Amazon Canada: Sons of Anarchy Was $200 | Now $140 & Free Shipping

Aching for a Jax fix? With my favourite show completely over (Sons of Anarchy) and my other favourite show done for the season (Shameless), I need something to tide me over for a while. I could really get into the complete series of Sons of Anarchy and Amazon has a great deal for me. Get Sons of Anarchy: The Complete Series giftset for only $139.99, with a regular price of $199.98. Because it is over $25, free shipping comes along with it.

This giftset would also make a great Father’s Day gift for a lover of the show or for someone who has never seen the show and definitely should. I have to say, I was very disappointed in how it all ended, although I am in the minority with that statement.

I could not really find any details anywhere about what exactly this set contains. I do see that it has 23 discs on DVD with seasons 1 – 7 of the show. On top of that it looks like it has a very cool wood box to keep this collection. Then it has what looks like a replica of the gang’s table with the Sons etched design. On top of that, there is a photobook, which will help you relive your days with Sam Crow.

Reading the reviews on Amazon.com, they say that a real fan will absolutely love and need this set. There are only two reviews on Amazon.ca, but both give it a 5-star rating, citing that its a great set to have.

This is definitely the cheapest you will find set, if you even find it elsewhere. Best Buy was selling it for $184.99, but it is completely sold out. If you wanted just the discs, each season sells for about $25 – $35 a season, bringing your total to a minimum of $175, without all the extras.

Today Only! Sex And The City Complete DVD Set Was $160 | Now $90 & Free Shipping @ Amazon Canada

Posted by on April 15, 2015 at 11:09 AM

Today Only! Sex And The City Complete DVD Set Was $160 | Now $90 & Free Shipping @ Amazon Canada

Watch all of your favourite episodes of Sex and the City again with this fantastic combo pack from Amazon Canada. Right now, you can purchase the complete box set that was $159.99, for only $89.99. That saves you 58% on the list price plus qualifies for free super saver shipping.

Sex and the City is a fantastic show that focuses on love, sex and friendship. Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte are four bachelorette friends living in New York City. The show follows all four of them through hookups, marriage and divorce as they try to navigate the complex web that is life in your twenties and thirties in a fast-paced city. Fashion forward Carrie leads the show. She weekly inspired us with her columns about sex and relationships as she tries everything she can think to balance modern love in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Carrie constantly consults her three closest friends, who also are also running into hilarious snags with their love lives. This shows is full of laughs, memorable quotes and lots of fantastic fashion to ogle.

This is a good series to unwind with at the end of the day with a glass of wine. I was always rehashing this show with my friends the next day after a new episode when it was new show. The series has a huge following still. If you ever visit New York City, you can take tours that show you all the places the show was filmed.

This set includes all six seasons on DVD. Several reviewers are reporting that this set includes both Sex And The City movies, although I cannot find any details that specify that from Amazon and confirm that it includes the movies. The first movie was decent, but you are not missing much if you missed the second movie in my opinion. The series was where these characters shined. Ratings on this DVD set are very high with a four and a half star rating with over 60 reviews. According to Amazon Canada, this series is ranked number three in the category television comedy on DVD. There is a lot of competition in that category! A few reviewers had trouble with the packaging being tough. I would open this carefully the first time to avoid damaging the discs.

Checking around the web, this set is starting to get harder to find than it was a few years back. Costco Canada is the closest to Amazon Canada’s deal, selling this Sex and the City box set for $89.99. This set sells @ Chapters for $159.99. A similar set was available @ Best Buy Canada for $149.99 but is now out of stock.

Grab this set now, this is a special one day deal. I am going to grab a copy for myself, and plan a night for my friends when it arrives to watch the first episode.

Amazon Canada: 73% Off Game of Thrones Season 1 DVD – Now $20.49

Posted by on April 8, 2015 at 8:37 AM

Amazon Canada: 73% Off Game of Thrones Season 1 DVD Now $20.49

Ahhh, I can hardly contain my excitement! The Game of Thrones season 1 DVD is 73% off at Amazon right now and can be yours for just $20.49!

I just finished watching season 4 and boy oh boy, if you haven’t watched Game of Thrones yet, then this is a fabulous opportunity. I was a little iffy about giving this TV show a try because I seem to remember watching a scene that looked to have been very poorly made but after marathoning through all four season, I can safely say that this definitely isn’t the case.

All of the Game of Thrones seasons are very well made and the great part about this TV series is that it will have you at the edge of your seat the entire time. So many times, my hubby and I simply sat in shock as events in the series unfolded that we never thought would ever happen because things like that just don’t happen on TV!

But of course, George R. R. Martin, the author of this crazy book series, is widely renown for his plot twists and turns, though that’s what makes watching them even funner. An article I read once concerning one of the most shocking scenes in the series (in season 2, mind you), pointed out that watchers of the series are much more vulnerable than book readers because of the immense foreshadowing in the books. In the series, there is hardly any foreshadowing. One second, you’re cheering for the characters and the scenes and the next, you’re in complete shock and wondering what the heck just happened.

What’s cool about the DVD is that it also comes with bonus footage like:

  • The making of Game of Thrones
  • An explanation behind the creation of the Dothraki language
  • Insight into The Night’s Watch
  • Audio commentary from the cast & crew
  • 15 character profiles

Shipping is only free on orders over $25, so you would need to add a filler item. You can get the other seasons on DVD for:

Get it quick though because the fifth season of Game of Thrones is airing April 13th!

Breaking Bad: The Complete Series Was $161 | Now $70 & Free Shipping @ Amazon Canada

Posted by on April 6, 2015 at 8:49 AM

Breaking Bad: The Complete Series Was $161 | Now $70 & Free Shipping @ Amazon Canada

If you are a fan of Breaking Bad, need to get your fix and Better Call Saul just isn’t getting you that high, you could get this hot deal from Amazon today. Get the complete series of Breaking Bad today for only $69.99, with a regular price of $160.99. Because the set is over $25, it will also ship for free.

This is the DVD set and has about 3000 minutes of terrifying goodness. If you were sick or had to stay up for over two straight days, you could watch this entire set in those 50 hours.

If you haven’t seen Breaking Bad, you really are missing out on one of television’s greatest series. The show has its emotional moments and also its gruesome. There were times I had to look away and many times I could not look away. The adventures of Walter White and his gang make for some amazing TV!

Just to show you that this is the best price around, check it out at Walmart, where it sells for $107.97, although it does have a bonus bottle opener. I don’t think I’d pay $37 for a bottle opener. I didn’t see this set anywhere else on DVD, but know that the blu-ray set is about 2.5 times the price of this set at Amazon.

If you are more of a collector, Amazon also has a sweet deal at 63% off today on the Breaking Bad: The Complete Series Limited Edition 2014 Barrel. It regularly sells for $299.99 and is now on sale for $109.99. It has been on sale before, but not for this low of a price. Walmart sells it for $210.97. Otherwise, I didn’t see this set elsewhere either.

I’d love to pick up this set just to watch the two-hour documentary that is included.

You can take a read of the reviews yourself, but as you’ll see, the general consensus is that everyone loves Breaking Bad and loves the collector’s set as well.

This might make a fantastic Father’s Day gift!

The Office: Complete Series On DVD Was $230 Now $63.49 @ Amazon Canada! (EXPIRED)

The Office: Complete Series On DVD Was $230 Now $63.49 @ Amazon Canada! (EXPIRED)

*** BUMP – there’s been a further price drop on this item at Amazon. When we first published this post, it was $89.99. It’s now dropped to $63.49! ***

That’s what she said. Today’s deal at Amazon is for the complete series of The Office on DVD – normally selling for $229.99, you can now purchase this set for $89.99 only $63.49. You’ll also get free shipping with your order!

The Office: The Complete Series on DVD is currently on sale for $172.99 at Best Buy and Future Shop. It’s also $165 @ Walmart.ca.

Oh, how I loved The Office – its dry humour that gave us a glimpse into a, often-mismanaged Scranton, Pennsylvania paper company known as Dunder Mifflin was a ground-breaking show for its time. It intrigued me when I first watched it back in the mid-2000s, since I didn’t hear the obligatory laugh-track in between every joke on the show.

Remember when TV shows had to remind us when we were supposed to laugh? After watching The Office, it kind of ruined many shows with laugh-tracks for me (at least the newer ones – I will always love Seinfeld and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air).

Either way, I really enjoyed watching The Office. It was a thoroughly enjoyable series with memorable characters such as Dwight, Andy, and of course, Michael Scott (played by Steve Carrell). One of my favourite lines in the series is when Michael Scott (the manager of the Dunder Mifflin office in Scranton, PA) is trying to motivate his employees, and has the following inspirational line written down on chart paper: You miss 100% of the shots that you don’t take. -Wayne Gretzky -Michael Scott.

The last few seasons aren’t as creative or hilarious as the earlier seasons, but they’re still fun to watch. Mindy Kaling of The Mindy Project also rose to prominence during her time on The Office.

Get this great DVD set before it’s sold out! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

VHS to DVD Conversion Kit Was $70 Now Only $14 & Free Shipping @ nCrowd.ca!

Posted by on March 14, 2015 at 10:02 AM

VHS to DVD Conversion Kit Was $70 Now Only $14 & Free Shipping @ nCrowd.ca!

Do you have any old home movies on VHS gathering dust in a cupboard somewhere? I think this could be the case for quite a few Moosers, if you’re anything like me. If so, you might have considered getting those VHS movies converted to DVD or digital files, so that you can watch them now and in the future. I’ve found a deal that will help you on that quest – it’s an offer on a VHS to DVD conversion kit. Usually this type of kit is around $70 to buy, but you can actually get this one for only $14 with free shipping @ nCrowd.ca!

When you click through on the above link, you will see that the price on the VHS to DVD kit is currently $19. However, there are a number of nCrowd coupon codes here which you might want to use with this order, the best of which is free5 for a $5 discount. This brings the final price down to only $14 with free shipping which is a really nice deal.

Before I started this post, I actually saw that this was a popular offer here on Tuango, where the kit was going for $22 PLUS shipping. However, when I started price comparing and discovered the above offer from nCrowd was even cheaper… and then found the additional $5 coupon code, I thought that I really must share this with you guys!

In the nCrowd deal, you get the following items:

  • Video adapter
  • CD-ROM & software
  • USB cable
  • User manual

From the looks of it, you will need to have an old-style VCR on which to actually play the tapes, during the conversion process. If you only have the tapes and not the actual VCR, then you’d need to maybe find out if any friends or family have a VCR which you could use this with.

For me, I’ve got a VHS tape here which is around 30 years old. It contains some old, grainy footage of me when I was around 4 years old, and my little sister, playing in our yard. It’s the only tape I have of myself when I was young. I haven’t watched it in a few years because we don’t actually have a VCR any more! I really, really must get it converted to have it for the future. Do you have any tapes you need to convert?

Boy Meets World Series Collection On DVD Was $100 | Now $27.49 & Free Shipping @ Amazon.ca (Expired)

Boy Meets World Series Collection On DVD Was $100 | Now $27.49 & Free Shipping @ Amazon.ca (Expired)

Check out the complete series of Boy Meets World on DVD. You get all seven seasons of this hilarious and cheesy show. This series was $100 but is now only $27.49. It qualifies for Amazon’s free shipping with a minimum purchase of $25.

Amazon is stocking us up with some of my favourite sitcom shows from the 90s this week. Yesterday Margarita blogged about Sabrina The Teenage Witch being on sale. It was not long ago that Anna posted about Saved By The Bell being on sale. It is time to dig out a flannel shirt and some Doc Martens for a 90s series marathon. I think we only need a good quality does of Sister Sister and Home Improvement to complete a 90s sitcom marathon.

I really loved this series. It was another one of those guilty pleasure shows, and I would watch the syndicated reruns repeatedly. I wanted to be Topanga once she grew out of the earth mother stage and became a little cooler. I cheered on Cory and Sean as they goofed around and learned a lesson or three in Mr. Feeny’s classroom. I loved the cheesy jokes, the love story between Topanga and Cory and the rebellious friend Sean with just a little bit of an edge. Boy Meets World Is a classic nineties sitcom with the right balance of cheese, lessons to be learned and loveable characters. The seven seasons of this show takes us from middle school all the way through college with our favourite characters as we cheer them on to make good choices and navigate growing up.

Did you wonder what happened to these characters after college? Disney recently created a spinoff series, Girl Meets World. Once you have finished all of the classic episodes in this box, the new series is worth checking out. Cory and Topanga are married now with a quirky daughter and an edgy friend. Girl Meets World does hold true to the essence of the original show. The new show has plenty of cameos and nods to the original series. Check out a little more about the buzz surrounding both the old and the new shows in this article from Entertainment Weekly. You can re-watch the original series with your partner or kids, and then have a few extra laughs at the new series.

Walmart has this series for the low price of $70. This series is also on sale right now at Chapters for $70. You could buy seasons one through five only at Staples for $17.81 a piece, but you would still be missing two seasons and would pay $89.50. I noticed Best Buy and Future Shop both retailed the complete series at around $75 but, neither had it in stock.

You do not have to take my word for it. There is plenty of love for this series on Amazon.

It definitely brought back my childhood. I used to love this show and when I saw that amazon had it on sale I knew that I had to buy it. And still to this day, this show does not disappoint!

Grab it at Amazon while it is a steal. My husband was even eying this deal over my shoulder as I typed this out. I do not think the stock will last long.

To get you ready, here is a great funny clip from the show.

Bargainmoosers, what is your favourite nineties sitcom?

Amazon Canada: $97 Off Sabrina The Teenage Witch Complete Series Box Set – Now $62 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

Amazon Canada: $97 Off Sabrina The Teenage Witch Complete Series Box Set Now $62 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

Moosers, don’t you just miss Salem the Cat? I sure do! If you’re in the mood to re-watch the best TV series of all time (okay, I’m slightly exaggerating on that one), then grab the Sabrina the Teenage Witch Complete Series box set while you still can because it’s currently on sale for $62.49 at Amazon. It was originally priced as high as $159.98, which puts it at a 61% discount. Shipping is also free.

A TV series that first aired in 1996, Sabrina the Teenage Witch is an iconic series of the 90’s starring Melissa Joan Hart, Caroline Rhea, Beth Broderick and many other great actors. Here’s what someone had to say about this series:

This show is a classic. Watched it in the 90’s and ordered it for my daughter, she loves it! Highly recommend for good family fun.

The picture quality seems to be somewhat of a hit or miss with reviewers with some praising it as being clear and others stating the following:

The picture quality however is very grainy and is sometimes so bad it’s kind of distracting. The picture quality is the worst I’v ever seen on a dvd.

But I think it’s important to remember that this show is nearly twenty years old and so some graininess is definitely to be expected!

Browsing around Amazon’s TV show section, I also spotted a deal on the Breaking Bad complete series limited edition 2014 barrel. Originally priced at $299.99, it’s now 38% off and can be yours for just $184.99. During Boxing Day, this box set fell in price to just $120, but since there is no guarantee that it will go back to that price any time soon, I thought I would let you Moosers know of the current price drop.

On top of including all of the seasons, it also comes with a 2-hour documentary, a commemorative challenge coin, a Los Pollos Hermano apron and a “Better Call Saul” matchbook 4GB flash drive. Keep in mind that with regards to the flash drive, it comes with a coupon code to use online to unlock special content but although it’s unavailable to Canada, here’s a great tip from a reviewer to view it anyways:

Using a proxy to disguise my location allowed me to enter the code and see the site. There is a photo gallery of “Better Call Saul” & Breaking Bad props and a 4 minute video showing day one of filming at a skateboard park.

Saved by the Bell: The Complete Collection DVD, Was $62 Now $27.49 & Free Shipping @ Amazon! (EXPIRED)

Saved by the Bell: The Complete Collection DVD, Was $62 Now $27.49 & Free Shipping @ Amazon! (EXPIRED)

For today only, Amazon.ca has a great price on a great little piece of nostalgia – the complete DVD collection of Saved by the Bell! Originally priced at $61.99, you can get this classic TV show for only $27.49 with free super saver shipping.

In the above DVD deal, you are getting all four seasons of this show which actually started airing in 1989. Way back in April 2014, this DVD set had dropped to $24.99 for a couple of days, but I haven’t see it that low since then. And as for a price comparison just now, the very same DVD boxset is $45 @ Staples, $46 @ Chapters, $50 @ Walmart. The Amazon price today is really great.

I am sure you are all familiar with the show, but just in case you are not, here’s a quick blurb:

A TV show centered on six students and their years at Bayside High School in Palisades, California.

I was surprised to see that this show only gets a score of 7.0/10 on IMDB, I thought it would have gotten higher ratings.

I LOVED THIS SHOW!!! I was only aged 8 at the point when the show first started, but I don’t recall watching it at that early age. However, it must have been the re-runs that hooked me, and created my first ever teenage crush… on Zack Morris, of course. Look at him now – still hot! Since Saved by the Bell, he’s been in a lot of other TV shows which you will recognise such as CSI and Weeds. It looks like he never gets major roles though; they’re usually single-episode, bit parts.

As for the other characters, actors and actresses, I recently spotted “Kelly Kapowski” (Tiffani Thiessen) with a fairly major role in the TV show White Collar. I’ve seen the first five seasons of this show and I am waiting for the next season to be made available on Netflix. And you know what? She’s hardly changed at all – you can easily recognise her as Kelly!

Amazon Canada: Are You Being Served? The Complete Collection On DVD | Was $125 Now $45

(BUMP: The price on this Boxset went back up to full price, but it’s down again, back at a lower price!)

Good morning, my fellow Bargainmoosers! Amazon has  is continuing their savings-filled march to Black Friday this deal for Are You Being Served? The Complete Collection on DVD. It normally sells on Amazon for $124.98, but you can now buy it for $45.99 $44.99! You’ll also qualify for free shipping when you purchase this huge box set! This deal is only valid today, so get it while you still have a chance.

For those who aren’t aware, Are You Being Served? was a popular comedy program that played on the British BBC network. Episodes of this comedy show were also played on YTV here in Canada (and I’m sure it was on some other channels as well, but I specifically remember finding it on YTV late at night when I was a child, and it continued to be played when I was a teen).

This is a cute set for fans of this hilarious British show. My best friend was born in England, and I still specifically remember his Grandma and Mom watching this series and having a great time while doing so. This Are You Being Served? The Complete Collection on DVD set would certainly please fans of the series, since it’s packed with tons of episodes spanning 14 DVDs. It could be a great gift for the holidays.

If you wanted to buy this Are You Being Served? The Complete Collection on DVD from WalMart Canada, it would cost you $94.21 (that’s more than double the price on Amazon today). I’ve included a brief review of this set from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

I have been a huge fan of Are You Being Served for decades. This complete series is a necessary part of my DVD collection. The episodes need no comment, they are funny, entertaining, a great British show.

You can check out some of Amazon’s other countdown to Black Friday deals right here on Bargainmoose by clicking here. You can find all other Black Friday deals here. Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Buy 3 Select TV Series on DVD & Get Extra $10 Off @ Amazon.ca

Posted by on January 19, 2015 at 11:08 AM

Buy 3 Select TV Series on DVD & Get Extra $10 Off @ Amazon.ca

Here is a sweet little deal where you can pick up a couple of great classic TV series. Amazon is offering an extra $10 off when you purchase 3 select TV series on DVDs. Free shipping is available on orders over $25 and it’s likely your order can easily reach that total depending on the series you choose.

Snatch up some of your favourite TV series while they are hot, folks. I can see some of these DVD sets making great Valentine’s Day presents. The selection of these DVDs seems to be a mix of classic TVv shows and more modern sci-fi, and favourite TV series from the last 20 years or so. The good news is there are some great series to be snatched up here and the prices are low to begin with, averaging between $8 to $10 per season.

Some of the more modern series available include:

  • Firefly
  • 24
  • Archer
  • Prison Break
  • White Color
  • Burn Notice
  • How I Met Your Mother
  • Futurama
  • The X Files
  • Buffy
  • Angel
  • Stargate SG-1
  • Lie To Me
  • American Dad
  • Malcom In The Middle
  • Planet of The Apes
  • Saving Grace
  • It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Also included in the list are some classic shows including:

  • Green Acres
  • Mash
  • Remington Steel
  • The Mary Tyler Moore Show

You can really see a clear divide between two different TV eras, looking at that list. The good news is you can mix and match to get a taste of both if you have a foot in each camp.

I have to admit I am partial to a couple on this list. My hubby and I worked our way through Buffy from beginning to end, while we were still dating. The series writing is written really well. Buffy is witty and has lots of action. It is hard not to cheer on a kick-butt chick, fighting zombies while trying to maintain some semblance of a life in high school in the 90s. I could see easily snagging Buffy again to watch from beginning to end. Once you get hooked you may be craving more and it is a great time to pick up the spinoff/crossover series Angel also.

There are many great quotable lines including one of my favorites:

If the apocalypse comes, beep me. – Buffy

If you are in the mood for a great comedy do not overlook How I Met Your Mother. Those syndicated reruns will not be playing forever folks! My favourite thing about this series is it really is a series that you can pick up in the middle and still enjoy episode by episode, with lots of laughs. If you watch this series from beginning to end, you will catch more of the complexity of the story the writers add between the laughs. At its core, this series is a comedy that is a great to unwind to at the end of a long day. It will not take long before you are cheering for Ted, Robin, Lily, Marshal and even Barney and wishing you had a spot at their table at the bar as they navigate life in their 20s and 30s.

If you see many series on the list you like, I would recommend creating more than one order. For every 3 series you purchase, you can receive $10 off. So if you want to score all 11 seasons of MASH for example, you may want to split it up into multiple orders to save more. Here’s an example, to show you what we mean:

Buy 3 Select TV Series on DVD & Get Extra $10 Off @ Amazon.ca

The first three seasons of MASH come to around $27. But as you can see above, it totals $16.97 AND you get free shipping as well, as the pre-discounted price was above $25. Sweet!

Bargainmoosers, what is one of your favourite series on this list?

It’s Bender Baby! (63% Off Today Only) Futurama The Complete Series DVD $75 @ Amazon.ca (EXPIRED)

Posted by on January 3, 2015 at 8:49 AM

Its Bender Baby! (63% Off Today Only) Futurama The Complete Series DVD $75 @ Amazon.ca (EXPIRED)

Futurama fans we are calling you. Today only, you can pick up the complete series of Futurama on DVD including all 8 seasons at 63% off. Originally priced at $124, you can now buy the whole series for only $75. Free shipping is included for this item on Amazon.

Futurama is a hilarious series set in a retro yet futuristic world. We follow Fry, a not-so-smart human who is frozen cryogenically in the year 2000 and finds himself awake in the year 2999. He gets a job as a cargo/pizza delivery boy with his only living relative and makes a group of misfit friends both human and alien alike. The show is created and written by Matt Groening and David Cohen of The Simpsons and has a similar sense of humour. Personally, I think it is a hilarious series and have spent many evenings enjoying an episode of Futurama over the years.  I find the series has the humour of The Simpsons or Family Guy combined with the futuristic space fun of The Jetsons plus they added in more aliens.

Futurama fans mean serious business. The series has had a tough haul from beginning to end as it moved around to multiple TV networks and even stopped production for about 4 years in the middle. Producers felt that comedy was too harsh and crass for prime time TV. Fans of the series felt differently. Fuelled by reruns, they created online campaigns to bring the series back. Somewhere I even have a T-shirt for saving Futurama, in my closet. Eventually the series did return to a different network with the entire original cast. Futurama has won numerous awards for being an excellent animated series including 6 Emmy wins and 14 Emmy nominations.

I would pick this one up on DVD and not bother waiting for the Blu-ray version myself. Since the series history is so disjointed, I suspect it will take them quite a while to reformat this into something decent for Blu-ray. Enjoy the episodes now instead.

I should note that I have seen several places around the web that the series was on sale for $70 just before the holidays. If you missed that sale however, $75 is still an amazing price for this entire series. Check out what the competitors are offering.

  • $117 @ Walmart – only sold as individual seasons, ranging from $10 to $25 each
  • $135 @ FutureShop.ca – Reserve for in store pick-up only
  • $140 @ Chapters Indigo
  • $169 @ Archambault.ca

As I mentioned before, fans of this series are full force in their love and loyalty for the characters. Several reviewers are mentioning packaging flaws on the DVDs. Here’s one happy reviewer overall.

A few minor packaging flaws but it’s nothing in comparison to the content of the series. I have been a fan of the series since it started and couldn’t wait to get a complete set. Love the Hypnotoad extra episode.

I would pick this one up now, folks. The series has only been available on DVD for about a year and I do not think we will see the price drop down again like this for a while.

Bargainmoosers, are there any TV shows you like enough to own the T-shirt?

HOT! Save 91% off Enders Game DVD Just $3 @ Amazon Canada

If you have been shopping for some hot deals at Amazon.ca, you are probably well aware that you need to spend $25 to get free shipping. Sometimes I find items for $23 or $24 and just can’t find a filler for a low enough price. Problem solved. For a limited time, you can purchase the Ender’s Game DVD for only $2.99. This DVD was originally priced at $32.99 so you are quite literally saving 91% off that previous price.

If you have read the Ender’s Game novel, you won’t want to miss this offer. For just $2.99 you can get the Ender’s Game on DVD, while supplies last. This Ender’s Game movie takes place in the near future. The Formics (a hostile alien race) have set an attack on Earth. If not for Earth’s hero, all would have been lost. To prepare for the next alien attack, young children are trained to be the military’s next great hope. Saying that, Ender’s Game is an epic adventure movie. If you are into adventure and action movies, you should like it. You also can’t beat the current price tag of just $2.99.

Out of 52 reviews, Ender’s Game on DVD from Amazon.ca still holds a 4 star rating. Here is one of the reviews from Amazon Canada:

I decided to check out the DVD “Ender’s Game” with my husband after he expressed an interest in watching it. Ender’s Game follows the plight of a talented youth who shows potential for military leadership. Ender is selected for specialized training that would prepare him for an upcoming space battle. The character of Ender is shown enduring great tests to sharpen his readiness alongside other adolescents who are also highly gifted. Harrison Ford plays one of the military leaders who spearheads a great portion of the training. Ender’s Game is great for those who like science fiction films with a metaphorical slant.

Personally, I have not watched this movie. I did like other science fiction films like Divergent and The Hunger Games so I am sure I would like it. For $2.99 you can’t go wrong. Speaking of great films, have you guys watched Maze Runner yet? I loved that movie!

Get free shipping when you spend $25 from Amazon.ca. If you are looking to reach that total, Amazon.ca has a pretty good bundle available right now. You can purchase Ender’s Game, Divergent and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire for just $27.98.

Amazon Canada: Harry Potter Hogwarts Collection Was $293| Now $77 (EXPIRED)

Consider this your personal owl mail. The ultimate Hogwarts Collection that includes Blu-Ray, Dvd and Ultraviolet is 74% off. You pay $77 and it includes free shipping. This collector set was $293. Amazon is giving us a treat just in time for Christmas and Boxing Day.

This collection is massive  for all of you Harry Potter fans. This comprehensive 31-disk set includes all eight Harry Potter movies in blu-ray, DVD and ultraviolet format. You can immersive yourself in the Harry Potter world with over 37 hours of special features. That’s a day and a half straight of special features if you were to watch them back to back. That does not include the time to watch the films in a true movie marathon folks.

Included also is the Creating the World of Harry Potter documentary. This is an 8 part series that is a comprehensive look at almost every detail in the films.

The movies are fantastic to own to watch over again and you can with this set. This collection is really all about the special features. It gives Harry Potter fans more insights into the making of the films and an outlet to immersive themselves in all of the amazing details. In reality though I personally feel the storyline is fantastic but it is the details of the Harry Potter world that truly make it magical. They did forget to tell us what Daniel Radcliffe ate every day between takes while the movies were filming so you might perhaps be disappointed if you wanted that level of detail. Seriously it is a detailed special edition.

Fans of the movies and books alike are digging this intensive set and are talking about it. 72 people have taken time out of their day to tell us what they think and it is still at almost 5 stars. Here is one of the best reviews.

This was exactly what I was looking for! I’m a huge fan of the Harry Potter Saga both the books and the movies. I was really interested in how the movies were made and seeing interviews with the cast. This package certainly doesn’t disappoint with hours of back stage stuff from the making of the movie sets, filming scenes and interviews with the cast. Awesome! Highly recommend this collection!

Looking at the competition, no one else really comes close to this amazing deal.

Star Trek Box Sets Price Drops @ Amazon.ca: Save Up To 68%!

Posted by on December 2, 2014 at 3:26 PM

I’ve spotted a couple of great prices on Star Trek box sets online @ Amazon.ca! I’m a trekkie and have been for about 20 years now – I love these shows! They have been reduced by between 61% and 68% – here are all the details:

Save 64% on Star Trek: Stardate Collection [Blu-ray] (Bilingual) – was $139.99 now $49.99

Star Trek Box Sets Price Drops @ Amazon.ca: Save Up To 68%!

Elsewhere, you can expect to pay $109 @ Walmart, $146 @ Archambault, $110 @ Chapters, $115 @ Future Shop. This collection contains movies one to ten of the Star Trek motion pictures. Which is your favourite? I loved Generations – William Shatner and Patrick Stewart in one movie – SPINE TINGLING!!

Save 68% on Star Trek Deep Space Nine: The Complete Series was $449.99 now $144.99

Star Trek Box Sets Price Drops @ Amazon.ca: Save Up To 68%!

The prices for this box set elsewhere: $318 @ Staples, $338 @ Indigo. It’s got the whole Deep Space Nine collection… that’s ALOTTA Star Trek! I have to say that quark was one of my favourite characters in this. And I often go Quark-spotting – trying to spot the actor out of make-up, playing cameos in other TV shows.

Save 61% on Star Trek: Original Series (Remastered) 3 Season Pack was $159.99 now $61.99

Star Trek Box Sets Price Drops @ Amazon.ca: Save Up To 68%!

To buy this particular boxset elsewhere, there’s a similar one for $305 @ Walmart, but I don’t see this exact one on sale elsewhere in Canada. Looks like a lovely set! I bought the first series of the original Star Trek a few years back, it’s an absolute pleasure to watch. The best ever episode is in season two though – The Trouble with Tribbles. And Deep Space Nine (mentioned above) even did a Tribbles special episode too!

The delivery time scale on these DVDs and blurays is not fast – it’s one to three months on the latter item. So, you wouldn’t need to be in a rush to receive these. Don’t bank on getting them by Christmas. But they are superb prices for superb TV shows – and well worth the money, in my opinion. And they all come with free super saver shipping.

And let’s finish this deal off with a little quote from Bones:

Space is disease and danger wrapped in darkness and silence.
