64% Off Outlander Season 1 Volume 1 DVD was $38.99 is now $13.99 @ Amazon.ca

I might be having a super fan moment, but I spotted a great deal on the season 1 volume 1 DVD of the TV show Outlander and I had to share. For those of you who don’t know about the Outlander phenomenon, it is an international best-selling series written by Diana Gabaldon, which has now been adapted into a TV show. The DVD was originally $38.99 it is now $13.99, that is 64% off. While the original price is quite a bit inflated, the sale price is still a very good deal. If you are an Amazon Prime member, the shipping is free. Shipping is also free on order over $25. Otherwise, shipping is $4.98.

I think I have told everyone in my life how much I love the Outlander book series. I’m not the only one; over 25 million copies of  the books have been sold worldwide. That is quite the fan base, but the books are simply that good. As you can imagine, I was quite skeptical about this TV series coming as any die-hard fan would be. As it turns out, I love it. They have stayed true to the books as much as possible and have garnered an even bigger fan base, reaching a completely different audience.

Amazon Canada: Shameless Seasons 1-4 Only $60 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

Amazon Canada: Shameless Seasons 1 4 Only $60 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

My favourite show is on sale at Amazon! Get seasons 1 to 4 for only $59.99 today only. I don’t see the regular price for this set, but if I priced out the individual seasons (as I don’t see it for sale as a set anywhere else but Amazon), your regular price would be much higher.

When I say this is my favourite show, I mean my favourite show of all time. I’m completely up to date on all the seasons and I desperately miss the Gallaghers and all of their antics. This show is definitely dark comedy, touching on subjects like bi-polar disorder, poverty, drug use, domestic abuse and more. I’ve cried and laughed at this show more than any other show I’ve seen.

With the recent Supreme Court decision in the U.S. to allow gay marriage, I got an update from the show Shameless on my Facebook newsfeed, celebrating this decision. At that point I realized that Mickey and Ian’s relationship was one of the most emotional relationships on television.

There are some great performers on this show like William H. Macy and Joan Cusack, but some of the lesser known ones are the ones I love. Lip Gallagher, played by Jeremy Allen White is probably one of my most favourite actors.

Just writing about this show I get choked up at some of the best scenes because this show is literally raw emotion. It will play on your heart strings and you won’t be able to sleep after watching it. Basically what I am trying to say is you want to watch this show. I only wish I had watched in having the four seasons in my hands, rather than every week and then waiting months for a new season, as the waiting can be unbearable!

As I said, I could only find individual seasons, like the seasons here at Best Buy, where not one is less than $25. Your total cost for all seasons would be over $100.

Shipping is going to be free on this order, as it is over $25.

Amazon Canada: Six Feet Under: The Complete Series On DVD | Was $175 Now $59 **BUMP**

Amazon Canada: Six Feet Under: The Complete Series On DVD | Was $175 Now $59 **BUMP**

**Good morning again Moosers. We are bumping this one as it is a cult favourite and now another $6 cheaper. Don’t miss out!**

Good morning, my fellow Bargainmoosers! Today on Amazon, you can get a really sweet bargain on Six Feet Under: The Complete Series on DVD. This DVD set normally sells for $174.99, but you can now purchase this for just $64.99! What’s also great is that you’ll also qualify for free shipping! Now that’s a nice incentive! It’s also a fantastic series that I highly recommend.

This set is something that you should seriously consider purchasing. Six Feet Under: The Complete Series on DVD contains all 5 seasons of this HBO classic, and it’s one heck of a show! I didn’t know what to expect when I first checked out this series… it revolves around a family that works in a funeral home, and the struggles, triumphs, and tragedies that they encounter while trying to pick up the pieces after the patriarch of the family passes away.

This is a deep show that has some dark comedy, riveting storylines, and plenty of familiar faces (Michael C. Hall, who later played Dexter, is in this series, and that’s how I started to watch 6 Feet Under). My girlfriend and I really enjoyed watching this series, and the series finale was extremely well done (unlike the controversial ending to The Sopranos).

If you wanted to buy Six Feet Under: The Complete Series on DVD at Best Buy, it would cost you $77.99 (it’s also currently sold out). Listed below is a brief review of this set from a satisfied Amazon customer:

I laughed and cried my way through this entire series. Watching it was like falling in love. The characters were so incredibly compelling that I felt I was part of their lives. This is a unique drama. Highly recommended.

This set was previously $63 on Amazon back in June (check out Eva’s post here), but that deal didn’t last very long, so here’s a second chance to save on this series! Happy hunting, my fellow Bargainmoosers!

Farscape: The Complete Series (15th Anniversary Edition DVD) was $130 now $43 & Free Shipping @ Amazon.ca!

Posted by on June 13, 2015 at 12:44 PM

Farscape: The Complete Series (15th Anniversary Edition DVD) was $130 now $43 & Free Shipping @ Amazon.ca!

Those of you Moosers who have been reading this blog for a few years will know that I am a bit of a sci-fi nerd. There are a few series out there which are top of my favourite lists, with such obvious shows as Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica. One of the lesser known shows which is also at the top of my list is Farscape. And just now, there’s a really fantastic price on the 15th anniversary DVD boxset on Amazon.ca. It was originally priced at $129.95, but you can grab it for only $42.99 right now. That’s with Amazon’s free shipping, of course.

The Farscape series consisted of four seasons of sci-fi goodness, and that’s what you will get in the above boxset. However, if you really want to round out your collection, you’ll want to pick up the Peacekeeper Wars, which was an additional mini-movie to end off the whole show. It’s not included in the above, you’ll need it if you like Farscape!

I have all these DVDs; I think I’ve watched the whole show right through, two times. It’s really a fantastic piece of entertainment. Over on IMDB, the voters give Farscape a rating of 8.4/10, from 24k users. This an extremely high rating and just goes to show you that the show is very highly thought-of.

If you look at the image above, you can see that there are some pretty far-out looking characters in Farscape. But don’t let that put you off – the make-up and character effects are excellent, but they’re secondary to the excellent writing in the show.

Anyone buying it?

(Expires: 13th June 2015)

P.S. Prefer blu-ray? It’s only $4 more here.

Quantum Leap The Complete Series On DVD Was $180 | Now $55 & Free Shipping @ Amazon.ca (EXPIRED)

Quantum Leap The Complete Series On DVD Was $180 | Now $55 & Free Shipping @ Amazon.ca (EXPIRED)

I am so excited to see this TV series pop up as an amazing deal, and cannot wait to settle in with my own copy! Right now, you can grab Quantum Leap The Complete Series on DVD. This series was $179.99, but you can have it today only for $54.99. This item will also ship to you free with super saver shipping.

Sci-fi fans, you cannot be without this series in your collection. This compilation disc set has only been available on the market since last April, so fans can rejoice at having a set all their own without having to purchase seasons individually. This fantastic series started in 1989 and ran for five seasons. In this series, a scientist named Sam Beckett is studying the idea of time travel and string theory. In order to ensure his funding continues, he jumps into his time travel machine prematurely. My husband works in academia and I can guarantee with the current state of science funding that Sam made the right choice! Sam finds himself in someone else’s body with partial amnesia. With the help of a holographic image named Al, Sam must right the wrongs happening in the person’s life he is currently occupying. With Al’s help, he then jumps to the next body, hoping each time he will hop back home to his previous life.  If you are unfamiliar, check out the full bio at IMBD.

Walmart Canada will sell you this amazing series for $124.97. Over at Best Buy Canada, you could pick up this same DVD set for $129.99. I found this DVD set over at Renaud-Bray selling for $164.99. I checked over at Chapters Indigo also, as this seems like a series they should carry, but it is currently out of stock.

If you check out the reviews over on Amazon Canada, you will find multiple reviews from very dedicated fans. The reviews are very long and detailed, so I will cut to the chase and give you the overall synopsis I see. Most fans are in love with this series and are watching the episodes repeatedly. A few were unhappy that edits were made to a few episodes from the original airing, including music changes and a few scenes cut short thanks to reformatting done to make this into a compilation. Overall, this should not affect your enjoyment of the series though you may notice a few differences from what you saw when it originally aired. Superfans should check out the full detailed reviews at Amazon for further details.

If your favourite dad is a sci-fi fan, this cult classic would be a perfect Father’s Day gift for him. This is about my price range for Father’s Day though I may give it to my husband for his birthday instead. I am sure there is a rainy summer day coming up soon. You will be ready for an awesome TV marathon day with this collection, just add popcorn.

Amazon Canada: 75% Off The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital Copy – Now $10

Posted by on May 23, 2015 at 6:17 PM

Amazon Canada: 75% Off The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 Blu Ray + DVD + Digital Copy Now $10

Did you miss seeing the first part of The Hunger Games Mockingkay movie? Then make sure to grab it at Amazon because it’s currently 75% off and includes a copy of the movie in all of the following formats: Blu-Ray, DVD and even a digital version. Originally priced at $39.99, it’s now down to just $9.99.

Admittedly, the first part of the Mockingjay movies only got up to 6.8/10 in terms of rating on IMDB with numerous reviews stating how disappointed they were in the movie. Personally, I rather loved it and I can be pretty harsh in my reviews as well! It’s a 2-hour movie that will definitely keep you on your toes the entire time but it does definitely help to have watched the previous movies in order to understand what’s going on. It’s not necessary per se, but it does help to situate you and understand some of the jabs.

In a way I can understand the why some reviewers found this movie disappointing but in another way, it makes total sense. Having watched the previous movies and read all of the books, it makes sense that the part one of the Mockingjay series would be setting up the part that is to follow. We would need to wait and see for the second part to hit theatres but I would expect it to be very grandiose with loads of banging action scenes, given that the first part is slower and quieter.

Shipping is only free on orders over $25, so you would need to another filler item. I had a look around in the TV shows and movies currently on sale for 70% off or more and found plenty of great picks like:

If you haven’t see it yet, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is also currently on sale for just $9.99, which is 75% off its original price of $39.99. Reviews for this one are far more favourable as well with a total rating of 4.5/5 stars and 166 reviews in total.

Zumba Fitness Exhilarate Ultimate Experience DVD Set Was $130 | Now $66 & Free Shipping @ Amazon.ca

Posted by on May 6, 2015 at 7:41 AM

Zumba Fitness Exhilarate Ultimate Experience DVD Set Was $130 | Now $66 & Free Shipping @ Amazon.ca

Move and groove with the Zumba Fitness Exhilarate Ultimate Experience DVD set. This large boxed set was $129.99, but you can purchase it for only $66.04. This set also qualifies for completely free super saver shipping.

I have been curious about Zumba for a while now but never made the jump. Near my house, a Zumba fitness studio is pumping up the tunes at least five days a week. I see many tall and lean women (and a few guys also) frequenting that class. It would probably be in my best interest to join them. I think by the time I could escape my house and family regularly for the evening, all of the classes are long over.

Rather than paying for classes that I know I will end up missing half of, I could invest a little less money and pick up this fantastic looking DVD collection. This set includes seven DVDs full of workouts and music that will keep you dancing. I find I need to have a lot of variety in my workout to keep interested, and this set is packed full of options. The music and workouts vary between upbeat Latin, salsa, hip-hop and even belly dancing. Your set will also come with toning sticks, which are a nice set of light dumbbells to help you sculpt as you dance your stress away. I also like that there is an option to turn off the verbal instructions. If you get good at the steps, you can just lose yourself in the dancing.

You could pick up this Zumba set at Walmart.ca for $99.99. Canadian Tire also sells this DVD set in store for $99.99. Sears.ca carried this Zumba set for $99.99 also, but it is currently out of stock. Looks like Amazon is setting the bar for the best price on this set.

Looking at the reviews, many people are talking about this set. Over at Amazon Canada, 116 people have reviewed this set and it carries a hefty four out of five stars. After scanning the reviews, most people seem very happy with the workouts. Zumba has had a big following for a while and the reviews seem to reflect that trend. The main issue anyone notes that the packaging is a little on the flimsy side. I noticed that this particular set currently sits at a number fourteen slot in the exercise video category. In the number one exercise video slot is a similar Zumba set with less included DVDs.

Swimsuit season is coming up and I have been unmotivated to stick to my workout routine. I think this Zumba set might be just what I need to jumpstart a little fun into my workout. Grab yours set now Bargainmoosers! We have not seen much in the Zumba line go on sale in over a year according to a quick search of our site.

Amazon Canada: Get House: The Complete Series On DVD | Was $230 Now $75 *BUMP*

*We are bumping this post about Amazon’s house, which is now $5 cheaper than it was when we blogged it before and it sold out. Get it while you can Moosers!*

Good afternoon, my fellow Bargainmoosers! Today’s deal on Amazon allows you to get House: The Complete Series on DVD for $74.99 (was $229.99). You’ll also qualify for free shipping! This critically acclaimed series stars Hugh Laurie, and if you’ve never seen it before, you should at least check out an episode of it online before you decide to get this DVD box set. Personally, I loved the series – it was must-see-TV at its finest.

This DVD set is huge. It comes with all 8 seasons of House, which should definitely keep you entertained for quite a while! Whether you love or hate the brooding and sarcastic character of Dr. Gregory House, it’s a show that’s addicting to watch (especially when you have every season on DVD).

I first watched House in the late 2000’s (my mother was a big fan of the show), and from there I was hooked. I’d sit down with my mom every week and watch the latest misadventures of Dr. House, and I can honestly say that it was a lot of fun. It was also a nice break from my hectic work schedule at the time! I was freelancing and spending countless hours in my office, so watching House was a great way to break that monotony.

House: The Complete Series on DVD currently rings in at $159 at WalMart.

If you’re looking for a new TV series to check out, then you should consider getting House: The Complete Series on DVD. Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Amazon Canada: Sons of Anarchy Was $200 | Now $140 & Free Shipping

Aching for a Jax fix? With my favourite show completely over (Sons of Anarchy) and my other favourite show done for the season (Shameless), I need something to tide me over for a while. I could really get into the complete series of Sons of Anarchy and Amazon has a great deal for me. Get Sons of Anarchy: The Complete Series giftset for only $139.99, with a regular price of $199.98. Because it is over $25, free shipping comes along with it.

This giftset would also make a great Father’s Day gift for a lover of the show or for someone who has never seen the show and definitely should. I have to say, I was very disappointed in how it all ended, although I am in the minority with that statement.

I could not really find any details anywhere about what exactly this set contains. I do see that it has 23 discs on DVD with seasons 1 – 7 of the show. On top of that it looks like it has a very cool wood box to keep this collection. Then it has what looks like a replica of the gang’s table with the Sons etched design. On top of that, there is a photobook, which will help you relive your days with Sam Crow.

Reading the reviews on Amazon.com, they say that a real fan will absolutely love and need this set. There are only two reviews on Amazon.ca, but both give it a 5-star rating, citing that its a great set to have.

This is definitely the cheapest you will find set, if you even find it elsewhere. Best Buy was selling it for $184.99, but it is completely sold out. If you wanted just the discs, each season sells for about $25 – $35 a season, bringing your total to a minimum of $175, without all the extras.

Today Only! Sex And The City Complete DVD Set Was $160 | Now $90 & Free Shipping @ Amazon Canada

Posted by on April 15, 2015 at 11:09 AM

Today Only! Sex And The City Complete DVD Set Was $160 | Now $90 & Free Shipping @ Amazon Canada

Watch all of your favourite episodes of Sex and the City again with this fantastic combo pack from Amazon Canada. Right now, you can purchase the complete box set that was $159.99, for only $89.99. That saves you 58% on the list price plus qualifies for free super saver shipping.

Sex and the City is a fantastic show that focuses on love, sex and friendship. Carrie, Miranda, Samantha and Charlotte are four bachelorette friends living in New York City. The show follows all four of them through hookups, marriage and divorce as they try to navigate the complex web that is life in your twenties and thirties in a fast-paced city. Fashion forward Carrie leads the show. She weekly inspired us with her columns about sex and relationships as she tries everything she can think to balance modern love in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. Carrie constantly consults her three closest friends, who also are also running into hilarious snags with their love lives. This shows is full of laughs, memorable quotes and lots of fantastic fashion to ogle.

This is a good series to unwind with at the end of the day with a glass of wine. I was always rehashing this show with my friends the next day after a new episode when it was new show. The series has a huge following still. If you ever visit New York City, you can take tours that show you all the places the show was filmed.

This set includes all six seasons on DVD. Several reviewers are reporting that this set includes both Sex And The City movies, although I cannot find any details that specify that from Amazon and confirm that it includes the movies. The first movie was decent, but you are not missing much if you missed the second movie in my opinion. The series was where these characters shined. Ratings on this DVD set are very high with a four and a half star rating with over 60 reviews. According to Amazon Canada, this series is ranked number three in the category television comedy on DVD. There is a lot of competition in that category! A few reviewers had trouble with the packaging being tough. I would open this carefully the first time to avoid damaging the discs.

Checking around the web, this set is starting to get harder to find than it was a few years back. Costco Canada is the closest to Amazon Canada’s deal, selling this Sex and the City box set for $89.99. This set sells @ Chapters for $159.99. A similar set was available @ Best Buy Canada for $149.99 but is now out of stock.

Grab this set now, this is a special one day deal. I am going to grab a copy for myself, and plan a night for my friends when it arrives to watch the first episode.

Amazon Canada: 73% Off Game of Thrones Season 1 DVD – Now $20.49

Posted by on April 8, 2015 at 8:37 AM

Amazon Canada: 73% Off Game of Thrones Season 1 DVD Now $20.49

Ahhh, I can hardly contain my excitement! The Game of Thrones season 1 DVD is 73% off at Amazon right now and can be yours for just $20.49!

I just finished watching season 4 and boy oh boy, if you haven’t watched Game of Thrones yet, then this is a fabulous opportunity. I was a little iffy about giving this TV show a try because I seem to remember watching a scene that looked to have been very poorly made but after marathoning through all four season, I can safely say that this definitely isn’t the case.

All of the Game of Thrones seasons are very well made and the great part about this TV series is that it will have you at the edge of your seat the entire time. So many times, my hubby and I simply sat in shock as events in the series unfolded that we never thought would ever happen because things like that just don’t happen on TV!

But of course, George R. R. Martin, the author of this crazy book series, is widely renown for his plot twists and turns, though that’s what makes watching them even funner. An article I read once concerning one of the most shocking scenes in the series (in season 2, mind you), pointed out that watchers of the series are much more vulnerable than book readers because of the immense foreshadowing in the books. In the series, there is hardly any foreshadowing. One second, you’re cheering for the characters and the scenes and the next, you’re in complete shock and wondering what the heck just happened.

What’s cool about the DVD is that it also comes with bonus footage like:

  • The making of Game of Thrones
  • An explanation behind the creation of the Dothraki language
  • Insight into The Night’s Watch
  • Audio commentary from the cast & crew
  • 15 character profiles

Shipping is only free on orders over $25, so you would need to add a filler item. You can get the other seasons on DVD for:

Get it quick though because the fifth season of Game of Thrones is airing April 13th!

Breaking Bad: The Complete Series Was $161 | Now $70 & Free Shipping @ Amazon Canada

Posted by on April 6, 2015 at 8:49 AM

Breaking Bad: The Complete Series Was $161 | Now $70 & Free Shipping @ Amazon Canada

If you are a fan of Breaking Bad, need to get your fix and Better Call Saul just isn’t getting you that high, you could get this hot deal from Amazon today. Get the complete series of Breaking Bad today for only $69.99, with a regular price of $160.99. Because the set is over $25, it will also ship for free.

This is the DVD set and has about 3000 minutes of terrifying goodness. If you were sick or had to stay up for over two straight days, you could watch this entire set in those 50 hours.

If you haven’t seen Breaking Bad, you really are missing out on one of television’s greatest series. The show has its emotional moments and also its gruesome. There were times I had to look away and many times I could not look away. The adventures of Walter White and his gang make for some amazing TV!

Just to show you that this is the best price around, check it out at Walmart, where it sells for $107.97, although it does have a bonus bottle opener. I don’t think I’d pay $37 for a bottle opener. I didn’t see this set anywhere else on DVD, but know that the blu-ray set is about 2.5 times the price of this set at Amazon.

If you are more of a collector, Amazon also has a sweet deal at 63% off today on the Breaking Bad: The Complete Series Limited Edition 2014 Barrel. It regularly sells for $299.99 and is now on sale for $109.99. It has been on sale before, but not for this low of a price. Walmart sells it for $210.97. Otherwise, I didn’t see this set elsewhere either.

I’d love to pick up this set just to watch the two-hour documentary that is included.

You can take a read of the reviews yourself, but as you’ll see, the general consensus is that everyone loves Breaking Bad and loves the collector’s set as well.

This might make a fantastic Father’s Day gift!

The Office: Complete Series On DVD Was $230 Now $63.49 @ Amazon Canada! (EXPIRED)

*** BUMP – there’s been a further price drop on this item at Amazon. When we first published this post, it was $89.99. It’s now dropped to $63.49! ***

That’s what she said. Today’s deal at Amazon is for the complete series of The Office on DVD – normally selling for $229.99, you can now purchase this set for $89.99 only $63.49. You’ll also get free shipping with your order!

The Office: The Complete Series on DVD is currently on sale for $172.99 at Best Buy and Future Shop. It’s also $165 @ Walmart.ca.

Oh, how I loved The Office – its dry humour that gave us a glimpse into a, often-mismanaged Scranton, Pennsylvania paper company known as Dunder Mifflin was a ground-breaking show for its time. It intrigued me when I first watched it back in the mid-2000s, since I didn’t hear the obligatory laugh-track in between every joke on the show.

Remember when TV shows had to remind us when we were supposed to laugh? After watching The Office, it kind of ruined many shows with laugh-tracks for me (at least the newer ones – I will always love Seinfeld and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air).

Either way, I really enjoyed watching The Office. It was a thoroughly enjoyable series with memorable characters such as Dwight, Andy, and of course, Michael Scott (played by Steve Carrell). One of my favourite lines in the series is when Michael Scott (the manager of the Dunder Mifflin office in Scranton, PA) is trying to motivate his employees, and has the following inspirational line written down on chart paper: You miss 100% of the shots that you don’t take. -Wayne Gretzky -Michael Scott.

The last few seasons aren’t as creative or hilarious as the earlier seasons, but they’re still fun to watch. Mindy Kaling of The Mindy Project also rose to prominence during her time on The Office.

Get this great DVD set before it’s sold out! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

VHS to DVD Conversion Kit Was $70 Now Only $14 & Free Shipping @ nCrowd.ca!

Posted by on March 14, 2015 at 10:02 AM

VHS to DVD Conversion Kit Was $70 Now Only $14 & Free Shipping @ nCrowd.ca!

Do you have any old home movies on VHS gathering dust in a cupboard somewhere? I think this could be the case for quite a few Moosers, if you’re anything like me. If so, you might have considered getting those VHS movies converted to DVD or digital files, so that you can watch them now and in the future. I’ve found a deal that will help you on that quest – it’s an offer on a VHS to DVD conversion kit. Usually this type of kit is around $70 to buy, but you can actually get this one for only $14 with free shipping @ nCrowd.ca!

When you click through on the above link, you will see that the price on the VHS to DVD kit is currently $19. However, there are a number of nCrowd coupon codes here which you might want to use with this order, the best of which is free5 for a $5 discount. This brings the final price down to only $14 with free shipping which is a really nice deal.

Before I started this post, I actually saw that this was a popular offer here on Tuango, where the kit was going for $22 PLUS shipping. However, when I started price comparing and discovered the above offer from nCrowd was even cheaper… and then found the additional $5 coupon code, I thought that I really must share this with you guys!

In the nCrowd deal, you get the following items:

  • Video adapter
  • CD-ROM & software
  • USB cable
  • User manual

From the looks of it, you will need to have an old-style VCR on which to actually play the tapes, during the conversion process. If you only have the tapes and not the actual VCR, then you’d need to maybe find out if any friends or family have a VCR which you could use this with.

For me, I’ve got a VHS tape here which is around 30 years old. It contains some old, grainy footage of me when I was around 4 years old, and my little sister, playing in our yard. It’s the only tape I have of myself when I was young. I haven’t watched it in a few years because we don’t actually have a VCR any more! I really, really must get it converted to have it for the future. Do you have any tapes you need to convert?

Boy Meets World Series Collection On DVD Was $100 | Now $27.49 & Free Shipping @ Amazon.ca (Expired)

Check out the complete series of Boy Meets World on DVD. You get all seven seasons of this hilarious and cheesy show. This series was $100 but is now only $27.49. It qualifies for Amazon’s free shipping with a minimum purchase of $25.

Amazon is stocking us up with some of my favourite sitcom shows from the 90s this week. Yesterday Margarita blogged about Sabrina The Teenage Witch being on sale. It was not long ago that Anna posted about Saved By The Bell being on sale. It is time to dig out a flannel shirt and some Doc Martens for a 90s series marathon. I think we only need a good quality does of Sister Sister and Home Improvement to complete a 90s sitcom marathon.

I really loved this series. It was another one of those guilty pleasure shows, and I would watch the syndicated reruns repeatedly. I wanted to be Topanga once she grew out of the earth mother stage and became a little cooler. I cheered on Cory and Sean as they goofed around and learned a lesson or three in Mr. Feeny’s classroom. I loved the cheesy jokes, the love story between Topanga and Cory and the rebellious friend Sean with just a little bit of an edge. Boy Meets World Is a classic nineties sitcom with the right balance of cheese, lessons to be learned and loveable characters. The seven seasons of this show takes us from middle school all the way through college with our favourite characters as we cheer them on to make good choices and navigate growing up.

Did you wonder what happened to these characters after college? Disney recently created a spinoff series, Girl Meets World. Once you have finished all of the classic episodes in this box, the new series is worth checking out. Cory and Topanga are married now with a quirky daughter and an edgy friend. Girl Meets World does hold true to the essence of the original show. The new show has plenty of cameos and nods to the original series. Check out a little more about the buzz surrounding both the old and the new shows in this article from Entertainment Weekly. You can re-watch the original series with your partner or kids, and then have a few extra laughs at the new series.

Walmart has this series for the low price of $70. This series is also on sale right now at Chapters for $70. You could buy seasons one through five only at Staples for $17.81 a piece, but you would still be missing two seasons and would pay $89.50. I noticed Best Buy and Future Shop both retailed the complete series at around $75 but, neither had it in stock.

You do not have to take my word for it. There is plenty of love for this series on Amazon.

It definitely brought back my childhood. I used to love this show and when I saw that amazon had it on sale I knew that I had to buy it. And still to this day, this show does not disappoint!

Grab it at Amazon while it is a steal. My husband was even eying this deal over my shoulder as I typed this out. I do not think the stock will last long.

To get you ready, here is a great funny clip from the show.

Bargainmoosers, what is your favourite nineties sitcom?
