Best Buy & Future Shop Canada: Kobo Arc 10.1″ Was $300 | Now $170

Posted by on January 5, 2015 at 10:06 AM

Best Buy & Future Shop Canada: Kobo Arc 10.1 Was $300 | Now $170

Best Buy and Future Shop have a hot deal on the Kobo Arc 10.1 16GB tablet that was $300 and now only $169.99. This is the lowest price I’ve ever seen this tablet.

This is seriously a great deal that I’m considering taking advantage of. My kids have Kobo Arc tablets in the 7″ version and they are great. I like having a larger screen, so I considered buying this tablet at full-price last year. Instead, I can save $130 and get it today until January 8th or until they sell out.

You might think of Kobo as just an e-reader but this Android tablet is just as good as any other Android tablet and even rivals iPad in my opinion at half the price. You can of course, use it as an e-reader as well, although it doesn’t have the same type of screen you see in e-readers that make them so great at the beach.

I personally like the 10″ because I use my tablet for recipes and I like to be able to see it larger. Of course, watching movies and surfing is also better on a larger screen and I still find this size portable enough to put in my purse.

This tablet has a 4.3 star rating out of five, with value being rated the highest and performance almost as good.

Impressive processing power under the hood makes the Arc 10 quite fast. A bit heavy, a bit boxy, but the back is well-designed and actually pretty cool-looking with a grippy coating.

I really like this device! I still have to play around with it a fair bit more to figure out all the things that it can do, but so far so good. The only thing is that the speakers don’t seem very loud sometimes, but that may just be me…

Interestingly enough, I don’t see this tablet on sale anywhere else, so this truly is the best price you’ll get it anywhere.

Shipping will be free from both stores, as you are exceeding the $25 free shipping threshold.

Future Shop: $32 Off Cyber Acoustics 2.0 Speakers – Only $8 *HOT*

Posted by on January 4, 2015 at 12:43 PM

Future Shop: $32 Off Cyber Acoustics 2.0 Speakers Only $8 *HOT*

If you need a new pair of computer speakers then this is the deal for you. Save $32 on the Cyber Acoustics 2.0 Computer Speaker System (CA-896). Originally $39.99, this set of speaker is on clearance for just $7.99.

I could not find these speakers very many other places to give a good price comparison. Newegg sold them but they are now out of stock and a previous price is not listed. I did find them in stock and sold by Amazon Canada, where they are listed for $33.76 currently. Best Buy has the same deal as Future Shop but they are already sold out! I assume these speakers will sell out quickly as the sister store is already sold out.

They are a fairly basic set of speakers in a nice sleek black. They have the basic on/off switch and a volume control on the speaker itself. There is an LED power indicator so you know when there is power going to the speakers. There is also a Headphone output jack in case you want to save your family the disturbance at 2 AM.

As a lovely little extra, they feature a USB charging port. It has an output of 5.1V DC at 2.1 amp. That means it has enough power to charge a tablet or iPad and not just your smart phone. This is a sweet added feature as I find my computer never has enough USB ports. It does not come with a USB cord; that you will need to provide.

Reviews range from mediocre to quite pleased. Keep in mind most of these reviews would have been closer to full price. Here are a few reviews:

I have this speaker system for a month. So far it works great for cheap price. Pretty much loud. No problem at all.

and…

These speakers arrived in about one week. They look nice and they work OK. The only thing that could be better is the volume of the sound which could be louder at the maximum level.

Now, these speakers are so cheap they will not qualify for free shipping. You only get free shipping on orders of $25. You also cannot pick up in store, as this is an online only deal. I suggest checking out the rest of the clearance sale , as shipping would really cut into your savings. There is a limit of one per household.

Misfit Flash Activity & Sleep Tracker Just $30 | Was $50 @ Best Buy & Future Shop Canada

Posted by on January 2, 2015 at 9:30 PM

Misfit Flash Activity & Sleep Tracker Just $30 | Was $50 @ Best Buy & Future Shop Canada

Smart watches are all the rage lately and if you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon yet, then both Best Buy and Future Shop have a fantastic deal on the Misfit Flash wireless activity and sleep tracker. Right now, you can get one of these trackers for just $29.99 instead of their regular price of $49.99.

As you can see on the picture above, it’s not a smart watch per se but it’s comparable to one as it tracks physical activity, along with sleep duration and quality. Once the tracker is turned on, twelve little lights will serve to illustrate your level of activity.

The Misfit Flash can most notably track:

  • number of calories burnt
  • number of miles/km travelled
  • duration of sleep
  • quality of sleep

It’s also waterproof up to 30 meters and you won’t have to worry about wearing it during wet conditions. The battery should last you up to 6 months, though according to one reviewer, it lasts 3 months. Keep in mind that it needs to be synced with a smart phone for optimal tracking as you will then be able to track your progress with fitness stats and daily goals.

A couple of reviewers have noted that this is a great tracker with the only drawback being that the wrist band is perhaps not made from the best material. Considering the price, this is a factor that can be easily overlooked, especially since this tracker may also be clipped nearly anywhere like on a shirt, inside a pocket and even on your shoe! Here’s what one reviewer had to say about it:

I bought this to test out the accuracy of a wearable fitness monitor, before plunking down bigger bucks on something fancier. I am pleasantly surprised at its accuracy so far, even the sleep monitor component. The watch band isn’t the greatest quality but you get what you pay for.

It’s also available in the following colours: black, white, pink, blue, reef green or white.

Since both Best Buy and Future Shop ships orders totalling over $25 for free, you’re sure to get this nifty gadget shipped at no extra cost as well.

Best Buy/ Future Shop Canada: Wii U Super Mario 3D World Deluxe Set Just $250 (Was $300)

Posted by on December 29, 2014 at 10:00 PM

Best Buy/ Future Shop Canada: Wii U Super Mario 3D World Deluxe Set Just $250 (Was $300)

Ready to make the leap into the land of the Nintendo Wii U? Both Best Buy and Future Shop have discounted it by $50. Until the first day of the new year, you can get it for just $249.99, instead of its original price of $299.99.

The last time that we saw the Nintendo Wii U go down in price to just $250 was all the way back in the third week of November during Toys R Us’ Moonlight Sale and even then, the sale only lasted two hours! Even Best Buy’s and Future Shop’s discount aren’t that long-lasting as you can only secure them during the next couple of days. Everywhere else, this console is still priced at its full price of $299.99.

This Nintendo Wii U deluxe set comes with the console itself, a sensor bar, a gamepad, and the Super Mario 3D World game. Other accessories like a gamepad stand and all of the necessary wiring are also included.

I bought this exact same set last year and I LOVE it. Super Mario 3D World is a super fun game to play, especially as a team with someone else or even a couple of friends and will most definitely keep you entertained for days, if not months like in my case. Plus, once you have officially beat the game, there are a couple of bonus levels to keep you entertained just a little while longer.

Unlike the PlayStation and Xbox consoles, a major perk of getting the Wii U is that it’s backwards compatible. This means that if you have the previously released the version, the Wii, then you could still continue to use the games that you already have. This is a major advantage, especially if you have a large collection of Wii games just sitting, waiting to be played.

Since both Best Buy and Future Shop ship orders over $25 for free, you’re sure to get your brand new toy delivered at no extra charge as well! Best Buy/ Future Shop Canada: Wii U Super Mario 3D World Deluxe Set Just $250 (Was $300)

Moosers, do you have a Nintendo Wii U? Which games would you recommend?

Future Shop: Turtle Beach Gaming Headset just $29.99 *HOT*

Posted by on December 25, 2014 at 4:33 PM

Future Shop: Turtle Beach Gaming Headset just $29.99 *HOT*

Future Shop is totally blowing my mind with their price on the Turtle Beach Ear Force DXL1 Dolby Surround Sound Gaming Headset for Boxing Week. Ignore the ‘savings’ as it is horribly inaccurate and check out my price comparison below. Future Shop has this Turtle Beach headset that retails for $100+ on sale for $29.99.

They have the same deal at Best Buy but the expiry dates are different. You can get this deal at Future Shop until the end of the year while Best Buy’s deal ends tonight.

I price compared this unit because the ‘saved’ price at Future Shop is way out to lunch. Here is what the competitors are actually selling this headset for:

  • $99.95 @ The Source Canada (backordered)
  • $127.77 @ Amazon Canada
  • $136.79 @ Staples Canada

Oh yes, this Turtle Beach gaming headset is quite the deal. While it is designed for the Xbox 360, it IS compatible with the Xbox One, a PC/MAC, and even a PS3/PS4 with a small adapter cable – consult Turtle Beach’s website for more details. Since most people will purchase this to use either with their Xbox or with PC, I have included the PC hookup instructions to be your guide:

Future Shop: Turtle Beach Gaming Headset just $29.99 *HOT*

There are plenty of image tutorials on how to connect this headset to other gaming consoles as well.

One of the primary selling features of this headset is the DSS2 surround sound processor, which retails for $79.99 alone on Amazon.ca. Essentially, the headset and the surround sound processor are cheaper than buying the processor alone.

The headset also features:

  • 20 Hz – 20 kHz frequency response
  • In-line amplifier
  • 50mm speakers
  • separate volume controls
  • Positionable microphone

Essentially, you will enjoy the immersive experience of 360-degree surround sound blasting through these speakers while being able to differentiate the sounds from chat windows (etc) and keeping them at a lower level.

Amazon.com has many reviews for the headset with most of them being positive. One reviewer concluded his lengthy review saying:

Overall, this headset is amazing. After having high-end headsets, I really think they don’t really compare to this. I paid $70 for this here on Amazon. You really can’t beat the price for this wired headset. If you’re looking for a nice, comfortable headset with great sound; look no further.

Well, if he paid $70 USD for the headset and thought it was an unbeatable price, you really should snap it up for only $30 CA with free shipping.

$90 Off Sennheiser RS126 II – Now $89.99 @ Best Buy & Future Shop

Posted by on December 25, 2014 at 12:10 PM

$90 Off Sennheiser RS126 II Now $89.99 @ Best Buy & Future Shop

Best Buy and Future Shop are selling the Sennheiser RS 126 II Wireless On-Ear Headphones for just $89.99, saving you $90 (50%) off the original price for Boxing Week.

Its rather funny looking at Future Shop and Best Buy because each quotes a different discount. Best Buy says the headset is $90 off, and Future Shop says the headset is $50 off. I think that Best Buy might be right in this instance as my price comparisons show that this headset goes for quite the price at most retailers:

  • $179.99 @ Dell Canada
  • $199.99 @ Staples Canada
  • $199.99 @ The Source (older version)
  • $129.99 @ London Drugs (older version)

The only place I could find that matched the twins’ price was Amazon Canada at $89.99 on a lightning deal. As Best Buy and Future Shop have this deal on until the 28th, I figured this was the better place to find the headset.

I have been looking for a wireless headset for some time. While I love my Denon headset, sometimes wires are terribly inconvenient and I just want to listen without tangling myself up in a cord. I decided on Sennheiser a while ago because they make such a large variety of wireless headsets to suit all budgets. The Sennheiser RS126 II is the second edition (note that) of this headset. It features an open, supra-aural wireless RF headphone system giving detailed sound reproduction and good strong base.

The wireless headset can communicate with your MP3 player or phone up to 100 meters. The headphones come with a transmitter with metal cradle for storing and recharging the headphones. Rechargeable AAA NiMH batteries are also included. The headphones are also very lightweight making them comfortable to wear for long durations.

The main negative thing I have heard is that there is static. However, with four channels you should be able to tune that out. It could also be due to interference if you are using many Bluetooth products in your house. This reviewer said:

If you want to get rid of the burden of cables this option is optimal. Sound quality is great and headphones are very comfortable. I use them in the office to listen to music, not to wear them while walking around the house. The manufacturer’s stated usable range is about right, so watching TV or listening to music in the same room is not a problem.

Overall, I think these are a very good buy for the money you are spending. Receive free shipping on orders of $25 or more.

Sennheiser HD 335 Headphones Was $150 | Now $69.99 @ Best Buy *HOT*

Posted by on December 24, 2014 at 9:12 PM

Sennheiser HD 335 Headphones Was $150 | Now $69.99 @ Best Buy *HOT*

I am pretty stoked to see a fair quality headset included in the hot Best Buy and Future Shop deals that just were released. Pick up these Sennheiser HD 335s Headphones for just $69.99, originally $149.99.

As they are twin companies, you get the same deal from both big stores. If the headset sells out at one you can buy it at the other store. Now, this headset is really hard to find in Canada so a lot of the price comparisons you see below are from the USA:

  • $112.86 US @ Amazon.com
  • $119.95 US @ Sennheiser
  • $119.99 US @ Bestbuy.com
  • $168.30 + $ 7.78 @ Amazon.ca Marketplace

That is the beast I could do on a price comparison for this unit, so I am pretty pleased with this deal.

While the title calls these on-ear headphones, the description says “over the ear” on Best Buy Canada. There is a big difference between those two models, so I am curious as to what model this is – I am assuming it is over the ear given the size of the closed ear cups. The right ear-cup rotates, which is perfect for one-ear listening in studio settings or for performances. I had a pair of Shure headphones that cost a LOT more than this with a rotating ear-cup. Even though I do not have a studio, the ear-cup was nice for being able to listen to my music and get interrupted at the same time.

The headset also has these funky features:

  • Integrated omnidirectional microphone
  • In-line remote
  • Embedded volume dial located on the ear cup

Expect amazing sound with 14Hz – 20kHz frequency response, 112dB sensitivity, and 32 ohms impedance. They also passively block out a good deal of noise so you can enjoy your music without the sound of screaming children interrupting the process.

This headset is going to give you a lot for the price you are paying. At only $70, I cannot think of a better headset to spend your money on.

Receive free shipping on orders of $25 or more.

$72 Off – Beats by Dr. Dre Pill 2.0 Only $148 @ Visions Electronics *HOT* (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 24, 2014 at 8:31 PM

$72 Off Beats by Dr. Dre Pill 2.0 Only $148 @ Visions Electronics *HOT* (EXPIRED)

Hurry over to Visions Electronics and score the highly sought after Beats by Dr. Dre Pill 2.0 come in for Boxing Day. Originally $219.99, the Pill 2.0 is on sale for $148 with free shipping at Visions Electronics.

This is one of the big-ticket sale item so many stores but NONE can beat Visions Electronics price. Unfortunately, the black is only available in store and the silver is not included in the sale. However, you do still have three coulours to choose from including the celebrity inspired pink that is sold out on most websites (like Future Shop and Best Buy)

I price compared this unit with other stores. While also on sale at many other stores, Visions was the best as you can see:

  • $169.99 @ Best Buy Canada
  • $169.99 @ Future Shop Canada
  • $179.94 @ Staples Canada
  • $219.99 @ NCIX.com
  • $197.96 @ Microsoft Store Canada
  • $219.95 @ Apple Store Canada
  • $169.99 @ Amazon Canada

This is a small but loud external speaker. They come with all the features you would expect in a speaker including a seven-hour rechargeable battery and a charge out port so you can charge your phone or MP3 player while listening. The Beat Pills also have a cool tap feature where you can tap two Pills together once to get them to play the same song simultaneously. Tap two pills together twice and one will become a left speaker and the other a right speaker. Enjoy instant surround sound.

As one reviewer says:

This is one of those speakers that you’ll actually want to carry with you. It looks good, fits in your pocket and delivers loud sound relative to its size.

All of these cute little Dr. Dre Pills come with free shipping from Visions Electronics. The Visions sale is massive, and I really look forward to seeing what else they have to offer!

Future Shop: Free $10 GC With $100+ Reserve & Pick-Up in Store

Posted by on December 22, 2014 at 1:00 PM

Future Shop: Free $10 GC With $100+ Reserve & Pick Up in Store

Future Shop has a fantastic little promotion on for today and tomorrow. Receive a free $10 gift certificate when you reserve and pick-up your order in store worth over $100.

To receive your gift certificate, your purchase must be online. When you go to checkout, simply choose the reserve for in-store pickup option and choose your closest Future Shop location. My closest Future Shop is about a five-minute drive away, so I actually chose this option with my Sony SRS-X5 speaker. I highly recommend this speaker; I enjoy it almost every day and it is a fantastic mid-priced speaker if you want quality at an affordable price. Originally $199.99, the speaker is currently on sale for $149.99.

Your gift certificate will be emailed to you approximately 10 days after you have picked up your purchase from the store. The certificate has no cash value, and must be used January 9 – 30, 2015 only. There is no minimum purchase required, so you could just purchase a $10 item and get it for free.

One of the other beneficial things about this deal is that the product you want does not have to be available for purchase online. There are two lines with boxes (usually green) under any product. One says “available online” and one says “reservable in-store.” Your item merely needs to be reserveable in-store for this deal to work.

This deal is just really cool as it is from one of the giant companies and it just happens to be one of the big electronics companies. I love electronics and – since our local Best Buy closed down – Future Shop is the place to go.

There are plenty of last minute gifts you may want to pick up this way. Purchase the Nintendo Wii U 32GB Super Mario 3D World Deluxe Set for $299.99 and receive a free $40 gift card AND the free $10 gift certificate when you reserve and then pick up in store.

The gorgeous Dyson Animal Handheld Vacuum (DC34) is on sale for $179.99; you save $50 and get a free $10 gift certificate when you reserve to pick it up in store. Anyone want to buy a Dyson for me?

There is a limit of one gift certificate per person. This promotion is only available for two days. Best Buy Canada – the twin sister of Future Shop – has the same offer on as well.

Future Shop Canada Boxing Day Flyer Is Out Now! (Dec 24-28)

Posted by on December 21, 2014 at 3:30 PM

Future Shop Canada Boxing Day Flyer Is Out Now! (Dec 24 28)

The Future Shop Canada Boxing Day flyer has just been released. This flyer is pretty exciting with 47 pages stacked with deals. Remember, if shopping online at FutureShop.ca you can also receive free shipping on orders over $25. This does not apply to oversized items though.

This Future Shop Boxing Day sale will start on the 24th of December at 8 PM EST at FutureShop.ca but the in store sales will start on the 26th of December at 6 AM. I suggest getting into your closest Future Shop Canada store early on Boxing Day to ensure the item you wish to purchase is not sold out by the time you get there. There are no rain checks.

The iPhone 6 has been a big release this year; I was hoping to see a lot of deals on it during all of these Boxing Day sales. I actually have not been too impressed with the offers I have seen so far. Future Shop is offering the iPhone 6 starting at $29.99 after a $50 trade in or $79.99 without a trade in. Of course, there is a catch – this only applies to select 2-year new activation or renewal plans.

Now I was impressed with some of the TV deals at Future Shop during their Boxing Day sales. The Samsung 50″ 4K Series LED Ultra HD Smart TV is only $899.99 which is $800 off the previous price. I wouldn’t even need to go to the movie theatre anymore if I had a TV like this, it would be an investment, right?

While Future Shop Canada might not be the first place you think of buying a cookware set from, this offer might change your mind. During the Boxing Day sales at Future Shop, you can save up to 75% off a huge selection of cookware sets. The Paderno 13 Piece Avonlea Stainless Steel Cookware Set was $849.99 and will be only $249.99 during the Boxing Day event. This offer will be available online only.

There are other offers available too – save up to $700 on major appliances and save up to $100 on Apple products among many other deals. All of the Future Shop Canada Boxing Day sale items will be limited in quantity and limited to one per household.

Here are just a few of the first pages of the Future Shop Canada Boxing Day flyer. You can view the full flyer here.

Future Shop Canada: Mophie Workbook iPad 2/3rd Gen Leather Case Was $50 | Now $5

Posted by on December 19, 2014 at 10:06 AM

Future Shop Canada: Mophie Workbook iPad 2/3rd Gen Leather Case Was $50 | Now $5

If you’ve got an older generation iPad and would like a new case for it, I’ve got a steal of a deal for you. Get the Mophie Workbook iPad 2/3rd generation leather case from Future Shop for only $4.99, saving you $45! You can get black or white.

I don’t have an iPad, but we do have tablets and I know how important cases can be for them. With three boys running around my house, a tablet is bound to fall at some point or another, if not thrown as a game or during a tantrum. Either way, a case can protect your precious device. While this case is for a 2nd or 3rd generation iPad, I’m sure there are lots of us out there who have those. Maybe the case you have now is getting tattered. Maybe it isn’t as nice as this case. Maybe you could just use a second case for fun and whimsy. Either way, this case is only $5.

Not just a protective case, it also doubles as a stand and it allows you to tilt it at so many different angles. The front cover is magnetic and puts your machine to sleep when you close it and wakes it up when you open it. I wish my kids were that easy.

I searched the net far and wide for price comparisons, but it doesn’t look like too many stores sell this case. Best Buy has it on sale as well, but for $9.99. Otherwise, you can’t really get a case this cheap.

Considering cases sell for around the $30 range and up, this is a hot steal if you need this kind of case. If you don’t need a case, its no loss to you and you can move on down the page and find some other deals Future Shop Canada: Mophie Workbook iPad 2/3rd Gen Leather Case Was $50 | Now $5

You could also think about this for another tablet that isn’t an iPad, but has the same dimensions.

Shipping is free once you spend $25 at Future Shop, so you might want to check out other hot deals to save yourself that cost.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel for PC, Xbox 360 or PS3 Only $39.99 @ Best Buy or Future Shop (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 17, 2014 at 2:59 PM

Borderlands: The Pre Sequel for PC, Xbox 360 or PS3 Only $39.99 @ Best Buy or Future Shop (EXPIRED)

Christmas Holidays might leave you with a little more spare time than usual, so why not have some fun and try out the Borderlands: The Pre Sequel game for either the PC, Xbox 360 or the PS3. Right now both Best Buy and Future Shop have this particular Borderlands game title on sale, with a regular price of $59.99, for $39.99.

This game can be enjoyed by anyone who has a computer, PlayStation 3 or an Xbox 360. Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is set between Borderlands and Borderlands 2. You will witness the villain Handsome Jack transform into a power hungry tyrant. There are four playable characters which include Wilhelm the Enforcer, Nisha the Lawbringer, Claptrap the goofy robot companion and Athene the Gladiator. Do you remember these guys as your bosses in the previous Borderlands games?

I did a little price comparison to ensure that you really were getting the best deal from Best Buy Canada and Future Shop, so have a look:

Borderlands The Pre-Sequel is $59.96 @ Walmart.ca
Borderlands The Pre-Sequel is $54.99 @ Coscto.ca

This first person shooter was released on the 14th of October, 2014 so it is fairly new to be discounted so drastically. The story line seems to focus on Jack, who happens to be your enemy in Borderlands 2. This game does have some new features since Borderlands 2  though, like laser guns and items that possess a cyrogenic element. This effect can slow down and even freeze your enemies.

I’m not generally a first person shooter type of gal, but I do enjoy the Borderlands games I have tried. I have yet to try this pre-sequel but I wouldn’t mind giving it a shot for this price. If you have tried this game, let us know what you think.

Whether you decide to shop at Best Buy or Future Shop Canada, you will also attain free shipping. Shipping is fast too, fast enough to have the game at your door in time to be wrapped up under the Christmas tree. The Best Buy and Future Shop holiday order deadline is in 6 days if you live in Toronto. You can check your area’s shipping deadline on their shipping page.

Free Sennheiser Headphones with Dyson Purchase @ Future Shop ($150 Value) (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 17, 2014 at 1:30 PM

Free Sennheiser Headphones with Dyson Purchase @ Future Shop ($150 Value) (EXPIRED)

I am stoked about this sweet deal from Future Shop Canada. Receive a free pair of Sennheiser HD Pro Over-Ear Sound Isolating Headphones for free ($149.99 value) when you purchase a Dyson vacuum or air multiplying fan for $349.99 or more.

Dyson and Sennheiser are both higher end brands that I love. I currently own a Dyson vacuum and would love to own a Dyson fan. I have also been drooling over Sennheiser headsets for ages now.

For the free headset, you need to add these Sennheiser HD Pro Over-Ear Sound Isolating Headphones (HD280 PRO) to your cart with the Dyson product and they will be automatically discounted. This headset is an absolute classic for Sennheiser. While it may not be exactly what a casual music listener is looking for, it is designed for studio use with crisp clear sound and incredible differentiation. As one reviewer put it: if your music sounds good on this headset, it will sound good on any headset.

This deal is at its best when you purchase the lowest priced Dyson’s available. I would pick up the Dyson Digital Slim Multi Floor Vacuum (DC35) before the last few go out of stock. If I was to need a new vacuum cleaner, I think I would purchase this one. It is compact, cordless, and has a long arm that really reaches into hard to reach places. The vacuum retails for $349.99, so you will receive the headset for free. This vacuum has such positive reviews including:

Amazingly powerful for its size. Got construction dirt out of our new home’s hardwood floors that a bigger, more cumbersome vac had not picked up. Light, maneuverable and very easy to use. Love it!

My second choice would be the Dyson Animal Stick Vacuum (DC45AN) for $449.99. We have two cats and one of our big boys is a lovely black long-haired feline. That can be rather taxing on a vacuum cleaner. The animal line is designed to deal with pet hair and I know that would be a huge bonus in my household! There is cat hair everywhere – sometimes I feel like plastic wrapping the furniture! It is worse when they decide to join me in bed. They are warm furballs but they sure leave their fur lying around. I would also love the free headset with my new vacuum cleaner. Free Sennheiser Headphones with Dyson Purchase @ Future Shop ($150 Value) (EXPIRED)

This deal is a limited time offer only. You will know if it is still on as you will see this on the product page:

Score two free gifts valued at $4.99 each when you spend $50 or more on toys at Future Shop Canada.

I love getting free stuff when I buy items, so having two gifts with a $50 toy purchase is really cool. You will need to add both of these items to your cart so they can be discounted at checkout.

These are your two free gifts:

  1. Mattel Apptivity Angry Birds King Pig - $4.99 value

This single pack includes an iPad conductive base and the Angry Birds King Pig. With it, you can use them with the associated Angry Birds iPad app to launch your piggy across the screen. A fun little toy like this would make a great stocking-stuffer.

  1. Words With Friends Race Board Game – $4.99 value

My husband is a Words with Friends addict, so I understand the appeal of this fun little freebie. No board is needed in this speed version of Words with Friends, just play words as fast as you can with the 100 tiles included. Tiles come in two different colours so it is easy to tell who made what word. Store them in the included tin.

Now that you have seen your free items, let us check out some toy deals.

This Star Wars Mini Lightsaber Dark Side Detector was $19.95, and is now on sale for $9.95. It is a fun toy where you get to build your own mini light saber. If you belong to the light side, your saber will be blue. If you belong to the dark side, then your light saber will turn red.

Looking for an awesome party game based on your favourite geek show? Pick up Cryptozoic Big Bang Theory Board Game for just $9.99, saving you $20! The same game is $35.92 at Walmart so you are scoring quite the deal. Only 10 are left in stock.

For the lovely young women, this Mega Bloks Barbie Build n’ Style Convertible is just $9.99, originally $19.99. Combine it with some of the other deals above and your cart is getting close to that $50 minimum while you are saving a bundle on toys.

For children a bit too young for regular Lego, pick them this LEGO DUPLO Brick Box for just $12.99, originally $17.99. There are 31 pieces including a cat figurine and a dog figurine.

I also think that the Little Tikes Jelly Bean Racer is about the cutest thing ever. It is available in red (see previous link), Green, Orange, or Pink. Originally $22.99, they are now on sale for $15.99. These all cost $19.94 at Walmart Canada right now.

Receive free shipping on orders of $25 or more.

56% Off 2-Pack Oral-B Pro-Health Toothbrush @ Best Buy & Future Shop Canada – Now $13

56% Off 2 Pack Oral B Pro Health Toothbrush @ Best Buy & Future Shop Canada Now $13

Here’s a great deal on a pair of toothbrushes: you can get a 2-pack of Oral-B Pro-Health precision clean toothbrushes on sale for just $12.99. They were originally priced at $30, which puts them at a $17 discount.

This toothbrush is battery-operated and even has 3 modes to choose from: daily clean, sensitive or whitening. Surprisingly, it also has a timer to make sure that you brush your teeth for long enough. I know I’m guilty of not always brushing for the for two minutes, so this is definitely a major perk for lazy ones like me.

In terms of reviews, there is only one on Best Buy’s site and it’s a 3/5 star one, knocking it down for not being as pictured. According to the reviewer, “it’s just a small round brush“. Somewhat an odd statement because that is exactly what is shown in the picture: a small round tooth brush head! In fact, it’s designed to be that way in order to remove twice as much plaque as a regular tooth brush. Speaking of which, it’s definitely worth upgrading to a battery-operated one if you haven’t already. My hubby and I made the switch a couple of years ago and it feels beyond inefficient to sometimes have to resort to a regular one.

On Future Shop’s site, there are 2 reviews with a total of 4/5 stars. Here’s what one reviewer had to say about it:

Very happy with this purchase! Makes your teeth feel dentist office clean! Worth the money!!

Price comparing, I found this exact toothbrush being sold at Amazon for $45.46 and that’s just for one of these bad boys too! Okay, so it’s sold by the Duty Free Shop, through Amazon’s marketplace but it was still a shocking price to see, especially in comparison with Best Buy’s and Future Shop’s current price. At London Drugs, one of these toothbrushes is priced at $16.99.

Since both Best Buy and Future Shop only ship orders over $25 for free, you would need to add a couple more items to your cart in order to have your order qualify for free shipping. At both sites, you can currently take advantage of a “buy more, save more” promotion, during which you can save the following on personal care items depending on how much you buy: 10% off 3 items, 15% off 5 items or 20% of 8 or more products.
