Staples Canada: La Z Boy Ellison Managers High Back Center Pivot Chair | Was $275 Now $125

This is one sweet deal! Staples currently has their La-Z-Boy Ellison Manager’s High-Back Center Pivot Chair on sale for $124.54 – it used to cost $274.54! That’s $150 off the retail price! You’ll also qualify for free shipping!

Click here to check out this deal @ Staples.ca now

The La-Z-Boy Ellison Manager’s High-Back Center Pivot Chair looks so comfortable that I wish I was sitting in it right now. Sure, my black leather office chair is very nice, and it’s quite convenient, but you just can’t compete with an office chair that was made by La-Z-Boy! They’re especially known for their recliners (thus, the famous term La-Z-Boy is used commonly, much like the way people will call tissue paper Kleenex, even when it’s a generic brand). Yes, La-Z-Boy has plenty of brand familiarity, and a great reputation, too.

This is a very good deal at Staples. This La-Z-Boy Ellison Manager’s High-Back Center Pivot Chair is a high end product, and I’d be very surprised if these comfortable-looking chairs were still in-stock tomorrow! If you’re looking for the perfect replacement for your office chair, or if you want to spoil yourself and get a luxury piece of furniture without breaking the bank, then I highly suggest that you check out this deal!

If you were to purchase a similar La-Z-Boy Manager’s Chair at Bizchair, it would cost you $501.99. I’ve included a brief review of a similar La-Z-Boy manager’s chair from a satisfied Staples customer below:

Husband was having back problems from sitting in his chair from a certain cheap store. So I went to staples and bought him this. First he complained that I spent this much on a chair, however he absolutely loves it! He’s in his office chair 8-10 hours a day and has not had a single pain since I bought him this chair!

This deal expires on October 28th, but I’ll be shocked if this La-Z-Boy Ellison Manager’s High-Back Center Pivot Chair remains in stock until then. I hope you all have a great day today!

Future Shop Canada: Monarch L-Shape Desk With Built-In Storage Space | Was $380 Now $160 (EXPIRED)

Future Shop Canada: Monarch L Shape Desk With Built In Storage Space | Was $380 Now $160 (EXPIRED)

Future Shop is having another great limited-time sale, and today it’s for a Monarch L-Shape Desk With Built-In Storage Space. Normally retailing for $379.99, you can now purchase this Monarch L-Shape Desk With Built-In Storage Space for $159.99 – you’re saving $220 from the regular price! Plus, you’ll also qualify for free shipping!

This Monarch L-Shape Desk With Built-In Storage Space has a nice white finish, is made with hollow-core material and tempered glass. It has a great contemporary design that can easily mesh with a wide range of different décors, and its shelving can be put on the left or right side – whatever works best for your workspace. Best of all, the L-shaped design of this desk provides owners with a large work area that they can use effectively.

If I had the space for this Monarch L-Shape Desk With Built-In Storage Space in my condo, I would have quickly purchased this before I even wrote this article. Unfortunately, we just don’t have the room at this time, but it looks like a great desk that can fit plenty of things. Effective storage solutions are always important when you feel like you’re running out of room constantly, so that’s why I was interested in this desk. The Monarch L-Shape Desk With Built-In Storage Space also looks like a comfortable desk to do your work on – something that’s very important for freelancers like myself.

Amazon’s American website is currently selling a similar desk for $298.33 US. Listed below is a brief review of this Monarch L-Shape Desk With Built-In Storage Space from a satisfied Amazon customer:

This is not a high quality material, so if you’re looking for real wood, this is not for you. But if you’re like me and don’t care, you’ll love it. It’s easy to put together. I did it by myself (I’m a 30 year old female). It would be helpful if you had a drill or power screwdriver but I didn’t and it was fine. It did take a couple of hours but it wasn’t complicated at all.

This deal expires tonight before midnight, so if you want to take advantage of this deal and save a fair amount of money on this Monarch L-Shape Desk With Built-In Storage Space, then you should check this out before it’s too late. I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend, Bargainmoosers!

Staples Canada: Staples High Back Bonded Manager Chair | Was $224 Now $124

Staples Canada: Staples High Back Bonded Manager Chair | Was $224 Now $124

Hey there, Bargainmoosers – Staples is currently having a pretty sweet sale on their High Back Bonded Manager Chair until October the 14th, which should entice any one with a home office that’s looking for a new chair. The regular price of this Staples High Back Bonded Manager Chair is $223.34, but you can now get it for $123.34! You’re saving $100 with this deal. Plus, you’ll also qualify for free shipping with your order!

Featuring comfy padded arm rests, a seat tilt and lock control, and bonded leather on the seat, back, and arms of the chair, this Staples High Back Bonded Manager Chair looks like it is a great choice for those that want the perfect chair for their office.

Since I work from my home office on a regular basis, I know how important comfort is – especially when I need to log in a high number of hours during each work day. I now have a similar manager chair in my home office, and the difference is incredible – I previously used older office chairs, and they just didn’t cut it after some time. I would feel incredibly sore, and it made it tougher for me to have the desire to put in those extra hours of freelance work. Thankfully, I can now work while staying comfortable with my manager chair.

If you were to buy a similar manager chair from Amazon, it would cost you $242.27. I’ve included a great review of this Staples High Back Bonded Manager Chair from a satisfied Staples customer below:

Purchased this chair for my graduate studies and so far it’s fantastic (and I spend a lot of time sitting in it!!). Very comfortable and also has great support. It was a bit more firm than I had expected but I actually like that about it. The padded arm rests are also great. It moves up and down smoothly and has an adjustable tilting function. It was fairly easy to put together with simple instructions. Very nice looking and even appears like real leather! Nothing I would complain about. Would definitely recommend to others.

I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend, my fellow Bargainmoosers!

Staples Canada: Business Tools Event With Up To 50% Off

Posted by on May 9, 2014 at 12:00 PM

Staples Canada: Business Tools Event With Up To 50% Off

If you are in need of tools for your business (and really, who isn’t?), Staples has the deal for you. Get up to 50% off during their big business tools event.

While I was originally going to write about the 40% off writing instruments events, I couldn’t open any links, so I think that event might only be in-store. The business tools event, however, which gives you up to 50% off, is definitely online. I work from home every day and while my computer and telephone are the most important tools in my business, I always seem to be missing other things, and I think I see a few I’d like to get from Staples today.

First off – tape! Do you think I can ever find tape when I need it? No! And I do need it quite a bit. A tape dispenser would be the perfect addition to my desk and this Scotch stiletto shoe tape dispenser adds to the sexy vibe of my home office. It would also look great on anyone’s office desk, as it tells others something about you. Does Mom have a shoe fetish? She’d probably fancy one of these rather than shoes she didn’t pick out herself. Get it for only $11.02, was $14.70.

As a scrapbooker, I did have my own paper trimmer, but my kids stole it and now it doesn’t work quite right. I definitely need a new one and I’d like one they can’t really lift, like this X-ACTO 12″ premium wood laser trimmer. It was $69.99, now $41.99.

Shipping is free on orders of $45, so during this sale you could really fill up your basket (without emptying your wallet).

Best Buy Canada: Small Office Sale

Posted by on March 28, 2014 at 2:00 PM

Best Buy Canada: Small Office Sale

Best Buy is having a home office/small office sale with discounts on a number of items. Note that all discounted prices appear in your cart, so not to worry if you see regular prices while shopping.

The first sale that caught my eye was that with the purchase of any stapler, you’ll get a free Sharpie. Sharpies are not the cheapest type of markers/pens, so this is a nice little bonus.

If you need ink or toner, you can get 20% off Lexmark, Brother or Epson multi-packs.

Get 40% off Quartet planners, boards and presentation materials. I particularly like this 17×23 dry erase mini board with cleaner and markers. It is regularly $39.99, but comes down to $23.99 in the cart.

It looks like certain items that are already on sale will not be discounted in the cart, but some of them are already really well priced.

Shipping is free on orders over $20, which is a good low threshold for  a sale like this.

Staples Canada: 50% Off Office Leather Guest Chair – Now $70

Posted by on September 13, 2013 at 1:00 PM

Staples Canada: 50% Off Office Leather Guest Chair Now $70

Get 50% off the Office Star Leather Guest Chair in black for visiting clients, prospective clients, and family. Originally $139.96, it is now on sale for $69.98.

The chair has a contoured seat and back, a heavy-duty sled base for support, and is made of genuine leather. It comes with a five year limited warranty. The reviews on this chair are a bit mixed. Many people listed its pros as being sturdy, having an attractive design, being easy to assemble, and being comfortable. Yet others found the chair uncomfortable and unstable. I think individual preference probably plays a large part in this kind of rating system.

The chair qualifies for free shipping. Delivery generally takes about three business days.

6 Ways To Organize Your Home Office With Recycled Items

6 Ways To Organize Your Home Office With Recycled Items

Organizing your home, especially your office, can be a daunting task. My office is stacked with books, magazines and various paperwork and although I’ve tried to keep it organized, I have no idea where anything is. I’m going to use some of these great tips to organize my office with items I’m going to recycle from my own home.

Starting with the most complex, this office has reused pallets for shelves on the wall in the office. TreeHugger showcases this amazing design on their blog (above).

6 Ways To Organize Your Home Office With Recycled Items

Nothing can be easier than this. Use old cereal and other food boxes (above)  to organize the inside of your desk. Simply cut off the bottoms and tops and put in your supplies. Real Simple!

6 Ways To Organize Your Home Office With Recycled Items

If you go on frequent (or infrequent) vacations and have a ton of vacation memories and nowhere to put them, consider making these DIY travel keepsakes. Made out of wooden boxes, paint and stencils, these are super easy, as Martha Stewart says (above).

6 Ways To Organize Your Home Office With Recycled Items

These DIY steampunk-type crates (above) for filing are amazing and are on my list of things to do! They look like they might be easy to make, but there are numerous but well-worth it steps. Check it out at DIYDiva.

6 Ways To Organize Your Home Office With Recycled Items

It will take you five minutes to do this cute, but functional DIY project. Simply save a jar from pickles or pasta sauce, find a toy or other item that you have kitschy  love for, spray paint it, then glue it on top of the jar, just like Meredith and the New Yorkie did (above).

6 Ways To Organize Your Home Office With Recycled Items

This is one idea I can get behind, because I’ve already done it and find it fun, functional and cute. Each one of my family members has their own clipboard, decorated in paper that I found was most suited to them. Whenever I find loose papers around the house, I clip them directly to the clipboard of who they belong to. This craft (above) was mega easy, right Simply Kierste?

Bargainmoosers, do you have fun, easy and unique ways to recycle items to organize your home office? Let me know in the comments below!

Chapters Canada: 70% Off Retro Task Lamps – Now $30

Posted by on April 30, 2013 at 4:00 PM

Chapters Canada: 70% Off Retro Task Lamps Now $30

I have been looking for a new desk lamp for awhile that wouldn’t cost me a fortune and I found this. Right now Chapters Canada has 70% off this Retro Task Lamp in either black or white. Originally $99.50, the lamp is on sale for $30.

I bought this lamp for $45, sigh. But one never knows how quickly lamps are going to sell out at Chapters!

Both colours are still in stock online. The size is 12” L x 18” W x 22” H. There aren’t any reviews yet – but the lamp ranks 4/5 stars with several ratings. I own the lamp in white and it is a good solid lamp, and larger than I had expected. I expect it to last pretty much forever – I can’t see what could possibly ruin this lamp unless the electrical shorted in it or something. It is hefty! The only thing I don’t like about it is that the on/off switch is on the cord not the base or the head itself. It is so annoying to find the switch on the cord – I want my cords hidden!

I am tempted to buy a second lamp at this price so I can have a matching set!

This item is NOT eligible for free shipping because it is pretty heavy – but it is eligible for free shipping to your local store which is what I did. It just means you need to pick it up at your local Chapters when it comes in, that is all!

Staples Canada: Save Up To 40% On Storage & Organization Solutions

Staples Canada has a great event happening that will help you get more organized.  Save up to 40% off storage and organization solutions for a limited time only.

There are 6 different categories to choose from:

One of my new year’s resolutions this year was to get my house more organized.  You don’t need to have a home office to take advantage of this event because they have plenty of items that would be good all over the house.

For example, I love this multi-pocket magazine holder, but I would use it in my kitchen for recipes and cookbooks.  It now 40% off and is just $16.16.  I also like this Gracious Living 3 drawer desk organizer that is 40% off and just $7.92.  I would use it for my kids coloring items such as markers and crayons in their play area.

Although the event date states that deals will be over January 22nd, if you look closely, some of the deals will be available a bit longer than that.

Chapters Canada: 50% off Lab Work – Now $10

Chapters Canada: 50% off Lab Work Now $10

I just had to blog about this because I LOVE IT!! Lab Work is this cool set of 3 test tubes on a stand. You use it for organizing small desk supplies! It comes with pushpins, paper clips and butterfly clips all kept within reach by a sleek metal frame. Save 50% and get this cute little office organizer at Chapters Canada for only $10!

I totally went bonkers over this the first time I saw it – but it was sold out then! It is so superbly awesome for any science geek – for goodness sake it uses test tubes!! That alone elevates this item to the plane of awesome. As a student I would earn a ton of geek-cred just for having this on my desk – serious serious geek cred. Being a female I need all the geek cred I can get because girl geeks are seriously underestimated in their geekiness.

Of course for a Halloween trick next year I can always combine yellow food colour and water in one, and red food colouring, water, and a little starch to thicken in one of the other ones. Woohoo! Always fun to freak people out.

Chapters Canada is offering the Indigo Desk Lamp (only in black) for 50% off the original price of $99.50. The lamp is on sale for $49.75. After using the chapters coupon code APRIL2012 you can get the lamp for only $44.75.

I have actually been looking for a retro styled lamp like this for a while. I do the majority of my computing at a desk but don’t have a lot of space. This lamp would be perfect because it has a small/thin base and it has good reach. That way I could manoeuvre it into whatever position I need.

The lamp has a 4/5 star rating with 11 reviews. It is a pretty good price for a quality desk lamp.

Wagjag Canada has teamed up with 123inkcartridges.ca to bring you two deals on paper shredders:

  • Option 1: $24 for a 5-Sheet Strip Cut Paper Shredder (worth $49)
  • Option 2: $45 for a 12-Sheet Cross Cut Paper Shredder (Worth $100)

This does not include a flat rate shipping fee of $4.95, or get it shipped for free on orders of $49 or more.

I found this deal in Edmonton, so if you get redirected just check out the side deals there.

  • Limit 3 vouchers per person
  • Does not include tax.
  • Redeem online

The shredders come with a plastic waste basket. They have an auto-start function and hassle-free disposal too. Around tax time for some reason I start thinking of shredders. It is important to shred confidential paperwork or anything that could lead to identity theft: a growing problem in Canada.
