Best Buy Canada: $60 Off Cuisinart 15pc Knife Block Set – Now $90

Best Buy Canada: $60 Off Cuisinart 15pc Knife Block Set – Now $90

Mmmmm general tao… why go to a restaurant when you can make your own? But you’re going to need a good knife and if you don’t already have one, then I found a great deal on the Cuisinart 15-pc knife block set at Best Buy. Originally priced at $149.99, you can now save $60 and get it for just $89.99.

Using a picture of delicious-looking General Tao when talking about a knife block set may seem like an odd choice but fact of the matter is that you need a good knife when handling meat. I’m not the one who handle the deboning and slicing chore or meat handling in my household, but every time my hubby does it, he makes sure to sharpen his knife beforehand!

The Cuisinart 15-pc knife block set comes with:

  • 8″ chef’s knife
  • 8″ bread knife
  • 5.5″ serrated utility knife
  • 5″ Santoku knife
  • 3.5″ pairing knife
  • Six 4.5″ steak knives
  • Sharpening steel
  • Shears (scissors)
  • Knife block

Just writing about this knife block set is making me want to get it for myself because the blade is made from high-carbon stainless steel and the handle is ergonomically designed. My hubby is a leftie, while I’m a rightie, so it would definitely make things easier for him.

Personally, I would ditch the knife block, however. I have heard it being mentioned numerous times on television daytime shows like The Doctors and Dr. Oz that these are the perfect habitat for bacteria. Perhaps it would be okay to use at first but it should definitely be discontinued after a couple of months.

Price comparing, I found this same knife block set retailing for its full price of $189.99 at Sears.

To get back to the topic of General Tao, if you have never made it yourself, it’s super easy and I definitely recommend General Tsao’s chicken recipe available on All Recipes. If you like cooking completely from scratch, then it’s the perfect recipe to follow or you could just do what I do and buy a bottle of General Tao sauce. Once your chicken is cooked, you simply douse it in the sauce and voila — restaurant quality General Tao! Best Buy Canada: $60 Off Cuisinart 15pc Knife Block Set – Now $90

Shipping Best ships orders over $25 for free, you’re sure to get this knife block set shipped to you at no extra cost.

Sears Canada One-Day Sale On Cuisinart Small Appliances

Posted by on November 12, 2014 at 9:30 AM

Sears Canada One Day Sale On Cuisinart Small Appliances

Sears has some pretty hot deals going on today! First of all, they are having a one-day only sale on a number of hot Cuisinart items. Second, they have customer appreciation coupons that will expire at the end of today that will get you $20 off $100 or $50 off $200 on most sale items.

Click here to shop @ now

I think it is pretty cool that Sears has these high-value coupons to add on top of sale items. Obviously the $50 off $200 is the best deal, but I like that you have the choice, in case you didn’t want to spend over $100.

I noticed in the cart that the discount comes off the per unit price, so you won’t see a $20 discount, you’ll just see a total of $20 taken off with a little bit taken off each item. Or, if you have one item, you’ll see it is $20 cheaper.

The one-day sale on Cuisinart small appliances  has loads of items that might make great Christmas gifts this year, as well as gifts to yourself.

One frivolous, but perfect Christmas gift idea for your home theatre room is this Cuisinart theatre style popcorn maker. Regularly $129.99, it is on sale for $103.99. Once you add the coupon to your cart, you’ll get this item for $83.99. Price comparing, I found it on sale at NewEgg for $99.99.

If you are in the market for a new blender, Sears has the Cuisinart SmartPower deluxe die-cast blender on sale for $24 off, now $95.99. If you bought it along with the popcorn maker (because you need drinks with your popcorn), you’ll save the $50 and pay a total of around $150 for both items, with your $50 off. That’s a savings of almost $100 from their regular prices. That’s like getting one of the items almost free.

There are many more small appliances on sale, and by adding the coupons you’ll get them at even a hotter price. Before you shop at Sears, you should always check the forum for coupon codes. Shipping is free on a $99 spend, which you’ll surely be spending if you are using these hot coupons.

Amazon Canada: Cuisinart 11-Piece HW86-11C Stainless Steel Set | Was $300 Now $130 (EXPIRED)

Amazon Canada: Cuisinart 11 Piece HW86 11C Stainless Steel Set | Was $300 Now $130 (EXPIRED)

Amazon is starting their countdown to Black Friday with some alluring sales, like today’s deal on their Cuisinart 11-Piece HW86-11C Stainless Steel Set. It typically retails for $299.99, but for one day only you can purchase this high quality cookware set for $129.99! You’re saving $170 with today’s deal – that’s real nice! You’ll also qualify for free shipping when you buy this Cuisinart 11-Piece HW86-11C Stainless Steel Set.

The Cuisinart 11-Piece HW86-11C Stainless Steel Set has superior heat circulation, stay-cool handles, drip-free rims, and best of all, they’re freezer-safe! They’re dishwasher-safe, too. In this set, you’ll get 11 pieces in total that can help you accommodate your cooking needs!

It always helps to have a high quality cookware set. I’ve had cheaper, bargain-priced cookware sets before, and you’ll be surprised by how long they’ll last. They may be fine at the beginning, but after a few months (or in some cases, a few weeks), you’ll see exactly why the regular price of the set was only $39.99. I now use better cookware sets from reputable brands, and it definitely makes things easier – you can really see the difference when you’re cleaning your cookware! In my experiences, cheaper cookware sets tend to burn much easier, too.

If you were to purchase this Cuisinart 11-Piece HW86-11C Stainless Steel Set from Home Depot’s American website, it would cost you $180 US. I’ve included a snippet of a review of a similar Cuisinart cookware set from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

New house – new appliances, I had to have new pots and pans. These are not only beautiful but the selection is great. Exactly what I needed, they clean great in the dishwasher and there’s a size for everything I need.

You can check out some of the other Black Friday deals that are available by visiting our Black Friday Dashboard. You can also check out the Black Friday section of our website to see some of the other deals that you can get from Amazon. This deal is only valid today. Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

August 5 Cuisinart Mini-Prep Bundle Only $100

Posted by on August 5, 2014 at 5:00 PM Cuisinart Mini Prep Bundle Only $100

If you are looking for a handy bundle for the kitchen to give as a gift or for yourself, has a really great deal on Cuisinart kitchen prep appliances. Get the mini-prep bundle for only $109.99 (regular price of $150), then add our exclusive coupon code to get another $10 off and pay only $99.99. You’ll also get free shipping.

This bundle includes the:

  • Mini-prep plus chopper/grinder
  • 2-speed smart stick hand blender
  • power advantage 5-speed hand mixer

You can get this bundle in red, blue or yellow. It also includes a whisk attachment, blending attachment and chopper attachment for the hand blender, plus a 16oz mixing/measuring beaker for the hand blender. You’ll also get a spatula for the hand mixer.

Price comparisons:

To show you how this is a really great deal, I couldn’t find this in a bundle anywhere, so I had to price compare each item separately. I found the mini-prep food processor for the cheapest price at Amazon for $39.99. I found the hand blender at Future Shop for $53.99. I then found the hand mixer on sale at Kitchen Stuff Plus for $39.99. Adding these all together, you get a price of $133.97. Buying them together saves you the shipping at all of the stores combined and saves you another $34.

I think this bundle would make the perfect wedding gift or gift for someone who is getting their own place for the first time. None of the items are necessities that someone on a limited budget might purchase, but are kitchen tools that are very handy. I use my stick blender, mini chopper and hand mixer probably on a weekly basis. They make food prep just so much more easy!

Before you buy, you might also want to hear a few reviews of these products like this one for the mini-prep from Amazon:

This unit is perfect for chopping and grinding, ideal for small jobs if you are just two people as we are. I chopped cabbage, apple, and carrot, all done perfectly.
Also doesn’t take up much counter space.

For the smart stick, this review is also from Amazon:

I received one of these for Christmas three years ago and love it. We use it almost daily while cooking (chopping onions, mincing garlic, making babyfood, pureeing soup etc) and it has withstood this heavy use well.
My only complaint is that there is only one speed – I would like this more if there were two.

Of course, like anything, there are poor reviews for these tools too, so you might want to google and have a read to see what the downsides are of any of these machines, but from what I see, these are definitely good buys, especially for the price.

July 4 Cuisinart 12 Cup Coffeemaker (Refurbished) (Now $69.99, Was $139.99)

Posted by on July 4, 2014 at 8:00 AM Cuisinart 12 Cup Coffeemaker (Refurbished) (Now $69.99, Was $139.99)

If you are in the market for a new coffeemaker, you may want to consider this refurbished Cuisinart 12 cup coffeemaker, which is now $69.99 (regularly $139.99) from

I have to admit, my love affair with coffee is temperamental. I wouldn’t say I have a sophisticated palette when it comes to coffee but I definitely have a discerning one. About 8 years ago, our run of the mill, nothing special, coffeemaker up and quit one morning, however it was possibly the worst timing for me.  I was in the midst of prepping to host a bi-weekly baby group playdate for the first time. We are talking eight first time, sleep deprived moms who are not only starving for adult conversation with others who can relate to their woes, but a guaranteed, uninterrupted, much anticipated hot cup of java. So my loving husband ran out and splurged on a coffeemaker I had been coveting, but was clearly out of our budget at the time. It made the b-e-s-t cup of coffee, enough said.

Sadly that one bit the dust two years ago, and this time we just couldn’t splurge so we sucked it up and used our air miles on a coffeemaker that held a lot of promise. One feature that peaked our interest was the stainless steel thermal carafe. My husband did a lot of research on glass carafes vs. thermal carafes and we went for it. Sadly, I haven’t enjoyed a cup of coffee at home ever since.

I think it’s safe to say that I gave it the old college try. It’s been over two years and financially it just doesn’t make sense that I would rather walk to our local shop than to brew a pot at home. I’ve noticed my husband doing the same thing over the past few months.

And so we’ve decided it’s time to invest in yet another coffeemaker. Here is what piques my interest with this refurbished Cuisinart 12 cup Coffeemaker:

  • Manufacturer Re-certified with 90 days Warranty (original: Limited 3-Year Warranty)
  • Hot water system lets you enjoy instant soups, teas, cocoas and more, and offers indicators that let you know when your hot water is ready and when it s time to refill
  • Carafe temperature control offers a heater plate with high, medium, and low settings
  • Removable drip tray leaves you plenty of room for travel mugs

I read several reviews on this product and the only issue that seemed to span the different merchants was the five “loud” beeps at the end of the brewing cycle. Not sure if this is a deterrent or not but it will go into my list of cons for this product for now. However for the pros side of the list, I really do think the hot water system could be a nice feature as my husband drinks herbal tea on a nightly basis.

At most stores the cost is $129.99, however at you can pick up the same machine, brand new through Cuisinart for $83.99. So if you are weary of the refurbished status you could go that route.

As always offers free shipping on all purchases, no minimum required. Plus if you collect Aeroplan points, you will receive a bonus 800 points with the first order of $99+ after adding your Aeroplan card to your account.

Amazon Canada: Cuisinart Compact Deep Fryer Now $59 (save $11)

Posted by on November 14, 2013 at 8:00 AM

Amazon Canada: Cuisinart Compact Deep Fryer Now $59 (save $11)

Are you of the deep-fried turkey or ham tradition? Even if you aren’t, deep fryers have their place in a kitchen. They are awesome for fries and the absolute best for jelly donuts. Helllllloooooo jelly donuts… my goodness I love them. Homemade are most certainly the best. If you are looking to pick up a deep fryer, then check out the Cuisinart CDF-100C Compact Deep Fryer on sale at for $58.73 down from $69.99.

So Anna and I both did some price comparisons. She said she couldn’t find this deep fryer anywhere for less than $70 plus shipping on top of that. I pretty much found the same thing though I actually found it hard to find this model. I did find it at which had it for $69.99 with $14.48 shipping. I also kept on finding the CDF-80C model which oddly enough retails for $89.99.

So what are the features?

  • Nonstick bowl with attached heating element
  • Basket holds up to 3/4 pound
  • Holds up to 1.1 litre of oil
  • 1000 watts power

So far the reviews have been positive on Amazon Canada. Because the device costs over $25, it will ship for free.

Amazon Canada: Cuisinart 5.5 Quart Stand Mixer Only $300

Posted by on November 11, 2013 at 11:30 AM

Amazon Canada: Cuisinart 5.5 Quart Stand Mixer Only $300

Amazon has an awesome deal on a Cuisinart 5.5 quart stand mixer for only $299.99, was $429.99.

I price matched this baby and couldn’t find it for less than $400 at other Canadian online retailers. I also want to compare the price of it to KitchenAid mixers, since when most people think of stand mixers, that is the brand that usually stands out. It doesn’t seem that they have a 5.5 quart unit available right now, but the 5 quart is a comparable or more expensive price than this one. So, if you aren’t set on KitchenAid, you might do better to get this unit. Also, compared to the similar sized KitchenAid unit, this one has a way more powerful 800-watt motor.

Cuisinart is definitely a good brand name in small kitchen appliances. Don’t just take my word for it, read the over reviews with the majority of them giving the mixer a 5-star rating, like this one:

I love this machine and have had it for five years or so. It is high quality, heavy duty and well built. I compared it to the competing brands and the Cuisinart stood out. The kitchen store expert was right…much better machine than the popular brand! My only complaint is that I didn’t buy it 20 years ago.

Shipping will be free on this machine. I think this would make an amazing gift idea for the chef in your family, especially with the neutral black or brushed chrome colour scheme.

July 15 Up to 63% Off Cuisinart Brand

Posted by on July 15, 2013 at 5:00 PM Up to 63% Off Cuisinart Brand has a very nice sale on Cuisinart brand kitchen appliances and cookware. Get up to 63% off the original price!

There are so many good deals, I am not sure where to start! I’m not sure people even use toasters anymore (do they?) but this Cuisinart CPT-180C 4 Slice Classic Toaster – Metal is on sale from $129.99 down to $59.99. Many people appreciate being able to toast more than two slices (say when you are preparing toast for a family) and the separate control panels let you toast to individual specifications: light or dark.

I have gone through several pots and pans sets and am still not impressed. However, this Cuisinart 12 Piece Multiclad Pro Stainless Steel Cookware Set is catching my eye, not only for the great price, but also for the pro stainless steal construction. Originally $749.99, the set is on sale for $299.99. They also have individual pieces for sale if you do not need an entire set. I know my husband would like this Cuisinart Chef’s Choice 16 Quart Stockpot With Cover which was $219.99 and is now $99.99. He likes to make big batches of a multi-bean soup and our current pot gets pretty full.

Enjoy free shipping on orders of $25 or more.

April 9 50% Off Cuisinart 10-Piece Cookware

Posted by on April 9, 2013 at 9:00 AM 50% Off Cuisinart 10 Piece Cookware has a Cuisinart 10-piece cookware set on for 50% off, regularly $299.99, now only $149.99.

This set makes a great gift idea for a new couple, because if they are moving from their parents, they probably don’t have cookware. If they already lived on their own, they may only have cheap and random stuff. I joke to my husband sometimes that we should get remarried so we can get new cookware.

This set includes:

  • 0 cm (8”) Omelet Pan
  • 25 cm (10”) Deep Fry Pan with glass cover
  • 1.4 L (1.5 Qt.) Saucepan with glass cover
  • 2.4 L (2.5 Qt.) Saucepan with glass cover
  • Steamer Insert (fits 2.4 L [2.5 Qt.] saucepan)
  • 5.7 L (6 Qt.) Dutch Oven with glass cover

Made with PTFE- and PFOA-free Cuisinart Cermaica nonstick technology, these pans are environmentally friendly and healthier. They are also petroleum-free, which reduces oil consumption, helping the environment. Aluminum pans provide superior heat conductivity, which means less energy is required to get to the right cooking temperatures. The stay-cool handle makes sure you don’t burn your hands while cooking (trust me, I’ve done this, not fun!). The pans are also oven and broiler safe so you can go from stovetop to oven and back again for the best dishes.

There is also a limited lifetime warranty, so you know your gift won’t be replaced on their 10th anniversary. They can take a cruise or something instead!

You can also get rewards for buying this item and if it is your first time shopping at, you’ll get $25 off this purchase, bringing the total down to $124.99! Share with friends and you can save even more.

Shipping is free!

Beyond The Rack Canada: Refurbished Cuisinart Items @ Incredibly Low Prices

Beyond The Rack Canada: Refurbished Cuisinart Items @ Incredibly Low Prices

Beyond The Rack Canada has some amazingly low prices on various Cuisinart items.  All items are factory refurbished to like-new condition and the savings on some items, are over 50% compared to regular prices.

I have always wanted this Cuisinart Salt & Pepper Mill set, but it seemed like too much money to me as I couldn’t find it anywhere for less than $60.  Beyond The Rack has them for a regular price of $69.99 and now on sale here for $39.99, refurbished, but that’s fine with me.  It gets a little frustrating when you constantly have to use a manual grinder and these are always charged and ready to grind as the base they sit on is the charger.

This refurbished Mini Prep Processor in white is another item I would be able to use.  This is a regular price of $49.99 and now on sale for $29.99.  I quite often find that a large food processor is too big for the job I have and takes up way too much room on my counter.  The Mini Prep is a chopper/grinder, which is really all I need and with a 3 cup bowl, is more than big enough.

If you happen to like espresso, cappuccino or lattes, this refurbished Cuisinart Stainless Steel Programmable Espresso Maker is one of the best deals I have found.  This is a regular price of $400 and is now on sale for only $179.99.  You can use either ground espresso or pods and make 2 pre-programmed cup sizes and includes everything you need to make your favourite coffee.

There are many other items available, but everything seems to be moving fast, so don’t wait too long and be sure to check our Beyond The Rack coupon page for our exclusive coupon code giving you an extra $10 credit for new accounts.

January 13 15-Piece Compact Plus Blender Only $54.99

Posted by on January 13, 2013 at 5:00 PM 15 Piece Compact Plus Blender Only $54.99

Save $35 and get the Cuisinart Baby 15-piece compact plus blender for only $54.99, regularly $89.99.

You can make pureed baby food easy and quickly with this blender. With my first child, I was so excited to buy those little jars of food with all the selections, but after an incident where my child ate a 3-day-old open jar of food and didn’t get sick, I had to wonder what kind of preservatives were in those jars! I made all of my own baby food after that, although I didn’t have such a simple tool as this blender.

If you haven’t heard of BPA, it is some nasty stuff found in plastics so you definitely want the BPA-free jars and cups that this set includes. The blender jar is made of Tritan and is 32 oz. Four travel cups with lids make it easy to make food ahead. It also includes a chopping cup. Two interchangeable blades let you blend or chip into the jar or any of the cups (so you don’t have to wash in between).

Even though this is designated as a baby blender, the 350 watt motor is powerful enough to crush ice. You can make your morning smoothies in here or anything else you might need to blend.

With a three-year limited warranty, you know your blender is covered in case anything happens.

Shipping is free!

Beyond The Rack: Up To 80% Off Factory Refurbished Cuisinart Kitchen Essentials

Beyond The Rack Canada has a great sale on Cuisinart products for up to 80% off. Brand authenticity guaranteed; items are direct from manufacturer. Limited time offer ends July 19th or while quantities last.

A Few of the Cuisinart products available:

Items are selling out fast and it’s no wonder at these prices. I can’t wait to get my Electric Cookie press to see if it really is that easy. Imagine, cookies in minutes and I can still say they’re homemade.

The can opener states $100 value, but I did find one at The Bay that looks and sounds like the same item for $49.99 brand new. I think the difference would be the guarantees, Beyond The Rack offers a 90 day manufacturer warranty, while The Bay offers a 3 year warranty. Personally, I would be happy with the 90 warranty and $35 savings.

I also checked out the 12 cup food processors, listed at $159.99, valued at $395. The Bay shows their brand new processors for $339.99, so not far off the mark and again the difference being the warranty.

I think that Beyond The Rack has some great sales on these Cuisinart products, definitely worth taking a look, but some of their “valued at” prices are a little high, so check to make sure you are getting the best deal and if you’re ok with refurbished items and a limited time warranty, you’re good to go.

Shipping: Within 5 days of ordering as long as product is available, if not available, could be 2 – 3 weeks. Shipping is a flat $11.95.

If you’re a new customer, don’t forget to use our exclusive Beyond the Rack invitation code for a $10 discount on your first order.
