Get 8″x10″ prints for just 97¢ each this week at Photolab Canada. Print out and frame wedding photos, graduation photos, and family photos that really should be on your wall instead of on your computer. A minimum of 10 prints per order is required to get this deal.
I did a little price comparing to see what 8×10″ photos go for at most places. Here is a small price comparison list for you to get an idea as to how much you are saving:
- Photolab: $2.99 each
- Henry’s: $4.99 each
- Snapfish: $2.79 each
- Walmart Photo: $4.97 each
While you must buy 10 prints to take advantage of the 97¢ print deal, you are saving a bundle on these prints. Even compared to the cheapest alternative option, you are at about 1/3rd the price of a regular print. To put it another way, you will get 10 prints for the price of just over three at regular price.
What the bullet list above fails to mention is shipping costs. While Snapfish Canada is usually the cheapest for 8×10″ prints, the shipping costs really offset that extra 20 cents you save per print. That is one of the reasons I just adore these Photolab deals, you can have the prints shipped to your local Loblaw, Fortinos, Superstore, Zehrs, etc. for free. Sure, you could pay for shipping, but that is an unnecessary expense when most cuties and medium sized towns have one of these grocery stores around.
I am tempted to have a couple more of my wedding photos made into 8×10″ photos. We only had one photo made into an 8×10”, gave them to relatives, and kept one for ourselves. I would not mind printing out a few more of those photos and making a collage of 8×10″ pictures on a wall.
I know my cousins always used to get a family photo taken every few years and then send it to my grandmother in the 8″ by 10″ format. My grandmother, who lived five hours away from my cousins, always appreciated the gesture. She has now passed on, but I will forever remember her shelf of family photos. While digital seems to be the way of the future, there is still room for printed photos on our lives and in the lives of those we love.
