Homesav Canada: 55% Off Quirky Blue Print Art

Posted by on February 10, 2013 at 12:00 PM

Homesav Canada: 55% Off Quirky Blue Print Art

Homesav Canada is offering 55% off the retail price of Quirky blueprint art.  This selection of vintage inspired art has blueprints of everyday objects as well as some appropriations of antique imagery.  Some select items have only a few left.

These blueprint artworks would look awesome in my office.  I do love the strange and unusual, anything that would serve as a conversation piece is something I would be interested in.

This Cassette Tape Recorder, 1977, 15”X 18” was $200 retail and is now only $89.  This would be pretty cool for those of us who remember the days of cassettes.

Here’s a blueprint of something you don’t see much of anymore.  This Slinky, 1947, 15” X 18” was $200 and is now also $89.  Remember, before video games, when kids used to play with a slinky for hours, all they needed was a set of stairs.

I love this Lego Toy Figure #2, 1979, 15” X 18” that was $200 and is now $89.  This print would look great in a little boy’s room and Lego is something that every generation can relate to.

How about this Doll Construction, 1961, 15” X 18”, that was also $200 and is now $89 for a little girl’s room.

I also love this Pyrotomic Disintegrator Gun, 1963, 26” X 32” that was $300 and is now $149.  When I look at this blueprint, the first thing I think of is Marvin the Martian from Bugs Bunny.

There are many different blueprints to choose from and even different sizes of the same print, so check them all out.

HomeSav Canada: Wash & Go Sale – Luxurious Towels & Robes

HomeSav Canada: Wash & Go Sale – Luxurious Towels & Robes

HomeSav Canada has a Wash & Go sale featuring some luxurious towel sets and robes.  There are a few different brand name collections available.

Something you can never have enough of is towels and this sale has a beautiful collection of different brands featuring luxurious and soft neutral colours for an elegant bathroom and you can even add a matching robe .

I do rather like this Belaire Collection 6pc Towel Set in pewter that was $154 and is now $74.  The set includes 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels and 2 wash cloths. I love the colour and hope that the picture is close to the actual shade, but as long as it’s neutral, I suppose that’s alright.

This Belaire Collection 6pc Towel Set in expresso that was $154 and is now $74, would match my bathroom beautifully with its lovely rich colour.

I wouldn’t mind adding this KassaSoft Collection 6 pc Towel Set in butter that were $160 and are now $79.  These towels make you crave a nice hot bath.

All of the robes look very soft and comfy, but I think this Spa Collection Bath Robe in cream would likely be the most neutral colour for my collection.  This was $118 and is now only $69, but it is only available in small and medium.

Homesav Canada: Discounted Prices On Nuvo Accents Stainless Steel Accessories

Homesav Canada: Discounted Prices On Nuvo Accents Stainless Steel Accessories

Homesav Canada has Nuvo stainless steel accents on sale and free shipping with most items.  Sale is valid until January 25th 2013 or while supplies last.

I’ve always liked having a nice bread basket for display on a dinner table and this Oval Bread Basket w/ Matte finish has a wonderful modern clean look.  This is stainless steel and 3.5”H X 8”W X 8”D, so a perfect size as well.  It is not recommended that this go in the dishwasher; hand wash and dry is preferred.  This was $40 retail and is now on sale for $34.

I also like this Circular Chip Platter that was $59 retail, now only $44, and is for so much more than chips.  The platter is 1.5”H X 11.5”W X 11.5”D and has a simple little white porcelain bowl in the centre. In our house, these are mostly used for veggies and dip, or homemade hors d’oeuvres.

This Crown Wine Bucket was $46 retail, is now $38 and would add a great finish to the table.  This bucket with the other two items above would be perfect for having a small get together and serving a few goodies.  The dimensions are 7”H X 7.5”W X 7.5”D and of course, it’s stainless steel.

The Medium Salad Bowl would be big enough to suit my needs as it is 3.5”H X 9.5”W X 9.5”D, a perfect family dinner salad size. This was $59 retail, now $44 and I’m sure it could be used for many more things, but since we eat a lot of salad it wouldn’t get the chance.

There are many other items in here, much fancier and for many more functions, but I like to keep things simple so that’s all I would like.

Shipping: Free with orders over $100.

Homesav Canada: Toss Ups – Funky Throw Cushions From $28

Homesav Canada: Toss Ups – Funky Throw Cushions From $28

Homesav Canada has some colourful throw pillows on sale starting at $28.  There are many different styles and colours to choose from and the sale is valid until January 18th 2013.

You could really add some colour and conversation starters to your rooms with some of these.  There are some pretty bold patterns, but they are quite interesting and many of them I find attractive.  They would be a nice change from the matching and boring same old stuff.

I really find this Yellow Corn Suzani quite intriguing.  This is available in 2 sizes, the 18” X 18” or the 18” X  12”. Both of these were priced at $40 and are now $28.  This is a great pattern with a stunning corn gold colour.  This is a medium weight pillow cover with an envelope closure for fuss free stuffing.

I also like this Mod Geometric pattern that was $44 retail and is now $28.  It might get a little hard on the eyes after a while though.  This Dove Gray Vintage Blossom may be a little more conservative.  This was $60 and is now $34.  It’s quite pretty with a pattern of vines, flowers and birds.

If you’re going to redecorate any room, take a minute and think about the throw cushions since it usually adds that finishing touch.

Homesav Canada: Winter Warehouse Blowout – Popular Items On Sale

Posted by on December 31, 2012 at 10:00 AM

Homesav Canada: Winter Warehouse Blowout – Popular Items On Sale

Homesav Canada is taking stock and having a warehouse winter blowout with many of their popular items on sale.  All kinds of items are available for your home. This deal will end on January 3rd 2013.

This fabulous Jaws Shower curtain is the reason this sale caught my eye.  It was originally priced at $22 and is now on sale for $12.50.  I just love different types of shower curtains, mostly for conversation reasons.  I also happen to know someone that this would be a perfect gift for and since I always shop for Christmas early, now is a good time to start for next year.

I also like this Electric Pepper mill that was $35 and is now $14.  I actually have a standard pepper mill and although I love the taste of the ground pepper, I do get tired of constantly turning the mill to get  the right amount.   This is also stainless steel which matches my small kitchen appliances.

This Magenta Matte Salad Server set that was $85 and is now $24 is quite intriguing.  I’m not sure about the colour, but the style is definitely something I like and I’m really beginning to love the bamboo items.  There was also one in blue, but unfortunately it sold out.  We are very big salad eaters and these will get a lot of use.

Many of the items are sold out, but there are still quite a few left, so browse through them.

Shipping:  Free with orders over $100.

Homesav Canada: Great Bamboo Serving Dishes & Accessories For Up To 69% Off

Homesav Canada is offering some great Core Bamboo serving dishes and accessories at up to 69% off retail prices.  All products are made by their experienced team of artisans in a safe and responsible environment.  The shipping is free on most items and sale is valid until December 13th 2012 or while quantities last.

Cutting boards are always a huge necessity at this time of year, or for any holiday.  This Pro-Chef Butcher’s Block with 3 prep bowls that was $294 and is now only $89.  I actually have one of these, and it is a must for any kitchen.  We are quite big on extra toppings and dips for our various favorite finger foods and this board comes in so handy.  It’s nice to work with as the size is quite large, and it’s even great to use as a serving tray with the bowls fitting right into the block.

There are some nice serving bowls as well, like this Astor Bowl Magenta that was $77 retail and is now only $38.  Now this is made of bamboo with a gorgeous magenta colour on the outside, but needs to be hand washed, so not ideal for a dishwasher.

I also love this little Cheesy Board that was $37 and is now only $28.  I like to serve many different cheeses during the holidays and always find it useful to have a board and knife dedicated to just that.  This comes with the bamboo board in a cheese slice shape with a stainless steel cheese knife that actually has the word cheese stamped out of the blade.

One of the best pieces, I believe, is the Revolving Serving platter that was $80 retail and is now $54.  These are great for those snacks like nuts and fruit or cut up veggies.  The tray has six places for different items as well as a lovely little ceramic bowl in the centre for dips and such.

Shipping: Free with orders over $100.

Homesav Canada: Cozy In Cashmere Scarves Over 50% Off

Homesav Canada has beautiful cozy cashmere scarves for sale at less than half price.  Many bright colours and styles are available and sale will end on November 18th 2012.

I love scarves and there’s one here for everyone.  This Cashmere & Wool Lettuce Edge Wrap Claret was $416 retail and is now only $199.  Probably one I would choose for grandma.  This will be amazingly soft, being cashmere and I love the colour.

I might choose this 100% Cashmere Waterweave Scarf in Merlot for one of the guys on my list.  This is $309 retail and now just $99.  I love the colour. Merlot reminds me of a wonderful soothing glass of wine.

Here’s a lovely Silk & Wool Popcorn Scarf Turquoise that was $106 retail and is now only $44.  This is 60% silk and 40% wool in a popcorn stitch pattern.  The turquoise colour is quite bright and would make this a soft, bright scarf for the winter.

This Hand Rolled Silk & Merino Wool Ombre Wrap Violet/Green is unusually pretty.  This was $225 retail and is now only $89.  I love how the violet, green and gold colours fade into each other.  This would be great for any time of year, but does make a great stocking stuffer.

Homesav Canada: Sale On Tegu, Innovative Eco Blocks

Homesav Canada: Sale On Tegu, Innovative Eco Blocks

Homesav Canada is offering Tegu innovative eco blocks at great sale prices. Offer is only valid until November 7th 2012 or while supplies last.

I have always had blocks of some kind in my home for children. I have found that out of all the toys, these seem to be one of the items that spark the most imagination and keep their interest focused for a longer time period. There is no end to what you can build or create, or games you can play with them. These blocks are handmade in Honduras with sustainable-harvested hardwoods and part of the sale goes towards helping create jobs for local employees.

All the sets look great, but I would probably get the Original Set – Tints that was $148 and is now $128. The blocks have magnets embedded safely in each piece which makes building a lot easier. This set includes 52 blocks in 4 shapes, 20 cubes, 16 long planks, 10 short planks and 6 jumbo planks.

These sets are available in different colour schemes as well as natural or mahogany, and being made of wood they will probably last a lifetime.

Shipping: Depends on order size and destination.

Homesav Canada: Great Sale On Natural Genuine Cowhide Rugs

Posted by on October 7, 2012 at 11:00 AM

Homesav Canada: Great Sale On Natural Genuine Cowhide Rugs
Homesav Canada is featuring a selection of 100% genuine cowhide rugs.  Offer is valid until October 11th 2012 or while supplies last.

I thought about this quite a bit before I decided to write about it.  I don’t normally agree with animal skins being used as coats and so on, but I also enjoy a good steak, so I was kind of being a hypocrite.

These rugs are quite beautiful and will last forever considering they are cowhide.

My favorite is probably this Kobe Cowhide Rug Normand that was $899 and is now $299. That’s a savings of 66% and this rug has the true brown and white cow hide.  It’s actually quite large at 7 feet long by 6 feet wide and would probably go with any room in the house.

I also like the intriguing look of this Kobe Cowhide Rug in Tri-Colour that was $899 and is now $299.  This would actually look great in my bedroom with all the beautiful colours.  These rugs are naturally stain-resistant, which is very important when my grandchildren are here with their juice and snacks.

Here’s a great one for a kitchen or breakfast nook.  This Kobe Cowhide Rug Salt and Pepper is just as it sounds, black and white.  This was $899 and is now $349.  This is also 7 feet long by 6 feet wide and actually looks quite soft.

All of these rugs are made in Canada, and remember that when ordering them, because they are natural, no two will look alike so they really are one of a kind rugs.

Shipping: Free for orders over $100.

Homesav Canada: Sale On Gourmet Cookware

Homesav Canada: Sale On Gourmet Cookware

Homesav Canada is offering cookware at great prices.  Everything from roasters, casserole dishes and skillets to complete cookware sets.  Offer is valid until September 19th 2012, or while supplies last.

I guess it is that time to think about a little less cooking outside and more inside.  This sale should help with all the different items available.

As far as the cookware sets available, I do rather like this Cool Kitchen 3 Mirror 11 pc set that was $590 and is now $379.  The set includes a 16 cm saucepan, an 18 cm cover casserole, a 26 cm cover casserole, a 24 cm cover sauté pan, an 18 cm steamer skillet with cover, a 20 cm skillet and a 28 cm skillet.  All pieces are 3 ply stainless steel with ergonomic handles.

The set above just about covers all the pots and pans, but what about roasters?  This Cool Kitchen Pro S/S Roaster is a perfect size for all dishes.  This was $124 and is now $64.  Not only is it a wonderful 12” X 14”, but it’s made of stainless steel with an aluminum plate making it great for baking, roasting or even broiling.  This pan is safe to use on a stove top element as well as safe for the dishwasher.

I also like to have a good wok around for those stir fry nights and this Cuistot Wok w/Cover that was $90 and is now $69 is a great size for all the ingredients I like to use. I tried one of those electric woks a long time ago, you know the one, it was Teflon lined so nothing would stick.  Not a great experience.  I think I’ll stick to the old fashion wok and enjoy my stir frys.  It just takes the right temperature, the right oils and lots of patience.

Homesav Canada has a some really cool artwork on sale this week.  Save up to 51% on the entire Poster Child Art collection for a limited time only.

Don’t be fooled by the name Poster Kids because these pieces of artwork are canvas prints on a wood frame.  This is a simple way to update any kid’s room, playroom or nursery.  I love this Jungle Animals piece that was $60 and is now just $29. I would put it in a playroom or a little boy’s bedroom.  I also love this Poko the Ladybug piece that was $20 and is now just $14.  It would look so cute in a little girl’s bedroom.

There is something for every person’s taste.  There are some pretty pastel pictures of ballerina items for a little girl’s room and there are items with bold bright colors as well.

Homesav Canada: Just In Time Sale On Unique Clocks

Posted by on September 2, 2012 at 12:00 PM

Homesav Canada: Just In Time Sale On Unique Clocks

Homesav Canada is selling a very unique, wide range of clocks for the wall, table, etc.  This is a final sale, items will arrive approximately 4 – 6 weeks after order and the sale ends on September 7th 2012.

I do like a unique clock that will match the décor of the room it’s in.  I also prefer a larger clock so it’s easy to see what time it is at a quick glance.  There’s nothing wrong with having a good conversation piece in your home as well.

This Pauline Clock that was $180 and is now $74 is just what I mean.  It would most certainly spark a conversation and would be fairly simple to see what time it is at a glance.  This is made from recycled, vintage or antique items and may show some imperfections for that reason.  I think this would make a wonderful kitchen clock.

Now this Hal clock that was $83 and is now $39 would definitely be visible.  This clock could pretty much go anywhere in the house as it is just a simple black and white.

If you’d like to have a little bit of a challenge, take a look at this Jumbled Wall clock that was $193 and is now $84.  This clock would be a great addition if you’re looking to start conversations as it clearly looks broken.  I do like the unique look of it, but I’m not sure if telling the correct time would be easy.

Here’s my favorite;  I just love these old fashion alarms clocks and this Liz Clock II that was $128 and is now $58 fits the description.  This would look absolutely wonderful on my night stand, though I’m not sure how loud it would be.

Keep in mind when you’re ordering, that all of these clocks require one AA battery, which is not included.

Homesav Canada: Sale On Going Underground Posters

Homesav Canada: Sale On Going Underground Posters

Homesav Canada is offering Going Underground posters at incredible discounts until August 30th 2012. These are prints that are hand designed in their New York studio. Free shipping on most items. Items are all final sale and will arrive in 3 – 5 weeks after order.

I had to share this because I thought these were quite unique and would look great in any living room or rec room. These prints are hand designed on heavy artist quality paper and inspired by the classic subway signs from the early 20th century.

I love this Toronto Classic that was $39 and is now $34, as I remember visiting Kensington Market many times. Mind you the signs are quite different now, but this would be a great piece to have for conversation. This is unframed, measuring 14” X 22” and I’m not sure if a frame would do it justice.

If you prefer, there is the Toronto Collection Classic that was $91 and is now $59. These prints feature all the notable stops from Toronto’s early subway system.

There is also the Vancouver Collection Classic that was $91 and is now $59. These prints show many of the stops from the Vancouver transit system.

Of course there is prints from all over, like Paris, London, Chicago, Spain, Rome, etc., but I prefer the Canadian prints.

I really like this Organic Lines, it reminds me of a funky picture frame… but instead it is just framing your wall. It would look awesome against a darker wall. When I have my own place I am going to paint a feature wall and then get a sweet wall decal like this for it. Originally $70 this decal is on sale for $44.

Beyond The Rack: Shop All Weekend And Only Pay Shipping Once

Beyond The Rack: Shop All Weekend And Only Pay Shipping Once

Beyond The Rack is allowing shopping all weekend and pay shipping only once.  Pay shipping on your first order and any other orders will have free shipping until August 20th 2012.

There are a lot of sales this weekend, like the games and educational toys for children by Melissa & Doug, & T.S. Shure.  This wooden pizza was $30 and is now $15. This would be great for kids, it seems so real with six pizza slices, a cutter, spatula and over 50 toppings to play with.  The pizza even makes a slicing sound when cut.

This splendid pearls section has quite the selection.  I like this 8-9mm freshwater pearl necklance in black that was $235 and is now $64.99.  I love the look of freshwater pearls and they will actually match a set of earings I already have.

How about the Best of career dresses with this stunning little Pink Tartan, Leonie dress in orange that was $425 and is now $199.99.  This includes an inner slip just in case you are concerned about the amount of see-through areas.  I love the simple but sleek look to this and the colour is beautiful.

A new handbag might be in order for the fall and there happens to be Luxury handbags on sale.  Now these are a tad expensive, but this Crosby XL shoulder bag in persimmon that was $400 and is now $359.99 matches the dress I mentioned above perfectly.

You might want some accessories like a bracelet from the Jewelry blowout from B&B Couture. I thought this Multi strand braided bracelet in gold that was $12 and is now $6.99.  This is also available in black, silver and white for the same price.

We have to mention the beauty supplies and essentials on sale.  I would definitely look at these Effet 3D lip gloss in #24 that were $16 and are now $7.99.  There are 5 shades available.  You always need a good eyeliner, like this Von Berg eyeliner pencil in Riviera nude that was $15 and is now $6.99.

Shipping: One charge of $11.95 on first purchase this weekend.
