Ikea Canada Warns People To Use Safety Anchors With All Furniture After Deaths of Children

Two children in the U.S. have died after Ikea furniture has fallen on them and Ikea is now insisting that people use the safety devices that come with the furniture to ensure it doesn’t happen again. Both 2-year-old boys died in 2014 in two separate incidents after their Malm chests tipped and fell on them. Other reports of dressers tipping on people have resulted in more injuries.

Ikea provides tip-over restraints with the assembly instructions provided with all of their furniture. Read the rest of this entry »

IKEA Hacks – 7 Makeovers For The RAST Three Drawer Chest

IKEA Hacks 7 Makeovers For The RAST Three Drawer Chest

In our home we never seem to have quite enough storage. Every time I think I have a new system in place, I blink and our storage needs have changed somewhere in the house. Check out the RAST Three Drawer Chest at IKEA made of solid pine. This small three drawer chest is super affordable at $40 for storage, but lacks a little curb appeal. With a little paint and some new hardware, this basic piece easily morphs to fit your style. You can also stack two side by side for even more storage. Check out seven inspirational makeovers below using the RAST Three Drawer Chest.

Apothecary Storage

IKEA Hacks 7 Makeovers For The RAST Three Drawer Chest

Thrifty and Chic made a beautiful nightstand that looks like it is straight off the pages of a magazine with this apothecary table makeover.  I might consider using this as part of my drop spot in my front entryway that I discussed in the post 5 Cheap Strategies To Curb Kid Clutter. I love her choice of hardware. This project will cost some paint, a few drawer pulls, a router and a little time to create a piece that looks fairly high end.

Modern Bathroom Vanity

IKEA Hacks 7 Makeovers For The RAST Three Drawer Chest

This hack is taking the RAST Three Drawer Chest to a new level and turning it into a full vanity with a salad bowl, some plumbing, some extra wood and paint. You can check out this amazing hack on the blog Berger Porta or see the inspirational photos this blogger posted on IKEA Hackers. The blog itself is Hungarian, but has enough pictures to showcase the full process.

Asian Inspired Chest

IKEA Hacks 7 Makeovers For The RAST Three Drawer Chest

Design Manifest created a beautiful design mimicking a higher end Asian chest. Start by coating the RAST Three Drawer Chest in a coat of glossy black paint. Red would look amazing also if you are bit bold. The trick to this hack is finding just the right antique looking brackets and drawer pulls to pull the whole piece together. While this blogger used two sets of drawers to make a longer piece, you could easily adapt this technique to make a single smaller storage piece.

French Provincial

IKEA Hacks 7 Makeovers For The RAST Three Drawer Chest

I love the graphic fabric on this French Provincial style RAST Three Drawer Chest from Confessions of a Serial Do It Yourselfer. I would never know this beautiful set of drawers started as a simple IKEA set of drawers. The molding trim and added piece of wood for the top really set this hack apart to create a beautiful piece of furniture. The blogger uses Mod Podge to add fabric to the front of the piece. From personal experience, I recommend buying the hard coat Mod Podge for furniture as it both adheres the fabric well and gives you a shiny yet durable top coat. If you’re not familiar with this awesome product, check out the Mod Podge Rocks blog for tips and inspiration.

Closet Storage System

IKEA Hacks 7 Makeovers For The RAST Three Drawer Chest

Over at My Bella Bug they stacked two of the RAST Three Drawer Chests on top of each other to create an awesome custom closet. With the addition of some adjustable shelves, this kids closet storage solution looks amazing. This idea could easily adapt for an adult storage system also. My Bella Bug has some detailed pictures to help you create your own. I expect this would be a multiple day project to complete, but it turned out amazing.

Nautical Stripes

IKEA Hacks 7 Makeovers For The RAST Three Drawer Chest

Check out this is a super simple hack that will give your RAST Three Drawer Chest a little bit more character from Windgate Lane. Use some painters tape to create fun nautical stripes. You may notice they left some of this chest natural on the front. Not only does leaving the natural wood make this project beautiful, it also makes this one of the quicker hacks.

Campaign Style Drawers

IKEA Hacks 7 Makeovers For The RAST Three Drawer Chest

Dwellings By Devore has a cute green campaign style RAST Three Drawer Chest. This piece could easily be in your bedroom, living room or entryway. I like the colour of this green in particular, but have seen almost every colour of the rainbow made in this same campaign style for a pop of colour. This is a simple hack with a big payoff. Simply add paint, handles and brackets.

Ikea Hacks – 6 Ways To Repurpose A Lack Table

Ikea Hacks 6 Ways To Repurpose A Lack Table

Ikea is well known for having affordable furniture and storage solutions. I love walking through their showrooms and seeing how the designers having taken a cramped apartment and folded it away like an origami swan. While Ikea has many great home solutions on the cheap, sometimes you want your furniture pieces to look and function a little differently. If you are even a little handy, you can use IKEA furniture to create some fabulous pieces for your home.

I am so excited to show you some of the amazing uses of the infamous Lack Side Table. The Lack Side table retails for around $13 and sometimes goes on sale for even less. This basic side table comes in a whole host of colours from brown black, to white, birch, green, red and more. The super low price makes it a perfect piece of furniture to experiment with for a larger DIY project. With a little time, you can transform that $13 table into a whole host of amazing things for your home. Check out a few of the ideas below.

Upholstered Ottoman

Ikea Hacks 6 Ways To Repurpose A Lack Table

Check out the fantastic upholstered ottoman created at Infarrantly Creative. Most small ottomans start at around $70 and only go up in price from there. Give your living room a pop of colour for much less with this fun project. Ikea has a whole host of fabric you can choose from at inexpensive prices right in the store. This project only calls for a yard and a half of fabric among a few other supplies such as foam for the cushion. I recommend finding a fun pattern while you are already at Ikea or shopping the remnants section at the fabric store to find a small piece of fabric on the cheap.

Reclaimed Wood Coffee Table

Ikea Hacks 6 Ways To Repurpose A Lack Table

This chic little coffee table made of reclaimed wood and two Lack tables will surely have your friends buzzing. Check out the great tutorial from Treasures and Travels for the full details of this amazing table. This great feature even has full video instructions included. I love the look of the wood on top of the table. No one will guess there is a Lack table hiding under there. A reclaimed wood table will cost you $200 and up for a basic coffee table.

Lego Table

Ikea Hacks 6 Ways To Repurpose A Lack Table

Over at Kojo Designs they have Lego storage figured out. A Lego table will easily run you $100+ on sale. Pick up a Lack table instead and you will have a place for those bricks. Adhere several Lego plates to the table using epoxy, gorilla glue or some other type of strong glue that works with plastic. Once dry the basic part of the table is now finished. I love how Kojo Designs attached a magnetic strip to the side. Then they attached various larger storage containers to the end of the table. Maybe that will mean one less Lego my foot finds as I try to walk across the living room floor.

Cat Tree

Ikea Hacks 6 Ways To Repurpose A Lack Table

Kitty lovers, I am talking to you! Check out this amazing Cat Tree at Ikea Hackers, one of the ultimate Ikea hack resources. For this project, you need four Ikea Lack tables, some metal brackets, some twine for kitty to scratch and a bath mat or two. This full size cat tree has two shelves, but if you only have one kitty you could consider building it a little smaller with one less shelf. If you have priced out a kitty condo anytime in the last few years, you know they easily start at $80 for a tiny version. Larger cat trees range to around $200. In addition, they are a huge carpeted eyesore in your living room. This amazing Lack hack will blend in to your living space easier, making life for both you and your kitty a bit brighter.

Mod Planter Table

Ikea Hacks 6 Ways To Repurpose A Lack Table

This crazy easy Instructable teaches you how to install a planter into the centre of your Lack table. Plant a herb garden or your favourite flowers right in the center for a mod looking piece. The creator of this hack quickly discovered the centre of the table can be filled with all sorts of decorative fun. A few ideas they used to fill this table include shells, a small bubbling water fountain, pebbles with candles and more. I love all the different ways this hacker changed one inexpensive table to create multiple different looks throughout the year.

Brass Corners Side Table

Ikea Hacks 6 Ways To Repurpose A Lack Table

You can make your Lack table look like a much more expensive piece of furniture than it is with this hack from Our Chocolate Shavings. Pick up some brass corners at any hardware store for roughly $5-$8. Glue or nail the corners on to the edges of the table to give your table a chic look for very little time or effort.

Bargainmoosers, what would you create with a Lack table?

New Years Savings of up to 20% Off Your Purchase @ Ikea Canada Online Today (EXPIRED)

Posted by on January 1, 2015 at 1:57 PM

New Years Savings of up to 20% Off Your Purchase @ Ikea Canada Online Today (EXPIRED)

Cheers to an amazing deal from IKEA Canada. For New Years day, you can shop at IKEA online and save up to 20% off your purchase. With this promotion, the more you spend at IKEA online, the more you save. This is your opportunity to get some additional savings at IKEA, or purchase a regular priced item you have had your eyes on for a while.

This IKEA Canada offer is valid today for New Years. This deal is also only available online, which works out well. Shopping from my computer in the comfort of my home sounds a lot better than driving around on New Years day.

  • Save 10% off your purchase of $200 or more
  • Save 15% off your purchase of $300 or more
  • Save 20% off your purchase of $400 or more

There is no hassle of entering a coupon code either, just add your items to your cart to get the savings. I tested this offer, and it can be combined with sales offers too! I added the SOLSTA Sofa Bed to my cart. It is on sale for $199.00. To get the 10% discount, I added the LACK Side Table to my cart which is on sale for $9.99. After receiving the New Years savings, the SOLSTA Sofa Bed ended up being just $179.10 and the LACK Table will cost just $8.99.

This would also be a great chance to pick up items that rarely go on sale. The MAMMUT Children’s furniture is super cute. I was thinking of getting a small table and a couple chairs for my son’s room. These would make great tables for colouring, crafts and other activities that you don’t want on the carpet. The MAMMUT Children’s Stools are only $7.99 each, but if you are looking for a little more stability for your little one, I would get the MAMMUT Children’s Chairs for $14.99 each. You could also go for a sales item in this department too. The UTTER Children’s Table with 2 Stools is just $16.99 right now. For durability and quality, I would pick the MAMMUT furniture over the UTTER furniture, but of course it depends on what your needs are.

The biggest downfall to this offer is the shipping rates. Home Delivery will cost you $99.00. Of course most of the IKEA items are of larger size, so it really beats trying to find a car of a big enough size to pick it up yourself. I think to get the best benefit of this sale, it would make sense to spend as much as you can to make the $99 shipping worth it. If you spend $400 and save 20% off, you will be saving $80. My suggestion would be to spend $400 on sale items to get the best discounts combined with your 20% off.

Ikea Canada: Free $20 Off $75 with $20 Tree Purchase (In Store)

Posted by on December 8, 2014 at 6:09 PM

Ikea Canada: Free $20 Off $75 with $20 Tree Purchase (In Store)

Occasionally, an in store deal only is so good that we just have to mention it. Purchase a fresh natural fir tree at Ikea for only $20, and receive a $20 off $75 coupon valid for your next purchase. Essentially, you are getting the tree for free.

If you have not picked up a Christmas tree yet, this is the time to do it. This offer is only valid on the natural fir tree that will only cost you $20. The coupon you receive for $20 off $75 will be valid between December 15th and January 31st, 2015. That means you can even use it on Boxing Day!

The offer does not make mention of any store exclusions, so I assume it includes all of the following Canadian Ikea locations – excluding Quebec as I cannot find mention of it on store pages for the Montreal and Vaughan locations.

Of course, this offer is available while quantities last. You may wish to phone ahead to your local store to ensure that the promotion is on and that there are still trees (and coupons) available.

If you live in Quebec, then I would double check to see whether this promotion is indeed available or not at your Ikea stores. I do not understand why Quebec is excluded from so many promotions.

I do not live near an Ikea anymore, but when I did, it was quite the event to take a trip there. The store is like a giant maze and I often felt like a mouse trapped inside it. There is just so much stuff and once you are inside, you just have to keep on following the paths until you find an exit. While they have some great stuff in there, I did find the store too big for me. I like stores where I can see a few windows into the outside world now and then.

Bargainmoosers, when do you put up your Christmas Tree?

Ikea Sofas, Loveseats & Armchairs: BOGO 50% Off!

Posted by on November 15, 2014 at 3:00 PM

Ikea Sofas, Loveseats & Armchairs: BOGO 50% Off!

There is no time like the holidays to get your home looking at its best, which is great because Ikea is having a sale! There’s a choice of two offers; buy any fabric sofa, love seat or armchair and get the second 50% off – or, don’t pay for six months with your Ikea credit card.

The Ikea Ektorp sofa is a classic style that is one for the ages. I know several people who have had products from the Ektorp range for years and have found them to be durable. If you have a bit more contemporary style the Karlstad and Kivik ranges have modern, clean straight lines. I’ve had my eye on Karlstad L-shaped sofa for a while now, it’s a nice solid sofa to cover with my many throw cushions! With this deal it isn’t just sofas, you can get two armchairs or a love seat and sofa, whatever combination you like.

Unfortunately the leather products aren’t part of the promo. That’s okay for me because the great part about Ikea soft furnishings is that you can take off the covers. If you have pets or kids and your sofa is a bit worse for wear, you can take the covers off and have them cleaned. Or if you fancy yourself as an interior decorator and need a makeover every so often, you can buy the covers in a different colour and give your room a new look.

Ikea is big box at its best which isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but there are ways to take the generic items and make them your own style. There are a lot of Ikea hacks on Pinterest and changing something like the legs on furniture can make a big difference. When I was last in Ikea I noticed there are different choices for the legs on sofas and chairs now too. All the different ranges come with a selection of covers, with the biggest selection for covers in the Ektorp range.

There aren’t always sales or promos on soft furnishings at Ikea, they usually have a few sale events a year, aside from when a particular range is discontinued. If you want to spruce up your living room and you’re not sure which range to go for, now is a good time to have a browse and snap up a bargain.

Ikea Canada: 25% Off Shipping

Posted by on September 12, 2014 at 5:30 PM

Ikea Canada: 25% Off Shipping

Ikea Canada is offering 25% off shipping costs right now. While this is not a large promotion from the Swedish giant, it is rare for there to be an online promotion so I thought it worth blogging about.

Not everyone has the convenience of an Ikea nearby, but they would still like to purchase Ikea furniture and more for either the aesthetic or the cost. While not all products are available online, it at least gives you somewhere to start when shopping for your new Ikea goods.

If you need a new dresser, check out the TARVA 3 drawer chest that was just reduced from $99 to $79.99. It is made of solid wood and has nice smooth running drawers. This dresser is perfect for a child’s bedroom or the room of a more minimalistic shopper (it certainly would not fit my husband’s wardrobe).

The 25% off shipping is automatically taken off and the estimate given reflects this discount. Ikea shipping is fairly high, but you must keep in mind you are shipping very heavy objects. The dresser above, after discount, would cost $18.75 to ship to Vancouver Island. Here in Nanaimo, we are not on the mainland and we are pretty far from an Ikea, which is probably why it costs so much.

You do not have to buy furniture at Ikea, there are also linens and other (smaller) objects you can purchase from there as well. Summer is quickly fading into fall, but you can bask in the green days of summer with this STRANDKRYPA duvet cover and pillowcase(s) set for $34.99. Shipping would be just $10.50 to where I live, and probably much less for mainland Canada.

I do not have much from Ikea myself, but I do love their bookshelves. They seem to be very versatile and I have seen so many things made out of them including benches and display cases. My main Ikea purchases have been big mason jars for my baking supplies and small glass jars for spices. I really like using the glass mason jars as my ingredients stay fresher much longer in the jars. I also do not have to worry about pesky insects as the jars seal. My spices also stay fresher longer in my Ikea jars.

Moosers, do you shop at Ikea? If so, what are some of your favourite things that you have purchased from there?

Avoid Spending A Fortune At Your Next Visit To Ikea

Posted by on August 24, 2014 at 8:00 PM

Avoid Spending A Fortune At Your Next Visit To Ikea

There’s a reason why Ikea is so popular.  Ever since I was a child, I used to be obsessed with looking at the Ikea catalogues. I’m still amazed at the beautiful layout and design ideas that the catalogue pages depict.  From the marketing design to the free children’s playroom (which I loved as a kid, by the way) and very economically priced hot dog and soft serve ice cream, the trip to Ikea is designed for you to invest your time and money. I think that most people agree: it can be very hard to get out of Ikea without spending any money.

Here are some ways in which you can save money during and after your next trip to Ikea:

Go With a Plan (and a List)

One of the easiest ways to spend money is through the slow meander through the display area in Ikea.  According to the Globe and Mail, the average shopper spends about two hours wandering through Ikea.  This is not surprising since the average size of Ikea is akin to roughly six football fields. The strategically placed items are meant to make you buy on impulse (all those cute things near the cashier are meant to make you impulse buy).  I found it very interesting that on average, 50% of customers who shop through Ikea purchase something, which is much higher than the average women’s wear boutique, per the Globe and Mail article.

If you head to Ikea and plan your purchases beforehand, you could head through those six football fields with less temptation and more direction. You will head straight to the warehouse section, find your aisle and get out of there without buying a lamp, a terrycloth stuffed animal, or some kitchen utensil that you probably do not need.  This article from The Consumerist concurs that the Ikea business thrives on add-on sales.

Take Advantage of Sales

If you sign up for their mailing list, you will get to know firsthand when the bedroom collection or bathroom collection goes for 30% off.  Unfortunately it’s a little bit of spam, but considering Ikea stuff rarely goes on sale, this might not be a bad idea.

In addition, Ikea has Wacky Wednesday sales where they have an item that goes on sale for a very reasonable price. It does mean making a trip out to Ikea during a weekday, and sometimes the items are not necessary (meaning it would also be an impulse purchase if you bought it).

Finally, head to the As-Is section of Ikea.  The mark downs tend to be very generous and very reasonable.  Best yet, the As-Is section is full of items that are already assembled for you (that Allen Key is the bane of a lot of people’s existence, I’m sure). One person’s dislike is another person’s treasure, isn’t it!

If You Live in the States…

In the American Ikea stores, you can sign up for a $25 coupon if you spend more than $250 and are planning to move. In addition, if you sign up for the Ikea Friends and Family Program you can get a free cup of coffee and get information on the special discounts just for members. It is free to join. I don’t think we have any great deals like this in our Canadian Ikea stores, but hopefully in the future there will be.

After Your Visit

After your visit to Ikea comes the dreaded task of assembling the furniture with the aforementioned Allen Key.  I found that it was useful to pay someone (I found someone on Craigslist) to do it because it saved me time and frustration. For me, I could spend my time being more productive as opposed to spending hours trying to assemble something properly.

However, asking your friends to help out (handy friends, might I add) is a great solution too!

Get Some Ikea Hack Ideas

If you are bored with your Ikea furniture and want to make it a bit more unique, especially since everyone is buying the same furniture, head to this great website called Ikea Hackers.  It is filled with creative and easy ideas to make your Ikea furniture a bit more unique.

Ikea Canada Freebie: Cord Fastening Kit For Children’s Wall Mounted Lamps

Posted by on June 26, 2014 at 9:30 AM

Ikea Canada Freebie: Cord Fastening Kit For Children’s Wall Mounted Lamps

Ikea Canada is offering a great freebie right now with no purchases required.  For a limited time only, you can get a free Cord Fastening Kit for all of their children’s wall-mounted lamps.

Just like the safety concerns with blind cords in children’s rooms, there are some safety concerns having wall mounted lamps in children’s rooms as well.  Loose lamp cords can present an entanglement hazard to infants and young children. Make sure that the lamp and cord is out of reach of children when in a crib or playpen and securely fastened to the wall.

In order to do this, all you will need to do is phone the Ikea Canada number toll free at 1-800-661-9807 to get a free cord fastening kit for your child’s wall mounted lamps.

This free kit will include everything you will need to ensure your child’s safety in their room.  It includes a warning label, safety instructions and self-adhesive fasteners for securing the lamp cord to the wall. It looks like there is no maximum number of wall kits you can order free of charge, so you will want to order one per wall light in your kids rooms.  I know my son has a wall lamp right now and although it looks great and he loves it, this freebie has opened my eyes.  I will be calling to get my free kit today!

This is the type of freebie you will want to pass onto other parents or daycares for saftey reasons.  Share the freebie on Facebook as well to reach even more people.  When it comes to the well being of a child, you can never do too much.

Free $40 Ikea Canada Coupon On $200+ In Stores

Posted by on June 1, 2014 at 12:30 PM

Free $40 Ikea Canada Coupon On $200+ In Stores

Ikea is one of those stores that you can purchase so much for such a little amount of money, and still get some pretty great quality items.  Right now until June 8th, head into your local Ikea and when you spend $200 or more, you will get a coupon for $40 off your next purchase.

Basically, when you spend at least $200 on anything, you will get this $40 coupon.  You will be able to use it between July 7th and September 8th 2014 on purchases of $150 or more.  You can look at it almost like getting a gift card for future purchases that has a minimum spend.

One of the great things about Ikea is how much they have to offer.  You can literally renovate any room and get all the decorations and furniture to redo it at one store.  Not only that, but they are very affordable as well.  Any time we need to buy some new furniture, we price compare with Ikea and almost every time, Ikea has the best offer.  They may not be the identical piece of furniture but they are more cost efficient and the design is usually much cooler than places like The Brick or Leons.

I am looking to get some new bedding, so that is what I will be spending my $150 on to get my coupon.  Then this summer, we want to update our bathroom and kitchen area, so I will use my coupon for that.

If you are looking to get some great Ikea deals, the best time to shop would have to be on Wednesdays. Every Wednesday, they have what they call “Wacky Wednesday Deals” and you can save a bundle. I have bought flower vases for $0.01 (that is not a typo, they were actually just a penny each!), I have got a duvet (and a good one too) for just $20, and countless kitchen accessories for next to nothing. I actually saw a man that owned a dollar store and was purchasing Wacky Wednesday deals for his store, so he could turn around and sell them and make a profit!

Ikea Canada: 40% Off White Dinnerware

Posted by on April 10, 2014 at 9:30 PM

Ikea Canada: 40% Off White Dinnerware

Ikea has a fabulous deal on their 365+ open stock white dinnerware, with 40% off. I have their white dinnerware plates and absolutely love them, so I had to tell you about this deal so you can love them too.

Did you know that white is the best colour for dinnerware because it shows off the food, and the food is what really matters. I also heard that white plates are better for portion control as you really see what you are eating without all the busy patterns around your food.

Ikea has an 18-piece set of this dinnerware for $39.99, but if you bought each piece separately during this sale, you’d pay only $32.40 and this way you could actually customize the size and shape of the pieces you want, as well as how many you truly want.

This dinnerware is made of feldspar porcelain, which is impact resistant (meaning it might not break, but it is possible).

The only bummer I found out is that this deal is available only in-store, which might be ok as taking a trip to Ikea can be a fun family day out, you can get a very affordable meal in the restaurant and put your kids in the very fun playland. Also, shipping can be a little unaffordable.

Ikea Canada: Buy 3 Dining Chairs & Get One Free

Posted by on March 28, 2014 at 1:30 PM

Ikea Canada: Buy 3 Dining Chairs & Get One Free

Ikea has a great sale on dining chairs right now, where if you buy three, you get the fourth free. Buy six, get the seventh and eighth free and so on.

I have to say, this sale came at the most absolute perfect time for me. My husband built us a gorgeous farmhouse style wood table for our kitchen. The chairs we have go with the old table, so all will have to go and now we need chairs. To my chagrin, dining chairs are really expensive! I’ve searched high and lo and found the perfect ones at Ikea, just in time for this sale! Ikea does have really great prices on chairs, even though you have to put them together. I’ve searched Homesense, The Brick, Sears, Urban Barn and more and found that Ikea’s prices beat them all. Most chairs are at least $100 each and Ikea has them as low as $10!

The ones I love the most are these white Ingolf chairs with an X style back. I need something with no fabric as the kids spill often. White might not be the best choice for us, as you’ll see every fingerprint, but we were thinking of having two white chairs for my husband and I and then having these dark Kaustby chairs for the kids. My husband already went to pick up at our local store and they were sold out, so we are going to have to order online! Even better, the Ingolf chairs are on sale from $69.99, down to $59.99. The Kaustby chairs are only $49.99.

Shipping is usually pretty steep from Ikea, but I added four chairs to my cart and it only came to $25. That is worth the cost of gas depending where you live and you won’t spend your money on all the other trinkets you see in-store.

  • Spend $500, get $50 back

But, you can use it on any furniture, storage units, smaller items like toys or housewares. Ikea is the perfect place to shop to get yourself organized after the holidays with all the new stuff you don’t know where to put. They have awesome toy storage units, which I have all over my house.

Shipping depends on the size of what you order, but I have to say, it isn’t cheap. But, with this deal, the shipping would pay for itself.

Ikea Canada Midnight Madness: 50% Off Select Items (Expired)

Get 50% off select items at Ikea’s Midnight Madness sale on tonight from 6pm until midnight. There are hundreds of discounted items and while it says in-store only, it also says online prices will reflect the discounted price. Come back at 6pm to see if there are any goodies on sale. Or, head to your local store to make sure you get what you want. Each store has different items on sale, so check the Ikea website for your local store and what they’ll have on sale.

Some really good deals I see are:

  • 50% off assorted cushions and cushion covers
  • Malm bed frame only $99, was $149
  • Up to 50% off holiday items
  • Up to 75% off boxed as-is items
  • Swivel armchair only $59, was $89
  • Duvet cover and pillowcase only $39, was $79
  • Mammut children’s chair only $4.99, was $19.99

Ikea is so much fun to shop at during Christmas and if you can’t get there, shipping your items may be a little on the expensive side. You’ll have to put the item in your cart and use the estimator for shipping charges to your home.
