Henry’s Canada: Panasonic Lumix FZ200 Was $530 | Now $400 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

Henrys Canada: Panasonic Lumix FZ200 Was $530 | Now $400 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

There are quite a few stores out there having days of deals sales in anticipation of the Christmas rush. Henry’s is one of those stores and today’s deal is sweet! Get $153.02 off the Panasonic FZ200 12MP camera with a 16 GB card. Originally $553.01, and now $399.99, you’ll also get free shipping.

If you’ve got someone’s wish list and on it is a new camera, this is an inexpensive way to fulfill that wish. My son wants a camera, although I think he is just a tad too young for it. I think he would treat it nicely, but I worry about his brothers fooling around with it if he doesn’t put it away. I may reconsider later today and hope the deal is still on, as this is the right price point that I’d like to spend on his gift.

I can let you know all the nitty gritty about this camera, which includes 12.1MP, 12GB SDHC card, 24x optical zoom, 12fps burst rate, full 1080/60p HD video and F2.8 aperture across entire zoom range.

If none of that really means anything to you, you can check out some of the reviews, I found on Amazon:

This camera is just as advertised ! Takes fantastic photos with virtually no lag time. My husband loves his Xmas gift!

This model has a nice long lens and is relatively light.

Of course I also shopped around, to ensure that this is the best deal out there and found that it was. Amazon sells this camera for $523; Vistek sells it for $529 and London Drugs sells it for $529.

I bought my newest camera from Henry’s and found the customer service to be great. I actually have to take mine back in as it is having a few issues, but that could be user error. I’m hoping the Henry’s associates will help me out.

I wouldn’t wait too long, as there are limited amounts of this camera available.

Logitech C615 HD Webcam Only $39.50 @ Henrys (+ Shipping or Free Collection)

Posted by on September 20, 2014 at 2:26 PM

Logitech C615 HD Webcam Only $39.50 @ Henrys (+ Shipping or Free Collection)

Need a new webcam? There’s a deal happening at Henry’s now which you might want to take advantage of, it’s both online and in-store. You can pick up one of the Logitech C615 HD Webcams which were $90, they’re now down to only $39.50, that’s a saving of more than $50.

Quick Spec

  • Full HD 1080p Video
  • HD 720p video calls
  • 8 MP Snapshots

Shipping Facts

First of all, I need to explain the shipping versus collection aspect of this deal. If you click the link above and order this item on its own, for shipping to your home, you’re going to pay a $9.95 shipping fee which is a little steep. The final price of the webcam will be around $50 plus taxes. However, you can order it online and collect it for free at a store near you – this could be a handy feature and it saves you ten bucks in shipping fees. The third option is to make your order up to $99 or more – then you will get free shipping. Consider that!

Price Comparing

As for a price comparison with other Canadian online retailers, this is the best price I can find anywhere! Most stores such as Staples, Walmart and Canada computers have the Logitech C615 HD Webcam for around $80. The closest I can find in price to the Henrys price above is $57.38 and free shipping from DirectCanada. So, if you’re able to collect it at your local Henrys store or make your online order up to the $100 value for free shipping, then the $40 price tag on the C615 is really great, compared to these other stores. Don’t buy this camera from Office Depot… it’s $249 there!!

Opinion

The glass on my webcam recently cracked and I needed to order a new one. I’ve always been a fan of Logitech devices anyway, so I switched from Microsoft over to a Logitech which is pretty similar to the one above, I have the C920. I believe it’s a slightly higher spec than the C615, but it’s quite similar. I’m very happy with mine! I found some consumer reviews of the C615 on Newegg.ca, and it has 77% five star ratings. Here’s a quick example:

Small, easy to use, decent picture, does what I need it to do.

That sounds just about right!!

Henry’s Canada Coupon Code: $10 Off $50

Posted by on July 10, 2014 at 11:00 AM

Henrys Canada Coupon Code: $10 Off $50

I don’t know if this is a new thing, but Henry’s has a promo code out that is good until the end of today. You’ll get $10 off of your $50 purchase. I have not seen coupon codes for them ever before, so this is a pretty sweet deal.

Click here to shop @ Henrys.com now

  • Coupon Code: THXJULY14WEB
  • Discount: $10 off $50
  • Expiry: 10th July 2014

Your first thought might be that Henry’s is a camera store, thus a place where you might spend way over $50. I can attest to your feelings as I recently spent over $900 at Henry’s buying myself a new Nikon camera. But, my camera needs a few things, namely lenses and other fun accessories. While I wouldn’t call myself a pro by any means, I also wouldn’t call myself the average person who takes photos. I did a year of photojournalism classes and I really believe have a slight talent for composition. I never toot my own horn, but I really am in love with many of the photos I’ve taken. This is why I spend a few $$ on a good camera. It really pains me to see people with a new baby with blurry photos. What are those kids going to think when they grow up and there are only blurry or sub-par newborn photos of them? Especially with technology the way it is now, there is no excuse!

So, one accessory for my camera that I absolutely must get, which I just found out about when I bought my camera was this Nikon WU-1A wireless mobile adapter. For use with Nikon cameras (like the one I just blogged about from The Source), you can transfer or upload your photos wirelessly. This means that if you are out with your camera and get that awesome shot of your kid scoring the goal, you can upload it to your social media immediately, rather than a) waiting until you get home to share the news or b) using your smartphone to take the shot, which is definitely not going to be as good as the shot from your Nikon camera. As I said in the last post, I’m tired of taking all of my electronic devices with me just to get “the shot”. Now I can get my photo, video and upload it with one device. This item is $69.99, but once I added it to the cart and added the coupon, the price came down $10 to $59.99. I’m happy I waited and am totally getting this for myself.

Shipping is free once you’ve spent $99, so you might want to try to get up to that threshold and save a few more dollars.

Henry’s Canada: Samsung NX2000 with Galaxy Tab 3 Bundle Now $480

Posted by on May 27, 2014 at 10:00 PM

Henrys Canada: Samsung NX2000 with Galaxy Tab 3 Bundle Now $480

Henry’s Canada has bundled together the Samsung NX2000 with the Galaxy Tab 3, 7 inch (white). Originally $900.04, the bundle is now on sale for $479.99 and worth every penny.

To clarify, the Samsung NX2000 Smart Camera in this bundle comes with the 20-50mm lens.

So I did some price comparing. Walmart.ca has the exact same bundle on sale for $548. This bundle is also at Future Shop Canada for $599.99, but it is sold out. I didn’t find the bundle at Amazon.ca, but I did find the Samsung NX2000 in white which costs $381.22 just by itself.

This camera is the bomb. It packs amazing quality in such a small package. It features the ability to interchange lenses and comes with a 20-50mm F/3.5-5.6 ED lens. It is pretty much like a DSLR that is built for transportation.

The camera features many great features including a 20.3MP sensor, 3.7″ touch screen, built in wi-fi and an external flash. You can also record movies with your camera so it is all you need to capture life in high quality. Together with the Samsung Galaxy 3 – a fantastic little tablet great for your everyday needs, this bundle is perfect.

You will receive free shipping on orders of $99 or more at Henry’s.

Henry’s Canada: Nikon D5100 Kit Only $600

Posted by on May 23, 2014 at 5:00 PM

Henrys Canada: Nikon D5100 Kit Only $600

If you are in the market for an all-in-one starter kit on a DSLR, Henry’s has a fantastic deal right now. Get the Nikon D5100 with two lenses for only $599.99, with a regular price of $929.93.

To put this deal in perspective, I found the camera with an average selling price of $500 – $520. The second DX VR 55-200 f/4-5.6G IF-ED lens sells for a minimum of $200 and up. This means if you bought these two items separately, even on sale, you’d spend a minimum of $700. So while it isn’t quite as high as the listed regular price of $929, you are still saving $100.

I have quite an aged Nikon camera, so I need a new one and have been waiting for a deal. I love having the 55-200 lens and love that it’s included in this deal. My 55-200 lens broke a while back; it wasn’t worth the repair cost and I feel lost without it. I used that lens quite a bit, with my children in sports, plays, etc. The regular lens just doesn’t cut it for close-up photos when you can’t get up close. When I enquired about buying a new lens, the sale associate actually suggested just spending a few hundred more dollars on a new camera as there are so many new features like vibration reduction. Also, mine can’t do HD movies like this one, which gets rid of the need for a video camera.

I’ve noticed an added bonus when you purchase this kit, which is a free tripod (worth $79.99) and free gadget bag (worth $54.99)! You need to add both to your cart along with the camera. That truly makes this quite the great deal.

Shipping is free when you spend $99 at Henry’s, so this camera kit will get to you for free.

Henry’s Canada: Save Up To $1000 On Nikon Lenses

Posted by on March 29, 2014 at 3:00 PM

Henrys Canada: Save Up To $1000 On Nikon Lenses

Henry’s is having a sale on Nikon lenses and you can enjoy some big savings – as much as $1000 on the pricier lenses.

I am in the market for a new Nikon DSLR, so I’ve been watching the sales. One item I can’t live without with my camera is a telephoto lens. With my boys in sports, a telephoto lens helps me capture that perfect shot – the determination on their face, the speed of their feet, the perfect kick. But, lenses can be mega expensive, so a sale is must-have before you put down your hard-earned money on an item that could be seen as frivolous or not necessary (although it is to me!).

I could save $100 on this Nikon AF-S DX 55-300MM VR 4.5-5.6G ED 2197. Did you get all that? Basically, this is a super telephoto lens, with vibration reduction and so much more. The reviewers give it a 4.8 out of 5, which is really good. It was $430.01, now $329.99.

If you are a professional and want the big guns, this Nikon AF-S 600MM 4.0 VR II ED 2173 is $1000 off! Regularly $10,800.08, you’ll pay just $9,799.99 instead.

If you spend over $99, and with this sale, you most likely will, you’ll get free shipping too.

Bargainmoose Contest: Win a Cool Time-Lapse Video Camera from Brinno!

Bargainmoose Contest: Win a Cool Time Lapse Video Camera from Brinno!

*** Expired, winner was Mooser Su-Ann! ***

We’ve got an exciting Bargainmoose contest starting today. The main prize is a TLC200 Pro Time Lapse Camera from Brinno,  which you can purchase from Henry’s Camera, and it’s worth $319.99. The camera sounds like really good fun – it can record a certain amount of shots in a custom period, from two shots a second to one every 24 hours. This is the kind of thing I’d love to have to record a video of my back yard filling up with snow in the winter.

If you’d like to win this prize, please subscribe to the Bargainmoose daily email updates – everyone on the mailing list will be entered to win the contest.

For bonus contest entries:

  • Mention this contest on your Facebook wall (include @Bargainmoose, making sure you like our page there)
  • Tweet out a link to this contest on Twitter (including @bargainmoose too, following us too)
  • Leave a comment below saying what you would make a video of, if you won this camera

Our author Shawn has had a bit of fun with the camera and has a few words to say about it:

I got the Brinno TLC200 Pro from our good friends at Henry’s a few weeks ago and have played around with it a couple of times since then. It is a very neat, extremely niche little rig. All it does is take time lapse video. If you need something to do time lapse stuff, I highly suggest picking this up.

When I first heard I was getting this I immediately went online to check it out. I figured it was going to be a $30 plastic camera with terrible software and a poor build quality. I was mistaken. The Brinno TLC200 Pro is selling for $319.99 and, if you want to do some time lapse stuff, it is absolutely worth it. The “Pro” in the camera’s name isn’t just a marketing thing, it really indicates that this is a piece of pro gear.

This is an HDR (High Dynamic Range) Time Lapse camera. It has a 1.3 megapixel camera and interchangeable lenses. The lens pivots up and down so you can adjust your angle. Another great feature is that the output is actually a video file, not a bunch of pictures that you need to then go and stick together. The unit is powered by four AA batteries or a micro USB cable. It comes with a 4GB SD card.

But you can read about all that stuff on the website. What you really want to know is how it works. Well, it works very well. I’m not a camera guy so I didn’t really adjust any settings. I’m sure if you took the time to figure it out you could make a far better video than I did. From the unboxing phase to having it set up and running, only took me about five minutes. The interface is very self-explanatory so you can have it running right away. The camera will also run forever on the four batteries. On the most power intensive setting, it lasts about a day but as you change settings, you can get weeks out of this thing.

You can see a video made by Shawn at the bottom of this post.

Note about the prize: The camera was donated to Bargainmoose by Brinno, and Shawn has used it in order to write the above review and to set up this contest. We’ll be forwarding the Brinno camera on to the contest winner (colour may avary from that in the image above).

Rules:

  • Contest ends 12th September 2013
  • Canadian entrants only
  • One entry method per household

Henry’s Canada School of Imaging: 15% Off All Courses

Posted by on July 6, 2013 at 7:30 PM

Henrys Canada School of Imaging: 15% Off All Courses

Henry’s Canada runs a ‘School of Imaging’ which teaches courses all about using your camera. This month they are offering 15% off all courses, both online and in store.

This offer excludes Private Training and Photography Adventure Tours.

It is a shame they don’t have any classes near me because I would love to take some photography classes. I love my DSLR camera and learning how to use it really improves my image quality. I like how the School of Imaging has different classes for different cameras. I have a Sony and it is very different than a Nikon or a Canon, so it is pretty cool that they divide their courses up based on camera type. They also have courses to teach you how to do portraits, use point and shoot cameras, and other things!

Most of the workshops are in Ontario; however, there are some other locations like Halifax and Winnipeg.

Henrys Canada: Point and Shoot Camera & Memory Sale & Free Shipping on Orders over $99.99 (Normally $349.99)

What happens when two sales get together? Awesome deals! What happens when two sales love each other very, very much? Ask your parents.

DOUBLE SALES!

Let’s talk about the shipping deal first. It doesn’t seem like that good of a deal but it really is. If you’re a pro or prosumer then you know that dropping over $100 on CF cards or a lower end flash or some other accessory isn’t hard. Sometimes spending $350 or more on those things can be difficult. Only having to hit that $100 mark is pretty sweet. I have no knowledge of this but it almost seems like they are trying the new shipping policy to see if it is profitable.

And now for some of the deals:

That’s the sale folks! Take advantage of a double deal here and stock up on your photo stuff!
