Canadian Freebie: Free Coffee on September 29th @ 7-Eleven

Posted by on September 28, 2014 at 7:30 PM

Canadian Freebie: Free Coffee on September 29th @ 7 Eleven

We have seen a few coffee deals lately – and some of them were even free. Not to be out done by all those posh morning coffee joints where you might get your breakfast too, 7-Eleven is offering free coffee on Monday. Who doesn’t need a caffeine kick on Mondays anyway?

You will receive a free medium size drip coffee, any flavour, with the 7-Eleven App. It is the usual ‘redeem your free coupon’ thing via the 7-11 app like the slurpee freebies are. You can get your free coffee between 7 A.M. and 11:00 A.M local time. This offer is in celebration of National Coffee Day.

While I hate coffee, flavoured coffee is a different matter. Some of that stuff is actually pretty good if it has enough sugar in it and it tastes like vanilla or something else sweet.

With this promo, 7-Eleven is also introducing a new coffee program where every seventh cup of coffee you buy is free. Here is how it works:

  • Text BREW to 711711 to download the app (unless you already have it)
  • Register
  • Scan every time you purchase ANY size coffee.
  • Click the $ icon at the top of the screen to see all available offers.
  • Every seventh coffee is FREE! (medium)

Technically, you can buy six small coffees and your seventh coffee will still be a free medium. If you are a coffee addict, then this is going to be a very nice feature moving forward. This promotion is on for a limited time and excludes iced coffees. Some locations may not offer it, so check with the location you frequent.

I hope a bunch of our Moosers enjoy their free coffee. If you pick up any exotic flavours, then drop us a line in the comments below telling us what flavour you tried. I wonder if they have any autumn flavours like pumpkin or such.

Free 7-Select Drink on Friday @ 7-Eleven Canada With App

Posted by on August 28, 2014 at 6:00 PM

Free 7 Select Drink on Friday @ 7 Eleven Canada With App

Tomorrow, pop into your local 7-Eleven to pick up a free 7-Select Drink (591 ml) when you use the 7-Eleven app on your phone.

For this deal, you will need your smart phone and the 7-Eleven app. You will also need to sign up for an account to view and use the coupons. When you arrive in store, you click on the offer for the free 7-Select Drink (it will also show you what percentage of digital coupons for the drink are still available). You will then have 15 minutes for the checkout till to scan the coupon on your phone.

7-Select is 7-Eleven’s own brand of drinks. I am not sure how much they retail for on a regular basis – but free is certainly a nice price to pay for anything, even a bottle of pop. Expect the usual array of flavours, with cola being the most popular. If you have never tried 7-Select, they evidently have a ton of food under the brand. Just Googling ’7-Select products’ brings up pictures of everything from cream cheese jalapenos in a crispy breading to homemade vanilla ice cream.

I do not know whether this free drink offer will include juices or things like lemonade/ice tea. I hope that the fine print on the coupon itself, when it comes live tomorrow, will clear that up for prospective users. In app, you can easily find your local 7-Eleven store by using the map system. You can also view other deals currently offered in store through the phone application.

This offer is while quantities last. Check the app before heading to your local store to make sure there are still free bottles of pop available.

Free Jolly Ranchers on Friday with 7-Eleven App

Posted by on August 21, 2014 at 5:00 PM

Free Jolly Ranchers on Friday with 7 Eleven App

Pop into your local 7-Eleven store this Friday for a box of free Jolly Ranchers Chews with your 7-Eleven phone app.

For this deal, all you need is a smart phone (either android or iPhone) and the app. You will also need to sign up for an account to view and use the coupons. When you arrive in store, you click on the offer for the free Jolly Ranchers Chews. You will then have 15 minutes for checkout. The till needs to scan your coupon within that set amount of time.

Freebies are always great, and if you are stopping by a 7-Eleven anyways then you should certainly pick these up. I would not make a separate trip for them, as they are only worth a couple dollars at most. However, if your local 7-Eleven is convenient, why not? My local 7-Eleven corner store is all of one block away, thus I really have no excuse not to pick up these freebies.

I remember eating these, or something quite like these, when I was a kid. Fruit chews were my favourite unless I bit into a banana flavoured one. Yuk. While they are not exactly healthy, they are a nice treat. From the advertisement we received, it looks like you will receive a 58g box of tropical flavoured chews. The flavours in this box are:

  • Pineapple
  • Strawberry – Kiwi
  • Lemon – Lime
  • Tropical Punch

I looked up reviews for the chews and found a few on Amazon. This person rather expresses my views on fruit chews:

these delicious morsels are so good they are addictive. every time I have one, I end up have at least 2-3 more. they are irresistible! I also highly recommend the original flavors which are also quite good.

They are so dangerously addictive… try having just one!

The 7-Eleven app is a good app to have around all year around. They often do free chocolate bars, free Slurpees, and other coupons that give you discounts on everything from food to SIM cards. It is one of the best store apps out there because of the number of freebies they give to Canadians all year around.

This offer is while quantities last. Check the app before heading to your local store to make sure there are still free chews available.

Boston Pizza Coupon: Printable Free Kids Meal in Ontario & Alberta!

Posted by on August 12, 2014 at 9:00 AM

Boston Pizza Coupon: Printable Free Kids Meal in Ontario & Alberta!

If you like to dine out as a family every once in a while and want to save some extra money, you will want to check out the new Boston Pizza printable coupon.  Get a free kids meal at all Alberta and Ontario locations from now until the end of October 2014.

I am excited for this printable coupons for a few different reasons.  The first reason being that I live in Alberta so I can actually use it.  The second is that I have kids and we visit Boston Pizza about once a month for a dinner out so this coupon will not go to waste for me.  The third is that it will help save on my budget since their meals are big enough for my two boys to split.  We will end up just paying for my husband’s meal and my meal, which is a great deal!

Now it does not have a lot of information on this coupon other than you will get a free kids meal between now and October 30th and that is can only be used in locations in the provinces of Alberta and Ontario.  It doesn’t say you can only print off one, it doesn’t say you need to even order anything with it to get the free kids meal and it doesn’t say you can only use one coupon per person. You may get lucky and be able to use more than one if you have more than one child.  I will assume it will be left up to the Boston Pizza you attend but make sure to point that out if you are trying to use two of these coupons for one meal.

If you have yet to go to Boston Pizza with your kids, The meals are fairly big.  I have two boys ages 3 years old and 4 years old and they always split a meal.  They usually get a mini pizza and french fries and then share the dessert treats as well, and it seems to be more than enough for them. A couple of other favourites for them is the pasta kids meal and the grilled cheese kids meal as well.

What is your kid’s favourite kids meal at Boston Pizza?

Marble Slab Canada Freebie: BOGO Ice Cream Cones – July 20th Only

Posted by on July 19, 2014 at 10:00 PM

Marble Slab Canada Freebie: BOGO Ice Cream Cones July 20th Only

What do you have planned tomorrow? Whatever it is, you better make sure to swing by a Marble Slab store as well because they’re hosting a BOGO event on all cones! Stop by any Marble Slab between 11am and 2pm on Sunday, July 20th 2014, to take advantage of a “buy one, get one free” deal on all ice cream cones.

Although it’s a BOGO deal, this promotion only extends to the regular size for the free cone. This means that you need to get either a regular or larger sized ice cream cone in order to get a second one of regular size for free.

Marble Slab’s promotion is actually in celebration of both Ice Cream Day and Ice Cream Month. As it turns out, President Reagan proclaimed the month of July to be national ice cream month with the third Sunday being national ice cream day and since Marble Slab was founded in Houston, Texas, this promotion makes total sense.

Although there are no Marble Slab stores where I live, I’m still super excited about Marble Slab’s offer for all of you who can enjoy it, especially since it features unlimited mix-ins. I’m a huge fan of Dairy Queen and have been getting a chocolate extreme blizzard a little too frequently this summer but the charge for extra ingredients is definitely a big turn-off.

At Marble Slab though, you can choose among 20 different mixins to add to your ice cream cone like bananas, brownie bits, Butterfinger, chocolate chips, cookie dough, Oreo cookies, sparkles, etc. Heck, you can even add strawberries!

Be sure to also snap a picture of your cone and hashtag it #MSCHappyHour to be entered to win 1 of 2 $10 gift cards. It may not be the best contest prize ever but it’s still better than nothing, especially since it’s a super easy one to fulfill!

Did you know that Bargainmoose’s forum is frequently updated with all of Marble Slab’s latest printable coupons? Be sure to sign up to get all of their coupons delivered straight to your inbox as soon as they are released. In fact, Marble Slab frequently makes coupons available for discounts on ice cream cones, ice cream cakes, smoothies and many others.

Moosers, what is your favourite flavour of ice cream at Marble Slab? And which mixins do you choose?

Mandarin Canada: Free Buffet On Canada Day

Posted by on June 30, 2014 at 9:30 AM

Mandarin Canada: Free Buffet On Canada Day

Tomorrow, head on in to any Mandarin location and get yourself a free buffet dinner to celebrate Canada’s birthday!

To get your free meal, you must be a citizen of Canada and be able to provide proof with your birth certificate, passport or citizenship card. If your immediate family member works there, you are also out of luck, as these people are not eligible. You are going to have to wait in line to get in, as there are no reservations and from what I’ve seen in previous years, the line gets long. Everyone who is in your party must wait in the line, so this includes your rangy kids and your elderly grandmother. I’d suggest bringing fold-up chairs and electronic devices for the wait.

You can’t go in and fill up a take-out box either, you have to sit and eat there, which is totally cool, as you’ll get full-service including all non-alcoholic drinks free. Tips are not included so since you are getting this free and you know your server will be driven mad that day, leave them a nice big tip to thank them for working on such a nice day on our Canadian holiday.

I actually do like Mandarin although I have never taken my kids there except when one was in my belly at nine months pregnant and I absolutely had to have Chinese buffet. My kids love buffets with all their choices and this is a family-friendly restaurant.

Bargainmoosers, let me know in the comments below if you are going to brave the line-ups to get some free meals. Have you ever been to their Canada Day free buffet before and do you have any tips for others?

David’s Tea: Free Tea of The Day For Nurses & Nursing Students

Posted by on May 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM

Davids Tea: Free Tea of The Day For Nurses & Nursing Students

If you are fancying a tea today and are a Nurse or Nursing student, get it free by simply walking into any David’s Tea.

While I don’t see how you prove your status as a nurse, this deal includes nurses, nursing students and PSWs. All of these lovely people need to be thanked for the thankless work they often do. David’s Tea recognizes this and wants to give you the ultimate mini comfort of a cup of tea!

I’ve had many nurses in my life and while I’ve had my share of ones I’ve never met, some of them were literal lifesavers. I’ll never forget the nurses who helped me through the birth of my first child and coincidentally one had the first name of my maternal grandmother and the other had the first name of my paternal grandmother. I thought it was a sign. I had a c-section, so required quite a bit of care and understanding with a first baby and they weren’t just there to do the medical stuff, they helped me emotionally and practically.

I’m not sure what kind of tea you’ll get free, but David’s Tea has so many different kinds and flavours from white, green, black to rooibos and herbal. Take a break today and head on in! The chocolate macaroon sounds divine!

Canadian Freebie: Sin-Free Sugar

Posted by on May 2, 2014 at 10:00 AM

Canadian Freebie: Sin Free Sugar

Have we got a sweet freebie for you! Get a free sample of Sin-Free Sugar mailed to you at no cost!

Sin-Free Sugar contains no calories, no fructose or other artificial ingredients, and is diabetic friendly. It is also fantastic for anyone who is watching their sugar intake which isn’t diabetic.

I like to do sugar substitutes in most of my baking that I can get away with because I am trying to cut down on the calories and also on too heavily processed foods. White sugar (and let’s face it, white flour) are really heavily processed and account for a lot of the calories in a recipe with hardly any nutritional value. So I tend to do sugar substitutes and am excited to try this one out.

I highly doubt the sample packs are large enough for me to try in baking, but I will be able to try it out in my tea to see the flavour. I certainly know that not all sweeteners are created equal: some have a real chemical taste to them and others taste just fine. It looks like you get three 5g packages of the sugar. That actually might be enough for me to try out in a pizza crust.

I just ordered mine, place your order soon!

Pet Freebie: Free Can of Royal Canin Cat Food

Posted by on April 11, 2014 at 12:30 PM

Pet Freebie: Free Can of Royal Canin Cat Food

If you have a cat, or just like freebies, check this one out for a can of Royal Canin cat food.

Getting your freebie is easy and of course I already did it. You have to choose what kind of food you need for your cat or kitten, then enter your information. Considering this freebie is on Facebook, you’ll probably need an account. I have two senior cats, and while they didn’t have a specific senior cat food, I chose the spayed and neutered brand, as that usually means they’ll get a little larger and slower.

You can also choose between weight gain, skin and coat support, active cats, new kittens and older kittens. Once you enter in your info, you’ll get a coupon for your free can.

I normally feed my cats hard food, but as they get older, they might like the wet food better as it isn’t as hard on their aging teeth. I know one of my cats devours the wet food in sauce, as they call it, but my other can take it or leave it. This is a great time to try this brand and see if they like it. Royal Canin is definitely a well-known name brand in cat and dog nutrition.

Ben & Jerry’s: Free Cone Day

Ben & Jerrys: Free Cone Day

Free ice cream! Did I get your attention? I should hope so! Ben & Jerry’s has its annual Free Cone Day tomorrow, where you get a free ice cream cone.

Ever since 1979, Ben & Jerrys has been giving away free ice cream to say thank you to their fans. While there aren’t a lot of locations located in Canada, if you do have one near you, go and get your free ice cream.

Sadly, I can’t say that I’ve had Ben & Jerrys ice cream. I think this really is a travesty as I am a huge ice cream fan and probably don’t know what I’m missing. When I check out their list of flavours, pretty much all of them want to be in my belly, but the ones that really stand out include chunky monkey, chocolate peanut butter swirl and coconut seven layer bar. Oh, and butter pecan. And I can’t forget chocolate fudge brownie. Or milk & cookies. Ok, they all stand out. Get in ma belly!

The deal doesn’t say what size of cone or what flavour, so if you know or you find out, let me know!

PizzaPizza: Free Slice of Pizza When you Trade in an old Ink Cartridge or Small Electronic

Posted by on April 7, 2014 at 10:00 AM

PizzaPizza: Free Slice of Pizza When you Trade in an old Ink Cartridge or Small Electronic

Trade in junk for Pizza Pizza pizza. Free Pizza Pizza pizza!

Apparently every April since 2004 Pizza Pizza has given away free pizza in exchange for used electronics and ink cartridges. It’s a pretty good deal especially when you consider the stuff they take. They’re taking cameras, adapters, tablets, iPods, ink cartridges, mobile and smart phones. I don’t know about you buy I have tons of old adapters and phones laying around that are going to sit here until I die and my kids throw it out when they’re cleaning up the house to sell. I’m sure there are people out there who are throwing away or recycling a bunch of ink cartridges every year, too. Keep those somewhere and then fill up on free pizza when April rolls around.

On top of the free pizza, Pizza Pizza is donating and proceeds they get from refurbishing the electronics to Children’s Miracle Network. Now, one stat that kind of boggled my mind is that they have only given away 8000 slices since 2005. That’s just 800 every year. I want to blow this thing up so my call to you, dear Bargainmoosers, is to share this story with all your friends and start digging through piles of crap. Look for old charge cables, the power cord for the game console your kid broke, the six year old phone, the small pyramid of ink cartridges you’ve erected on your desk, anything that even remotely fits this list and bring it in.

To summarize: get rid of your useless crap, get free cheese or pepperoni pizza, give to charity.

Landmark Cinemas Canada Freebie: Get a Free Medium Popcorn

Posted by on March 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM

Landmark Cinemas Canada Freebie: Get a Free Medium Popcorn

Heading to a Landmarks Cinema theatre? Don’t forget to sign up for your free medium popcorn coupon first.

A trip to the movie theatre can be a lot of fun, and a lot of money. So I’m always happy for savings opportunities when they come up. One of my favourite long-standing offers is the free popcorn deal from Landmark Cinemas. When you visit their site and sign up for their e-Newsletter (bottom right of the homepage) they’ll email you a coupon for a free medium popcorn.

You just print the email and present it at your local Landmark Cinemas concession stand. With the high cost of concession items these days, it’s a pretty hefty savings and I appreciate that you don’t have to buy anything else in order to get the free popcorn. Get the whole family to sign up with different email accounts and you’ll really see the savings add up. Luckily, my son hasn’t discovered soda yet and he’s not big on candy, but he can certainly down more than his fair share of popcorn!

Once you’ve signed up for their eNewsletter and received your free coupon you can always unsubscribe, but I find they send some pretty good offers without spamming and overdoing it. Landmark Cinemas currently has locations in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and the Yukon. To find a theatre near you visit their website.

Pizza Hut Canada Freebie: Get Free Wings During Red Hut Week

Pizza Hut Canada Freebie: Get Free Wings During Red Hut Week

Is your mouth watering yet? Until Thursday, make sure to swing by a Pizza Hut near you between 4pm and 5pm to get a free sample of chicken wings. Just keep in mind that not all Pizza Hut locations will have this freebie, so make sure to call ahead.

I can never just order pizza without ordering a side of honey garlic wings. There is just something about Pizza Hut’s wings, though I have to admit that my number one favourite ones are Dominoe’s (but shhh…).

Since I know all of you moosers will definitely be swinging by a Pizza Hut on your way home from work, the only recommendation I have is with regards to ordering online because I know you will all be tempted to have some pizza this week-end Pizza Hut Canada Freebie: Get Free Wings During Red Hut Week

Don’t make the mistake I did and order volcano chicken wings with your pizza! I did that a couple of months ago on complete accident and got turned into a fire-breathing dragon when my order came and we settled down to watch Sons of Anarchy while eating. If you order the Big Box with the two medium pizzas, bread sticks, wings and cinnaparts, then once you reach the wings’ section, you need to make sure to select the sauce you want from the drop down menu because, you guessed it, volcano is the default choice! So unless you enjoy burning your taste buds, I suggest you choose a different flavour.

What is your favourite wings sauce?

Chez Cora Canada: Free Specialty Coffee With Any $7+ Meal (Printable)

Chez Cora Canada: Free Specialty Coffee With Any $7+ Meal (Printable)

Satisfy your breakfast and caffeine cravings all at the same time with a brand new printable from Chez Cora for a free specialty coffee with purchase of any meal over $7.

I have to admit that I haven’t been to a Chez Cora restaurant in a while but I used to go quite frequently and from what I can remember, a specialty coffee is a bit over $5 (though please correct me if you know the exact price). They have everything from a cappuccino to an espresso, a latte and even a mochaccino.

For anyone with a sweet tooth, I would definitely recommend a mochaccino since it’s basically a hot chocolate with caffeine in the form of an espresso. In fact, did you know that just a single shot of espresso replaces a whole cup of coffee? That’s how potent that yummy stuff is!

The great part about this promotion is that the minimum requirement for the coupon to be valid is actually quite low, meaning that you could use it on just about any meal, from either their breakfast or lunch menus. Personally, I love the Chez Cora special but their Raspberry 4 Lucie plate is one I would also recommend as it’s literally heaven on a plate (though perhaps not the healthiest choice if you’re watching your waistline).

In any case, there is plenty to choose from to take advantage of this coupon! What is your favourite meal to have at Chez Cora?

David’s Tea Freebie: Wear Green On March 17th To Get A Free Tea Of The Day

Davids Tea Freebie: Wear Green On March 17th To Get A Free Tea Of The Day

If you will be passing by a David’s Tea tomorrow on March 17th 2014, then make sure to swing by to get a free tea of the day! Since it’s in celebration of Saint-Patrick’s Day, the only requirement is that you wear something green.

Just like Teavana, David’s Tea is one of those stores that I can never simply walk past without going inside and not only because of their constant outpouring of samples, but also because of all the unique looking tumblers, tea accessories etc.

All this to say that if you have yet to give them a try, then you should make it a point to swing by on Saint-Patrick’s Day. Just don’t forget to wear green! In case you don’t have anything green, then you could try something as simple as a green scarf, hair elastic or maybe even nail polish. I’m fairly certain that the green guideline can easily be sidestepped!

Since it changes on a weekly basis, if you’re wondering what tomorrow’s tea of the day is going to be, then make sure to check David’s Tea Free Tea of the Day Facebook tab tomorrow before going in as it’s updated every Monday.

Speaking of which, did you know that they also frequently release coupons for discounts and freebies when shopping online at their site? Be sure to check for all David’s Tea promotional codes on the Bargainmoose forum!
