Motorola H17 Bluetooth Headset Only $23.62 & Free Shipping @ eBay.ca

Posted by on July 20, 2014 at 12:00 PM

Motorola H17 Bluetooth Headset Only $23.62 & Free Shipping @ eBay.ca

If you’re looking for a good deal on a low-cost bluetooth headset for some handsfree chatting, have a glance at this Motorola H17 Bluetooth Headset which is currently on offer from eBay.ca. You can pick up this device for only $23.62 with free shipping!

The Bluetooth headset is originally priced in US dollars, coming in at $21.99 which equates to about $23.62 Canadian.

Even though the Motorola H17 is being shipping from the US, the item listing does state this:

International items may be subject to customs processing and additional charges.

There’s a very small chance you might get hit with an extra fee at your door as I mentioned in this recent article about Canadian shipping, as the headset is just over the $20 customs limit. However, we’ll all keep the fingers crossed that you don’t pay anything extra! If you make an order for this Motorola, please tell us how it went in the comments below.

This Motorola H17 Bluetooth Headset comes with “Non-Retail Packaging,” meaning that it is not in its original packaging or it may be unsealed. I think for this reason, the sellers cannot class it as brand new… but the item is new and unused, it’s just the packaging that’s not as it was when it left the factory.

Price Comparison

Right now, a marketplace seller on Amazon.ca is offering this same headset for $83, it’s out of stock but it was $119 @ TigerDirect, and it’s also priced at $88 @ CDW. Therefore, I think this is a great deal on eBay.

Video Review

If you’d like to see a bit more about this item before you buy, have a watch of this video review:

Other Free Shipping Deals @ eBay

While we don’t usually post deals from individual eBay sellers, I actually spotted this Motorola H17 Bluetooth Headset highlighted in eBay’s “free shipping deals” section. There, eBay features a range of hot items from reputable sellers. There are a lot more hot electronics deals in there too. But just watch out in case any of them are shipping from the US, remember your potential customs and duties, etc.

Belkin 6 Outlet Surge Protector Only $14.99 & Free Shipping @ NCIX Canada

Posted by on July 20, 2014 at 10:00 AM

Belkin 6 Outlet Surge Protector Only $14.99 & Free Shipping @ NCIX Canada

If you’re in need of some more power sockets for any devices in your house, consider the deal on this Belkin BV106050 Volt Surge Protector With USB Charger 6 Outlets. The regular price is $34.99 but you can currently buy it at NCIX Canada for a measly $14.99 as well as FREE shipping to your home!

You can buy cheaper power bars, but this Belkin one has a few extra features which could make it worth the extra money. First of all, it’s a Belkin – this is a really top-notch brand name when it comes to accessories like this. Belkin have an excellent reputation for great quality items.

Secondly, this power bar also has two built-in USB ports which you can use for charging up your various devices. This is a super-handy-feature to be honest. Sometimes I’ve had to power up my computer just to charge up my eBook reader – whereas with this Belkin, you could just pop the eBook in to that. I am sure this is true of many of your other USB devices.

Thirdly, this is a “surge protector” which means that if there is any sort of electrical power surge, this Belkin power bar will protect the devices which are attached to it.

Item Image

There’s an image on the NCIX site and I’ve used it in this blog post. But they say, “Actual product may not be exactly as shown.” So beware, you might not get a power bar that looks exactly like the above, but it will have all the stated features and specifications.

On NCIX, this Belkin product had 17 reviews in total and of those 17, six are rated at 5 stars, seven at 4 stars, which seems very positive. There are lots more comments on NCIX which you can read, but one that stood out to me was this one from Scottc:

Great device, replaces 2 USB chargers, high enough current to charge most tablets. The ability to screw the unit securely into the wall is very nice feature.

Sounds good! I definitely like the ability to attach it to the wall to tidy up some of the loose wiring and the like. I currently have a 14 month old girl just learning to walk, and she is pulling and poking at absolutely everything round the house. Wires seem to be her favourite thing to be tugging on, so it’s great to have them all tidied away with the likes of this Belkin device.

Canadian Shipping

Don’t worry about shipping in this case, it’s free on this Belkin 6 Outlet Surge Protector. You know, it’s rare that we see items from NCIX with free shipping, especially such low priced merchandise.

Edifier S330D 2.1 Speaker Set Only $110 + Shipping @ NCIX Canada Now

Posted by on July 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM

Edifier S330D 2.1 Speaker Set Only $110 + Shipping @ NCIX Canada Now

If you’re looking for a new set of speakers for your computer or perhaps some other device in your house, check out the deal on this Edifier S330D 2.1 Speaker Set from NCIX Canada. The regular price is $179.99 but they’re down to $129.99 right now, plus there’s a coupon code to save an extra 15% on that price!

Use the coupon code speaker2014promo to get the Edifier speakers for $110.49. The coupon code slot is at the top right of the shopping cart page.

We’re not sure when this particular NCIX coupon code ends. On that speaker’s page it states the 23rd July, but on the coupon home page, it only says “limited time.” If you happen to be interested in this deal, then I’d go for it sooner rather than later.  By the way, the coupon code should work on all speakers on NCIX, not just these particular ones.

A quick note about the speakers themselves:

Edifier Enterprises Canada Inc., the manufacturer of computer multimedia speaker, introduced their latest Signature Series S330D 2.1 channel audio speaker system targeting at those consumers that demand superior audio quality and overall power.

Sounds good!

Shipping Fees

The shipping rate depends on how much you are spending and where you live. I did a test order on these speakers to an Ontario address and it was coming up at nearly $20 shipping. That does seem quite high, but then you’re only paying a total of about $130+ tax for these good quality speakers.

Price Comparison

I can see this particular model of speakers for sale at a number of other online stores, most stores seem to have it for around $150 to $160, some with shipping on top of that too.

There are a number of customer reviews on Amazon, only seven. But five of those people give these speakers a five star rating. One member comments that the separate volume/power/audio jack control is awesome. It’s true… I have one of these on my computer speaker setup and it’s sitting on the desk in front of me. It’s incredibly handy just to plug headphones in and out, without digging round on the floor behind the computer.

With this NCIX coupon code, it’s saved on our coupon forums, be sure to check there before you buy!

Buytopia Canada: $5 for a Clip Shuffle MP3 Player with Earphones & USB Cable

Buytopia Canada: $5 for a Clip Shuffle MP3 Player with Earphones & USB Cable

When a company has a great deals that sells out or does really well, they tend to bring it back in the future.  Buytopia Canada has a deal that they have brought back because it was so popular. For a limited time only, you can get a clip shuffle MP3 player with head phones and a USB cable for just $5.

Within this deal, there are actually three different options you can get.  You can pay just $5 for a clip shuffle MP3 player with earphones and USB cable.  Option number two is $7 for a 2GB clip shuffle MP3 player or you can pay just $9 for a 4GB clip shuffle MP3 player.  Al of these deals will include the earphones and a USB cable which is a great bonus.  Those two items alone cost more than $5 each at any electronic store. Each of these deals are a whopping 90% off the regular prices!

It comes in eight different colours to choose from and it has a built in rechargeable lithium-ion battery, card slot supporting micro SD/TF card up to 8GB. It is a sweet little unit for running, walking the dog, cleaning the house or working out at the gym.  I am partial to the pink myself, but there is a colour for everyone’s liking.

When a deal is this good, you do have to question it sometimes and it is nice to hear reviews from other that have already purchased the deal.  There are three of the reviews listed for the MP3 player at Buytopia Canada and here is one of them.

Love the design, very easy to use and sounds great. Also can’t beat the value

There is no maximum buy on this deal so you can buy as many as you would like for yourself and for gifts. At just $5 a pop, this would make a inexpensive and awesome stocking stuffer or birthday grab bag gift for older kids.

All of the taxes are already included in the prices listed above so the only additional cost will be for the shipping.  The shipping is $6.99, but if you consider that the deal is just $5, even with the shipping it is still a steal of a deal! It will take around 4-6 weeks for shipping so keep that in mind if you are buying this for someone else.

Future Shop: Kingston DataTraveler G4 128GB $59.99 (Save $50)

Posted by on July 13, 2014 at 10:30 PM

Future Shop: Kingston DataTraveler G4 128GB $59.99 (Save $50)

Pick up this sweet little deal on the massive Kingston DataTraveler G4 128GB flash drive for storing and transferring data. Originally $109.99, this USB drive is on sale for $59.99.

I remember when hard drivers were smaller than that flash drive is… and they most certainly did not fit into your pocket. Heck, I remember when a 2 GB flash drive was a thing of beauty and held so much stuff! I still own a 2GB flash drive. Suddenly, I feel really old.

I price compared this drive with a few of the places I could find the same model. NCIX.com has the same drive priced at $99.99 plus shipping. Newegg.ca has the drive on sale for $89.99 with $7.99 shipping. Future Shop’s deal is better because it is cheaper by $30 and you receive free shipping, which saves you another $8 or more.

So this thing is massive: not the actually flash drive itself – which is tiny – but capacity wise it is just huge. It can hold approximately 55,000 pictures or 18,000 songs. That is not just your average music library, which is a large enough capacity for an average disk jockey to feel comfortable being away from home for a good while. Those numbers may seem excessive, as I am sure your average Jo is not going to be carting around that many photos or songs. However, this drive will also hold around 85 SD or 32 HD movies. As more and more movies are including digital copies, this sort of capacity has pretty large appeal. You can now let your friend borrow your digital movie or transfer your films from one computer to another.

The USB drive uses 3.0 technology to transfer your data fast. This is certainly an improvement over 2.0. With the flash drive, you will also receive a five year warranty and free technical support encase anything corrupts or goes wrong with your drive. Kingston is usually good at standing behind their products and the five-year warranty on this one certainly gives that impression.

Ratings on the product have been positive. As one reviewer said:

Love it! Holds a ton of stuff, we have 2 computers in the house and works great for sending stuff back and forth, also so handy for filling with photos etc. to take when we travel to show friends and relatives. So convenient. Thanks.

Future Shop offers free shipping on orders of $20 or more.

Future Shop Canada 4 Day Sale: $70 Off PS4 Watch Dogs Bundle – Now $453

Posted by on July 11, 2014 at 5:00 PM

Future Shop Canada 4 Day Sale: $70 Off PS4 Watch Dogs Bundle Now $453

Still waiting to upgrade to a PlayStation 4? Then you might want to check out Future Shop’s four day sale, because during the next couple of days, the PlayStation 4 Watch Dogs bundle is down by $70 to just $453.49 (reg. $523.49).

On its own, the PS4 with one remote retails for $453.49 at Future Shop and $449.99 at Walmart. The Source has it on sale for $429.99 right now, but since you’re going to be needing a game to play anyway, then a bundle is the way to go. Costco has the Infamous Second Son bundle with two remotes for $564.99 and while it’s definitely worth it because it brings the price of the console down to just $363.22 ($65.89 regular price for each remote + $69.99 for the game), if you have no need for the second remote or don’t see yourself enjoying the included game, then the Watch Dogs bundle may be the way to go.

Since at Future Shop, Watch Dogs retails for $69.99, this means that with the bundle, you will actually be paying just $383.50 for the console on its own. Even better is that this is a highly acclaimed game with an average rating of eight out of ten. It basically revolves around the adventures of Aiden Pearce, a hacker who seeks to avenge the death of his niece. The cool part about the game is that you can choose to either perform the missions as a law-abiding citizen or in antagonism of the law. Here’s how one reviewer quickly summed up this game:

Two words: Awesome game!

Xbox fans will also be delighted to know that the Xbox One 500GB Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag bundle is also on sale for $503.49 (reg. $563.49). From the four day sale, there are also reductions on a couple of TVs, a washing machine, a laptop, speakers, cell phones etc. If you’re in need of headphones, then you might want to check out the Sony over-ear MDRZX310APB headphones as they’re now just $30.39 (reg. $50.39). They’re $49.99 everywhere else and can be used with a smartphone for hands-free use, have an integrated microphone, and the ear cups can even swivel! Another feature I particularly like is that the cord is a Y-type, which typically helps to reduce tangles.

Shipping is free or you can also reserve it in-stores to pick it up as soon as possible.

eBay Canada: Refurb. Jawbone Jambox Speaker $64 + Free Shipping

eBay Canada: Refurb. Jawbone Jambox Speaker $64 + Free Shipping

eBay Canada has a great deal for Canadians right now. Pick up an Authentic Original Jawbone Jambox Bluetooth Portable Speaker for $59.99 US = $63.88 CAN with free shipping.

The Jawbone ships from Ontario so there are no customs or duties to worry about. This is a manufacture refurbished Jawbone, so while it doesn’t come looking brand new out of that impossible-to-open packaging, what you are getting is a fully functional and amazing speaker at a very good deal.

The Jawbone speakers:

come in bulk (non-retail) packaging with all accessories included: Jawbone JAMBOX, microUSB charging cable, 3.5mm stereo cable, carrying case, AC adapter and user guide. Cosmetically they look brand new. This is not the Jambox Mini.

Now, why is this such a good deal? Well, let us look at the regular price of the full size Jawbone. I found them at Amazon.ca for $146 (cheapest) and prices only went up from there on other websites. Pick up a refurbished version and you are saving yourself a good chunk of money on one of the most powerful portable speakers on the market in this price range.

This speaker ranks a 4.2 /5 on Amazon with many people gushing over how great this speaker is. The battery life between recharges is good, the volume is excellent, and the sound quality also appears to be a hit. As one commenter said:

Great sound and amazing volume from such a small size. Hooked up the jawbone via bluetooth from my Android phone. I could adjust the sound settings from my phone. I was surprised by the bass when it caused the speaker vibrate on the counter. I took a phone call while using the Jambox and great hands free operation.

Over 240 of these units have sold already on eBay and supplies are limited. You can choose from grey, red, or black. All colours still appear to be in stock so get on this offer soon to get the greatest choice. I am usually an all-black sort of person, but the red is really attractive.

With free shipping and over $80 off the going price of this unit, I think it is a great deal. With refurbished products, the problems have already been fixed so you are getting a speaker that has essentially been gone over twice. I have had great success with refurbished products and am certainly considering buying one for myself.

NCIX Canada: Harman Kardon Blu-Ray Receiver & Speaker Package $900 Off (Now $400)

Posted by on July 10, 2014 at 10:00 AM

NCIX Canada: Harman Kardon Blu Ray Receiver & Speaker Package $900 Off (Now $400)

I found an absolutely fantastic deal on the Harman Kardon BDS277 2.1 Channel Integrated blu-ray receiver with HKTS5 2.1 speaker package. It is originally priced at $1,299.99 and the price is now only $399.99. That’s a savings of $900!

NCIX comes up with the regular price with both components priced separately – the receiver for $997.99 and the speaker system for $297.99. I took this information and put on my price comparing hat. Here I found a similar set at Amazon for $968.79. Costco had a similar set with different speakers on for $649.99. Nowhere came even close the low price of $400.

NCIX has absolutely no information about this set on their site, so I look elsewhere to find out a little more about this package. Basically, the receiver is an all-in-one system with music streaming, access to online content, ability to connect with Bluetooth devices, a 3D-capable Blu-ray player plus so much more. If you want the full details from the source, check out the Harman Kardon site.

I couldn’t really find any reviews out there on this system. This is something I could totally use. I have no interest in spending over $1000 on any electronics for my home, except maybe my computer and even then, I’m kind of cheap. I spend a lot of time reading and do watch the occasional movie, so spending a lot just doesn’t suit me. But, for only $400 I can do so much with this device, including streaming my music, which means I no longer have to listen to Pearl Jam on my crappy laptop speakers.

As another bonus to this hot deal, you’ll get free shipping! This item weighs 30lbs and that could cost a lot to ship, but lucky for you, you don’t have to worry about that!

I don’t know the expiry on this deal, but I assume it will sell out quickly, so it will pay not to wait.

Mastermind Toys Canada: Free HexBug Larva with any 2 HexBug products

Posted by on July 9, 2014 at 7:30 PM

Mastermind Toys Canada: Free HexBug Larva with any 2 HexBug products

Mastermind Toys Canada has a pretty great deal on right now that will keep your kids busy all summer long.  For a limited time only, get a free HexBug Larva when you purchase any two HexBug products at regular price.

HexBug products are little robotic type toys that are shaped like various animals, and sea life.  Some can swim, some are gravity-defying Nano V2 bugs, and some are larva bugs that slither and more.  They are pretty cool looking actually and the robotic like movements will entertain your kids for hours.

You will be able to choose any two HexBug products, and you will get a free HexBug larva that would regularly cost you $15. With this deal, there is a limit three free HexBug Larvas with the purchase of six HexBug products. The HexBugs are valued at $15 so you could potentially get up to $45 worth of free items with this deal.  That is a pretty sweet offer!

In total, there are 32 different HexBug products to choose from so you will have a pretty big variety when you are shopping.

I wanted to do a test run to see exactly how this deal worked and here is what I found. No matter what two products I added to my cart from the big selection, I got a free Hexbug with every two items.  Even when I added two of the HexBug auquabot 2.0 angelfish that are only $12.99 to my cart, I still got a free hexbug added.  Each time the free item was added with a total price of $0 to my cart.  This deal is more unique than some buy two get one free deals because normally, you pay for the more expensive items and get the lesser one for free.  I was able to actually put lesser expensive items in my cart as the ones I pay for and the HexBug priced at $15 was still free.  That is pretty amazing!

A deal like this is perfect for any birthday parties coming up your kids may be attending this summer.

When you spend $60 or more on your purchase, you will get free shipping.

Dell Canada: Sony Active Sport Headphones Now $29.99

Posted by on July 9, 2014 at 4:00 PM

Dell Canada: Sony Active Sport Headphones Now $29.99

Dell Canada is selling the Sony Active Sport Headphones in black for $29.99, which is half off the original price of $59.99.

I did some price checking at both Sony Canada itself and at other retailers. I found the same headphones for $54.99 at Sony Canada, $34.99 on sale at Best Buy Canada, $39.99 at Canada Computers, and $59.99 at NCIX Canada. Bestbuy.ca was the closest competitor but Dell.ca still had the better price.

The ear loop is adjustable for a perfect fit. Just hoop it around your ear and pull firmly into place. Once adjusted, the earbuds will stay in place with no more fiddling required. The headphones also come with four sizes of hybrid silicone earbuds so you can find the most comfortable fit for your shape and depth of ears. You might also prefer different earbud ends for different activities. While the headphones are water resistant, preventing water and sweat from leaking into the ear canal while working out, they should not be kept in continuous contact with water. These are not designed for swimming or for any sort of water sports.

These headphones feature an in-line remote with volume and track controls play, stop, next, and previous, which is compatible with Apple products. They also come with a built in microphone to make it simple to take calls while out on a run. The headphones come with a few accessories as well: a clip, a cord adjuster, and a mesh-carrying pouch to keep your headset from being tangled or snagged on things in your bag.

These headphones are lightweight, comfortable, water resistant, and designed for an active lifestyle. Whether running, cycling, or hiking; these headphones would make a good companion for your iPod, phone, or other MP3 player. Listen to your favourite music, podcasts, or ebooks as you enjoy yourself in the great outdoors or work out in your local gym. I always listen to music when I work out; it provides motivation when I usually have none. It also makes me work harder if I am listening to a strong beat like rock or metal. However, sweat tends to be an issue with earbuds and my headphones are too heavy. These would be a better option for the next time I take up going to the gym.

Dell Canada offers free shipping on all orders so these will ship for free.

Costco Canada: Pentax Q10 Digital Camera – Just $200

Posted by on July 7, 2014 at 9:00 PM

Costco Canada: Pentax Q10 Digital Camera Just $200

If you’re looking to buy a new digital camera, then Costco is selling the Pentax Q10 camera for just $199.97.

Towards the last trimester of my pregnancy, I upgraded to an iPhone 5s from the 4s generation one because I figured that with the imminent arrival of my baby, I would need a better camera. In hindsight, I should have perhaps kept my old phone and bought a digital camera instead because although the quality of my pictures has definitely improved, they definitely don’t compare to those taken with actual cameras as they are grainier when zoomed into.

The Pentax Q10 has the following noteworthy features:

  • 12.4 MP camera with a CMOS sensor
  • 3″ LCD monitor
  • full HD video
  • 5 fps high speed continuous shooting

The Photography Blog also recommends this camera for the everyday user as it has DLSR-like qualities without being a full-fledged DLSR one. I also really like that it’s small enough to fit into a pocket, or perhaps an overstuffed purse (;)) and only weighs 180 grams.

As for the battery life, according to Costco’s description, it can take an average of 260 pictures before needing to be recharged. The battery itself is also a lithium-ion one, which means that you won’t experience significant loss of charge when the camera isn’t in use. I particularly like this aspect as I’m definitely guilty of forgetting to recharge my electronics after using them.

I am very impressed for how much camera you get for a little price. It takes great shots if your not a pro but love pictures. Fun to use and looks smart. Super small and compact.

I love how that reviewer writes that this digital camera looks smart. I’m not too savvy with cameras, though I fancy myself to know a thing or two, but I definitely wouldn’t mind busting out this gagdet and taking pretty pictures, while turning the dial to the right setting as if I know exactly what I’m doing. Just kidding, but if you’re an everday photo-taker, then I’m sure you will catch my drift.

At $199, this is definitely the best deal all around for this nifty camera, especially since Amazon has it for $336.39 and The Camera Store is selling it for $379.56.

Even better is that Costco always offers free shipping on the vast majority of its products and you won’t have to worry about any pesky shipping fees.

Best Buy Canada Yellow Tag Sale: $120 Off Lexar 256GB USB Flash Drive – Now $110

Posted by on July 4, 2014 at 6:00 PM

Best Buy Canada Yellow Tag Sale: $120 Off Lexar 256GB USB Flash Drive Now $110The Yellow Tag Sale has just started at Best Buy and for three days only, there are plenty of hot deals to take advantage of on items like TVs, laptops, tablets, headsets and much more! Amongst the items on sale, I spotted the Lexar JumpDrive 256GB USB flash drive for just $109.99 (reg. $229.99).

I frequently transfer files between my desktop and my laptop, and there is nothing more annoying than getting an error message from a lack of storage space on the USB drive, but a 256GB stick would definitely hold a lot more data (more than 25 movies at the highest quality). The WD My Passport Ultra 1.5TB external hard drive is also on sale for just $100.89 (reg. $133.89) but while it’s cheaper, it really depends on what you’re looking to use the extra storage for. If you need something small for on the go, then the USB flash drive is a good choice. The external hard drive, on the other hand, is better for longer-term storage, though it can also be used for transferring files as well.

If you need a new backpack, then I also spotted the Init bag on sale for just $9.99 (reg. $29.99). It’s big enough to hold a 15.6″ laptop and comes with padded shoulder straps and several compartments inside.

Price Comparison

Usually, Future Shop lists the same prices as Best Buy, but it actually has this Lexar USB for $20 more at $129.99. Amazon has it on sale for $229.99, down from a $249.99 price.

Taking into consideration that this Lexar USB has 256GB of storage, I searched for other high storage USB flash drives on Best Buy and while there are no other 256GB ones available, the cheapest one I found the Lexar JumpDrive S33 128GB for $129.99 — that’s half the storage space, and still more expensive!

Since Best Buy always offers free shipping on orders over $20, you’re sure to get this USB flash drive absolutely free.

Newegg Canada Promo Code: 10% Off Your Purchase

Posted by on July 4, 2014 at 10:30 AM

Newegg Canada Promo Code: 10% Off Your Purchase

Get 10% off your purchase (excluding marketplace, clearance, refurbished and open box items) at New Egg Canada with this promo code.

Click here to shop @ Newegg.ca now

  • Coupon Code:  DD10NE
  • Discount: 10% off
  • Expiry: 6th July 2014

While 10% doesn’t seem like a huge discount, I haven’t seen many coupons from New Egg that apply to almost everything on their site. Also, because items like electronics can be pricey, getting 10% off can really add up.

NewEgg has a Boxing Week in July sale going on right now, with up to 75% off select items. There are items available that aren’t part of the exclusions above, so it may really be worth your while to check out what is on sale, then add the 10% discount on top of that.

We are in the market for a streaming device for the second TV we just bought. My kids have stolen a hard drive I had with movies on it, so I’m looking for something else to watch movies with. While this Netgear NeoTv streaming player is the older model, it is a really great price and I couldn’t find it in stock anywhere else. It seems like it has everything I need and the newer model is at least $20 more on sale at Best Buy. This model is regularly priced at $79.99, on sale for $39.99, but add the coupon code and pay only $35.99.

Another really hot deal I found was on the Polk Audio PSW series powered subwoofer. This is a shell shocker deal, on for today only and the code is applicable to it. I price compared and found a huge variance in prices, even up to $750, but at NewEgg, you’ll get it for $206.99 after promo code, with a regular price of $599.95.

Shipping depends on the item, as some have free shipping, some have shipping charges of $7.99.

You’ll want to keep up to date on all NewEgg promo codes, and you can do that by visiting the forum regularly.

Best Buy Canada has a sweet deal on this PNY 2600 mAh Portable Charger. Originally $39.99, the external battery is now on sale for $21.99. However, when you add it to your cart an extra 25% comes off the last price so you will pick up this sweet little device for only $16.49.

This baby will carry one full recharge for most smartphones. It is a small little stick so you can stuff it in your purse or backpack for those days when suddenly your battery is at 0% and your phone just shut itself off. It includes a 20″ micro USB cable to both charge the PowerPack and to charge your micro USB devices on the PowerPack. However, if you are running an Apple phone, you can just use your regular Apple cable to connect your phone to the charger.

Recharging the PowerPack is simple: just plug it into any USB port or even one of those USB to outlet converters. A digital display on the portable charger displays a numerical amount of remaining power in the PowerPack. The device comes charged and ready to use! This is such an amazing deal that there are limited quantities remaining.

If you miss this one, you will seriously want to pick up one of the other PNY portable chargers on sale. The PNY PowerPack 5200 mAh Portable Charger was $59.99 and is now on sale for $36.99. After you add it to your cart, it comes down to a mere $27.74. This battery pack will give you around two full charges for a standard smart phone.

If you need some serious power or want to charge a tablet, then pick up the PNY PowerPack 7800 mAh Portable Charger that was $79.99 and is on sale for $51.99. After you add it to your cart, it comes down to just $38.99. This pack has enough juice to charge up most tablets once or an average smartphone three times.

I also suggest checking out this NuPower Stix 2800mAh Battery Bank that was $24.99 and comes down to just $11.24 in your cart. It is also a fantastic deal.

I am a HUGE fan of external battery power for electronics. I cart around a portable charger for my iPhone because Apple makes crappy batteries (at least for the iPhone 5). I love the smaller stick for carrying in my purse and I have a larger charger for traveling. They are on my list of devices I could not live without.

Quantities are very limited! Receive free shipping on orders of $20 or more.

Apple Canada Back to School Offer

Apple Canada Back to School Offer

Apple Canada has just started up their back to school offer for students and teachers. With the purchase of desktops, laptops, iPads, and iPhones you will receive up to a $110 Apple Store gift card.

The first offer is two-fold. When you buy a laptop or desktop in the Apple Store for Education, you save money off the original retail price.

Buy a Mac for university and get $110 Apple Store gift card only at the Apple Store for Education. For example, an 11″ Macbook Air will cost you $949 as a student, which is $50 off the regular price of $999. Then, you will also receive the $110 bonus Apple Store Card.

In the land of desktops, the 21.5-inch: 1.4GHz Mac is $1149 regularly, but it costs $1099 with educational pricing. You will also receive that $110 gift card with your purchase.

If you purchase an iPad for college, you will receive a $55 Apple store gift card and receive educational pricing discounts. The iPad mini starts at $319 at Apple, but with the educational discount, it will cost students and teachers just $299 and you get the bonus $55 Apple Store gift card. Likewise, the Apple Air in the educational store starts at $499 instead of the regular $519 and comes with that gift card.

If you buy an iPhone for school, you will also receive a $55 Apple Store gift card but there are no further educational discounts. It is still a good deal, if you have wanted to get your hands on an iPhone because you can use the gift card to load your phone up with all the apps you want to buy and some great music as well.

This was always my favourite time of year to buy my Apple products. I really enjoyed combining the gift and the student discount to optimize my buying power. My graduation is in November so I will no longer be a student for the first time in many years. I am now carefully considering what I should buy before my status as a student ends best to take advantage of student discounts like these. You never realize how nice this kind of discount is until you are no longer eligible!

Apple Canada offers free shipping on orders of $75 or more so any major electronics, like these, that you will be buying will ship free.
