Creative Live: Learn How To Pose Your Newborn For Photos Free! ($39 Value)

I’ve found a cool little site that has educational videos (online classes) of all types. You can learn about photography, crafts, money, DIY, art and more. The online classes are taught by professionals in the business and are better than You Tube quality. Classes range in price for about $29 – $49. Creative Live has free classes each day and today they’ve got a really fun one for the new moms and moms-to-be. Learn how to use props and pose your newborn baby for photos with their online class worth $39. You’ve got to watch the video today, as tomorrow a new free video will be posted.

Hiring a professional photographer for newborns is notoriously expensive! I spent $500 when my oldest son was born ten years ago. Read the rest of this entry »

Free Download: Purdys “Around the Chocolatier’s Table” Recipe Book

Posted by on February 8, 2015 at 7:00 PM

Free Download: Purdys “Around the Chocolatiers Table” Recipe Book

I was in the process of updating our Purdys coupon page here and I was browsing round their site, with my mouth watering as I did so. I noticed a banner on their front page about the download of a free eBook. It’s called, “Around the Chocolatier’s Table,” and it is written by Gary Mitchell, Purdys head chocolatier.

You can either read the book online or download a copy for yourself, and read it at your own leisure. The aim of this free eBook from Purdys is the following:

Free Download: Purdys “Around the Chocolatiers Table” Recipe Book

That sounds great! Who says you cannot have chocolate with every course?

Glancing through the eBook, there are recipes such as:

  • Brie & chocolate tartlets
  • Spicy chocolate chicken thighs
  • Macadamia crusted Mahi-Mahi & lemon peppercorn sauce
  • Purdys dark chocolate & port beef wellingtons
  • Himalayan pink salt caramel and English toffee cheesecake

I’ve got a little quote from my partner, what he said when I read out the latter item on that bulleted list:

That sounds pretty nice.

Understatement of the year! Some of those recipes sound definitively amazing and the images in the book are pure and simply food porn. Honestly, I’ve only ever used chocolate in desserts… I’ve never had the chance to try my hand at using it in other courses too. I’d love to give some of these recipes a try. I don’t think my partner would complain, in the least!

While you’re on the above page on Purdys, you’ll notice that there are a few other free publications to download too. For example:

A chocolate Martini collection! “Heaven… I’m in heaven…!”

Theme Hospital Full PC Game Download for Free @ Origin Canada

Posted by on January 20, 2015 at 3:15 PM

Theme Hospital Full PC Game Download for Free @ Origin Canada

Origin Canada has a section on their website that is called “On the House”, this section consists of a free PC download game. The game available will change often, so get your hands on the freebie available as soon as you can. Today, the free game from is the full PC download of Theme Hospital.

Do you remember the game Theme Hospital from when you were a kid? Now you can relive those memories for absolutely free. For a limited time, you can download the full PC version of the Theme Hospital Game from Origin Canada for free. This game would have normally cost you $4.99. As far as I can tell, there is no catch.

Theme Hospital is another installment of the Theme series. In this game, it is a matter of laugh or death. You can design, maintain and manage your own hi-tech hospital. Make the most of resources and create cures to earn cash. In the corridors of your hospital, you will notice the Grim Reaper walking around and waiting for you to make a mistake.

Laughter is the best medicine, and you will be laughing throughout the entirety of this game. While disease and ailments would not be the first thing you find funny, some of the diseases are hysterical. Your patients can get KingComplex which will have them dresses as Elvis. Another one of the known diseases in this Theme Hospital game is called Bloaty Head. That is the ailment pictured above. They can even get Hairyitis from being exposed to the moon light for too long.

Of course, you will have to build your way up in the world. Your game will start off with a small, empty building with a few doctors and a pharmacy. You will build up to get your other necessities and to grow. Move your way up in the health care industry while chuckling along the way. Personally, a hospital simulator would not be my first choice of a game, but I am tempted to give this one a try.

This is not a trial or demo, it is the full game. There is no time limit, you can keep the game for as long as you like. Origin Canada is offering free games to provide an excellent gaming experience to their customers. This is a great way to try new games or even genres of games that you wouldn’t normally play. This game is claimed to be the best hospital simulation around, so let us know what you think after trying it for free.

Get the Lonely Planet New In Travel 2015 eBook Free

Get the Lonely Planet New In Travel 2015 eBook Free

Are you watching the snow blow by your window, dreaming of your next vacation? I know I’m not the only one! I’ve been researching all of my vacations for the next 20 years, just so I can keep my spirits up during this frigid cold. Lonely Planet has just release a new e-book based on the hottest new experiences for this coming year and you can download it for free.

You can choose how you’d like to download your e-book for either iPad or iPhone or a PDF version. The Kindle versions are only for U.S. and U.K.

I already downloaded my copy, as I love hearing about fun new experiences that I can enjoy with or without my family. I wasn’t kidding when I said I’ve got the next 20 years of vacations planned (or dreamt of really), but I’m always excited to add another fun experience to my bucket list.

Looking through the e-book, I’ve found a few to add. One for example is doing a cape canopy tour in Western Cape, South Africa. Ever since I saw the movie Blended, I wanted to go to South Africa. I’ve also always wanted to try zip-lining and I think that would be a super fun vacation with my kids.

Another fun experience that is mentioned in the e-book is whale watching in Argentina on a yellow submarine. I don’t think I need to say much more than yellow submarine here do I? I would love to visit South America and while I’ve only whale watched in Quebec, it was quite an amazing experience.

Almost every idea I saw in the e-book went on my bucket list, and it was thrilling just to read them. This is a short little read, but they’ve got 26 ideas for unique travel ideas that are new this year and last. With all I want to do, the only thing left to do after reading this e-book is ask the boss for a raise!

Free PC/Mac Download of Peggle (was $4.99) from

Free PC/Mac Download of Peggle (was $4.99) from

Who wants a great freebie?  Right now you can get a great one from with no purchase necessary. Get a free download of the game Peggle for your Mac or PC. Just search for the game using the search bar to find it.

Personally I have never heard of this game but even if it’s not then best game you have ever played, its totally free so who cares really!  Peggle did however win a dozen of awards and calls it one of the “Top 5 most addictive video games of all time!” so it is definitley worth the free download.

This game is a blend between skill and luck and it has 55 different levels to keep you interested. You can play against friends or you can play against the computer.  It also has 10 different powers, 75 Grand Master challenges and some amazing art work in it.

This puzzle game is normally priced at $4.99 so not a bad little freebie to get. Even though I don’t often play games on my computer, I do get these deals for down times (not that I have many being a mom ;)) I travel sometimes and bring my computer and having some games to pass the time is perfect.

To be able to get this freebie, you will need to first download the Origin game client as well as create an Origin account to redeem this offer. It is free to do this so there is no cosst to you.  It is a good thing to do anyways because Origin does come out with these freebies from time to time.

Google Play Store 2-Year Anniversary: Free Apps & Discounts

Google Play Store 2 Year Anniversary: Free Apps & Discounts

Here’s a promotion worth smiling about: in celebration of their two-year anniversary, the Google Play Store has a number of apps available for absolutely free! They also have a couple of deals on movies.

If you’re looking for a truly unique game to try on your Android device, then Badland definitely fits the bill. Requiring a lot of tapping (what app doesn’t?), it’s the kind of game that initially has you wondering if really, there is more to the game, but then once you progress through the levels and the challenges are significantly increased, you suddenly find yourself incredibly hooked.

Here are some of the other apps you can get for free for a limited time only:

And while not free sadly, you can also save up to 50% off the following movies:

Be sure to keep checking the Google Play Store every day for more free apps and deals, although there is no word yet on when their anniversary sale is set to end.

February 25 Free Song Downloads

Posted by on February 25, 2014 at 2:30 PM Free Song Downloads

Get free song downloads at from up and coming artists.

To get these free songs, you will have to enter billing information, like your name, address and credit card, but you will not be billed. There is quite the selection of songs, and even if you aren’t sure you’ll like a song, you might as well download it anyway since it is free. The song could be something that grows on you and you could love as you hear it, even if initially it didn’t peak your interest. This has happened to me a number of times, even from big stars like Beyoncé and Pearl Jam.

If you wanted, you could also read the reviews of each song, and then decide which ones you want to download. What I love about free downloads is that if you really, really hate it after you download, the delete button is way too easy.

I see music from every genre available like country, rap, alternative rock and more. I haven’t heard of any of the artists on the list, but that makes it even more fun, discovering new music.

Since these are digital downloads, there are no shipping costs or even taxes. Everything is free.

iTunes Canada: 12 Days Of Christmas Freebies

iTunes has a special treat for you, with 12 days of Christmas freebies of music, apps, books, songs, films and more.

Starting December 26th, once you’ve downloaded the app to your Apple device (iPhone, iPad), each day you will be offered a free gift for download. It doesn’t say that you can use this app on your Apple computer or Macbook, but I was able to download the app to my Mac computer through iTunes, so this is something I’d like to know!

You don’t have to wait until December 26th to download the app either, as it says there are three days until the first gift (which makes the first gift available on Monday). I also saw that for the people who have downloaded it early, they received a free song from Lorde. It pays to download this early and watch for surprise gifts.

This 15 song sampler includes music from Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Lee Fields, The Budos Band, and other great soul artists.
