Future Shop Canada: Epic Mickey 2 For The Nintendo Wii U | Final Clearance $10

Posted by on September 30, 2014 at 1:00 PM

Future Shop Canada: Epic Mickey 2 For The Nintendo Wii U | Final Clearance $10

If you’re a Disney fan, or even just a fan of adventure games on the Nintendo Wii U system, this deal just might intrigue you. Currently, Future Shop Canada is selling Epic Mickey 2: The Power Of Two for the Nintendo Wii U at a final clearance price of $9.97 (plus $5 shipping). Normally $34.99, this game has had its prices slashed several times since its release, but this is the lowest price I’ve ever seen for it.

Epic Mickey 2 allows you to play as two classic Disney characters: Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. It’s a fun adventure game that gives you plenty of different areas to explore.

I tried out the first Epic Mickey game for the original Wii system, and I thought it was a cute adventure that can have some challenging puzzles. It was pretty fun to play, and had some gorgeous visuals. Obviously, this Wii U sequel has even better graphics than the first instalment, and apparently has some creative ways for players to use the Wii U gamepad’s touchscreen throughout the game.

The first Mickey Mouse video game that I played was Mickey Mousecapades for the original Nintendo system. I got it on Christmas when I was just 3 years old, and I vaguely remember my older brother being upset that I didn’t pick Mega Man 2 instead (hey, I was 3! He had high expectations. Plus, I got Mega Man 2 on my 4th birthday – I was one lucky child!) Even though it was primitive and the gameplay wasn’t the greatest, I still have warm memories of playing Mickey Mousecapades for the NES.

You can currently pick up this game on Amazon for $14.44 (only 2 are still in stock as of this writing) and it’s $20.37 US on WalMart’s American website. I’ve included a snippet of a review from Nintendo Power below:

There’s a lot to like about Mickey’s return to Wasteland, and the follow-up does improve on its predecessor in a number of ways.

For $10, you can’t go wrong. Especially since this is a licensed Disney game, Epic Mickey 2 for the Wii U is an adventure worth exploring if you have the time to dive into it. Happy gaming, Bargainmoosers!

Future Shop Canada: Hamilton Beach Convection Toaster Oven 31509C | Was $63 Now $30 (EXPIRED)

Future Shop Canada: Hamilton Beach Convection Toaster Oven 31509C | Was $63 Now $30 (EXPIRED)

Good afternoon, my fellow Bargainmoosers! Today, Future Shop has their Hamilton Beach Convection Toaster Oven (31509C) on sale for only $29.99. It normally costs $62.99, which is actually pretty decent when compared to its price on other websites (feel free to read the rest of this post to find out how much it costs on Amazon and Shop.ca). You’ll also qualify for free shipping with your order.

If you’re looking for a useful counter top appliance, this non-stick 6 slice convection toaster oven/broiler may be the perfect machine for you. It even has an auto safety shut off feature, and a removable crumb tray.

As a teenager and young adult, I constantly used my toaster oven. My family never had one until I was a teen, so when we did get one, I used it on a regular basis. I ignored our toaster (which was eventually sold at a yard sale), and just used our toaster oven for most of my oven-related needs. It was especially handy when I’d buy some frozen foods or cookie dough after a long day at work! I really enjoyed using that toaster oven, it was just so convenient.

This Hamilton Beach Convection Toaster Oven currently costs $96.77 on Amazon, and it’s $79.99 on Shop.ca. Listed below is a snippet of a review of this toaster oven from a satisfied Amazon customer:

I’m pleasantly surprised by this toaster oven. We bought this for its compact size as we have limited counter space. We had low expectations but after 3 years it’s still working like it did when it was new. It doesn’t have a lot of features or bells and whistles and it doesn’t quite get as hot as our last toaster oven but it cooks fish steaks and chicken breasts for 2 people flawlessly (we use it like an oven) and it even toasts bread evenly too!

This deal will expire on October 2nd, so if you’re in the market for a new toaster oven, perhaps this Hamilton Beach Convection Toaster Oven would best suit your needs. Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Future Shop Canada: Paderno 11 – Piece Muskoka Cookware Set | Was $700 Now $180

Future Shop Canada: Paderno 11 Piece Muskoka Cookware Set | Was $700 Now $180

This deal is smokin’, my fellow Bargainmoosers! If you’ve been thinking about replacing your cookware, then this deal just might make you do that today – Future Shop currently has their Paderno 11 – Piece Muskoka Cookware Set on sale for $179.99! The regular price of this premium cookware set is $699.99! This is no joke – Paderno is known for their high end cookware sets. Plus, you’ll get free shipping with your order!

The Paderno 11 – Piece Muskoka Cookware Set includes a 1.5L saucepan, 2L saucepan, 4L saucepan with a helper handle, 3L casserole, 5L Dutch oven, 24 cm fry pan, and 5 stainless steel covers. You can learn more about the features of this high – end cookware set by clicking here.

I’ve been burned by purchasing cheap cookware sets before – mainly because they were made by unfamiliar brands, and I got it from Liquidation World. I got what I paid for, I guess (I found that some food would be exceptionally tough to scrub off of the frying pan – they also didn’t last very long). That’s why it’s worth it to get a premium cookware set, like this Paderno 11 – Piece Muskoka Cookware Set. I mean, this is a $700 product, so you’ll be able to get it for a huge bargain!

This premium cookware set currently sells for $699.99 on Paderno’s website, and it retails for $649.99 at Sears. Listed below is a brief review of this Paderno 11 – Piece Muskoka Cookware Set from a satisfied Future Shop customer below:

Excellent cookware, stacks well in the drawer, easy to use on a gas range. Like all metal pots and pans the handles get hot, but silicone gloves work great. Easy to clean, like that you do not need to use on full or high heat. All stainless steel, so no aluminum to worry about, and no non stick surface to scrape.

This deal will expire on October the 9th, but I’ll be surprised if they remain in stock. I hope you’re all enjoying your Sunday, Bargainmoosers!

Future Shop Canada: Monster NCredible NTune Headphones $74.99 (Save $50)

Posted by on September 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM

Future Shop Canada: Monster NCredible NTune Headphones $74.99 (Save $50)

Future Shop Canada is selling these stylish Monster NCredible NTune Headphones (version three) for just $74.99, originally $124.99. You save $50 and receive free shipping as the headset costs over $25 (the free shipping minimum).

Of course, I had to do some price comparing to make sure this was the absolute best deal for you. Without further ado, here is what the competitors are charging for the same headset. Keep in mind that Future Shop is selling version three, whereas the version for most of these headsets is unknown:

  • $119.37 @ Amazon Canada (V2)
  • $149.95 @ Staples Canada
  • $139.95 @ Newegg Canada
  • $129.99 @ The Source Canada
  • $79.88 @ Walmart Canada (black only)

Walmart comes very close to the price that Future Shop is offering, but they only have the black in stock and they are still $5 more expensive. The other retails are pretty much blown out of the water. As to be expected, Best Buy matches the price of Future Shop because they are sister stores. Therefore, if the headphones sell out at Future Shop, you can also score this deal at Best Buy.

In these headphones, seriously, do not buy black. They have some really sexy colours out there including green, blue, and the most perfect red ever made. You could call it ‘Hell Red’ because it looks like hot lava or fire. The green and blue are so deeply saturated that they look like candy – ear candy!

The headphones have powerful bass, comfortable earpieces, and you can use ControlTalk to control your music and calls all from your headset. Your package will include a manual, carrying pouch, cleaning cloth, the 3.5mm Controltalk cable, and the headset itself.

One reviewer says:

I unfortunately bought a pair of over the ear BOSE headphones and lost them and really it wasn’t a loss to me CONSIDERING… I just bought these Monster Headphones to replace them and I couldn’t be happier! Huge sound and strong base, the best headphones I’ve ever had!

Ouch! What a harsh criticism on the BOSE headset but major kudos to these Monster headphones. I have owned Monster before and found they delivered strong base. However, I have previously found Monster headphones to be rather heavy so I am interested in these as they are advertised as lightweight.

What colour are you going to buy Moosers? I think I would go red as it matches my favourite rain jacket!

Future Shop Canada: Skylanders Swap Force Starter Kit (PS4, Xbox One, Wii U) | Was $60 Now $30 (Expired)

Posted by on September 14, 2014 at 9:11 AM

Future Shop Canada: Skylanders Swap Force Starter Kit (PS4, Xbox One, Wii U) | Was $60 Now $30 (Expired)

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, or if you do your best to ignore everything related to video games, it’s likely that you’ve heard of Skylanders. These collectable figurines are wildly popular with children, since they’re so unique – after all, these toys are used to play a video game! You simply place the figurine of a character that you want to play as on a portal, and in no time at all you’ll see that toy come to life in the Skylanders video game! At this time, Future Shop is having a decent sale on the PS4, Xbox One, and Wii U versions of the Skylanders Swap Force starter kit (the latest entry in the series) – you can order a starter kit of this game for just $29.99! It typically costs $59.99 for both the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. You’ll also qualify for free shipping if you order this game, so that’s another great bonus!

The Skylanders Swap Force starter kit comes with the game, portal, 3 figurines that you can use in the game, and some trading cards.

Whether you’re a kid or an adult, these Skylanders games are pretty fun. They revolutionized the genre, and they even have an imitator that’s out in the market (The Disney Infinity series of games). The current rumour is that a new Skylanders game is on the horizon, which is why Skylanders Swap Force starter kits are currently on sale at Future Shop. Regardless of that, it’s still a great deal – especially if you’ve never tried out any Skylanders video games before.

I’ve tried out this game at an in -store kiosk before (they have these at many retail locations, including Future Shop, Best Buy, and even Target). It’s very intriguing, and a lot of fun. If you’ve ever wanted your toys to come to life, this is the next best thing! Plus, the character designs are pretty creative for these figurines, so I can see why this series has so many fans.

Skylanders Swap Force typically retails for $59.99, but it’s also on sale at Best Buy for the same price of $29.99 (as we all know, Best Buy and Future Shop tend to share some deals at the same time). However, it currently costs $59.99 at Toys R Us and WalMart. I’ve also included a brief review of Skylanders Swap Force (the Wii U version) from a Future Shop customer below:

The game was really cool, totally different, and they can jump now! Also, another good thing about the new one is the fact that you can still use the old Skylanders.

Quantities are limited, so get these while you can. Hope you all enjoy your Sunday, Bargainmoosers!

Future Shop: Philips PowerTouch Men’s Shaver $89.99 (Save $40)

Posted by on September 12, 2014 at 6:30 PM

Future Shop: Philips PowerTouch Mens Shaver $89.99 (Save $40)

Enjoy $40 off the Philips PowerTouch Men’s Shaver (PT920/20) at Future Shop Canada. Originally $129.99, this three headed shaver is now on sale for $89.99 with free shipping.

I price compared with a few places to ensure that you are getting a quality deal. The same shaver is

  • $129.99 @ BestBuy.ca
  • $129.99 @ Sears.ca
  • $129.96 @ Walmart.ca
  • $121.12 @ Amazon.ca

As you can quickly observe, Future Shop Canada has the best deal while only Amazon Canada even deviates from the original price. Even so, Future Shop still beats Amazon’s price by over $30.

The Philips is a dry shaver, with no shaving cream needed (or allowed – I assume). However, you can wash the shaver to take out leftover hair that sticks around. The shaver claims to give you a close shave by contouring to your face and neck (etc). However, I have never really found these shavers to be as good as a wet razor myself. My husband uses one exactly like this and when it doesn’t look like a blind man has tried to shave an ape (granted my husband’s vision isn’t that great), it still doesn’t provide a remarkably even trim in my books. Granted, his is an older model so they may have improved things since then.

The shaver has a pop-up trimmer for styling your manly hair. This is a great idea and should be used for tidying up beards and making them look more presentable instead of letting the scruff just spread.

You will receive one hour of cordless shaving from this unit, and it only requires one hour charging. There are indicator lights to let you know when your battery is low, full, and when you have done a quick charge. Quick charge is one of the features that I like about this shaver. If you have forgotten to charge your razor, you can pop it on the charger while you shower and three minutes of charging will give you enough juice for one shave. Given our busy schedules and hectic mornings, I can see this feature coming in very handy for many men.

This shaver comes with a charging stand, soft pouch, cleaning brush, and a protection cap that is great for travel. There is no need to keep your blades exposed when your shaver rides in your dopp kit.

The Philips shaver will ship for free as it costs over the $25 minimum for free shipping at Future Shop Canada.

Best Buy/ Future Shop Canada: PS4 Wireless Controller – Just $50 (Reg. $65)

Posted by on September 10, 2014 at 3:30 PM

Best Buy/ Future Shop Canada: PS4 Wireless Controller Just $50 (Reg. $65)Back in August, I blogged about a $15 discount on the PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 wireless controller at Amazon but given that the deal didn’t last very long at all, I thought I would update all of you moosers with another such deal. This time, you can get the PS4 controller for $50 at either Best Buy or Future Shop, but hurry because this deal expires in two days. The original retail price of this remote was of $65.

Whether you already have a PlayStation 4 console or are looking to get one, this deal is definitely worth taking advantage of ASAP, especially if you have been wanting to have a total of 4 controllers. To give you an idea, if you are looking to get 3 extra controllers on top of the one that came with the console for a total of four, then you would be looking at paying $150 instead of $195, which is a total of $45 in savings. Add to that taxes and you will be looking at even more savings!

Even better is that you don’t have to get the extra controller(s) in all black either are you can choose between black, glacier (white) or wave blue. Sadly pink hasn’t been added to the variety of colours yet as the PlayStation 3 had been but here’s to hoping that it gets added soon! Best Buy/ Future Shop Canada: PS4 Wireless Controller Just $50 (Reg. $65)

On average, the PS4 remote control has also garnered 4 stars out 5, with reviews like this one:

The ps4 controller is awesome, feels amazing, thumb sticks are tight and accurate. By far better than the Xbox controllers and any pervious PS controller.

Although hailed as the most comfortable controller released so far by PlayStation, the biggest complaint from the gaming community has been with regards to the battery life. However, you can rest assured that on top of easily recharging it, you can also try a number of other solution like dimming the lightbar, turning of the sound on the controller, and enabling the auto-off remote’s auto-off feature. There is also the option of turning off the remote’s vibration but personally, I wouldn’t try that as it does serve to enhance game play. In fact, you could take advantage of these deals to get an extra controller, so that you can swap out when one needs recharging.

The cheapest you can get this remote anywhere else right now is at Amazon for $59.99, which makes both Best Buy’s and Future Shop’s discounts that much better!

Your order is also sure to qualify for free shipping as both Best Buy and Future Shop automatically ships orders totalling over $25 for free.

Future Shop Canada: $100 Off Coaster Writing Desk with Chair – Now $99.99

Posted by on September 7, 2014 at 9:00 PM

Future Shop Canada: $100 Off Coaster Writing Desk with Chair Now $99.99

Save 50% on this Coaster Writing Desk with Chair in cappuccino. Originally $199.99, this writing desk with built in shelves and chair is now on sale for $99.99.

This is a pretty minimalistic desk and accompanying chair in wood. You have the top surface, and two open shelves to store books, writing accessories, a printer, or whatever else you need on them to reduce clutter on your desk. The chair tucks neatly under the desk when not in use and – of course – matches the desk for lovely set.

This is not the kind of desk you need to hide away in a back corner of the spare bedroom somewhere. It is a nice enough piece of furniture you could have it in your living room or den without it looking out of place. The set does require assembly when it reaches you. Most assembly is better with two people so grab a friend, a cold beverage, and turn up the music. It will be constructed in no time. Just pass on the wine or else it might be constructed with some missing pieces!

While some people are disregarding desks as a thing of the past – what with laptops and so many other surfaces available.  However, I still think it is a good idea to have a dedicated work space if you either work from home or have children who need the computer for their homework. I currently use my kitchen table because of space constraints. It makes it hard to set the table and get ready for dinner because my computer, mouse, and everything piled around me has to be moved off. It also makes it super tempting to be on the computer while I eat, which is not healthy for me or for my relationships. Furthermore, I am not sure the when the last time I saw the table entirely cleaned off was because my laptop and work stuff is always on it. Thus, I highly recommend a dedicated desk.

Oddly enough, the dimensions of this set are not given. However, I expect it to be quite compact given the image and the original price.

You will receive free shipping on this desk and chair set by Coaster because it retails for over $25, which is the free shipping minimum on Future Shop Canada.

Future Shop Canada: Last Of Us Remastered For PS4 Was $55 Now $40

Future Shop Canada: Last Of Us Remastered For PS4 Was $55 Now $40

This deal is bound to please many PS4 fans. Thanks to this recent promotion from Future Shop, you can indulge in some of the best gameplay you can find on the system for a discounted price! You can get The Last Of Us Remastered, which normally retails for $55, for $39.99 – that’s $15 off! Plus, if you order this online from Future Shop’s website, shipping will be free as it surpasses the minimum order! This game has won over 200 “game of the year” awards from different publications and websites, so yeah – it’s a very highly ranked video game.

Originally created for the PS3, The Last Of Us garnered rave reviews from both critics and gamers, who cited the title’s unique gameplay and great fun factor. Recently remastered for the newfangled Sony PS4 system, there are many fans of the game who happily purchased this newer version of the game (even if they already had it for their PS3). It’s just that fun to play.

I just got the game a few months ago for my PS3 system (I don’t have a PS4 at this time), and even though I don’t normally play games in this genre very much at this time, I’ve been having a blast with The Last Of Us. It’s also created by Naughty Dog, the company behind the original Crash Bandicoot games for the PS1 – remember how fun those games were? With remastered visuals and some extras, The Last Of Us Remastered for the PS4 is a great purchase for gamers.

You can currently find the game at The Source for $55, and it’s on sale at Amazon for $50. I’ve included a brief review for The Last Of Us Remastered from a satisfied customer from The Source below:

This game is a work of art. The storyline and game play make you feel as if you are a part of the story. This is the best game for PS4 and I hope they create more of it. The only problem I have with the game is the ending. I didn’t want it to end!

According to the Future Shop website, quantities are limited, so get this while you can. Hope you enjoy your Friday, Bargainmoosers!

Future Shop Canada: Mario Kart Wii (Used) Was $35 Now $15 (Expired)

Posted by on September 3, 2014 at 8:12 AM

Future Shop Canada: Mario Kart Wii (Used) Was $35 Now $15 (Expired)

At Bargainmoose, we love affordable prices. For instance, let’s take a look at Future Shop’s limited time deal for Mario Kart Wii. Normally retailing at $40 for a new copy, you can typically get this game used at Future Shop (of course, if you can find a used copy of this classic but still hugely popular game) for $35. At this time, you can pick up a used copy of Mario Kart Wii for just $15! Shipping typically ends up costing $2, but if you have a minimum order of $25, you can get free shipping. Quantities are limited, so act quickly, folks!

Though it’s not the newest Mario Kart game on the block (Mario Kart Wii U is wowing gamers worldwide at the moment), Mario Kart Wii is still a bona fide classic that’s still entertaining both hardcore and casual gamers. You get to race as most of your favourite Nintendo characters, such as Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Donkey Kong, and even Yoshi, that green dinosaur that Mario’s been riding for far too long.

There’s no doubt about it – this game is simply fun. You can race with up to 4 players at the same time, ensuring that you’ll be having fun with this title for many years to come. Even though this is a game for the original Nintendo Wii system, it’s also compatible with the new Wii U system (as long as you have a Wii Mote controller).

My first Mario Kart game was for the Super Nintendo, and I still remember playing the game’s primitive yet thrilling battle mode with my older brother constantly throughout the years. We usually pulled out this game whenever our TV was boring us (hey, this was a time when Saturday afternoons were filled with infomercials). To this day, the Mario Kart franchise is loved by many video game players, and it’s easy to see why.

When seeking out a used copy of Mario Kart Wii, it costs $34.99 at Best Buy. Listed below is a snippet of a review of Mario Kart Wii from Eurogamer:

Ultimately, the sheer sensory pleasure of playing Mario Kart Wii – from the charming animations, to the bopping tunes, to the sugar-rush boosting, to the exquisite steering – far overcomes the few concerns we have about it. It still has to be docked a mark for the awkward structure and compromised multiplayer modes – but it’s still unreservedly recommended to anyone for whom Mario Kart is a gaming cornerstone.

Quantities are limited, so get this deal while it’s still available! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Future Shop: Xbox One + Kinect + Watch Dogs LE + Forza 5 Was $650, Now $500! (Expired)

Posted by on September 2, 2014 at 12:00 PM

Future Shop: Xbox One + Kinect + Watch Dogs LE + Forza 5 Was $650, Now $500! (Expired)

Are you peering into the figurative window of next generation video game consoles? If you’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to “take the plunge” and start enjoying the latest generation of Xbox, this deal may be a perfect fit for you. At Future Shop, they’re offering a tantalizing Xbox One package, valued at $650, for only $500 - plus free shipping! Quantities are limited, so if you’re interested, I’d highly recommend purchasing this as soon as you can.

This great package includes the Xbox One system, Kinect sensor, the limited edition version of Watch Dogs, and a download code for Forza Motorsport 5, all for just $500! Getting an Xbox One with these extras at this price is really something special. The system (with the Kinect sensor and Forza 5) typically retails for $500 at Future Shop and Best Buy. Watch Dogs LE usually sells for $150 at Future Shop, but it’s currently on sale for $100.

I’ll admit it – I was very close to purchasing an Xbox One when it originally launched back in November. I really enjoy playing my Xbox 360 (when I have the time to kick back and relax a bit, of course), and I figured that the next generation of Xbox would be just as great. However, what made me rethink my decision was the fact that the system isn’t backwards compatible with Xbox 360 games. Also, their catalogue of available games wasn’t deep enough for me (as is the case with most video game consoles around their launch date).

Watch Dogs has been one of the most anticipated games of the year, and this package from Future Shop will easily please any gamer – especially if it ends up being a Christmas present! I’ve included a brief review of Watch Dogs from Shacknews below:

Watch Dogs could’ve easily been Grand Theft Auto with tech equipment. But Ubisoft Montreal has managed to flesh out this experience as something more, making fantastic use of the technology and applying it just right to deliver a remarkably deep experience.

Is the time right to buy an Xbox One? It really depends on your gaming preferences. If you’re a Mario fan, stick with the Wii U, since it has a plethora of great games on the horizon, like Super Smash Bros. U. If you prefer a more serious gaming experience, then the Xbox One may be the right choice for you. Plus, Halo 5 is coming out next year, and I’m sure that Microsoft has plenty of other surprises up its sleeve.

Happy gaming, Bargainmoosers! Quantities are limited, so get this deal while you still can!

15.6″ Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop: Save $200, Only $499 @ BestBuy / FutureShop (Expired)

Posted by on August 30, 2014 at 1:00 PM

15.6 Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop: Save $200, Only $499 @ BestBuy / FutureShop (Expired)

If you’re on the hunt for a reasonable priced laptop, consider the deal on this 15.6″ Dell Inspiron 15 – there’s a $200 saving on it right now if you’re buying from either Best Buy or Future Shop. Down from $699.99, you can pick up this Dell laptop for only $499.99.

The above Dell Inspiron laptop comes with free shipping from either of those stores.

As for the specification, I’ll highlight a few of the more important facts:

  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4210U   (1.7 GHz)
  • Hard Drive: 1 TB
  • RAM: 8 GB DDR3
  • Native Screen Resolution: 1366 x 768
  • OS: Windows 8.1 (64-Bit)

Very good price for an i5 machine!

Just note that this laptop doesn’t have a disc drive… but who needs one of those, these days?

If you are buying this Dell laptop, it doesn’t make much difference as to which store from which you make your purchase. However, if you are buying from FutureShop, the sites offers you a few bundle deals which you might want to add on to your purchase, such as:

Just add those to your cart along with the laptop, for the bundle pricing.

From what I can see, this is the 5000 series of Dell Inspiron laptops. Their basic one with a similar (identical?) specification – the price starts at $579.99 on the Dell website itself, so it’s definitely a much better price to buy through Best Buy or FutureShop.

Perhaps if you are about to head back to school or university, or have a family member who is, this could be an ideal study aid, in a pretty decent price range.

HP Photosmart Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer Only $40 & Free Shipping @ BestBuy / FutureShop

HP Photosmart Wireless All In One Inkjet Printer Only $40 & Free Shipping @ BestBuy / FutureShop

If you are in need of a new inexpensive printer, this HP model from either FutureShop or BestBuy might fit the bill. It’s a deal on the HP PS6520 Photosmart Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer. The regular price is $149.99 but you can pick it up right now for only $39.99 with free shipping, from either store.

Price comparison wise, this particular model of printer doesn’t seem to be available from any other retailers, it seems to be an exclusive to the BestBuy and Futureshop stores. The price speaks for itself really.

Now, even though this is a great price on an HP printer, I will say that it’s probably not going to last you a lifetime. It’s an entry-level HP printer, and quite a basic model. There are a number of reviews on Futureshop from various people and they’re a little mixed, with the printer only receiving a score of just over two out of five. You can read the full reviews on the Futureshop link above, but there are big variations.

Photos come out amazing!

The black head no longer prints even though the ink level is full.

That latter comment seemed to be a concern from a few people. The HP PS6520 Photosmart Wireless All-In-One Inkjet Printer gets a slightly higher score on BestBuy, with comments such as, “Great all-around printer.” However, one customer stated:

For the cost of this ink, you could buy a brand new printer every time your cartridges run out.

This is definitely something to consider… and really a worrying trend to be honest. Electronics like this seem to be so disposable nowadays that people consider just buying a new printer instead of replacement ink!

Obviously you’ve got a full year’s warranty on the HP printer so if anything happens in that time, you’d be covered. But remember, you’re not paying a fortune for this item, so if anything goes wrong a couple of years down the line, you’re not too much out of pocket. It’s a great price to start with.

White Coaster 3 Piece Dining Set For Only $49.97 & Free Shipping @ FutureShop /BestBuy Canada (Quick)

There is limited stock of this deal, so it might not last for long… the White Coaster 3-Piece Dining Set has recently been reduced and just now, you can pick it up for only $49.97 with free shipping to your home!

I’ve put both links above as I am not sure how their stock works… if there’s a limited number or if one store sells out, and the other does not. It’s up to you to choose which you buy it from, it’s the same price and the same deal for the same item.

What you get:

  • White 3-piece table set
  • 2 armless ladder back dining chairs

This Coaster dining set would be absolutely ideal if you have a small kitchen or dining area, and only need a couple of chairs. It’s a fantastic price!

If you did want to go a little larger, there’s another deal on the Cappuccino coloured Coaster 5-Piece Dining Set from Best Buy – it’s only $69.97. So, if you’ve got a little more space or need a few extra chairs, consider spending the extra twenty bucks and up-sizing.

Obviously, at these price points, the Coaster dining sets are probably not going to be ultra-durable and long-lasting, but I imagine that you should get your money’s worth out of their usage.
