The guys over on TMZ found an interesting item on Sears.com. They were offering a grill which was under the category “Human Cooking > Grills to cook babies and more > Body part roaster.”

A Sears customer service representative reportedly said, “Oh my God. This is horrible. Oh my God.”

In a statement to Fox News, Sears said, “We discovered earlier today that someone visiting our site had defaced a limited number of product pages. We’ve already taken steps to prevent this from happening again.”

While it’s not Sears Canada, it’s still a pretty funny thing, so I thought I would share!!

The poor doggy – it looks haunted! The creepy music makes the clip even funnier.

OK, I’m not even going to try and disguise it and trick you guys, I’ll just blog about it. This week’s meme is the “Rick Roll!”

So here’s what people do: when participating in normal forum chat, someone posts a link to a helpful resource on the topic of discussion. Unbeknownst to the forum members until they click through… it actually links to the Rick Astley music video “Never gonna give you up.” It’s known as an “interruption fad.”

While not in my usual deal-hunting category, this report caught my attention so I thought I’d do a quick blog post about it. McAfee have done a study on the most risky search terms on google, with some interesting results!

What’s it all about?

McAfee analysed the results of certain google searches. They class a result as risky if it leads to a compromise of your security, e.g. downloading a virus or a Trojan horse, or a link to a phishing site. You can read the whole report here if you want a more thorough explanation than that.

It seems that hackers and naughty folk are using current popular terms to lure us to a website… then they have their wicked way!

Risky business in Canada

Above is the graph of the top ten risky search terms in Canada. The term lyrics is nearly twice as risky as the next result, Kijiji.

So if you’re off googling Pamela Anderson or Jessica Alba in your spare time – be careful!

This week, here’s a rib tickling meme for you. It’s Miss Teen South Carolina, a beauty pageant entrant. When asked why a fifth of Americans can’t locate the US on a world map…. hilarity ensued…

OK, we probably shouldn’t be laughing at this one… but she’s just so dumb!

This video was originally recorded by Ghyslain Raza, a 14 year old French Canadian high school student… who went on to internet fame!

Now, it has gone on to spawn many more off-spins, such as this digitally remastered version, complete with light saber special effects! It’s been all over the place too, such as on American Dad, South Park, & Weird Al Yankovich’s White And Nerdy (1.25).

This week, I’m showing you “Daft Hands.” It’s a good little video, and a good little tune. The video takes about 50 seconds before the lyrics start, but it’s worth the wait.

What’s really special about this video is that it was done in one take, no edits, no breaks.
