My husband does his own taxes from home, but I take advantage of the H&R Block Student Deal. I haven’t used H&R Block software myself, so I can’t give you an educated opinion based on experience. I usually have taken advantage of the student deal with H&R Block where I hand them my papers, they ask me a few questions, and then they hand me a cheque.

Now, I haven’t used H&R Block software myself, so I can’t give you a true and educated opinion. I just hand all my papers to an accountant… and I let him have the headache. But I can share some opinions from my friends, who have used H&R Block.  Avigayil has used the student edition to file her taxes and she thought it was great and didn’t have any issues with it at all. However, another friend used it this year and he wasn’t very happy with it. He felt that it was just a digitized version of the tax form did not see it as good value for money. The help and explanations weren’t great, and he also managed to submit erroneous information – it sent double rent amounts!

So, they’re 2 totally separate opinions, you’re welcome to make your own decision as to what tax software to use!
