This Christmas, I treated myself to a Tassimo coffee machine. I’ve wanted one for the past couple of years and finally decided to get one. I’m loving it! So apparently the Xbox Kinect is all the rage this Christmas. If you’re desperate to get your hands on one, there are a few places where you  could go to get one now. These are all in stock either online or in-store, so you should be able to grab one somewhere.

Price-wise, they all seem to be similar, there is no one deal that really stands out above the others. But the Visions deal is actually more expensive – though some may be willing to pay that just to get their hands on one for Christmas.

I’ve seen the Kinect in action, but haven’t had the chance to try it out yet. It’s probably not something I would buy myself, as we have a PS3 and a Wii in our house. I think having all 3 consoles would be overkill.

When I asked Moosers what they wanted for Christmas, I couldn’t believe the number who wanted a DSLR Camera. So when I saw this deal on Future Shop I was quite pleased at the price and thought I would share. You can get a Canon EOS Rebel XS Black 10.1 MP DSLR Camera with 18-55mm IS Lens for only $449.99.

Future Shop says it is only $30 off their normal price, however this camera costs up to $600 on other websites. Best Buy is out of stock of this camera right now and their price was $479.99. The price on NCIX.com is $599.99 for this exact camera!

Since high school 2 years ago, I’ve stuck with film photography. This year I’ve decided to try digital and the Canon Rebel has not let me down! I really recommend it for anyone interested in photography. They have automatic settings that work much better than I originally thought, and they also have manual settings for more advanced options/users.

I have had Canon cameras for about 30 years now and I have just gone from the first EOS the 650 to this camera and to my surprise this one really turns out some good quality shots. Add the image stabilized lens and turn up the contrast and sharpness and the pics are really 1st rate.

I have shot weddings, landscapes, family get together & everything else. I also use a canon 40d, save you money ,you wont notice a difference, use the extra money you save and buy the 55-250 is lens & a flash. 5000 plus pics and counting.

UPDATE: Bargainmooser Angela pointed out that Staples.ca has the camera on its own for $109.96 if you prefer that (silver | blue | brown). But for the sale of $5 extra, I’d go with the Futureshop deal with the free photobook worth $35.

Here’s one for the gamers. Futureshop Canada is offering Gran Turismo 5 for the Playstation 3 with a wired Intec driving wheel for only $59.99 for the bundle!

The deal will only be active from 8pm EST tonight (Saturday the 4th December), and only lasts until 10am tomorrow. I think this particular item will be popular and might sell out quite fast – so maybe set an alarm if you want to make sure and get online at that time, to purchase one.

The regular price for this bundle on the Futureshop website is $109.98. As Gran Turismo 5 is a new release for the PS3, it is selling for $60 at most outlets. So for $59.99 with the driving wheel, it’s a really good price. The driving wheel itself is an Intec, so might not be quite as good as some of the Logitech models, but you’re pretty much getting it for free.

I plan on buying GT5 for my partner for Christmas. I am waiting to see if it will come down in price a bit before I take the plunge though. We already have a Logitech racing wheel, so I’m passing on this particular offer.

I have never heard of such a program before. If we had enough games I would so do it, since I think our TV is like, 21″ or something shrimpy.

There are a few exclusions, such as 40” or larger TVs from Best Buy, or special delivery items from Futureshop. But other than that, this is totally perfect for further avoidance of the in-store crowds which are already becoming quite rabid. Why not just sit at home in your pyjamas and order online instead? That’s what I am trying to do with all my Christmas shopping.
