6 Homemade Halloween Decorations that are Practically Free

6 Homemade Halloween Decorations that are Practically Free

Halloween is one of my favourite holidays to celebrate, partly because it is a lot of fun to decorate my house inside and out.  I seem to buy new decorations every single year and my husband has finally put his foot down this year and gave me a budget.  Being the crafty, savings-type person I am, I decided instead of buying new things this year, I am going to make the decorations myself.  Not only will this save us money, but my kids can join in the fun and make some scary and spooky decorations as well.

I hit up some great websites to see if I could find some DIY decorations and was shocked at how many awesome ideas are out there.  Here are a few of the great inexpensive Halloween decoration I found online, that you can make yourself. Some of them are creepy, some of them are kid friendly but all of them are perfect for this holiday.

1. Mummy Doors

6 Homemade Halloween Decorations that are Practically Free

This idea from Keeping It Simple is such a fun idea for the whole family to do.  Instead of buying the supplies like they suggest, I suggest you use toilet paper and make your own mummy eyes out of cardboard.

2. Milk Jug Ghosts

6 Homemade Halloween Decorations that are Practically Free

I have a family of four so we go through a lot of milk jugs and usually just recycle them.  This is a great way to recycle them in a different way. The easy directions are on Eighteen25 so you can make your own.

3. Cardboard Cutouts

6 Homemade Halloween Decorations that are Practically Free

This is definitely a creepy decoration but I love it!  Just make some cardboard cutouts in the shape of people, paint them black and cut out the eyes. I found this at Brastwurst Tumblr and it would be perfect for a party.

4. Spider

6 Homemade Halloween Decorations that are Practically Free

With this DIY craft, you can use some items around the house to create a huge spider for the inside or the outside of your house. You can make it fun or scary.  All of the directions for this spider are posted on Listotic.

5. Glowing Eyes

6 Homemade Halloween Decorations that are Practically Free

This has to be the cheapest and easiest craft idea.  I can’t believe I have never thought of this before. Just take a toilet paper roll and cut out different eyes and stick a dollar store glow stick in it to hang outside. These perfect decorations are from Her Campus.

6. Frankenstein Cans

6 Homemade Halloween Decorations that are Practically Free

This is another fun craft to do with your recycling at home. Paint some cans green and black and add some wine corks and googly eyes and you will have your very own Frankensteins for Halloween. You can find this idea at Brew My Tea.

What homemade Halloween decorations have you made in the past Moosers?

Happy Halloween!

Halloween Coupon Codes Roundup

Halloween Coupon Codes Roundup

At the beginning of the month, we did a roundup of the great Halloween costume couponsbut there is so much more to save on at Halloween time than just costumes.  Most companies put out special coupon codes in honour of different holidays even if they sell nothing remotely close to what the holiday is about.  For example, a lot of airlines put out coupons for deals on travel for Halloween even though it is not really a holiday where people will do travelling.  The way I look at it, I will take advantage of those discounts no matter the reason behind them.

Since Halloween is almost a week away now, there are a lot of Halloween themed promo codes popping up to take advantage of, and we want to share some of them with you in this Halloween Coupon Code Roundup.

Teleflora - Use the promo code AFTREAT to get 15% off all Halloween merchandise until October 31st.

Aartech Canada- Save 5% on your order of $300 or more with the coupon BOO until October 31st.

Joe Fresh- Use either TREAT10, TREAT20, or TREAT60 to get a voucher fro future purchases until October 26th.

Wordans - You can use the coupon HALLOWEEN20 to save yourself 20% on your entire order for a limited time only.

Ardene- The coupon code ARDENEHALLOWEEN will save you 20% on all orders of $100 or more until October 31st.

KidoodleGet two months of free online children’s television with code SPOOKY.

LeapFrog Canada- The coupon CANDY will get you free shipping and $15 off orders of $50 or more until October 24th.

1800Flowers.ca - The coupon HALLOWEEN20 will save you 20% on all Halloween items until October 31st.

Encore CouponGet $5 off Halloween fonts with this coupon HLWNFONT for a limited time only.

Flat Iron Experts – Get 20% off all orders over $100 with code HALLO2014.

As you can see, we have a pretty large variety of Halloween coupon codes posted on the Bargainmoose coupon forum and this is just a small fraction of them. The closer we get to Halloween, the more fun coupons like these ones you will see joining the forum.  You don’t have to actually buy Halloween items to save for this holiday.

Amazon Canada: 6-12 Months Green Lantern Costume Just $5 *HOT*

Posted by on October 21, 2014 at 1:42 PM

Amazon Canada: 6 12 Months Green Lantern Costume Just $5 *HOT*

Amazon Canada has a really hot deal on this Justice League Green Lantern Romper Costume for six to twelve month old children. Originally $29.99, the costume is on sale for $5.14!

Seriously! It is nine days before Halloween and you still have time to get a costume shipped in to you from Amazon Canada. This is the perfect deal if you have a young child who needs a costume for Halloween! You are saving 83% on this cute little officially licensed super hero costume. The romper style costume opens from the bottom for easy diaper changes (yay!). There is also an infant version but it is far more expensive ($25) and sold out.

There are really good reviews for this costume on Amazon.com. One reviewer said:

The costume is pretty well made, soft and from our little guys smiles I believe, comfortable. It has gone through the wash and came out okay. The buttons snap together easy and hold tight. The size is on the upper level of the age range ie 6-12 is a true 12 and not a 6. Very happy with the purchase.

Green Lantern is a cool dude, and they are going to be releasing another Green Lantern movie when your kid, who wears this now, is nearly old enough to see the movie. They are estimating the next Green Lantern movie will come out in 2020!

Now, this costume qualifies for free shipping on its own if you have a Prime account. You can easily sign up for a one-month trial of Family Prime and get this costume shipped to you for free. There is also a six-month free trial of Student Prime you can sign up for as well and then get this shipped free of charge. If you do not have a Prime account and have already exhausted both free trials, then you can get free shipping on orders of $25 or more. Shipping under that will only cost you a few dollars if my estimations are correct ($2.99 base cost + $1.49 per lb.).

Quantities are limited and selling out quickly! Get yours while you can. Even if the product goes out of stock you can still buy it from Amazon; however, you might not get it in time for Halloween unless they restock it quickly.

Walmart Canada: 50% Off 400W Fog Machine – Now $14.50

Posted by on October 21, 2014 at 1:30 PM

Walmart Canada: 50% Off 400W Fog Machine Now $14.50

Walmart Canada has a 400W fog machine just perfect for Halloween on sale for $14.50 from $29 with free shipping.

Oh, the many things you can use a fog machine for. The best, of course, is to place it near your front entrance and obscure the door through a pillar of fog. Then, have something triggered via motion sensor that pops out of the fog when someone walks up to your house to Trick or Treat. It will scare them senseless!

The fog machine comes with a wireless control set (transmitter, receiver), a handle, and two screws for mounting your fog machine. It does not come with fog juice; you will have to buy that separately. This is a great little unit at a cheap price for increasing your scares or using as decor. Here is what one reviewer said:

I bought this machine 2 weeks ago for parties that i host inside my apartment. The unit runs great, but it’s a good idea to buy a lot of juice. up to now, i am really satisfied with my purchase. The wireless controller is an awesome idea, works really well.

Now, if you are looking for a bigger, scarier, and foggier fog machine, then I have the unit for you. This 1000W fog machine is on sale from $59 down to $29.50. Yes, it is also 50% off and you get over twice the watts. This machine comes with a wired remote and it is recommended for indoor use. You could always buy two and have the first unit for your front door and the second unit to fill a room with fog for your awesome Halloween party.

Either way, I think both of these are fantastic buys at 50% off. Be sure to pick up some fog juice to make your machines run. A half-gallon of Fog Solution costs $9 at Walmart Canada. One reviewer said:

Didn’t have high hopes for this one considering the price . After trying I was more than happy with the fog output . Almost as dense as brand name fluid I normally buy . Will purchase more of this very soon .

All my local stores are sold out of the stuff so I expect to see some fog machines running in my city soon.

By the way, I had super problems with getting the ‘add to cart’ button to show on Firefox. I had to change my browser to Chrome. If you have problems, try that.

WalMart Canada: Save 50% On Select Halloween Clearance Items

WalMart Canada: Save 50% On Select Halloween Clearance Items

We love hearing about clearance sales! Today, WalMart has some of their Halloween products on clearance, which can help you all save 50% on some of these spooky products! Some of the items that you can save 50% on include this Animated Airblown Inflatable Black Cat On Pumpkin ($29.50 – was $59), a 24-Piece Light Up Tombstone Set ($9.50 – was $19), Airblown Inflatable Rainbow Wings ($5, was $10), and even a Colossal Carving Kit ($3, was $6). You’ll also get free shipping with your order! You can check out more clearance items by clicking on the link below.

There are also some other great items that you can save 50% on, like this adorable Iron Man Candy Holder ($14.50 – was $29), a Giant Airblown Inflatable Pumpkin Reaper ($39.50 – was $79), an Airblown Inflatable Witch With Cauldron ($17 – was $34), and my personal favourite, this Animated Airblown Inflatable Cat ($39.50 – was $79).

If you’ve been procrastinating and still haven’t purchased any Halloween decorations or items, then this clearance sale will certainly be appealing to you. Even if you don’t usually get Halloween decorations, you should at least consider getting a Colossal Carving Kit - after all, it’s incredibly fun to carve a pumpkin!

I think it’s fun to carve pumpkins, especially when you can print off a trace sheet online to help you make a wonderful Jack-O-Lantern! My challenge this year will be to carve Hulk Hogan’s Fu Manchu moustache on to a pumpkin – wish me luck!

These are some great prices for these items! For example, the Iron Man Candy Holder that’s currently selling for $14.50 at WalMart is $32.50 at Entertainment Earth! I’ve included a brief review of the Airblown Inflatable Rainbow Wings from a satisfied WalMart customer below:

Bought this for my niece and she loves it!! All you need is a dress(in my niece’s case, a second hand prom dress) and add those wings – VOILA! A beautiful fairy!

7 Unique Homemade Halloween Costumes

7 Unique Homemade Halloween Costumes

One of my favourite holidays is fast approaching and the one thing everyone will need is a costume.  With Halloween being on a Friday this year, there are likely to be parties for young and old.  Not only do I hate spending a fortune on a costume, I don’t like how the store bought costumes all look the same and everyone has them.  I prefer the good, old fashioned, homemade costume and I have rounded up some great ideas for young and old to make your own costume this year.  It will save you money and you will be the hit of the party!

1. Smurf

7 Unique Homemade Halloween Costumes

This is a costume that would look adorable on a baby but really any aged person could wear.  I found it over at Tip Junkie and it is very easy to make.  Just use some white tights, a blue shirt and make a white hat and ball tail.  If you want to be Smurfette, just add a yellow wig.

2. Octopus

7 Unique Homemade Halloween Costumes

This is such a fun costume for kids , but really can be for someone of any age.  At Giggles Galore, they give you step by step direction on how to make the legs and the hat.  You can choose any colour you want and just match it to a shirt you have in your closet.

3. Prego Pasta Sauce

7 Unique Homemade Halloween Costumes

I love this idea for a pregnant woman.  I was huge when I was pregnant and it is not easy to figure out a costume.  With this one from Cuffed for Life, you can wear your jeans and a red shirt and all you need to do is buy some felt for the details on the front.  You can add some plastic cutlery to your hair for a fun touch as well.

4. Cactus

7 Unique Homemade Halloween Costumes

I just love this costume and how easy it is to make!  All you need is green sweat pants and a green shirt to wear and a box of whites straws.  You pin the straws on all over for the prickles and you are an instant cactus. (Idea from Inventor Spot)

5. Beanie Babies

7 Unique Homemade Halloween Costumes

This adult costume is perfect for a party or the bar.  It is a more imaginative version of the same old skimpy cat, mouse, and other animal costumes.  You can still dress in your sexy Halloween animal costume but by adding the big heart tag in the front, (with some simple cardboard) you have a creative fun spin!  I found this costume idea over at Her Campus.

6. Smores Family

7 Unique Homemade Halloween Costumes

This is such an awesome idea for a family to do together. For the actual easy directions on how to make each piece, they are posted up on Cheerios & Lattes.

What are you dressing up as this year for Halloween Moosers?

American Apparel: Unisex Shiny Wind Breaker Now $18 (Was $62)

Posted by on October 15, 2014 at 7:00 PM

American Apparel: Unisex Shiny Wind Breaker Now $18 (Was $62)

Get a deal on this unisex Shiny Wind Breaker from American Apparel Canada. Originally $62, the windbreak is on sale for only $18.

The windbreaker comes in gold, red, or black. The black is the most versatile and has the best size range still available. Oddly enough, when you choose to view this on the girl models, the red colour disappears and there is an extra size or two available in the other colours. I have included both links so you can see the full gambit of their size and colour options. Sizes start at XXS and go up to XL.

The black I could see totally working with your casual everyday outfit. However, the red and gold options are fantastic for using to create your own superhero costume. Superheroes like The Flash, Superman, and Shazam have a lot of red in their costumes, so you can incorporate the jacket into a warmer version of your favourite superhero. Just zip up the red jacket and paint a lightning bolt on the front of it. We are talking about Halloween during a Canadian winter here! Many superheroes also have a good amount of gold in their costume as well making a gold jacket perfect for your own superhero interpretation. You could even use the black jacket as the base for a Catwoman costume – she is popular!

In fact, American Apparel has an entire section full of sale items that could be good for Halloween. Pick up a Nylon Tricot Short Short for just $5 (was $24). The black pair would make a good base for many costumes like Catwoman, Zatana, and more.

These Nylon Spandex Micro-Mesh Leggings were $35 and are now $10 a pair. Pick up a red pair for your Poison Ivy costume, a white pair for any number of ice queens, and whatever else you have want to dress up as. I would personally use the white leggings with my Steampunk White Rabbit costume. That is the beauty of self-assembled costumes; you can reuse the pieces for different costumes.

Shipping is free on orders of $60 or more. For orders under $60, pay just $8 flat rate. As you are saving $44 per jacket not to mention the extra savings if you buy anything else, I think it is worth the shipping cost even if you are just ordering a couple things.

Hey Moosers! Do you make your own costumes or buy pre-assembled costumes for Halloween?

Threadless (US) Coupon: $12 Horror Tees (Was $25) & Free Shipping on $75

Threadless (US) Coupon: $12 Horror Tees (Was $25) & Free Shipping on $75

Purchase Horror Tees for just $12 (regularly $25) and receive free international shipping from Threadless (US) on orders of $75 or more.

Click here to shop horror tees for $12 @ Threadless (US) now

  • Coupon Code: SCARYSHIP
  • Discount: free shipping on $75
  • Expiry: 17th October 2014 @ 5 p.m. CT

While the shipping deal is mediocre at best, the combination of the shipping deal and the horror themed t-shirt sale right before Halloween elevates this deal in my eyes and makes it blog worthy. Threadless is a database of fantastic art printed onto quality American Apparel cotton tees. They are popular and yet still difficult to access here in Canada.

If the shipping minimum is a big high for you, then get together with a few friends and place an order together. You only need to order seven shirts at the sale price to get free shipping with the above coupon code. You may still be subject to duties and taxes, but I have not heard of anyone in Canada being hit when Threadless packages cross the border (myself included).

Horror is not my ‘thing’ – mystery is. However, there are many tees in this section I would call not quite horror – more of a crossover. Some are just too cool that I do not mind the gory undertones. I am a huge fan of Scooby-Doo, so this We’ve Got Some Work To Do Now tee is just killing me. I love the big mean Scooby and Velma looks AWESOME. She is totally rocking with the shotgun. The little heart on the Misery Machine with RIP to the other three members of the gang is just icing on the cake.

I would not consider this horror, rather sweet fantasy. Shark Forest has the most beautiful layering of colours on a black tee. Of course, one should not forget they are carnivorous with incredible sense of smell. If they really could swim on air, they would certainly eat well!

I like Death; he is a good guy and does his job well. He is one of my favourite characters in Pratchett’s novels – along with Rincewind’s luggage. This Face to Face battle would never happen to the Death of Discworld, but it is a really cool shirt all the same.

There are plenty of tees on in this sale. It does appear you cannot choose any that say ‘fund’ on them. My only other problem was finding shirts that were in stock. So many are sold out already! For future Threadless coupons, visit our forum.

Stag Shop Canada: 30% Off Sitewide (NSFW)

Stag Shop Canada: 30% Off Sitewide (NSFW)

Stag Shop Canada is offering 30% off site wide. No coupon code is necessary. The discount appears to already be taken off the products.

This coupon excludes all restricted items. Now, you may be wondering (as I did) what could be ‘restricted’ on an adult website. You can click through the link here to see the list of brands. Notably, all clearance items are excluded from the extra 30% off.

Honestly, this is a great opportunity to pick up your Halloween costume at a discount. Stag Shop Canada has a large selection of costumes for men and women that qualify for the extra 30% off. A full costume is only around $10 so this is a great place to shop if you are on a budget.

The Coquette – Medieval Guy is a two-piece costume made up of a short and a toy mace, you supply the pants. The shirt is actually a fishnet hoodie with attached wet look vest, arm shields, and chain detail for one hot medieval night (haha). Originally $34.99, it is on sale for $10.49.

Play a Surgeon with this four-piece costume for just $10.49 (was $25.99). The outfit comes complete with both top and bottom scrubs, a facemask, and a skullcap. Stethoscope is not included so ‘borrow’ either one from your doctor’s office or pick one up separately.

Personally, I am totally into the Gangster babe by Coquette. It is a costume I could actually see myself wearing more than just on Halloween. You get the top, the skirt, and fishnet stockings. Hat and toy gun are not included. While the toy gun is not necessary, I would most certainly pick up a hat. Try some old vintage stores as they always have good hats running around that no one wants anymore.  Originally $29.99, the costume is now $10.49.

If you are just waiting to release your inner temptress, then select this three-piece Devilicious costume in red. It has everything you need with a wet look jumper (attached wings and tail), pitchfork, and horns. Originally $29.99, the costume is also now $10.49.

Buy costumes for you and for your mate during this offer. With these prices, you can buy a different costume for each party you are attending. I find costumes have a decent resale value on local forums and Facebook groups, so consider that for next year when you want to change up.

Stag Shop offers free shipping on orders of $49 or more.

Book Outlet Canada: 50% Off Halloween Books

Posted by on October 10, 2014 at 1:00 PM

Book Outlet Canada: 50% Off Halloween Books

Halloween is three weeks from tonight and I know my family is getting in the “mood”. I bought two of my sons their costumes last night and they haven’t taken them off. I actually have had to hide them so pieces don’t go missing before they get to wear them trick or treating. I’ve learned from experience. To get them even more in the mood, I’m totally going to get some books from the 50/50 sale that Book Outlet is having right now with 50% off Halloween books.

My middle son actually has quite the obsession with Halloween and I found it comical when he started getting library privileges at school and every week he brought home a Halloween-themed book, even at Christmas! I guess he just likes spooky stuff. The kid has no fear. I’m going to use this sale to build up his collection of scary reads.

There are so many books under $3, it is hard for me not to go wild and buy them all. I just might. I’m that person who comes out of the library unable to hold the door open with my stockpile of books. At these prices, I don’t need to pay late fees because I can put them on my own shelves.

Some of the fun books I found during this sale included:

One Spooky Night - was $11.99, now $1.99

Usborne monsters colouring book – was $7.95, now $1.99

The Monster Diaries - was $6.95, now $1.49

Totally lame vampire – was $12.99, now $2.49

The Morgaville vampires – was $9.99, now $1.99

As you can see, there is something for every age group as well, even adults. I know lots of people are huge fans of vampires, so this collection of books might have something new to get you loving.

I couldn’t help myself, not only did I get my kids some Halloween books, I had to check out the 25% off cookbooks that were on sale right now too.

Shipping is $4.74 for the first book and $0.75 for every book thereafter.

You have all the way until Halloween to use this code, but if you are looking for items to actually wear on Halloween, you might want to shop soon.

Rock Pretty Kids has some really cool stuff for Halloween for the health-conscious mom. For example, they carry this natural face paint that isn’t made with harsh chemicals and dyes. Have you ever taken off your Halloween makeup only to realize your face is blotchy and red? That’s probably a bit of an allergic reaction. The same goes for when you feel itchy all night. Glob’s natural face paint is made with organic ingredients and is free of all that nasty stuff you don’t want to pile on your kid’s face in the name of getting spooky. They even list the ingredients for each colour. It even comes with a bamboo applicator (not plastic). It was $20, and on sale for $17, but add our Moose coupon and you’ll only pay $16.15.

I found this absolutely adorable butterfly wings that would be great for a little butterfly on Halloween or for all the time playtime. These were also $20, on sale for $17 and will come down to $16.15 in your cart. Add the very cute fantasy monarch dress up mask, which normally sells for $9, on sale for $7.65 and will come down to $7.27 with coupon added.

Shipping is free on orders over $75, so you might want to hop around the site and look for more items that pique your interest. You can also check the Rock Pretty Kids coupon page for more coupons.

Halloween is quickly approaching and we’ve got a spook-tacular contest just for you! Win one of three gift cards (in the form of a coupon code) to use at the Costume Supercentre.

You could do so much with $100 at Costume Supercentre. They have a huge selection of costumes for men, women, kids and even pets. They also have party supplies and so much more. You won’t want to just shop for Halloween as they have items for all year long.

My son wants our family to go as a Star Wars family this Halloween and I’m definitely considering it. I’d love to start with my dog as Darth Vader. There are three pages of little boys Star Wars costumes, so I know I’ll find something for each of my three boys as well.

If you never pay full-price for anything (like me), then you might want to hit up the clearance section. Some kids just want to dress up and don’t care what you paid for their costume. You might as well get it on clearance! If there is a specific costume you need to get and still don’t want to pay full-price, you might want to take a gander at Costume Supercentre’s coupon page on Bargainmoose. Old favourite: eBay Canada

Halloween Costume Coupons!

I am sure it is common knowledge that people will sell their old Halloween costumes on eBay Canada. It’s a particularly good source of bargains, especially for the kids. In many cases, the outfit will only have been worn a handful of times before the child has grown too big to make use of it.

Additionally, you can sometimes find “specialist” items there that might be a bit difficult to find elsewhere.

Alternatives: Regular Clothing Stores

As well as all the specialist Halloween stores mentioned above, you can always find Halloween costumes in some regular stores. For kids outfits for example, Halloween stock appears on the shelves in the likes of Old Navy and The Childrens Place. You’ll probably find more of these deals closer to the time. However, I find that these can be the most expensive to purchase before Halloween. There are always price drops after Halloween – if you can be prepared enough to purchase next year’s costumes then.

In the comments below, please let me know if you know of any more specialist costume stores that I can add to the list!

Chapters Indigo Canada: Free Shipping, No Minimum

Chapters Indigo Canada: Free Shipping, No Minimum

Whenever Chapters Indigo posts free shipping, no minimum, I jump on it. Sometimes you just don’t want to spend $25 to get free shipping. Maybe you just want one book, or toy, or home or gift item. Well, now you can do that and get your shipping comped too.

I didn’t realize that Chapters Indigo sold Halloween costumes. I had a look through and while most of them were about $30, some of the accessories and toddler costumes are under $25. If I had a little girl, she’d definitely be getting these butterfly wings, because every little girl needs a pair of wings. These are $12.95.

Chapters Indigo’s sale section is quite full, with a huge number of categories on sale right now including 80% off select books, up to 50% off toys, home decor, bath and body, journals and so much more. So, not only do you get free shipping, you can peruse the large sale section and get quite a number of deals.

I am starting my Christmas shopping (yes I know it is still September), as I like to be prepared. I have a playdoh addict in my home and Chapters Indigo is selling single cans for only $1 each! Now, don’t think that you can get away with ordering just one and getting it shipped for free. You have to get a minimum of seven, but that’s only $7 and still a fantastic deal!

I found a very interesting deal that would probably make a good gift, especially for a visitor to Canada who might want to remember their trip here. The deal is on these Smells Like Canada candles. I am very intrigued to see what Hogtown Peameal smells like. Apparently it really does smell like a crispy and fresh from the frying pan piece of bacon, which I never really thought Toronto smelled like, but I really want to smell it! These were $28 and now $20. Unfortunately, if you are looking for the Toronto smoke smell or the Up North S’mores smell, they are out of stock.

Cafepress Canada: Up To 30% Off Everything

Cafepress Canada: Up To 30% Off Everything

Cafepress has quite an interesting deal going on right now. Get 30% off your order, no coupon needed. I went to their site and clicked on the details of this sale and it quite simply said “no coupon needed”. I think this is fantastic. Just add whatever you’d like to your cart, don’t mess around with coupons that might not work, just get your 30% off. Sweet! But, while they say everything, it does not include everything. You’ll be able to see if something is discounted, just by clicking on it.

I really love the quirky and fun items at Cafepress. They seriously have everything too. I looked at the back to school gear because of course, my kids are going to lose some stuff and I’ll need to replace it. Rather than scrambling, I could curtail the meltdown by having a backup. Already this morning while in the shower, I had the door opened to my oldest child asking where his water bottle is. Two minutes later my second oldest asked me the same question. I had quite the cold and drafty shower. When I came down to get them out the door they said they had found their bottles and we were ready to go.

Lo and behold, I went into the garage and there was someone’s water bottle. One of them had stolen my youngest’s bottle from his bag. To stop all of these arguments, I’m going to get them personalized bottles that they alone will be responsible for and so they can’t steal their brother’s bottle. CafePress sells every sort of personalizable water bottle you can imagine, depending on what your kid is into. This custom soccer ball and cleats water bottle is now only $16.50, was $21. For me, buying three, I’ll save $13.50 in total.

With Halloween shortly on its way, you might be looking for costumes and other spooky gear. I personally love this Keep Calm and Eat Candy shirt, because seriously, just keep calm and eat your candy. It was $36 and now $30. Some schools don’t let kids wear their costumes to school, so you might want to check out some Halloween-themed tees for them, like this spider n’ web t-shirt that was $28.50 and now $20.

Cafepress does ship from the U.S., and shipping depends on the weight of what you order. All duties and custom fees are paid upon checkout, so you won’t get any scary surprises at your door.
