Card Swap Canada emailed me to let me know about the launch of their fairly new service, CardSwap.ca. They’re offering a special coupon code for any Bargainmoosers who wish to sell gift cards on their site, which effectively waives their usual selling fees.

Now, I personally have not used CardSwap before, so I cannot vouch for their service! I’d recommend having a look for reviews and doing a little bit of research before using any new site. Do you shop at Zellers very often?  Then here is a deal for you.  Spend $25 on the participating brands on one single purchase, and you will receive a $10 Zellers gift card by mail.  All you need to do is fill out a form and mail it off in order to receive your gift card. These are brands we all use everyday; Crest, Braun, Oral B, Gillette just to name a few.   I know that will be stocking up on a few of these items!

I think this is a pretty great promotion from big old Walmart Canada!! You have to spend $40 on these Proctor & Gamble brands: Iams, Cascade, Charmin, Bounty, Febreze, Gain, Pringles, Swiffer, Tide, and Puffs. Then fill in this printable form from Walmart, attach your original receipts, and claim yourself a free $15 Wal-Mart gift card!!

What’s great about this promo is that you can use multiple receipts… meaning you don’t have to buy these things all at once. For example, save up all your receipts from January purchases, and at the end of the month add up all the applicable products to see if you qualify for the mail in rebate. This promotion applies to purchases up to the end of January 2009.

It will be really easy to spend forty bucks on these items. I could spend $40 on Pringles alone!!

Point to note: Make sure you read the instructions very carefully – follow them and you should receive your free gift cards without any problems.

Quick post here to let you know about the latest promo from Buffalo David Bitton clothing – they are running a special Christmas promotion in which you can order free $20 gift cards. Just pop your details in the form on the Buffalo order page before the 16^th of December 2008. The free gift card will be mailed out to you. When you redeem it, you must spend at least $75 in store, between the 8^th and 31^st of January 2009.

This clothing deal applies to you if you live in either Quebec or Ontario – see the Buffalo Jeans store locator here. They do have some stores in other parts of the world… but I’m not planning a trip to London any time soon!

Here’s a deal which was on the front page of the latest flyer from Home Outfitters Canada. They are offering free “moneycards” when you make purchases in-store @ your local branch.

Spending $60 nets you a free $20 gift card! You must make your purchase before the 24^th of December 2008. This gift card can then be spent on purchases of $40 or more, between the 26^th of December 2008 and the 9^th of January 2009.

If you need a few bits and bobs, it might be a good idea to make your purchases before Christmas, then you can use the free gift cards on sale items after the holidays.

If you were planning on some DIY purchases or some tools from your local Rona Hardware store, here’s a great deal for you!

Between the 6^th and 7^th of December 2008, Rona are giving away free gift cards with your purchases. For every $100 (pre tax) you spend, you get a free $10 gift card. For example, if you spend $600, that means a free $60 gift card! Of course, it doesn’t apply if you’re buying gift cards themselves, only on products at your Rona store.

I’ll let you guys into a secret – I hate hardware stores! Sometimes my OH drags me to get some special tool, and I walk like a zombie round the aisles. They’re so huge and sprawling, and there are 2 million different types of screws or bolts or whatever! I can’t take the pressure! But I know they’re a necessary evil… after all, it keeps him happy for half an hour.

The Old Spaghetti Factory Canada is running a special promotion on the purchase of their gift cards, which is worthy of a blog post. Their promo page tells you a bit more about it.

If you buy a $25 gift card between now and the end of December 2008, they will also give you a $10 bonus card for free!! You can print off the order form online, or just get the offer at the Spaghetti Factory near you. If you want to find an Old Spaghetti Factory at your nearest location, check their store locator.

Even if you don’t use these as gifts, and you are a regular patron of The Old Spagetti Factory anyway, you could even buy these and make use of them yourselves. The $10 can be redeemed in the new year, between January and March 2009.

I’ve eaten at The Spagetti Factory a few times… I quite enjoyed it. I’m a big fan of Italian restaurants though. I can’t get enough garlic bread!

Here’s one for you Quebecois! This is a weekend offer from SAQ – it will be running between Friday the 14^th November, to Sunday the 16^th, 2008. If you purchase goods worth $100 or more, you will receive a free $15 gift card to spend on future purchases.

This offer usually only happens once or twice a year at SAQ, who reportedly have pretty cheap booze anyway. This might be the perfect excuse to stock up on vino and bubbly for the upcoming Christmas holidays!

I’d find it really easy to spend $50 on these types of items in Walmart stores! The list contains: Pantene, Olay, CoverGirl, Clairol, Oral-B, Old Spice, Always, Tampax, Ivory and Gillette products. The Gillette products in particular are always expensive – the Mach 3 razor blades for my partner would go a huge way to making up the minimum spend of $50. Here’s a thought – how about buying a few Clairol Herbal Essences items and putting them towards getting a free haircut as well!!

It does also say that it doesn’t have to be on a single purchase – multiple receipts are accepted!! So even if you wouldn’t spend that amount on Proctor & Gamble beauty products all by yourself, why not ask family & friends for their receipts so you can take advantage of this offer?

I always love getting free stuff when I am doing my regular shopping!! This is a good one from ShoppersDrugMart. They are giving us a FREE $10 gift card if we spend $50 or more in store. I find it incredibly easy to spend $50 in a shopper’s drug mart!!

Just throw in a few bottles of my favorite shampoo, maybe a nice bottle of perfume for a treat, and that’s easily $50!

You can probably get your Shoppers Optimum points on the purchases too, if you collect those.

This special promo will only be active between Monday, September 22nd to Friday, September 26th, 2008. You can read the full ins and outs on the Shoppersdrugmart.ca web page if you wish. It shows you all that nasty small print.
