a subscription to Nintendo Power (a classic video game magazine from Nintendo), so we knew about all the upcoming Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Game Boy game releases at the time.

What makes this iOS version so interesting is the fact that it has updated visuals. Just take a look at how sleek the visuals look now, especially when you compare it to the original Super Nintendo version. The graphics have been completely overhauled, and while everything is still 2-D, it’s just how the game was meant to be played. Plus, there’s some extra bonuses and new monsters thrown into this version of the game, which should please many fans.

I can honestly say that when I was a younger Ivan, this was my favourite video game for many years. I just might download this game, just to experience the new updated graphics on my iPad. Plus, I loved the storyline of the game, and it had some memorable characters and great gameplay (I still remember the characters and storyline twists, and I first played this game back when I was 9 years old). I highly recommend this game, especially if you’re an RPG fan.

I’ve included a snippet of a review of this game from Arcade Sushi below:

No matter what form it’s in, Final Fantasy VI is one of the best games in the history of the medium, with its fast-paced battles, humongous world to explore, fascinating characters and bold, original story.

Happy gaming, Bargainmoosers!

Best Buy Canada: Monster DNA On-Ear Sound Isolating Headphones (Black Tuxedo) | Was $200 Now $100

Best Buy Canada: Monster DNA On Ear Sound Isolating Headphones (Black Tuxedo) | Was $200 Now $100

Looking for the perfect Christmas gift that would please anyone that listens to music, whether it’s from their iPod, iPhone, iPad, tablet, or cell phone? Then you need to check out today’s deal at Best Buy. It’s for Monster DNA On-Ear Sound Isolating Headphones, and they’re currently 50% off the retail price! They typically sell for $199.99, but you can now buy these premium headphones for $99.99! You’ll also qualify for free shipping when you order these Monster DNA On-Ear Sound Isolating Headphones!

When you want to enjoy your music even more, these Monster DNA On-Ear Sound Isolating Headphones will help you do just that. This brand has a high affinity with their customers, and they look sleek and svelte, too!

It’s been a while since I’ve owned a high quality pair of headphones. Lately, I’ve been using regular stock ear buds that came with my iPhone, and they do the job, but they just don’t deliver that extra impact that these Monster DNA On-Ear Sound Isolating Headphones would. These would be the perfect gift for those that are hard to buy presents for – after all, most of us enjoy listening to music, so this would be a great gift!

If you were to purchase these Monster DNA On-Ear Sound Isolating Headphones from Amazon, they would cost you $183.11. They’re currently selling for $199.99 at The Source, too. Listed below is a snippet of a review of these Monster headphones from a satisfied Amazon customer:

These are honestly the best sounding headphones I’ve heard in a while. I’ve tried beats and thought the bass was too overwhelming. I tried a good pair of Sennheisers and thought they sounded great, but didn’t like the way they looked or felt.

These may not be available for very long, since limited quantities are currently available. I hope you all have a great weekend!

IGN Free Game Download: Ridge Racer Slipstream For The iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch ($2.99 Value)

IGN Free Game Download: Ridge Racer Slipstream For The iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch ($2.99 Value)

Any gamers out there that want to try out a free Ridge Racer game for their Apple device? Well IGN is currently having a promotion where you can now get a free download for Ridge Racer Slipstream for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch! This racing game normally costs $2.99, You can’t go wrong with a free game, especially when it’s from a reputable franchise. This isn’t just some no-name racer game – Ridge Racer has been popular on home consoles and arcades since 1995! Also, you won’t have to worry about paying any hidden shipping fees, since you’ll be downloading this game straight on to your Apple device!

The Ridge Racer series has been heralded by Namco for 2 decades as a can’t-miss racing game that anyone could enjoy. I first tried out Ridge Racer on my buddy’s Sony Playstation back when 3D graphics used to impress most people, and I loved how high-speed the racing was compared to another 3D racer that I was used to playing (Virtua Racing for the Sega 32X – it had its charm, but Ridge Racer was just so much funner in my opinion).

When I finally got my own Playstation system several years later, I ended up trying out R4: Ridge Racer Type 4, and for its time it had some amazing graphics! I guess that’s why I have an affinity for the Ridge Racer series… I get nostalgic whenever I hear the name! Ridge Racer Slipstream is a newer entry to the series, and it looks like it’s a lot of fun! Since this game is free, I highly suggest that you download it before this opportunity disappears!

Ridge Racer Slipstream normally costs $2.99 at The Apple Store. Listed below is a snippet of a review of this game from Touch Arcade:

This is a good, well-made Ridge Racer game for your mobile device. It plays the way it should, the content is fully accessible without paying if you have patience, and there’s a good amount in here with more likely to come.

Happy gaming, Bargainmoosers!

I have an iPod dock that comes with an alarm clock as well, and I really enjoy using it. I’m accustomed to waking up to the sounds of the radio playing as my alarm clock, and it’s also sweet to use it to charge my iPhone. Best Buy Canada: Up To $100 off iPods

Best Buy Canada: Up To $100 off iPods

Best Buy is having a limited time sale this weekend, with web exclusive deals happening throughout the time. There are less than 22 hours left and I found a fantastic deal on iPods, with up to $100 off, depending on which style you get.

The largest discount on iPods is on the iPod Touch 5th generation with 64GB, which is $100 off, now $299.99. Price comparing this item, I found it at Walmart for $398 and the lowest I found it elsewhere is at The Source, for $319. It is available in a number of colours at this price, including pink, space grey and white. I was at my mom’s cottage this weekend and she has an iPod like this (not sure which generation). She has so much music on it and it made me wish for something like this for using at the gym and at my desk while I work.

If you don’t need that much space and want to go a little cheaper (although I think the deal above is the best of them all), then you could go for the iPod Touch 5th generation 32GB model. It is $30 off, now $249.99. I found it at Walmart for $269.99.

My son has also been asking for an iPod to listen to music in his bed while he reads. I think we’ll get him one for his birthday, but I don’t want to spend a lot and this iPod shuffle 5th generation with 2GB is perfect for what he needs. It is $5 off, bringing the price down to $44.99.

Best Buy offers free shipping on all orders over $20, so no matter which iPod you get, it will ship to you for free. There are quite a few other deals going on during this sale at Best Buy, so you might want to check them out too if you are in the need for new electronics or the like.

WalMart Canada: 16GB iPod Touch | Was $198 Now $168 (EXPIRED)

WalMart Canada: 16GB iPod Touch | Was $198 Now $168 (EXPIRED)

It’s time to celebrate Thursdays, Bargainmoosers! At least WalMart is giving us a good reason to celebrate today, since they’re having their anniversary sale! An enticing sale that they’re having is for a 16GB iPod Touch, which you can get for $168 – the regular price is $198, so that’s $30 off (a nominal discount for an Apple product). Plus, you’ll be able to get free shipping!

With a 4 – inch retina display and a powerful A5 dual core chip behind its shell, this iPod Touch is a versatile device that can provide you with plenty of storage space.

Some may not find 16 GB ideal for their needs, but if you don’t plan to transfer over your entire music library to it, or if you plan to mainly use it to play around with some apps, then this would certainly suit your needs.

I know I previously mentioned an iPod Touch that was on sale at The Source last week, but it didn’t stay in stock for very long (click here to check out that expired deal). Thankfully, this WalMart sale provides us all with a second chance to get a good discount on a 16GB iPod Touch. Also, unlike the deal at The Source that was an open box item, this one is brand new!

Buying a 16GB iPod Touch at Best Buy will cost you $219.99, while it’s on sale at Future Shop for $209.99. I’ve listed a brief review of the 16GB iPod Touch from a satisfied WalMart customer below:

Instead of fighting with crowds to get my son an iPod touch for Christmas, I got to stay in my Jammie’s and drink my coffee while I clicked a few buttons! The best idea I have ever had!

Get these while they last! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers – I hope you all have a fun and productive day!

The Source: iPod Touch 5th Generation 16 GB (Damaged Box) Was $230 Now $160 (Expired)

Posted by on September 9, 2014 at 9:30 AM

The Source: iPod Touch 5th Generation 16 GB (Damaged Box) Was $230 Now $160 (Expired)

In today’s Apple – centric society, many people desire iPhones and iPods. Even I’ll admit that I was late to join the bandwagon, but once I finally purchased an iPod Touch several years ago, I realized just how useful these mobile devices are. Getting a decent deal on Apple products can be a rarity due to their massive popularity, but this particular deal at The Source is really hot, so take advantage of this while you can! At The Source, you can order a 5th Generation iPod Touch with 16 GB of storage space (listed as a display model, and it has a damaged box) for just $159.97! It normally retails for $229.99, so you’re saving $70.02 in total! It also qualifies for free shipping – whoo!

There are many apps that you’d find useful on an iPod Touch. Whether you’re looking for word applications, video players, recipe e-books, or games, the iPod Touch will consistently keep you entertained. Its bright retina display and Facetime capabilities are also very cool!

I found that the iPod Touch helped me improve my productivity. When I first got one of these devices, it allowed me to check my work related emails (I was strictly freelancing at the time) when I was away from my home office, or when I was visiting friends. This was when mobile internet plans were less affordable than they are currently, so I found the iPod Touch incredibly useful (obviously, if I was on the road or at a store, I couldn’t check my emails with the iPod Touch, since a wireless internet connection is required).

This is the latest edition of the iPod Touch (5th generation), and 16 GB of room for your songs and apps should be just enough space for most casual users. It’s currently selling for $219.99 at Future Shop, but they’re all out of stock at this time. Surprisingly, Best Buy is actually having a sale on these at the moment for $179.99, but they’re all sold out according to their website.

Here’s a snippet of a review for the 5th gen iPod Touch from a satisfied Best Buy customer:

Simply said, Apple has always done an amazing job on their flagship iPod device, the iPod Touch. With a stunning retina display, it makes even watching movies worth it (which normally wouldn’t be on a small screen). With the processing power they fill it with, I can play games on it that not even my cell phone can play properly!!

This deal won’t last long, so get this while they’re still in stock at The Source! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Sears Canada: Super Hero Earbuds up to 50% Off

Sears Canada has a pretty cool electronics deal happening right now at their outlet store.  Save up to 50% on all super hero earbuds for a limited time only.

There are 9 different super heroes to choose from:

All earbuds are from the vintage collection, which is pretty cool. Each set is compatible with iPods, iPads and iPhones and they all have a 1 year warranty on them.

I have two boys so we have a lot of super hero items around the house.  My kids would go nuts for any of these earbuds and because they are priced so low right now, I may grab some to add to their Easter baskets.

As for the cost of shipping, you will get free shipping on orders of $99 or more.

iGN: Free Sky Gamblers: Storm Raiders Game For iPod Touch, iPad & iPhone

iGN: Free Sky Gamblers: Storm Raiders Game For iPod Touch, iPad & iPhone

Boom! Another great iOS game for free from IGN!

IGN’s free game of the month is Sky Gamblers: Storm Raiders and you get it for free! It’s a 4 1/2 star game and it costs $4.99 USD from iTunes. It’s $44.99 and looks like it’s worth every penny. Just look at this trailer for it. Pretty cool, huh? So it’s a WW2 Warplane Fighter game.

From IGM:

  • Participate in visceral dogfights, protect cities and fleets, bomb enemy structures and even fly through tunnels.
  • Fly in fully recreated cities with realistic weather, accurate atmospheric scattering with aerial perspective and highly detailed planes with interactive cockpits.
  • Invite your friends to play online, and choose between cooperative and competitive modes.

The game came out at the end of November 2012 but isn’t available on the Google Play Store right now. There are two other iterations of Sky Gamblers on the Google Play store (for free) so I picked them up and they are quite fun. They do a very good job at striking a balance between the casual game feel that makes games on your phone or tablet and a full fledged WW2 Warplane Simulator you’d play on a PC or Console.

Grab your code from IGM today and start playing!

IGN: Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour For iOS For Free (Was $7)

Posted by on January 12, 2014 at 10:00 PM

IGN: Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour For iOS For Free (Was $7)

IGN is at it again with another free iOS game! This time it’s Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour.

I got into the mobile gaming world probably six years ago when my Dad bought me an iPod Touch for Christmas. It was awesome because now I didn’t need to bring a console with me to play games. The games were good back then, but they weren’t great. It wasn’t exactly a full replacement for my beloved PSP. You could play doodle jump and do crosswords until your thumbs fell off, but you couldn’t get a “real” video game experience.

Games like Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour have come much, much closer to replacing a PSP or DS, and for many people it already has. I should mention here that, for me, a cell phone will never replace a hand held console. Unfortunately for Sony and Nintendo, a lot of people disagree. There is no wonder why; this game runs on the Havok Engine! Assassin’s Creed uses the Havok Engine. Just take a look at this game’s trailer and you’ll see what I mean.

Did you watch it yet? Good. See what I mean? Pretty intense, right?

You can get this wonder on your iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad for free from IGN all month! It’s normally $6.99.

IGN.com: Get Infinity Blade II For iPhone, iPad & iPod Touch For Free

Nothing says merry Christmas like killing folk in Infinity Blade II on your iOS device for free from IGN!

Infinity Blade is a big deal on iOS. People go nuts over this game, to the point where there are books based on the game. The game is basically an on-rails fighting game and, from what I understand from playing its clones on Android, it really takes advantage of the touch screen interface. Yeah, that’s right, it isn’t on Android. So, for all you people out there who roll their eyes every time I passive-aggressively attack Apple, here is your chance to point out that when it comes to Infinity Blade games, iOS is superior. I admit it, there!

Here is the Infinity Blade II trailer:

Target Canada: iPod Touch 4th Gen – 16GB Only $130 (Save $70)

Posted by on November 29, 2013 at 10:15 AM

Target Canada: iPod Touch 4th Gen 16GB Only $130 (Save $70)

Get one of the best personal computers, music players, video players and handheld game machines out there in the Apple iPod Touch for only $129.99 from Black Friday at Target Canada! This deal is in-store only.

I sometimes pass up deals like this because I’m a tech guy. If I was going to buy an iPod Touch, I’d go for the best I could get. It’s not that the fifth generation iPod Touch is that much better than the fourth generation, I’m just a maniac. Normal people (you’re normal, right?) don’t care about the differences between the two devices. This iPod Touch still plays music, plays video, lets you get on the internet and play all the games and apps you love, and right now you get it for only $129.99 at Target. These things are normally $200, so you’re saving $70.

I think the best use case for this is either for a kid, or someone who hates smartphones. It’s great for kids because you can buy them cheap games or get free ones, you can load video on it, they can listen to their music and you never have to worry about an $800 text message bill. It’s primarily for games, though. Tons of people are giving these to their kids instead of a Nintendo 3DS or a Sony PS Vita. As for people who hate smartphones, it seems like most people I know who don’t like smartphones just don’t see a need to pay for data. They want a phone that “phones”, and that’s it. Most of them “ooo” and “aaaah” over a cool app or whatever on my phone. They can get the cool apps, movies, music and all that stuff on this device, and never have a monthly fee. Their phone can still do phone things, and their iPod Touch can be smart.

These are going to sell fast, so if you are reading this and want it, go get it now. That’s right, leave your job as an air traffic controller or EMT and go get it. Not really, but really, go get it.
