    eHarmony.ca Free Communication Weekend

Posted by on June 29, 2012 at 10:00 AM

    eHarmony.ca Free Communication Weekend

(Bump) This weekend only, they’re having a free communication weekend on eHarmony Canada, the online dating site, to celebrate Canada Day!

Usually, you have to pay to use the service if you want to get in contact with potential matches, but that’s free this weekend only. You can sign up without a credit card, you don’t need to worry about any subscription fees kicking in after the weekend.

** Free Communication does not include photos, secure call  or Skip to Email

You know, online dating sites really don’t have much of a stigma attached to them any more – it’s a pretty common thing to do, and no-one bats an eyelid when they hear that a couple met online. If you do meet someone, you could maybe try out these frugal first date ideas!

So, whether you’re a man seeking a gal, a woman seeking a dude, a boy seeking a gent, or a lady seeking a belle, this weekend could be a good time to try out the services on eHarmony. Did you meet your partner on a dating site? Share your story below!

(Ends 2nd July 2012) (Thanks Anthony Citrano)

eHarmony: 7 More Days Of Free Communication

eHarmony: 7 More Days Of Free Communication

Little late on posting this one, but from October 1 – 10 eHarmony is having a free communication event where you can communicate for free with your compatible matches. No credit card necessary.

I have seen tons of eHarmony advertisements but don’t know anyone who has used the system. I have met a lot of people over forums, etc but only ever tried one ‘dating site’ and never met any long lasting friends even through there. I met my husband the good old fashioned way, in person. Have any of our Moosers had eHarmony success stories?

    *Does not include eHarmony mail

    Eharmony.ca Free Communication Weekend!

    Eharmony.ca Free Communication Weekend!

Love is in the air… everywhere I look around… love is in the air… every sight and every sound…

OK, if you had heard me singing that tune, you would probably have poked yourself in the ears with hot knitting needles, to try and stop the pain. But if that’s what you feel like, maybe you’d be interested in checking out the free communication weekend on eharmony.ca.

Now normally you have to be a paid eharmony subscriber if you want to get in contact with any of your lovely matches. But this weekend, you can contact them for free! It’s a good chance for you to check out the service for a few days, and see whether you’d actually consider paying for a subscription.

If you’d like a laugh, take a look at this little 80s dating video compilation on youtube.

With such interesting comments as “Hi, my name’s Mike, and if you’re sitting there watching this tape smoking your cigarette, well, hit the fast forward button, cause I don’t smoke and I don’t like people who do smoke.” What an introduction! I do agree with him whole-heartedly, but it maybe isn’t the friendliest way to introduce yourself to possibly lady friends Mike!

Hi Mom” probably isn’t a good intro either!

Hating Dating? Loathing Loving? Get On eHarmony.ca!

Hating Dating? Loathing Loving? Get On eHarmony.ca!

12th Feb 2009 - Aahhhh the dating game. One of life’s little tribulations. But with the invention of the interwebtubes… dating is now so much easier! We have the likes of eHarmony Canada to help us to connect to like-minded people, for possible friendship… and more!

Normally eHarmony charge a subscription fee for you to review your matches and possible dates. However, on Valentines weekend (Friday February 13th – Monday February 16th 2009 NOW Thursday 26th March to Sunday 29th March 2009), they are waiving this fee and you can use their complete service for nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch.

This is a pretty good marketing strategy from eHarmony.ca actually. It gets people using it who would not have tried it out, and hopefully will end up with a few extra paid subscribers after the free weekend is over. Hopefully, it will end with a few happy couples too!! So if you’re a man seeking a woman, a woman seeking a man, a man seeking some women, a man seeking a man, a woman seeking a woman, a hermaphrodite seeking an androgyne, a cat seeking a mouse, whatever… you might find your match there!

Hating Dating? Loathing Loving? Get On eHarmony.ca!I’ve heard a few scary stories about people who are quite addicted to these kind of sites. A friend of the family (lets call him Mr X) apparently fell in love with a girl from a nearby city. They met a few times, and were getting on fairly well. The next thing Mr X knows is that the woman’s sister called him to report that she was dead. This came as a bit of a shock! So he toured the cemeteries trying to find her funeral on the day it was reported to be, but alas and alack, he could find no such funeral! When he got home, the recently deceased was still logged into MSN instant messaging… but apparently that was her sister using her account. Hmmmmm. Beliveable. I don’t think so.

Have you seen Burn After Reading? The lady in that is quite into the whole internet dating scene. She hits the jackpot though, when she finds George Clooney is her blind date! Whoo hoo! That’s a blind date I could live with.

    Thanks wardomatic.

UPDATE 26th March 2009 – free weekend is back! This time it’s the 26th to 29th of March 2009!
