Samsung Wi-Fi 16.2MP Camera $79.99 @ Future Shop (Save $70) (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 12, 2014 at 3:08 PM

Samsung Wi Fi 16.2MP Camera $79.99 @ Future Shop (Save $70) (EXPIRED)

As part of Future Shop’s 12 days of deals they are featuring a Samsung EC-WB35FZBPBCA Wi-Fi 16.2MP 12x Optical Zoom Digital Camera for just $79.99 with free shipping. You save $70 and score a good camera for a great price.

I expected Best Buy to price match Future Shop as they are sister stores. However, that is just not happening on this deal. Check out the price comparisons below.

  • $99.99 @ Best Buy Canada
  • $149.99 @ Henry’s Canada
  • $157.63 @ Amazon Canada (secondary seller)
  • $95.97 US @ Amazon.com

The price at Future Shop even beats the price of the US giant Amazon.com if we lived in the USA and could get it shipped free from them. This is the best deal for this camera that I have found on the net. The camera features:

  • 16.2-Megapixel CCD Sensor
  • 2.7-Inch Display
  • 12x Zoom
  • Wi-Fi Connectivity
  • 720p HD-quality MPEG video
  • Live Panorama mode

This camera really packs many features into its small body. I love the HD video feature. Though I do not record many videos, there are some times when on vacation that only a video would really capture the moment. I regret not using that feature more on my camera. The large display helps you get a sense of what your picture will look like printed out. I find a large display very important for taking good quality pictures the first time. The 16.2 MP and 12x zoom are going to be amazing and really will show you why having a camera in addition to your phone is worthwhile.

Amazon.com is a great place to look at reviews like this one:

Really like the camera, fits in your pocket and give excellent pictures. Used on trip to San Juan and loved it, I took my larger camera but found I was using the Samsung more because I could send pictures to my phone and text to friends. Really nice purchase.

That is another feature I would die to have on my DSLR – Wi-fi. It drives me insane that I cannot just send images once I take them. Instead, I have to pop out the SD card, load them onto my computer, and then upload them to an email or Facebook. This camera looks awesome.

Henry’s Canada: Panasonic Lumix FZ200 Was $530 | Now $400 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

Henrys Canada: Panasonic Lumix FZ200 Was $530 | Now $400 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

There are quite a few stores out there having days of deals sales in anticipation of the Christmas rush. Henry’s is one of those stores and today’s deal is sweet! Get $153.02 off the Panasonic FZ200 12MP camera with a 16 GB card. Originally $553.01, and now $399.99, you’ll also get free shipping.

If you’ve got someone’s wish list and on it is a new camera, this is an inexpensive way to fulfill that wish. My son wants a camera, although I think he is just a tad too young for it. I think he would treat it nicely, but I worry about his brothers fooling around with it if he doesn’t put it away. I may reconsider later today and hope the deal is still on, as this is the right price point that I’d like to spend on his gift.

I can let you know all the nitty gritty about this camera, which includes 12.1MP, 12GB SDHC card, 24x optical zoom, 12fps burst rate, full 1080/60p HD video and F2.8 aperture across entire zoom range.

If none of that really means anything to you, you can check out some of the reviews, I found on Amazon:

This camera is just as advertised ! Takes fantastic photos with virtually no lag time. My husband loves his Xmas gift!

This model has a nice long lens and is relatively light.

Of course I also shopped around, to ensure that this is the best deal out there and found that it was. Amazon sells this camera for $523; Vistek sells it for $529 and London Drugs sells it for $529.

I bought my newest camera from Henry’s and found the customer service to be great. I actually have to take mine back in as it is having a few issues, but that could be user error. I’m hoping the Henry’s associates will help me out.

I wouldn’t wait too long, as there are limited amounts of this camera available.

Canon Canada: EOS Rebel T3 with Lens & Kit Only $299 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

Posted by on November 24, 2014 at 6:30 PM

Canon Canada: EOS Rebel T3 with Lens & Kit Only $299 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

Canon Canada has discounted the EOS Rebel T3 DSLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm DC III lens to $299 with free shipping just because of box damage. This camera retails upwards of $379 at other retailers.

This camera has been down to this price before, but that was way back in March as you can see from Eva’s post. Like last time, quantities are limited. This camera comes with a kit so you are not left out in the cold with your camera body and lens. You will also receive a battery, battery charger, eyecup, wide strap, and interface cable.

I price compared this camera with Canadian competitors. Here is what the camera would cost you if you bought it at any of these fine retailers:

  • $379.98 @ Walmart Canada
  • $449 @ Newegg Canada
  • $446 @ Amazon Canada
  • $399.99 @ Dell Canada

As you can see, you are saving at least $80 off Walmart’s price and maybe even more. It is not clear if Walmart’s camera comes with the kit so you are potentially getting a better deal at Canon. Either way, this is a very nice sale. Even though the box is damaged, the camera itself is in new condition and still comes with the full manufacturer’s warranty.

If you pick up some accessories to go with your camera, then you can use coupon code CANON15ACC to receive 15% off the accessories. You might want to buy a case for your new DSLR as it can be somewhat awkward just carrying it around your neck all the time. In addition, you do not want to scratch up the lens or accidentally drop your camera. You may also want an extra battery for longer journeys where you might not have access to power. We had an extra battery for our previous DSLR and it was a welcome addition to our trip to Iceland. Twelve-hour day trips did not afford time to recharge a battery.

While everyone has a camera in their phone these days, I truly believe in getting a good quality camera for those special moments. A DSLR can capture detail, clarity, and colour that your phone camera cannot. A DSLR camera is also amazing for action shots where other cameras will leave you with blurry images.

The Source Canada: Liquid Image HD320 Scuba Series Underwater Digital Camera Mask (Refurbished) | Was $250 Now $70

The Source Canada: Liquid Image HD320 Scuba Series Underwater Digital Camera Mask (Refurbished) | Was $250 Now $70

Oh hey there, deal hunters! The Source currently has an intriguing deal on a very interesting item today. It’s for a refurbished Liquid Image HD320 Scuba Series Underwater Digital Camera Mask, which you can now buy for just $69.99! This is one super sweet deal, since this product typically retails for $249.95 US at Point Of View Cameras, and a used pair is currently selling for $199 on Amazon! You’ll also get free shipping with your order – very nice!

This Liquid Image HD320 Scuba Series Underwater Digital Camera Mask has some really cool features! While you’re underwater with this specialized digital camera mask, you can enjoy up to a 1280 x 720 video resolution, and get up to 30fps with the integrated HD-SHQ video mode. It has a 2G2P fixed camera lens with shutter speeds of 1/4 to 1/1000 seconds, and also has a 35m (115 feet) depth rating. Best of all, you can store up to 36,800 pictures or 960 minutes of video.

This is the ultimate item to bring with you on your vacation – especially if you plan to swim near some coral reefs! Since you literally don’t have to hold anything, you can conveniently get some intimate photos and videos of your underwater journeys without any issues – I know the feeling, since I’ve used disposable underwater cameras before. While they’re still really cool devices, I found it awkward to hold on to the camera safely while I tried to swim. This Liquid Image HD320 Scuba Series Underwater Digital Camera Mask makes it easy for you to do, which is always nice!

I’ve included a brief review of this Liquid Image HD320 Scuba Series Underwater Digital Camera Mask from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

This mask was easy to operate and performed perfectly. Not only were the pictures and video extremely sharp, but in the video mode it records audio as well.

Like most clearance deals at The Source, this likely won’t be around for very long, so get it now! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

The Source Canada: Open-Box Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16 MP Camera | Was $200 Now $80

Posted by on October 19, 2014 at 6:00 PM

The Source Canada: Open Box Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16 MP Camera | Was $200 Now $80

Good evening, my fellow deal hunters! The Source currently slashed the price on their open-box Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera – normally selling for $199.99, you can now purchase this easy-to-use digital camera for $79.96! Your order will also qualify for free shipping! That’s always a nice bonus, right?

This Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera is loaded with great features – it has a 16mp 1/2.3-inch ccd sensor with a primary colour filter, it can film 720p hd videos, has an hdmi (mini) port, accepts sd/sdhc cards, and has a 30x wide angle optical zoom. This is a great camera for this price!

I’m not entirely satisfied with the camera on my cell phone, so I think it’s important to still have a decent digital camera that you can use during special events. When you’re going to be at a memorable get together with friends or your family, a sports event, or a wedding, you’ll want to use a camera that you can rely on. Plus, you’ll want to be able to take high-quality pictures, and you can certainly do that with this Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera.

On Amazon, this Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera costs $169.99. If you were to purchase this camera from WalMart’s American website, it would cost you $199 US. I’ve listed an informative review of this camera from a customer of The Source below:

A little below in features of the newest cameras. Such as video quality at 720 not 1080. Zoom is not as powerful as newer models.
But it is below half the price of the current models out there and takes excellent quality pictures.

If you want to save some cash on a convenient 16MP camera that can also take videos, then you should definitely check out this deal before it’s gone. Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

The Source Canada: Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera (Open Box) | Was $200 Now $100 (EXPIRED)

Good morning, Bargainmoosers! This is a notable deal for a nice high quality camera at The Source. For a limited time, you can get a Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera (open box item) for $99.96. The regular price of this Fujifilm camera is $199.99. Plus, you’ll also qualify for free shipping!

Some of the features of this Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera include a 16mp 1/2.3-Inch ccd sensor, 30x wide angle optical zoom, a 3.0 inch lcd screen, and a 720p HDMI (mini) port so you can check out your videos and photos on the big screen!

Even though many of us already have decent cameras built into our cell phones nowadays, that doesn’t mean that it should be the only camera that we own. On special occasions like weddings, special birthday parties and memorable nights out on the town, would you prefer to take pictures that were 5 MP in quality, or 16 MP in quality like this Fujifilm camera has?

Plus, once you see how versatile this camera is, you’ll never go back to using your cell phone camera (unless you see something hilarious while you’re on your way home from work). Fujifilm has been a reputable name in the camera industry for many years, so this isn’t just some cheap digital camera that you’d order from China on Ebay – it’s a high quality camera that you can get for a more affordable price!

On Amazon, this Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera costs $169.99, and it’s $199 US at WalMart (they are no longer in stock). I’ve included a snippet of a review from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

This camera was attractively priced for the large number of features it contains. It will take me a while to use them all! I’ve done a bit of experimenting in the short time I’ve had it, and it takes nice snapshots and is as easy to use and to learn as any comparable camera. I look forward to using and enjoying this camera for a very long time to come.

Like many deals for open box items at The Source, this likely won’t remain in stock for very long. The price will also be going up before midnight tonight, so now’s your chance to nab it for $100! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

The Source Canada: Canon PowerShot ELPH 130 IS Now $99.96

Posted by on September 17, 2014 at 7:30 PM

The Source Canada: Canon PowerShot ELPH 130 IS Now $99.96

The Source Canada has a good deal on the Canon PowerShot ELPH 130 IS Camera. Originally $209.99, the camera is now on clearance for $99.96.

This camera is just on clearance, and does not appear to be an open box or refurbished model. I did some price comparing to ensure you are getting the best deal. I found the camera, in various colours, for the following prices. The same model is $136.26 @ Amazon.ca, $119.97 at Future Shop (sold out), $149.95 @ Newegg and $151.13 at Hookbag. The Source Canada’s price is the best out there currently.

The camera features:

  • 16.0 MP
  • 8x Optical Zoom(4x digital zoom as well)
  • 28mm Wide-Angle Lens
  • 720p HD Video Recording

It also has a 3.0″ screen to help you see your photos better and help you take better photos. The built in Wi-fi allows you to transfer wirelessly the photos from your phone to your computer. The camera also comes with a rechargeable battery, a recharger, and it appears to come with a case as well if the photos are any indication (as the text does not mention it).

This is a good camera for an affordable price. 16MP will give you good quality images and the 8x optical zoom will bring you in close enough to capture them. The 720DH video recording and the Wi-fi are bonus selling points in my book. I am not much for taking videos, but they often capture a mood or even far better than photos can. I certainly like having that built into my camera. It is also very convenient not to have to connect your camera to your computer each time you want to share pictures. I would love that feature on my camera.

Here is one review of the camera of off Amazon:

Great camera. I love it. The pictures are incredible and clear resolution at 16MP. I also have a Canon T3i and travel alot. But during travels, the size of the Canon T3i makes it very impractical and heavy. So the ELPH 130 is my travel camera. It goes on my hip and takes great pictures. I especially love the CMOS capability, which makes it a very nice camera for close quarters and limited lighting. I strongly recommend this camera to anyone looking to buy a camera that takes professional quality pictures at a fraction of the cost of a large professional camera.

There are tons of reviews of this camera on Amazon Canada, I suggest reading a few to get a good idea of what it does and it does not do. This camera is on sale in grey.

Receive free shipping on orders of $30 or more.

The Source Canada Overstock Sale: $140 Off Nikon CoolPix S9400 Camera – Now $140

Posted by on September 16, 2014 at 10:30 PM

The Source Canada Overstock Sale: $140 Off Nikon CoolPix S9400 Camera Now $140

The Source’s Overstock Sale is now on with up to 60% off plenty of electronics and among these, I found the Nikon CoolPix S9400 camera on sale for just $140.03, down from an original price of $299.99 (53% off).

The CoolPix S9400 digital camera features the following specs:

  • 18.1 MP
  • 4x digital/ 18x optical zoom range
  • CMOS sensor
  • 3.0″ LCD screen
  • 65MB built-in memory
  • Li-ion battery good for about 230 still shots

Reviews are mixed on this camera but if you’re not a photography pro and are looking for a relatively simple and straightforward digital camera to use, then this nifty camera may just be the one for you. On The Source’s page, there are only six reviews with a total of 3.2 stars out of 5, which definitely doesn’t paint the most accurate picture with regards to this camera’s performance because they’re very varied all the way from this 5 stars out of 5 review:

18.1 megapixels, fantastic zoom, and a great price. Small and compact. What more could you ask for?

All the way to this 1 star review:

Received the camera yesterday: can’t charge the battery. And according to the service rep, buying and external charger and/or a new battery might do the trick. I would think Nikon could sell cameras that work out of the box. Very disappointed . Won’t buy a Nikon product any time soon.

But to be fair, that latter review seems like a fluke and one that can happen with any gadget, even the upcoming iPhone 6! The Source Canada Overstock Sale: $140 Off Nikon CoolPix S9400 Camera Now $140

If you want to skip paying the $4.99 flat shipping rate, then you can ship this camera or any other order straight to your nearest The Source store instead. The way I see it though is that compared to the cost of gas that it might take you or even the bus fare (+ your time), it might just be easier to have it shipped straight to your door. Not to mention the fact that I had an order shipped to my nearest The Source store last Christmas and it took some time for it to arrive, or for them to even call me even though the majority of my order had been sitting at their store for a couple of days already when I checked in. I’m sure it’s different for every store but that’s just my experience.

This camera is one of many other overstock deals and they are all definitely worth a look but keep in mind that some have been reduced due to damage to the box. In these cases, you can rest assured that the products are sure to have been inspected and they will more than likely be completely fine! Other awesome discounts include but are not limited to:

The Source Canada: Canon Vixia HF R400 Camcorder Bundle | Was $330 Now $200 (Expired)

Posted by on September 14, 2014 at 12:23 AM

The Source Canada: Canon Vixia HF R400 Camcorder Bundle | Was $330 Now $200 (Expired)

There are many occasions during your life where you’ll want to use a video camera. Sure, you can use your smartphone’s video camera, but chances are that the video and audio quality just wouldn’t be good enough for certain events, such as weddings, celebrations, and other significant moments that you want to capture on video. Thankfully, The Source has a great deal on the Canon Vixia HF R400 – an HD video camera that’s high in quality and low in cost! For a limited time, you can get this high definition video camera for just $199.96 – the regular price for this bundle is $329.99! Plus, this item also qualifies for free shipping – whoohoo!

The Canon Vixia HF R400 camcorder bundle comes with a 4GB SD card, an HDMI cable, and a Canon camera bag. This high definition video camera has a 32x optical zoom, 1060x digital zoom, and a 53x advanced zoom.

I still have an older Canon camcorder that I purchased 7 years ago, and it still works great! However, unlike the Canon Vixia HF R400, my older camcorder uses MiniDV tapes, which makes the transfer of videos to my computer an exceptionally lengthy process.

The Canon Vixia HF R400 makes it easier to transfer your videos to your computer, since the videos are stored on an SD card instead of a MiniDV tape (like older camcorders). I would have loved to use a digital camcorder like this when I used to make movies with my friends, since it would have made the process so much easier for me (especially when I had to edit the videos on my computer).

The Canon Vixia HF R400 retails for $288 at WalMart, and it’s $379.99 on Amazon. I’ve included a snippet of a review of this camcorder from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

The video quality on this model is excellent. The performance in low light is slightly grainy but very good and better than usual for a camera in this price range with a small sensor, and as good as some far more expensive ones I’ve used. The audio quality from the built in mic is very good.

If you need an affordable camcorder, you can’t go wrong with this Canon Vixia HF R400 bundle. Get it while it’s still available, Bargainmoosers! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!

The Source: Canon Powershot D20 Waterproof Digital Camera | Was $380 Now $200 (Expired)

Posted by on September 12, 2014 at 10:00 AM

The Source: Canon Powershot D20 Waterproof Digital Camera | Was $380 Now $200 (Expired)

If you’re seeking an affordable waterproof digital camera that’s been manufactured by a trusted and respected brand, this is it. For a limited time, you can save big by getting a Canon Powershot D20 12.1 MP waterproof digital camera for $199.96 at The Source – the regular price for this particular model was $379.99, so that’s $180.03 that you’ll save! This also qualifies for free shipping, so that’s not too shabby!

This camera has it all – it has a GPS tracker built in to it, is temperature resistant (from 14°F to 104°F), shockproof (up to 5 feet), and waterproof (up to 33 feet). You can also record HD 1080p videos with this Canon Powershot D20 waterproof digital camera, making it a very versatile device.

Speaking from personal experience, if you plan to visit a location that’s hot, I’d recommend bringing a waterproof digital camera. Even if you plan to be extra careful with your camera while you’re lounging at a beach, you never know what could happen. A friend of mine brought their camera near the water to take a picture of my friends and I, when she accidentally fumbled the device and it landed in some water. Even though it just touched a bit of water, the camera would no longer turn on. There were no more pictures taken during that trip!

This camera can withstand up to 33 feet of water – that’s a nominal amount of water! Plus, the reputable Canon name has been associated with cameras for decades, so it’s not like this is some no name digital camera that you can get for a cheap price on eBay.

Currently, the Canon Powershot D20 costs $318 at WalMart, and $279.99 on Amazon. I’ve included a brief review of this waterproof digital camera from a satisfied WalMart customer below:

This camera has done great. We have used it 20 + times under water fresh and salt water and even more than that on land. The pictures are remarkably clear. We loved having this with us while gone to Panama on our family trip.

Take advantage of this deal while these cameras are still in stock! Happy Friday, Bargainmoosers!

The iAuto function automatically adjusts settings on the camera based on shot conditions and there is a sensor for low-light conditions as well.

The Sony camera features a 10x zoom and 18MP quality photos. High quality video is also possible with the Sony camera, as it will shoot 1080/30p HD video with low grain.

This Sony Attachable Camera is, frankly, the camera of the future. With everyone using their smart phone for taking pictures these days, actual cameras are becoming outdated. Even DSLR cameras are being left at home in favour of the convenience of something that fits in your pocket. The Sony attachable camera fits in your pocket (as long as you are not wearing skinny jeans). It is easy to carry and just throw in your bag. It pairs wirelessly with your smart phone and can turn a mediocre photo into an amazing photo in seconds. I went into a Sony Store and saw this attachable camera demoed on my own smart phone: I wanted one right then and there. My husband had to drag me out of the store so I did not buy one that second all the while reminding me I already own a DSLR. I might just sell my big DSLR camera and buy this Sony smartphone attachable camera instead.

Sony Canada offers free shipping on all orders.

DOD RX7W+ Car Rearview Mirror Camera Only $179.99 & Free Shipping @ NCIX Canada

Does putting your car into reverse send you into a full-blown, sweat-covered panic?  Never fear putting it in R again with this deal from NCIX Canada.  The regular price of the DOD RX7W+ Car Rearview Mirror was $219.99, but right now you can get it for only $179.99 as well as get free shipping right to your door!

I recently bought a truck: a huge truck.  This thing is a monster. On top of that, my boyfriend wanted to add a trailer hitch.  I am an absolute parking disaster in this thing, to the point that I generally park as far away from my destination as possible to avoid having to wedge my truck between any other vehicles.  There are, however, those rare occasions where I can’t find an isolated spot and may have to *gasp* put the truck into reverse to get out.  What’s a girl to do?  The truck bed is about a mile long and being up so high I’m just never entirely sure there isn’t a brood of little ducklings crossing behind me.  For the safety of everyone out there, I really need to get one of these rearview mirror cameras.

Now, most rearview DVRs include a dash camera which may be enticing to anyone interested in forcibly entering your vehicle, and I for one am always forgetting to put stuff like that away. This particular model, however, is actually disguised as a rearview mirror and attaches to your existing mirror with Velcro very easily, and is compatible with most vehicles on the market.  It has a Wide Dynamic Range lens and wide angle superior low light performance, helping you back out of the most troublesome locations.

Price comparison

I did a little snooping and found this same rearview mirror camera at CanadaComputers.com for $189.99 (plus shipping) and at Henrys.com for $219.99.

Shipping on this item is completely free!

Newegg Canada: FujiFilm Finepix XP200 Camera only $239.99!

Newegg Canada: FujiFilm Finepix XP200 Camera only $239.99!

Be ready to capture all your fun family summer memories with the FujiFilm Finepix XP 200 Camera from Newegg.ca for only $239.99 (regularly 299.99)!

I’ll be the first to admit that sales named after sales that take place during other times of the year kind of tick me off.  Christmas in July and boxing week in July honestly just make me shake my head.  So Newegg’s Mid-Year Black Friday Event had me rolling my eyes a little bit.  Are we really that lost for creativity that we have to name an event in July after one in November?  How about hot summer sale?  Ok, rant over.  After I got past the annoying sale name, I was looking through the deals that are mostly on a whole bunch of gizmos and gadgets that I don’t understand and am not sure what I would do with.  But I did stumble on the great deal above for a FujiFilm Finepix XP200 camera, on sale for $239.99 (regularly $299.99).  Compared to what I found at The Source ($269.96 on sale) and from a secondary seller on Amazon.ca ($274.01), this is a nice price on a nice camera.

This camera is essentially everything-proof.  It has four way protection, making it waterproof to 50 feet, shockproof to 6.6 feet, freezeproof to 14 degrees F (minus 10 degrees C) and dustproof.  The pool, splash pad, beach, and pretty much anywhere else I could think of taking this camera have nothing on that four way protection!  I think this camera would be pretty perfect for beach vacations where being dropped, getting wet, and sand are major factors.

The camera features a 16.4 megapixel ½.3” CMOS, a 5X optical zoom lens, and full HD 1080P video recording capability.  There is a 3.0” LCD monitor that is treated with an anti-reflective coating which helps to see the screen even in bright sunlight.  The Fujifilm Finepix XP200 also offers wireless image transfer allowing you to transfer up to 30 photos at a time to smartphones.  You are also able to access your camera remotely from your smartphone or tablet.

The Fujifilm Finepix XP200 is available in both blue and yellow.  I really like the yellow one as I feel like I might have a better chance of finding it when I put it down in a “safe place” that I forget about almost immediately.

Shipping depends where you live, but for me it was around $7.
