Dealextreme Canada: $4.81 For a Temperature Changing LED Faucet Head

Dealextreme Canada: $4.81 For a Temperature Changing LED Faucet Head

Deal Extreme Canada has a Temperature Changing LED Faucet Head for $4.81 including shipping.  This typically takes 7 – 10 business days and order is automatically shipped to your destination of choice.  This cannot be combined with other offers or promotions.

This is probably one of the coolest items I’ve seen recently.  The colour automatically changes when the water temperature changes.  It’s powered by the pressure of the water so no batteries are needed.  Now you can tell if the water is too hot or cold without the risk of burning your hands.  That’s great for kids since they can learn what the different colours mean.

When the water temperature is less than 32 centigrade, it turns blue, if it’s between 33 and 41 centigrade, it turns green and when the temperature is between 42 and 46 centigrade, it turns red indicating hot.  It’s almost like a built in stop light for your faucet.

The package includes 1 LED faucet light and 2 adapters and it’s easy to use, just connect to the faucet and the LED light sensor along with the adapter will begin working.

Shipping: Included, ships from China, taxes and duty charges are unlikely

(Expiry: Limited time only)

Joysticks For Gaming On Your Phones / Tablets: $3.70 @ DealExtreme!

Joysticks For Gaming On Your Phones / Tablets: $3.70 @ DealExtreme!

This deal is for those of you with tablets or smart phones, and are also partial to a little bit of gaming, particularly first person shooters and the like. You can get these game controllers which stick to your device, giving you better control over the action in your games. They joysticks are only $3.70 each, that’s with free Canadian shipping too.

The price shown is for one single controller. If you want dual joysticks for your device (like the larger iPad), then just buy 2 controllers for $3.70 each.

Here’s a video on Youtube showing you similar controllers in action on the iPad, they’re the branded controllers known as the Fling Joystick. The video shows you how good they can be.  I’ve played a few games on the iPad with which I think these controllers would work really well, such as Infinity Blade and Rage.  I reckon the controllers would be good for driving games too, though I’m not as partial to those.

I’ve posted about Deal Extreme on here a few times. They’re a Hong Kong based company that ship worldwide for free. They’ve got excellent deals on little gadgets like this, but be prepared for slow shipping, that’s the only drawback.

AC to USB Power Adapter Charger Deals

AC to USB Power Adapter Charger Deals

I had a conversation a while ago with a Mooser about the ‘problem’ with the Kobo eReader being it has to charge via laptop. She at the time saw it as a problem, I saw it as a simple solution: a AC to USB (or USB to AC) Power Adapter Charger. They are handy little things that let you plug your usb cable into one end and then plug it into the wall. Presto: you are bi-passing your computer and can charge your items anywhere there is an outlet.

The problem often found is that these things cost a decent amount of money. The Apple USB Power Adapter costs $35.00 and the Belkin’s power adapter is $24.99.

So here are the alternatives I have found for you to save your pocket book:

Yup, it looks like the $35 Apple USB Power Adapter. But it isn’t. However, it has got great reviews and is a mere fraction of the price. It is small, gives your USB charged items power wherever you go.

Also a very good price. Has a 1 year warranty, indicator light.. everything you would need. Not as small and compact as the previous, but still exceptional value.

Note: I have not ordered from either of these companies before, these are just sweet deals I have found and since this has been a topic of interest before, I thought you guys would love some assistance on finding some cheap power!

Practically Free Apple Shaped Memo Pad @ DealExtreme!

Practically Free Apple Shaped Memo Pad @ DealExtreme!

Here’s a way to get this Apple shaped memo pad from DealExtreme, pretty much for free! It comes in at $0.01us, which you can pay by paypal.

First of all, add the Unique Creative Apple Shaped Memo Pad to your cart. It’s currently showing at $1.81us. Then add the DealExtreme promo code NEWYEARGIFT into the box where it says “any coupon.” Make sure you don’t paste any spaces in after the promo code, or this won’t work.

This adds the same item for free! You can then choose to buy both memo pads if you want, or you can remove the first one from your cart. If you just want the “free” memo pad, your cart should then be $0.01, and you can order this memo pad with free shipping.

I’ve just ordered mine, so fingers crossed that it will come soon.

P.S. I’ve bought from DealExtreme a few times in the past. They’re a Hong kong company which ship worldwide including Canada, but they’re really good!

UPDATE – this deal was expired within hours of posting. Some people managed to get it for $0.01. Now, there is a $15 minimum spend requirement to use the coupon code.

Kitchen Timers For A Few Dollars!

Kitchen Timers For A Few Dollars!

I thought I’d post about these little cute kitchen timers from DealExtreme.

I actually own this one – the Chef Style Kitchen Timer for $4.20us (about $4.90CA). I bought it about 6 months ago, and I use it on a daily basis. The timer is really handy for me to time my meals to perfection.

It’s a bit short in that it only has a 60 minute limit. Sometimes I have a casserole in the oven for 2 hours, so would have to wind it up twice. It’s not a major problem though, as I would stir it at the one hour mark anyway. The bell on it is quite loud, and I can leave the timer in my kitchen and hear it from the home office. Here’s a pic of him in action!

Instead of the chef style, there are a few other designs on the DealExtreme website:

Kitchen Timers For A Few Dollars! Each of these other timers look to be very similar, with the only difference being the styling on the outside.

So, if you’re the kind of person who throws something in the oven and finds it hard to keep track of when to take it out, I’d say you should invest a few bucks into one of these funky cheap kitchen timers.

Just in case you haven’t heard of DealExtreme, they are a Hong Kong based site, which ship worldwide, including Canada. Shipping is free! They have some excellent prices on little gadgets such as this. Shipping can take a week to 10 days, so might be a bit slow.
