Ink is certainly not cheap so I appreciate these vouchers. They carry all major brands of ink and some no-name brands as well if you are on a tight budget. My printer complains if I try to use a no-name version of ink. It wants ‘HP’ brand and nothing else.

MonoPrice has an impressive selection of ink and toner cartridges. They have a page to find the right cartridge that has printers from manufacturers I’ve never even heard of. It looks like they even have cartridges for some specialty printers.

As with everything on MonoPrice, you can save some serious money when you buy their products in quantity. I don’t suspect anyone is going to buy 50 toner cartridges but it isn’t beyond the realm of possibility that you’d want to order two or three. Actually, you really should always have a second cartridge on hand just in case you run out. I can’t tell you how many sites I support in my day job that run out of toner and have to live without printing until they get another cartridge. Losing the ability to print can be really detrimental to a lot of businesses.

It’s important to note that these cartridges are not OEM. They are cartridges that have been recycled and refilled. The quality of these cartridges is generally very good and you save a lot of money over the insane prices that the OEMs charge. A few years ago someone made a graph of the price of printer ink, vs. other liquids such as human blood, penicillin, Red Bull, bottled water and crude oil. Disgustingly enough, printer ink is nearly double the price per milliliter for the next most expensive liquid on the graph, human blood. Crude Oil (at the time) didn’t even register on this chart!
