HP Canada: HP Z3200 Wireless Mice Were $22 | Now $8.74 & Free Shipping

HP Canada: HP Z3200 Wireless Mice Were $22 | Now $8.74 & Free Shipping

HP Canada has discounted the HP Z3200 Wireless Mouse from $21.99 down to $8.74! All orders at HP Canada currently qualify for free shipping with no minimum.

I have linked to the generic sale above, as there are three different mice designs to choose from in the sale. I have linked individually to each style before. Pick up one, two, or three of the following mice designs:

I think this may be the cheapest mouse I have ever posted about on Bargainmoose. It is certainly the cheapest mouse I have seen in recent memory, as the other deals over the last few months have been $10 and $9.97 respectively.

As you can imagine, this is a basic mouse with a designer flare. The HP Wireless Mouse Z3200 uses Blue LED optical tracking for reliable use. The Blue LED optical tracking can track your mouse’s movements over marble, granite, carpet and more. I am not sure how it would handle a clear glass table, but you can always try it. Frosted glass might be better. The ambidextrous shape is perfect for left-hand and right-hand people, and can be easily switched between hands. I like ambidextrous mice as I mouse with my right but my partner mouses with his left hand.

This is a basic two-button mouse with a scroll wheel. The size is compact – so it is best for smaller hands. A large male or female may find this mouse uncomfortable for prolonged use. However, it is the ideal size to drop in your travel pack when you need a mouse on the go.

Now, I did try price comparing at Amazon, Best Buy, Staples, and The Source – but none of these companies has this mouse in stock. Thus, I just checked out the cheapest wireless mice I could find. Staples has their own brand for $9.97 and best Buy has a Dynex for $14.95. Amazon Canada’s cheapest mouse is $10.99. Granted that this mouse is cheaper than the cheapest mice at these places, I figured this was a very good deal.

All three mice are still in stock – and my vote is for the cute little whale print.

NCIX Canada: 55% Off Xbox 360 Controller & Free Shipping Exclusive Code – Now Just $27

Posted by on April 18, 2015 at 3:30 PM

NCIX Canada: 55% Off Xbox 360 Controller & Free Shipping Exclusive Code Now Just $27

Here’s a hot little gaming deal at NCIX: the Xbox 360 controller for Windows is on sale for just $26.99, which is a $33 price reduction from its original retail price of $59.99.

This has got to me one of the lowest prices we have seen for this remote, so if you have been waiting to snag yourself one because you still play Xbox 360 games or have some on your PC, then this is a fabulous opportunity. At other online stores, the Xbox 360 common controller is:

The cool part about it is that one top of using it to play Xbox 360 games, you can also use it to play PC games but keep in mind that your operating system needs to be Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP. No mention is made with regards to Windows 8.

The included USB receiver will also allow you to use up to 4 wireless controllers, along with headsets. This is definitely a nifty feature, especially if you invite a couple of friends to play old school games (or new ones — whatever floats your boat!)

Out of 38 reviews, this Xbox 360 controller has scored a total rating of 4.4/5 stars with reviews like this one:

Had this now for a while and has stood up to the abuse. Great companion for Steam big Picture works out of the box.

That one is particularly noteworthy because of its mention to Steam, which is an online gaming community with loads of PC games for sale.

Other reviewers praised the long USB cable and the comfortable feel of this remote on the hands. It’s also great that there isn’t much setup involved as you can basically just plug and play.

Shipping

Shipping is at a flat rate of $8 per order but you can use our Bargainmoose exclusive NCIX coupon code MOOSE until April 19th to get free shipping. This code grants free shipping to any order over $25 but hurry as there isn’t much time left!

NCIX.com: ADATA Premier Micro SDHC Class 10 16GB Memory Card Was $15 | Now $8 & Free Shipping *HOT*

Posted by on April 16, 2015 at 3:32 PM

NCIX.com: ADATA Premier Micro SDHC Class 10 16GB Memory Card Was $15 | Now $8 & Free Shipping *HOT*

NCIX.com really has an amazing deal on this ADATA Premier Micro SDHC Class 10 16GB Memory Card with adapter. Originally $14.99, this micro SDHC 16GB memory card is on sale from $14.99 down to $7.99 with free shipping.

Now, finding this exact card for price comparing is pretty difficult. So, I just price compared with the cheapest 16GB, Class 10, microSD card I could find at other retailers. Here is a list of the prices of the cheapest cards of the same class and same size at other retailers:

  • $12.99 @ Amazon Canada
  • $12.88 @ Walmart Canada
  • $11.99 @ Best Buy Canada
  • $10.92 @ Staples Canada

These are all the cheapest possible Class 10, 16 GB, micro SDHC cards that each of these retailers sells. None of the above four prices have free shipping so you also need to mentally calculate that on to the price. This ADATA Premier micro SDHC card from NCIX.com is the cheapest I have ever seen for the size and quality.

This card is perfect for expanding the memory on your phone or your tablet. The micro SD card features:

  • 16 GB storage
  • Maximum Write Speed of 33 MBps
  • Maximum Read Speed of 50 MBps

The card comes under the speed class rating of ‘Class 10′ or UHS-I. This may seem a bit slow, but reviewers have found that this card performs much better with 3.0 readers. One reviewer said:

It’s a excellent card, reach up to 69MB/s and 41MB/s in R / W. Measurement on USB3.0 card reader.

Another reviewer said that he got the card up to 80MB/s read speed.

Now, this is not some obscure card by a brand you have never heard of. ADATA is a common brand for cards such as these. I have actually read comments from people saying ADATA is the only brand of flash card they will purchase. Well, this particular card averages 4.2/5 with over 40 reviews at NCIX.com. One reviewer said:

Have used this card in my Nikon DSLR, Raspberry Pi B+, and now Raspberry Pi 2 running OpenElec. Has run flawlessly in every scenario. Will be ordering another one. I also own the 8GB version and it has run with the Raspberry Pi 2.

This is just a reliable and versatile card for all your memory needs. At this price, pick one up ASAP before they sell out! Free shipping only applies as long as the cards are in stock.

NCIX.com: Patriot FUEL Rechargeable Battery 2000 mAh Only $7 & Free Shipping *HOT* (EXPIRED)

Posted by on April 16, 2015 at 12:35 PM

NCIX.com: Patriot FUEL Rechargeable Battery 2000 mAh Only $7 & Free Shipping *HOT* (EXPIRED)

** BUMP: This is the DEAL OF THE DAY at NCIX.com today – and thus has dropped down to $7 with free shipping – today only! **

NCIX.com has marked down the Patriot FUEL Active Mobile Rechargeable Battery 2000 mAh With 3 Stage LED Flashlight from $24.99 to $7.99 $7 with free shipping.

This is a seriously hot deal. I have never seen one of these 2000 mAh battery chargers for so cheap. I price compared this exact unit with other sellers The Patriot FUEL rechargeable battery retails for:

  • $17.99 + $7.34 shipping @ Newegg Canada
  • $16.99 + $598 shipping @ Amazon Canada
  • $22.49 + shipping @ Tiger Direct Canada

I could not resist price comparing this unit with the Anker version (as I am a big fan of Anker). They sell a 3200 mAh model for $19.99. RavPower has a 3200 model for $17.99. However, neither device comes with free shipping. You are also paying over twice the price for just over 1.5 times the power.

This deal is only available for the Forest Green colour. All other colours are still at full price – $24.99 – so you want to pick up the green. I prefer my battery charger to be a bright colour so it is easier to find in my bag. The first green is okay in my books.

NCIX.com: Patriot FUEL Rechargeable Battery 2000 mAh Only $7 & Free Shipping *HOT* (EXPIRED)

Now, 2000 mAh may not seem like a lot of power, but it will certainly save your phone when you have miscalculated the battery life or forgot to put it on the charger. Just today, a friend of mine forgot to charge their battery overnight and they had to go to work in the morning. A small battery like this would fit in his pocket or work bag no problem. In fact, he could just keep this one at work or in the car so he always has a battery on him. I would pick up two so one can be left in the car and the other could be left at work.

This is a very hot deal and is bound to sell out quickly. Last time I posted a deal like this, we found out that out of stock items no longer qualify for free shipping. Make sure to pick this battery charger up before it goes out of stock as the free shipping really makes this deal amazing. Let me know how many you buy!

Amazon Canada: 61% Off Belkin Charge & Sync Dock For iPhone 5/6 & iPod 5th Gen – Now $15.11

Posted by on April 14, 2015 at 12:00 PM

Amazon Canada: 61% Off Belkin Charge & Sync Dock For iPhone 5/6 & iPod 5th Gen Now $15.11

Quick! The Belkin F8J045BT charge and sync dock with lightning cable connector for iPhone or iPod Touch 5th generation is 61% off at Amazon. Right now, you can get it for just $15.11 instead of its regular retail price of $38.49.

The Belkin charge & sync dock is compatible with all of the following devices:

  • iPhone 5
  • iPod Touch 5th gen
  • iPod Nano 7th gen

It has an aluminum finish and comes with a 4-foot hardwire USB cable, though you would still need to use your own power supply. The great part about this dock is that you don’t need to take off the case off your phone each time as it’s case-compatible, which means that you can just plop your phone in whenever it’s in need of charging. Speaking of which, did you know that the best way to charge your phone by never letting it get to zero and charging it when it reaches 40%.

Here’s a review from BestBuy.com, where this dock is currently $31.99:

Perfect for the IPhone with the lightning connector, especially if, you are using a case. The design allows you to seat the phone securely and allows a phone with case to be set into the dock. To my knowledge, this is the only one of its kind, which allows that.

On Amazon, it actually has as many as 73 reviews and a total of 4/5 stars! So for just $15, this is actually pretty awesome!

iPhone 6

If you have an iPhone 6, then I have good news for you. This dock will accommodate your phone as well. The only thing to keep in mind that in general, an iPhone 6 uses a different USB charger from that of the iPhone 5. Whilst the iPhone 5 one is 5W, the iPhone 6 uses a 12W but does it matter with regards to the Belkin? Sort of but probably not. According to Amazon’s “Questions and Answers” section, one of the answers states that there is a potential for overheating. Other answers, however, stated that this dock works perfectly for the iPhone 6. So it looks like this is one of those things where you just need to decide for yourself if you want to give it a try or not. Personally, if I had the iPhone 6, I would definitely go for it!

Shipping

Amazon only ships orders over $25 for free, so you would need to pay the $3.59 standard shipping rate or add a filler item. Personally, I would definitely opt for the second choice, especially since you would only be missing a bit less than $10.

Dell Canada: Sony SRSX2R Wireless Speaker Was $100 | Now $70 & Free Shipping

Posted by on April 13, 2015 at 2:30 PM

Dell Canada: Sony SRSX2R Wireless Speaker Was $100 | Now $70 & Free Shipping

Dell Canada’s Spring Clearance Event is in full swing right now. In the sale, I found the Sony SRSX2R Wireless Speaker on sale from $99.99 down to $69.99 with free shipping.

Price comparing showed that this speaker is on sale at several other places. However, none of the other retailers match Dell Canada’s price.

  • $76.99 @ PC Canada (one left)
  • $78 @ Walmart Canada
  • $79.99 @ Best Buy Canada
  • $79.99 @ Sony Store Canada
  • $99 @ NCIX.com

As you can see, Dell Canada’s price even beats the manufacturers’ own sale price. There is also an added bonus when you shop at Dell Canada. Not only do you receive free shipping on any order, you also receive 5% back on a Dell gift card when you sign up for the Dell Advantage (free sign up). That might not seem like much, but that ‘saves’ you an extra $3.50 on this unit alone.

I am a fan of Sony Wireless speakers ever since I bought one of the big brothers to this unit – the SRS-X5. I think they are a very strong sounding line of speakers at an excellent price. I am not alone in this opinion: reviews on Best Buy have given the SRSX2R speaker a 4.5/5 rating so far. One reviewer said:

While this can not compete with the bigger speakers in terms of volume, the sound clarity and fidelity is among the best. Base is less pronounced than in the Bose SoundLink Mini, but the overall sound is also more musical and less muddy. It does get pretty loud if needed – with no or very little distortion at the top end.

I was surprised that this little speaker can even compete with the Bose Soundlink Mini, but this reviewer thinks it sounds clearer. Certainly, for the price, you cannot go wrong with this unit. Expect five hours of playtime from the Sony SRSX2R wireless speaker. The speaker includes an AC adapter for charging. Pair the speaker to your ph0one via Bluetooth. This speaker also can be used for hands-free calls with ClearAudio+.

While the battery life is a bit short for my liking, it does seem like a solid unit that comes in two fantastic colours. Black is great if you want the speaker to blend in and red is fantastic for those who want to stand out.

Amazon.ca: Aukey 20000mAh Portable Charger Only $35 & Free Shipping

Posted by on April 12, 2015 at 4:06 PM

Amazon.ca: Aukey 20000mAh Portable Charger Only $35 & Free Shipping

Amazon Canada has the Aukey 20000mAh Portable Charger currently on for $39.99. Use coupon code UBY53ZB2 to receive an extra $5 off, which brings the portable battery charger down to $34.99 with free shipping. There are also no taxes charged on this device.

This is a big battery for a low price. You get 20,000 mAh, which is enough to charge your tablet or phone several times over. Your average iPhone 6 will charge at least seven times and this device can provide a full charge to an iPad Air.The Aukey will charge many different brands including:

  • Apple iPad
  • Apple iPhone
  • Samsung
  • Google
  • Nexus
  • LG
  • HTC
  • Motorola

The Aukey features AIPower Technology, which automatically detects the input current of your device and charges it accordingly. The device has up to 3.1A for two ports.

Four blue LED indicators display the remaining power and there is a built-in flashlight, which actually comes in rather handy in low-light environments when trying to find things in your bag. Be careful not to turn the flashlight on while the device is not in use, as it will suck up a bit of battery.

Charging is simple: connect your phone or tablet to the battery pack and it will immediately start charging and then stop when the battery is full. Your small electronics can connect using their own USB cables and you can charge two devices at once on the Aukey. The power bank includes its own charging cable. Enjoy a 18-month warranty as well.

I could not find this device elsewhere in Canada but I did find it in the USA. Amazon.com has the device on sale for $35 USD and Newegg.com has the device on sale for $37.99 USD. Given our exchange rate, the price at Amazon.ca is better.

I also compared similarly sized units. Anker’s 20000mAh bank costs $89.99. The device also has 33 customer reviews for 4.8/5 stars. Almost all reviewers were extremely impressed with the unit. One did mention that it is better as a laptop charger or something to drop in your bag rather than stick in your pocket. Evidently, the Aukey battery weighs around half a kilo.

I have never used this brand of external charger battery before, but I am always game to try new things. With good reviews and a great price, I think this power bank is worth trying.

Visions Electronics Coupon Code: 5% Off & Free Shipping

Posted by on April 12, 2015 at 2:52 PM

Visions Electronics Coupon Code: 5% Off & Free Shipping

Visions Electronics has released a coupon code that gives you free shipping on almost any order and free GST (5% worth).

Click here to shop @ Visions Electronics Canada now

  • Coupon Code: NOGST799278
  • Discount: free shipping & no GST
  • Expiry: 15th April 2015

This deal acts a bit different than you would think. Rather than just not charging GST, as the promotion implies, the coupon actually takes 5% off the base price of your item. Then, Visions charges taxes on top of that (PST / HST / GST).This is actually a better deal than ‘no GST’ as that GST is calculated on the full amount whereas you pay less in GST when the GST is calculated on a price reduced by 5%.

Visions Electronics Coupon Code: 5% Off & Free Shipping

Make sure to apply the coupon code at the first stage of checkout – in your cart – below the secure checkout button. In order to checkout, you will need to create an account at Visions.

My husband is currently buying a pair of Monster EA Sports MVP Carbon Gaming Headphones that originally retailed for $269.99 and are now on sale for $78. The headphones I linked to above are black, but they also come in white. I had posted a deal on this headset before, but it is $2 cheaper, an extra 5% off, and receives free shipping at Visions.

There are plenty of other sweet little deals at Visions that you do not want to miss. For example, this Monster 8ft microHDMI to HDMI Cable is on sale from $29.99 down to $10. Save the GST and receive free shipping on just this item.

For headphones on a serious budget, purchase the Sony ZX Series On-Ear Headphones. Originally $44.99, they are on sale for just $18. Save that extra 5% and get free shipping at checkout. I price compared with Walmart Canada where they cost $39.98 and no longer qualify for free shipping to your home.

Visions also carries furniture. I remember searching for a TV stand that would fit into the apartment and looked pretty good. If you need a TV stand, pick up the Sonax 42″ – 54″ TV stand (FS3480) at Visions. Originally $109.99, the stand is now on sale for $78 plus the extra discounts. The same stand costs $108 + shipping in the Amazon Marketplace or $116.10 at Sears Canada.

I am excited that my husband is finally getting a headset that he has wanted for a while at a price that he can afford. I hope other Moosers can find what they are look for!

NCIX.com: Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. 3 PC Gaming Keyboard Was $100 | Now $39 & Free Shipping

Posted by on April 12, 2015 at 12:55 PM

NCIX.com: Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. 3 PC Gaming Keyboard Was $100 | Now $39 & Free Shipping

NCIX.com has a one-day deal on the Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. 3 Gaming Keyboard. Originally $99.99, this keyboard is now on sale for $39 with free shipping.

It was easy to price compare this unit, even though it is not one of the mainstream computer companies. However, I often find the attention and care that goes into relatively minor companies’ products rather worth attention. I did find this keyboard at Best Buy Canada – currently priced at $99.99. I also found the keyboard – via a marketplace seller – listed on Amazon Canada for $65 + $6 shipping. At Newegg.ca, the keyboard costs $99.99 + $7.99 shipping. Lastly, Staples Canada has the keyboard for $119.99.

Simply, you are getting one heck of a deal on this keyboard when you purchase it today. Not only are you avoiding shipping charges (while the keyboard is still in stock), you are also paying substantially less than at any other retailer. I mean substantially!

This keyboard is a fantastic entry-level keyboard for gamers. They Mad Catz keyboard has precise key response, customizable backlighting, and programmable macro keys. I know backlighting is just aesthetics, but I really love a custom backlit keyboard. It is fun to customize the setting for each game that you play and customize the settings for your regular computer.

This keyboard is for PC gamers and it attaches to your computer via USB cable: it is not wireless. The keyboard comes in red with black keys and also has a removable (black) wrist rest to help prevent typing fatigue.

I checked out a review on PCmag where they keyboard garnered a 3 1/2 out of 5 star review considering the price. Their bottom line was:

The Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. 3 gaming keyboard is flashy, but it combines a competent design with several unique features.

You can read the full review on that website. In my opinion, this looks like a cool gaming keyboard and it is priced far better than most decent entry level gaming keyboards these days. You could easily spend this much on a normal keyboard! Check out this cool video going over the Mad Catz S.T.R.I.K.E. 3 keyboard:

They keyboard comes with a two year warranty.

Azio Blue Backlight Gaming Keyboard Was $80 | Now $23 @ NCIX.ca

Posted by on April 11, 2015 at 10:00 AM

Azio Blue Backlight Gaming Keyboard Was $80 | Now $23 @ NCIX.ca

The Azio gaming keyboard is on discount today, and you can score it at a steal. This blue backlight keyboard was $79.99, but you can grab yours for only $22.99.

The keyboard I am featuring today is a basic gaming keyboard that should work well for a beginner or occasional gamer. This keyboard is backlit with blue so you can see the keys while you are focused on your game.  There is a volume control knob on the keyboard. There is also a palm rest included that is detachable so you could adjust it or remove it all together if you choose. This keyboard has a one-year warranty included, which will back up your purchase.

Price Comparison

The only place I am finding this keyboard is Amazon.ca. You can purchase this keyboard for $41.69 with Amazon, or pay almost half of that at NCIX. This Logitech USB Gaming Keyboard @ Best Buy Canada looks to be similar, but you would pay on sale, $65.89.

Reviews

Reviews are looking good overall. I find the reviews at NCIX mostly speak about the backlight.  Here is one review at NCIX.

Solid Feel, Reads well with the room lights off. A few macro keys would not hurt. I needed a backlit keyboard, and this does the job well. The lighting can be turn on/off, but mine stays on until bedtime as it enhances the view of the keys even in the daytime. For the sale price, it is well worth it.

I might suggest looking at Amazon.ca to read the reviews if you are considering this purchase. Reviewers mention that the keyboard is not loud and is bouncy for when you are typing at fast speeds during an intense part of your game. Also mentioned is that the volume knob is not as large and bulky as it looks in the picture.

Shipping

Flat rate shipping for this item is $8.99. The good news is we can help you make this an even better deal. Over in our coupon code forums you can use our exclusive code MOOSE for free shipping on any order $25+.

You will need a filler item to top off your cart to qualify for free shipping. I recommend the Linke Dual USB Car Charger that was $12.99, but is now $4.99. This charger would have come in handy on my last road trip. Our car charger only has room for one USB port, but this one will charge two mobile devices together such as your phone or tablet.

This keyboard is a great deal for a beginning gamer or as a backup for a more advanced gamer. I do not expect that this will do the job for a heavy gamer as the primary keyboard. If you are looking for a keyboard that is a little more durable for a younger child, this might also be your deal. Sometimes it takes a while for kids to learn to be gentle. This keyboard is meant to be wailed on more than an average keyboard.

NCIX.com: Belkin Surge Protector (6 Outlets) Was $15 | Now $7 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

Posted by on April 10, 2015 at 4:05 PM

NCIX.com: Belkin Surge Protector (6 Outlets) Was $15 | Now $7 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

I am pretty excited about this deal from NCIX.com. This basic Belkin home/office Surge Protector (555J) is on sale from $14.99 down to $6.99 with free shipping! The six-outlet surge protector is an affordable necessity to protect your electronics.

Of course, one has to price compare this unit to other retailers. My first search revealed that Belkin themselves sell this surge protector for $9.99 USD in the USA. Here in Canada, I found the six-outlet Belkin Surge protector for:

  • $9.38 @ Hookbag.ca
  • $11.30 @ MyTeknology
  • $11.99 @ PC-Canada
  • $12.82 @ Ashlin Canada
  • $17.69 @ Frontier PC

You would also have to pay for shipping on top of those prices at all of these retailers! By far, NCIX.com has the best price for this surge protector. I figured I would go a step further and try to find the cheapest surge protector at a place with free shipping and no minimum. I found an Exponent Microport 6-Outlets Surge Suppressor – 6 – 150 J for $20.78 at Shop.ca. Most surge protectors seem to be around the $20 or more mark.

This is truly a basic surge protector. The device has six-outlets with the hole for the grounding piece. Oddly enough, some surge protectors omit this basic. The Belkin surge bar has a 30″ cord. For some people this may be a bit short, but I find the long cords terribly annoying. I need a power bar to keep my electronics protecting – I do not need the unholy love child of a power bar and an extension cord! If I need an extension cord, then I would buy one.

Most people say the power bar is well worth the money. One reviewer said:

-very basic power bar/surge protector for your money
-slim and isn’t the most bulky thing around

Another person was a bit disappointed that there were not more outlets

This is a good quality surge protector. I bought 2. The 2.5 feet long cord is a bit short though. And I would have liked 7 outlets at the low price I bought it at. Free ground shipping is nice.

For $6.99 and free shipping, I think this is a fantastic deal. I could not find another surge protector for around this money. Even on Walmart Canada, which now charges shipping, the cheapest sale bar was $8.

Free shipping lasts as long as the product is in stock.

TRENDnet N300 High Power Easy-N-Range Extender Was $50 | Now $27 & Free Shipping @ NCIX Canada

Posted by on April 10, 2015 at 11:21 AM

TRENDnet N300 High Power Easy N Range Extender Was $50 | Now $27 & Free Shipping @ NCIX Canada

The TRENDnet N300 High Power Easy-N-Range Extender is a great deal today @ NCIX. This wireless booster was $50 but you can get your own now for $26.99.  Free shipping applies to this item.

Do you find there is a certain spot in your house that the Wi-Fi always drops out? My parents have higher ceilings and a living room that is off the back of the house. There are certain places in the living room if you try to video call or stream media the internet gets a little rocky. It is especially frustrating when I am trying to video chat with them so they can talk to my daughter. My three year old will now say “Service not available Mama” when the reconnecting logo pops up on the screen.

Fix those wi-fi trouble spots with the TRENDnet Easy N Range Extender. This plug and play device will go directly into a wall plug. Sync up this device with your router to give you more wi-fi coverage. Setup looks easy, it should only take you a few minutes to connect this with most wi-fi routers. This device also comes with a three year limited warranty. It also looks like from the pictures that the plug has several different types of adapters.

Price Comparison

Most of the other retailers have this extender for about $40 to $50. I was originally writing to tell you about the great sale on this extender at Dell Canada, but NCIX Canada has them beat!

Reviews

Reading the reviews, buyers seem happy overall with this extender. One or two people said it took longer than a minute or two to set it up, but it does not seem like they are frustrated either. A few mentioned the unit is a little bulky on the wall. Most mentioned they were pleased with the internet boost they received. Several people mentioned they were interested in buying a second one for another area of the house. One happy reviewer said:

Does the job and added some wifi coverage to another floor of the house. It’s only 2.4ghz but for the price you can’t go wrong. Took a couple WPS attempts to sync up but did eventually get paired.

I may buy this for my mom so we can video chat without interruption. While I do not expect this will improve the internet in the entire house, I would expect that it could easily help a room or two where the internet is a little wonky. Grab yours while the price is low.

NCIX.com has an excellent deal on the Microsoft All-in-One Wireless Media Keyboard with Multi-Touch Trackpad. originally $59.99, the keyboard is on sale for $22.99 with $7.98 ground shipping.

Even though you have to pay for shipping for a grand total of $30.97, this deal still far exceeds the price at other retailers right now. I price compared at several other online stores so you could see how good this deal is at NCIX.com.

  • $39.99 @ Amazon Canada
  • $44.95 @ Microsoft Canada
  • $49.95 @ Walmart Canada
  • $49.99 @ Staples Canada
  • $49.99 @ Best Buy Canada

You can easily see that NCIX.com, even with shipping, beats Amazon Canada’s price by nearly 25%. For anyone needing an all in one keyboard, this is an affordable option for Microsoft: an industry standard.

These all-in-one keyboards are becoming the standard keyboard sought out by computer users. The track pad on the right hand side mimics that of a laptop track pad – except with a larger surface area. Unlike most laptop trackpads, this pad where you can swipe, drag, zoom, and click. Essentially, it is multi-touch compatible.

The full size keys will put your fingers at ease. There are also customizable media hot keys for your favourite folders. Try linking to music, favourite movies, your browser, favourite porn site, and more. Access these sites at the touch of a button. The keyboard is made to be durable and stand up to everyday abuse.

There are many of these keyboards out there, and I have blogged about a few before. Most quality units tend to start at $50 and go up from there. These days you have to spend $20 on a regular keyboard, so getting an All-In-One keyboard for just $11 more is pretty sweet.

One reviewer said:

Bought two of them during a 50% off sale. Really worth it. I use one for my smart tv and the other for a computer hooked up to another tv.

Another reviewer mentioned that the large touch pad is nice, except that it fails to respond occasionally. This was a minor problem and he still gave the keyboard 4/5 stars with these final thoughts:

Overall, I’m quite pleased with this keyboard despite some of the quirks. I prefer it over the Logitech K400R. I would be comfortable using it every day. Plus, the texture of the plastic helps keep it clean and free of fingerprints.

When I switch over to a desktop (I have plans!), I will certainly use one of these keyboards with it.

Microsoft Canada: Wireless Mobile Mouse Was $16 | Now $10 & Free Shipping

Microsoft Canada: Wireless Mobile Mouse Was $16 | Now $10 & Free Shipping

Need a cheap mouse to throw in your backpack, take to school, or use at work? Pick up the Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 1850 on sale from $15.95 down to $9.99 with free shipping.

I really like this deal. Mice tend to last me a few years before the laser starts jumping or something breaks. Thus, I do not want to spend much money on a new mouse when it only lasts a few years. This mouse deal is hot, in my books, because the mouse is only $10, it comes with free shipping, and you get to choose from a bunch of colours!

Are you tired of black mice? I know that I am. Pick out your new mouse from a variety of colours:

  • Black
  • Wool Blue
  • Light Orchid
  • Flame Red
  • Purple

I am not a big fan of pink but the Light Orchid is a really nice colour! I would choose either it or the purple.

Now, I price compared this mouse with several other retailers. The same Microsoft Wireless Mobile Mouse 1850 costs:

  • $15.95 + shipping @ Amazon Canada
  • $12.99 + shipping @ NCIX.com
  • $12.99 + $7.34 shipping @ Newegg Canada

Already Microsoft gives you the bonus advantage of free shipping, so it would be rather hard to beat this deal. Honestly, at $10 I might just get two! I can save one for when the other breaks down or I could give it as a gift to one of my not so technologically inclined friends who are always breaking theirs. Do not throw your mouse at the wall when you miss out on a good deal!

This mouse is a fantastic basic unit. It connects to your computer or tablet via USB. When the small USB receiver is not in use, just store it right inside the mouse so you do not lose it. The mouse is made for right or left-handed people – so feel free to switch hands when fatigue sets in. The mouse also has a scroll wheel for easy navigation.

Pick up this mouse my dear little Moosers! I would be buying this if I had not just ordered a mouse for $16 less than a week ago. This is a better deal I must say!

Best Buy Canada: Jawbone Up – Now $40 & Free Shipping

Best Buy Canada: Jawbone Up Now $40 & Free Shipping

Best Buy Canada is offering $10 off the Jawbone Up entry-level fitness tracker. Currently priced at $49.95, this fitness tracker is on sale for only $39.95 with free shipping.

Only select colours and sizes are still in stock. I have compiled a list here:

Small and large are still available, but medium is out of stock. I am not sure what the difference is between the large Onyx and the large black as Best Buy Canada fails to give model numbers. In fact, price comparing took forever because there are just no model numbers, yet the prices for the Jawbone Up can vary widely. I had to be careful not to price compare against the Jawbone Up24 – which is a newer version.

Best Buy Canada has the most reasonable price on this device by a long shot. When I started price comparing, I could not believe the price of these fitness trackers on other websites. The Jawbone Up costs:

  • $139.99 @ Sport Chek Canada
  • $119.97 @ Staples Canada
  • $79.99 @ Best Buy Canada
  • $60 @ Chapters Indigo Canada

Prices at these and other places vary depending on the size you want. Best Buy Canada has the same price for both the large and the small Jawbone UP Activity & Sleep tracker. Reviews vary from five stars to one star. Some people have problems with the sleep function. If you move around too much, then the device things you are awake and stops tracking your sleep.

I checked back on these Jawbone Up devises. They originally retailed for $129 as mentioned here, but have had a price reduction since then. Now the devices are only $40, which is less than half the original price. We have seen a deal like this once before, when Margarita posted about a one-day sale at Future Shop.

This may be a very base model for a sleep and fitness tracker, but it is a great way to test out the technology before you invest $100+ into a device. For $40, you can get a peek into how well you are doing each day and how well you are sleeping each night. For $40, I think this device is well worth purchasing.
