Best Buy Canada: Lenovo H50 Desktop Was $650 | Now $500 & Free Shipping

We have another wonderful desktop deal for you, and I like this deal even better than this HP. This fully loaded Lenovo desktop computer is on sale from $649.99, and is now on sale for $499.99 with free shipping.

This computer is a little bit better (in my opinion) to the previous HP deal, which was also a really great deal especcialy when you compared with HP’s website. Like the HP, this Lenovo comes fully loaded:

  • Processor: AMD A10-7800
  • Hard drive: 2TB HDD
  • Memory: 12GB RAM
  • Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R7 Integrated Graphics
  • Operating system: Windows 8.1

The processor is the lower end equivalent of an Intel i7. I love this sale. First, this computer will store all your family photos, home movies, music, and more without blinking an eye. This computer offers incredible amounts of space with a 2TB hard drive!

Speed isn’t an issue with 12GB RAM active memory. The graphics card is great for watching Youtube, movies, and more on your computer. For hard-core gamers this may be a bit under powered, but this makes an excellent family desktop computer. Children and adults alike can play computer games without lag due to the combination of good speed and a good graphics card.

As family computers go, just make a separate user account for each family member. This way, your children can customize their own desktop and have safe and secure places to store their homework and research without fear of someone else accidentally deleting it.

I think this desktop is the perfect workhorse for a home or office. To get the same stats in a laptop computer would cost you over double this price. I know laptops are amazing, but the extra price you pay for portability and small profile can eat into your budget. if your computer rarely moves, then consider buying a desktop instead. You can get better stats for less money.

I could not find this desktop with this configuration of stats many other places. Amazon.com (US) offers it for $510 USD (on sale from $600 USD). Other websites (like Newegg Canada) offer smaller configurations (8GB RAM, 1TB HD) for $550. From everything I found online, this is a great deal on a fully loaded desktop.

Best Buy Canada: HP Pavilion 500-539 Desktop Was $650 | Now $500 TODAY (EXPIRED)

Posted by on June 10, 2015 at 4:30 PM

Best Buy Canada: HP Pavilion 500 539 Desktop Was $650 | Now $500 TODAY (EXPIRED)

Today only, purchase the fully loaded HP Pavilion 500-539 desktop computer for $150 less than regular price. Originally $649.99, this HP desktop is now on sale for $499.99.

When price comparing, it is important to note those last three numbers in the computer’s code. There are at least three different versions of this desktop tower and all three have different specifications. This desktop is one of the higher end models and it features:

  • Processor: AMD A10-7800 with 12 compute cores
  • Hard drive: 1TB HDD
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • Graphics Card: AMD Radeon R7 240
  • Operating system: Windows 8.1

I did some research on the processor as I am not as familiar with AMD as I am with Intel. The AMD A10-7800 is approximately equivalent with a lower end i7 processor. You are looking at a fast processor with enough memory for quick performance. The graphics card is good but not the best. As to be expected, it pales in comparison to the NVIDIA cards. However, it is still a good graphics card and gamers have tested it on graphic heavy games.

One reviewer said:

I got this PC for gaming among other things and it works great. I can play new games and old. It runs fast and it well worth the price. The first comment talked about how he couldn’t connect audio, but mine worked just fine. This is an excellent computer despite what the other comments say. Mine works just fine and I constantly use it because of how good it is

If you are looking for a fast, spacious desktop computer, then you cannot do better than this model. In fact, the price discount on Best Buy Canada sort of tricks you. The exact same computer sold from HP Store themselves actually costs $739.99.

I checked back through some internet records and found this desktop computer on sale as low as $600 previously. However, I have never seen it down at this price before. For the amazing processor speed, huge hard drive, and competitive graphics card… this is an absolute steal.  The price is $240 cheaper than the price that the manufacturer sells this desktop for.

As per usual, receive free shipping on orders of $25 or more, thus this desktop will ship for free.

This is a one-day deal! Purchase this desktop before the deal expires tonight.

Bonus $25 Gift Card with HP Stream 11″ or 13″ Laptop @ Microsoft Canada

Posted by on June 3, 2015 at 1:00 PM

Bonus $25 Gift Card with HP Stream 11 or 13 Laptop @ Microsoft Canada

Are you looking for an inexpensive laptop to replace your current out-modded model? Purchase the HP Stream 11 for just $249.99 and receive a free $25 Microsoft Gift Card. The same offer is available on the 13″ model that retails for $289.99. Receive free shipping on all orders.

The 11″ HP Stream laptop comes in two colour options: Magenta or Blue. Both the HP Stream signature edition laptops come with 11.6-inch (294.64-millimeter) HD displays, Intel Celeron N2840 processors, 2GB of memory with 32GB eMMC built in hard drive and 1TB of OneDrive online storage. These little laptops are the perfect portable devices with 8.5 hours of battery life. You could run this laptop almost all day on just battery. These little 11″ HP Stream laptops retail for $249, but if you are a student, you can purchase one for just $224.10. You also receive a free $25 Microsoft gift card.

You can also purchase a 13″ version if you need a larger screen size. The HP Stream 13-c078nr Signature Edition Laptop (magenta) is already out of stock but you can still purchase the HP Stream 13-c077nr Signature Edition Laptop in blue. The 13″ HP Stream retails for $289 but you can get it for just $260.10 if you are a student. Either way, you will receive that free $25 Microsoft gift card with your purchase. Like the 11″ model, this 13″ model features:

  • Intel Celeron N2840 processor
  • 2GB memory
  • 32GB eMMC hard drive

However, this model has a larger screen but a smaller battery life. The 13″ laptop promises over 7.5 hours, which is one hour shorter than the 11″ model. I am not sure I could go down to a 11″ model as I spend many hours per day on my computer. One reviewer said:

This laptop is great for anyone looking for a no frills computer that just gets the job done. It can handle day to day tasks like office, browsing and video very well. The looks and building are better than expected at this price range. Furthermore, Microsoft signature edition products come with no trialware or junk which is a bonus.

First, both the 11″ and 13″ laptops are a good price. I found an ASUS 11″ laptop with approximately the same configuration (slightly different processor but everything else was the same) for the same price – but it did not qualify for a free $25 gift card. These HP Stream models are priced competitively within the current market. With a free gift card, worth up to 10% the computer’s price, this is a pretty good deal on a base model laptop.

Save $150 on the Dell Inspiron 15 Signature Edition Laptop: Now $449 (or $404?) & Free Shipping @ Microsoft Store

Posted by on May 23, 2015 at 10:00 AM

Save $150 on the Dell Inspiron 15 Signature Edition Laptop: Now $449 (or $404?) & Free Shipping @ Microsoft Store

In the past, the deals at the Microsoft store never really seemed to grab me. But over the last 6 months or so, I’ve noticed that they’ve really been pushing out some good deals – beating the prices of the competition, not to mention the free shipping with every item. And just now, there’s a rather nice deal on an entry-level laptop, it’s the Dell Inspiron 15 Signature Edition laptop. You’re getting a saving of $150, bringing it down to only $449 for this budget laptop.

And as far as I know, you can get an extra 10% off the price if you are a student. If you shop through Microsoft’s education store here, you should be able to get this item for only $404. I cannot confirm this as I’m not a student myself and cannot log in to see that particular price. If you are a student and taking advantage of this deal, let us know in the comments below if it works.

A really brief specification of this laptop is as follows:

  • 6-inch (396.24-millimeter) HD touchscreen
  • Intel Core i5-5200U
  • 8GB memory/1TB HDD

Now, I know a bit about computers; knowledge which is all gleaned by a geeky sort of osmosis from current and past partners. From what I can see, the above laptop isn’t immensely powerful and it’s not going to run the latest games or amazing 3D modelling software with ease. However, it’s a basic model for simple home use. If you want a new laptop for doing a bit of office work, browsing the internet, maybe watching movies on Netflix, then this is just the ticket.

It has that 1TB hard drive which they say is “loads of storage.” In my opinion, it’s not loads. But this doesn’t have to affect us nowadays with being able to store anything in the cloud, on the likes of Dropbox. I have thousands of digital photos and home videos on my computer which take up a lot of space… but I also have cloud storage subscriptions and external hard drives, so a small hard drive isn’t terrible, these days.

This Dell Inspiron 15 Signature Edition laptop also comes with a 5-in-1 card reader built-in. I find these incredibly handy to have on such a device. I can just slot the SD card from my digital SLR straight in and copy and paste photos with ease.

As for a price comparison, it’s really difficult to do easily because of the slightly differing specifications across the board – so we can’t compare like-for-like. The Dell Inspiron range actually starts at $600 on the Dell site itself, or this one at Best Buy which is $549.99 (though it’s a fairly different processor, a bit slower).

Dell Refurbished Coupon Code: 40% Off $159+

Posted by on May 14, 2015 at 11:30 AM

Dell Refurbished Coupon Code: 40% Off $159+

Dell Refurnished is back with this Victoria Day long weekend with a new promotion: receive 40% off orders of $159 or more. Orders under this minimum will still receive 25% off.

Click here to shop @ Dell Refurbished Canada now

  • Coupon Code: 40VICDAY15
  • Discount: 40% off
  • Expiry: 18th May 2015

This coupon combines with Dell Hot Deal items for the best discounts possible on office quality refurbished computers, monitors, accessories, and more.

I know I am totally out of my depth with these computers – as they are designed to be work stations and do not use the same hardware as regular computers. However, I always think bigger stats are better. I have been thinking about speed lately – mainly because my computer is deathly slow. The OptiPlex 990 Core i5 Quad 3.30 (i5-2500) is built for speed. It comes with an i5 processor with up to 3.30 Ghz of processing speed. The 250 GB hard drive and 4 GB RAM will certainly store a decent amount of information, but that is not what this desktop is built for. Originally $609, the desktop is on sale for $517. After coupon, this desktop comes down to $310.20.

Everyone likes a big monitor when they are working for long hours at a computer. Several people I know prefer two monitors so they can have multiple documents open – at a size they can read – at the same time.

There are plenty of Dell Professional Series P2012H 20-inch Flat Panel Monitors available right now, over 20 I believe. These monitors make an excellent edition to your current office monitor or a great replacement monitor if yours is obsolete. Originally $129, they are in the hot deals section for just $109 each. Now, if you just purchase one, you are going to pay $81.75. However, if you purchase two, then you will pay just $65.40 each as your discount goes from 25% up to 40%. You will need to add two monitors individually as each has a different serial number.

Monitors this size can easily cost $100+ new so this is a good way to pick up bulk monitors for a very cheap price.

Shipping depends upon what you are purchasing and where you are shipping. There is no set fee and I could not find out if they have a minimum for free shipping. I know for sure that anything in this post would still require shipping paid for its delivery.

Dell Canada: Free Upgrades Desktop & Laptop Sale

Posted by on May 12, 2015 at 8:00 AM

Dell Canada: Free Upgrades Desktop & Laptop Sale

Dell Canada has a sale that greatly interests me. Right now they are offering free upgrades for the same price (and sometimes lower) than the base computer. These upgrades are free and fantastic if you like faster processors, better graphics cards, and touch screens without paying extra for them.

This kind of sale is cool. Many of these upgrades would cost substantially more (a couple hundred dollars). Now, the sale is laid out so that the first product in the pair is the normal product and the second product is the same item with a free upgrade. The price is either the same or cheaper.

My first example is their first deal! The Inspiron 15 5000 Series Non-Touch usually retails for $729.99. Instead of that base mode, purchase the Inspiron 15 5000 Series Touch that was $888.99 and is now $699.99. The only difference between the two models is the free upgrade: a touch screen. With this deal, you also save an extra $30. Your laptop comes with an i5 processor, 8 GB of memory, and a 1TB hard drive.

In the sale, I also found a great deal on a desktop. This Inspiron Desktop retails for $669.99. It comes with an i5 processor, 8 GB of memory, and a 1TB hard drive. Purchase the upgraded Inspiron Desktop with 12GB of memory (instead of 8GB) for faster processing. This desktop still just costs $669.99.

The Inspiron 13 7000 Series 2-in-1 laptop truly has it all. At $949.99, it is a convertible laptop that switches between tablet and laptop mode: see image above. For truly mesmerizing speed, purchase the upgraded Inspiron 13 7000 Series 2-in-1 laptop with an i7 processor (instead of i5) for $949.99. This upgrade is valued at $139 and will be well worth your money. Once you have worked on an i7 processor, it is very hard to go back to a regular processor.

There are several Alienware models included the sale as well. I am a big fan of Alienware, but it is really only necessary for gamers who play demanding games that require speed and amazing graphics. Tetris does not count. These other deals give you nice bonus features like memory, speed, and more for the same price as the base models.

With the Dell Advantage program, Dell customers receive 5% back on purchases of $100 or more. This takes the form of a Dell ePromotional card. You can then use the code on this card against your next purchase. All items ship free from Dell.

Dell Refurbished Coupon Code: Extra 50% Off Precision Workstations

Posted by on March 25, 2015 at 2:38 PM

Dell Refurbished Coupon Code: Extra 50% Off Precision Workstations

Dell Refurbished has a rather hefty coupon code available right now. Receive 50% off all Precision Workstations and 40% off anything else on the Dell Refurbished website.

Click here to shop Precision Workstations @ Dell Refurbished now

  • Coupon Code: SPRING15
  • Discount: 50% off Precision Workstations, 40% off everything else
  • Expiry: 27th March 2015

Refurbished Dell units come with a 100-day warranty. There may have some small cosmetic marks, but the machines themselves have been fully refurbished into working condition. Each computer is graded by Dell’s cosmetic grading system that you can check out here. This coupon is a good way to get a deal on a new desktop or laptop computer. You can combine this coupon with the deal of the day offers for additional savings, but they are selling out quickly.

I picked out a system at random to test. This Precision T3500 Xeon Dual Core 2.53 (W3505) has a cosmetic grade of A. It comes with a fast 2.53 GHz processor, but fairly small hard drive and RAM. Originally $509, you can score this computer for just $254.50.

When it comes to a big coupon like this, I want the biggest machine I can get my hands on. This Precision T5500 Xeon Quad Core 2.93 (X5647) desktop has a 2.93 GHz processor (fast!) and comes with a 2TB hard drive. While 4GB of RAM is nothing impressive, RAM is pretty cheap to buy. This huge system was $859 but comes down to $429.50 after coupon.

Dell Refurbished Coupon Code: Extra 50% Off Precision Workstations

Unfortunately, there are no Precision Laptops in stock right now. If you have your heart set on a laptop, you can still receive 40% off other laptops. This Latitude E6420 Core i5 2.60 (i5-2540M) is my pick out of all the laptops. It comes with an i5 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 500 GB hard drive. Originally $579, it is now on sale for $521. After coupon code, pay just $312.16.

There are many laptops to choose from but most have rather small hard drives. Still, for a couple hundred dollars, one of these laptops would make a great little computer for using Facebook, checking your email, and watching YouTube videos.

Shipping depends upon what you are buying and where it is going. On average, my orders cost $28 – $30 and I live in one of the more expensive places to ship: Vancouver Island.

NEW HP Stream Mini PC Only $179 & Free Shipping @ Microsoft Store! (Free $25 Windows Gift Card, Free 2 Years OneDrive) (EXPIRED)

Posted by on March 21, 2015 at 10:11 AM

NEW HP Stream Mini PC Only $179 & Free Shipping @ Microsoft Store! (Free $25 Windows Gift Card, Free 2 Years OneDrive) (EXPIRED)

When we write deals here on Bargainmoose, we always try to price compare with similar stores in Canada to make sure you are getting the best bargain. But in this case – I cannot! This deal is for the HP Stream Mini 200-010 Signature Edition Desktop and the Microsoft Store is the online retailer to sell this item online in Canada. You can buy this cute little mini PC for only $179 with free shipping. Read on and I will tell you why this is a deal…

This is a fairly new item and it is not for sale anywhere else online in Canada. If you’re buying this item from the US, you’re looking at paying at least $179US (plus Canadian shipping, duties, taxes) for it. So with the weak Canadian dollar, it actually works out to be an excellent deal to buy it for $179CA with free shipping from the Canadian Microsoft Store. It’s rare to see Canadian prices matched with US prices on electronics like this, so that’s what makes this a deal worth writing home about.

Free $25 Windows Store Gift Card

On top of that, you will also get a free Windows store gift card worth $25. This is really handy too, meaning you can buy a few apps (etc) if you need to.

What Is It!?

The HP Stream Mini 200-010 Signature Edition Desktop is a cute little PC. Ten years ago, it would have been incredibly hard to imagine that a computer could be sized and styled like this! While it’s a small device, it obviously isn’t hugely powerful. Here’s a brief idea of the spec:

  • Intel Celeron 2957U Processor
  • 2GB memory
  • 32GB SSD

Please note that this price is just for the PC, there’s no monitor included.

Free OneDrive – 2TB (?), 2 Years

Along with this item, you will also get a free two year subscription to OneDrive, the cloud storage system. This gives you 2TB of online storage to use. Regular users only get 15GB for free when signing up. I am not entirely sure of the value of this service, but looking online just now – it would actually cost $168 for 2 years for a 1TB service on OneDrive! Getting two years for free for 2TB, is excellent.

NEW HP Stream Mini PC Only $179 & Free Shipping @ Microsoft Store! (Free $25 Windows Gift Card, Free 2 Years OneDrive) (EXPIRED)

UPDATE – upon reading the comments below, Jack pointed out that he thinks it’s only 200GB – this is stated elsewhere on the page. But as you can see from the screenshot above, it states 2TB of OneDrive – there’s an error somewhere on the Microsoft end.

Extra 10% Educational Discount

If you are a student or work at a university, it’s also possible to get the extra 10% educational discount on this item, bringing it down to around $161. If you don’t see this applied at checkout when logged in through your account with the educational discount, then just give their customer services a call and they will arrange it for you. There have been reports that this didn’t work as it is too new a product, but also successful reports of the educational discount being applied on this item, so give it a try if you are eligible.

My partner works in a university so I recently took advantage of the educational discount from the Microsoft Store myself. We ordered a new Microsoft Surface Pro and nabbed the 10% discount when doing so.

Dell Canada: 48 Hour Sale Starts Today! (EXPIRED)

Dell Canada: 48 Hour Sale Starts Today! (EXPIRED)

Dell is having a 48 hour sale that starts today. Included in this deal are special prices on laptops, desktops and other various electronics. Free shipping with no minimum is included with all orders @ Dell.ca.

If you have been considering a new monitor, Dell has a great deal on the Dell 23 Monitor E2314H. This monitor was $219.99 but is now only $149.99. This monitor is a backlight LED with a crisp, high-resolution picture. This is a 16:9 widescreen format monitor, which will give you lots of screen space for both work or for play.  This monitor tilts to adjust for your comfort and comes with a full 3 year warranty. This is a great price on this monitor, as I am seeing it priced between $209 @ NCIX and $225 @ Newegg.ca.

The new Inspiron 14 3451 laptop was $338.99 but is now down to a cool $279.99. This 14” laptop comes equipped with a 500 GB Hard drive, 2 GB of memory and Windows 8.1. While not a super powerful laptop, this is a great price for a student machine or machine for light internet use. If you do not need a lot of power or need an inexpensive machine to tide you over, this would be a great option. This laptop also comes with 1-year in-home support included.

My husband shares an office with another co-worker who likes to sing constantly. He could get a pair of the Sony MDR ZX110NC Noise Canceling Headphones. These headphones were $79.99 but are now only $34.99. These are foldable, noise-cancelling headphones with a long 1.2m cord. If you need a sleek pair of headphones for on the go, this pair would be a nice mix of quality sound and convenience. My husband commutes on the train, so a foldable pair would be perfect for him. These are a much better price than the $60.39 you would pay for the same pair at Best Buy.ca or Future Shop.ca.

These items and other select items are only on sale for 48 hours and will not be around long. There are also several pricier laptops and desktops for sale if you are in the market for something more powerful. If you are willing to shell out a little more cash in exchange for power, good deals can be found in this sale.

ASUS EeeBook Signature Edition Laptop Only $199 @ Microsoft Canada! ($179 For Edu) (EXPIRED)

Posted by on February 21, 2015 at 4:00 PM

ASUS EeeBook Signature Edition Laptop Only $199 @ Microsoft Canada! ($179 For Edu) (EXPIRED)

Anyone in the market for a low-priced portable computer? The ASUS EeeBook X205TA-US01-BL Signature Edition Laptop has been reduced in price, at the Canadian online Microsoft store. While I don’t have the true “was” price, you can pick up this budget lappie just now for only $199 with free shipping!

Here’s a quick list of some of the important parts of the specification:

  • 6” HD display
  • 2GB memory/32GB eMMC
  • Micro SD / Micro HDMI
  • 2 x USB 2.0
  • Up to 12 hours battery life

According to a customer service rep at Microsoft, this is a permanent price drop to this lower level. So, while there may not be any urgency in ordering one as the deal isn’t set to expire as such, they may only have limited stocks available at any one time. If you are interested in buying, I’d do it sooner rather than later.

Now, this is a budget model of a laptop and it won’t run the latest games or multi-task with seamless workings. It’s a good little machine for some basic tasks, school work, internet browsing, etc. If you want a more powerful computer, you’ll pay a lot more for that privilege. But all in all, it’s a great little machine for the budget-concious.

Education Discount

For the Canadian Microsoft store, all people in education or military service can actually get an extra 10% discount. If you qualify and want to avail of this offer, then people in educational establishments can just go here to place your order.

Dell Refurbished Store: Take 40% Laptops, Desktops & Monitors With This Coupon Code & Free Shipping on $199

You may be in the market for a new desktop computer or laptop. If so, Dell’s Refurbished Store has an excellent coupon code available to get you a discount for the next few days. Until the 31st of January you can take 40% off all used, refurbished or off-lease laptops, desktops, monitors and more.

Click here to shop @ DellRefurbished.ca

  • Coupon code: 40ALLFY15
  • Discount: 40% off used computers, laptops and monitors
  • Expiry: 31st January 2015

This is a great opportunity to get a computer or laptop, especially if you are a student. Laptops can be so expensive, and have become quite essential for college and university courses. I tested this coupon code and it can be used on items that are already discounted too. Like the Dell Latitude E6420 Core i5 2.50 with Windows 7 Pro and a 14″ screen. This laptop was priced at $539 and discounted down to $485. Once I applied the coupon code, the total price came right down to $291. To give  you an idea of how great this price is, Staples Canada has the same laptop for $399.99 and NewEgg.ca has a refurbished Dell Latitude E6420 for $379.99.

Dell Refurbished Store: Take 40% Laptops, Desktops & Monitors With This Coupon Code & Free Shipping on $199

Shipping fees may vary depending on your location. My shipping costs were not calculated until after I entered my postal code. As you can tell from the image above, my shipping fees were waived as well! All orders that exceed $199 will receive free shipping.

You may even want to check out some of the other desktops, laptops and monitors that have instant savings before applying the 40% discount. The Precision T5500 Xeon Quad Core 2.93 Tower was $719 and is marked down to $647. Apply this DellRefurbished.ca coupon code and you will pay just $388.20 for a high quality computer tower with Windows 7 pro, 660GB HDD and 4GB of RAM. You may even need a monitor to go with this computer tower. If that is the case, the Dell Professional Series 20 inch Flat Panel Monitor is on sale for $90 from $120. Apply your 40% discount and pay just $54. 20 inches a great size monitor for anything really, from gaming to watching movies or blogging.

While I have heard that the Dell refurbished products do not always come in pristine condition, they do have a pretty good return policy if you are not satisfied. You can sort items by grade “A” and grade “B” while shopping. Worst case scenario you can return any product purchased from Dell Financial Services within 30 days of the invoice date. They will take a 15% restocking fee unless the product is defective.

You can view more DellRefurbished.ca coupon codes in the Bargainmoose forum.

The Crucial M500 240GB internal solid state drive is designed to be incredibly faster than a regular hard drive as it has a 500 mb/s sequential read, 50 mb/s sequential write and 4KB random read. According to its description, it also features “top-level hardware encryption technology”.

This nifty little SSD also has a ton of extremely happy reviews. Well, by a ton, I mean over 75 but 63 of these have rated it 5/5 stars! Only one reviewer rated it one star and that’s only because of a price discepancy at the time of their purchasing, which had nothing to do with the product itself. Here’s what one happy reviewer had to say about it:

I bought and installed this drive into an Early 2009 iMac running OSX 10.10. It completely changed how the computer works and it is like a brand new machine! I love it! The swap (of existing 1TB 7200rpm drive) required some tools and a 3.5″ drive carrier from OWC, then I followed instructions from ifixit to do the work. Once installed, I had to boot on a special CD to upgrade to latest M05 firmware, then install the OS and restore from Time Machine. All worked perfectly and the performance on a SATAII interface is ideal. This is a winner!

Amazon’s price is also the lowest all around. NCIX is currently selling this same Crucial SSD for as much as $131.99. Newegg has it for $94.99 but with shipping, it comes up to $100.98 in total. This is also the best deal compared to the other available storage size, though these are on sale as well in case you need ones with either lower or higher storage sizes:

  • 120GB: reg. $120.99/ now $85.98 (29% off)
  • 480GB: reg. $406.99/ now $213.32 (48% off)
  • 960GB: reg. $659.99/ now $485.98 (26% off)

Since Amazon automatically ships orders over $25 for free, you’re sure to get free shipping on this little item as well. In case you have never ordered from Amazon before, shipping is fast as well.

NCIX Canada: Boxing Day Flyer Out Now & Prices Live On 24th Dec 2014

NCIX Canada: Boxing Day Flyer Out Now & Prices Live On 24th Dec 2014

NCIX, the popular Canadian electronics and computer retailer, has just released their Boxing Day flyer and we’ve got a copy up on our Boxing Day deals forums!

The actual time and date of the start of the NCIX Boxing Day sale is the 24th December 2014, at 4.30PM PST – mark it in your calendars or set a reminder on your phone. There are only 5 pages in the flyer so I am sure that there will be more deals available on the day, they just cannot squeeze them all in to the flyer. The flyer shows us a synopsis of the best Boxing Day bargains.

If there was something in particular you were looking for, perhaps a new computer or a big-screen TV, it’s an absolutely great idea to get researching now. Take this Boxing Day flyer from NCIX, see if there’s anything that you like, and price compare elsewhere. Then you will be fore-armed with knowledge as to the best deals and where to spend your hard-earned cash.

We cannot write about every single item in this blog post, but here are a few of the highlights.

LG 47” 1080p 120Hz smart LED TV was $698 will be $548 – I’m not sure which exact model it will be as the flyer doesn’t say, but I’ve linked to the 2 LG TVs that fit into that category. Both are $698 so $549 will be a great price. If it’s the 47LB5830, the lowest price elsewhere for it is $687 anyway. And the lowest price for the 47LB6100 is $699. This is one of the flyer headliners so there may not be many in stock. If you are interested, I’d plan to be online the instant the NCIX sale commences.

Logitech Harmony Ultimate One Universal Remote Control was $248 will be $148 – this remote control is $250+ everywhere else, so it’s a super price. They may not have many of this one either – get in early to secure your bargains.

Sennheiser HD558 Headphones were $279.99 will be $139.99 – these bad boys aren’t sold at many stores and the cheapest I have seen this model in the past was $159.99. You can pick them up for $180 @ Amazon just now, but the NCIX price of $140 in their Boxing sales is much better. I want Sennheisers!

Logitech G502 Proteus Core Gaming Mouse was $79.99… and the price is too low to show on the flyer! Just now, it’s priced at $59.99 on site, so I’d expect it to be at least lower than that. We’ll check back on the day in question to see the price on that.

There are tons more items in the NCIX Boxing sales, click through and check it out.

As for shipping from NCIX, it depends on what you are buying. Some items have free shipping, some don’t, but you can see this on the individual product pages once the Boxing Day sales starts. Also, there is supposed to be free shipping on orders over $50.

Here’s the full flyer:

5TB Seagate Expansion 3.0 External Hard Drive $100 Off @ Newegg Canada – Now Just $140 + Free Shipping!!

5TB Seagate Expansion 3.0 External Hard Drive $100 Off @ Newegg Canada Now Just $140 + Free Shipping!!

Black Friday may have come and gone quicker than ever this year but if you’re still looking for great deal, then I found an awesome one on an external hard drive. Right now, you can get the Seagate Expansion 3.0 external hard drive for just $139.99 at Newegg Canada. It was originally priced at $249.99, which puts it at $100 off (44% off). If you add a $10 or more filler item and use Visa Checkout, then you can also use the Newegg promo code: VCNOV25 to save an additional $25 off your order!

External hard drives are like tubs of ice cream: when you need them the most, they’re not there! With this one, however, you won’t ever have to worry about running out of space because you can certainly transfer a lot of content with the 5 terabytes of storage. By the way, 5 terabytes (TB) amounts to 5,000 gigabytes. For the average consumer, trust me when I say it’s a lot. To give you an idea, a typical HD movie will usually take up about 2-3 GB, if not less but even if you were to transfer one of those 20+ gigabytes movies floating around the interwebs onto this Seagate external hard drive, you would still be more than okay for space.

Surprisingly, shipping is free. It’s surprising because nearly everything at Newegg comes with a shipping and it’s this fee that sometimes makes it more worth to buy a specific item elsewhere, just to have it shipped for free there. After plugging in my postal code, the checkout section confirmed that my order qualified for free shipping, so I can only hope that it works for you Moosers as well!

You can also choose to protect your external hard drive. Right now, you can pay just $20 for a 3-year protection plan, which would have otherwise cost that much for a 2-year plan.

To give you an idea of the awesomness of Newegg’s price for this external hard drive, I had a look around and found this same one for $206.25 at Amazon! Tiger Direct has it on sale for $204.99.

Dell Financial: Up to 50% Off Coupon, $35 Monitors, & More Black Friday Deals (HOT!)

Dell Financial: Up to 50% Off Coupon, $35 Monitors, & More Black Friday Deals (HOT!)

The Dell Financial Refurbished store has renamed Black Friday ‘Red Friday’ and released a coupon code for up to 50% off everything in store including their sale items. This sale is only on for two days!

Click here to shop @ Dell Refurbished Canada now

  • Coupon Code: REDF14
  • Discount: Up to 50% off
  • Expiry: 28th November 2014

Here is how the coupon works. You will save 50% on Dell Optiplex 960 and 990 desktops and all Dell 20″ monitors. All other Dell Optiplex desktops and Dell monitors will be 40% off. Everything else will be an extra 30% off with coupon. With the above coupon, you will also receive free shipping on orders of $199 or more. Honestly, hit that minimum because shipping is steep if you do not.

Seriously, this deal is hot! Check out the Dell E2011H 20″ monitor that was $110 and is now $82. Because this is a 20″ monitor, you get an extra 50% off bringing the monitor down to just $41! What are you waiting for? Go! Buy!

For a slightly smaller monitor for those on a lower budget, the Dell E Series E190S 19-inch Flat Panel Monitor was $79 and can be found as low as $59 (some are $63). Using the $59 one as my model while there are still some in stock, the coupon code above brings this Dell monitor down to just $35.40. I really cannot see these staying in stock for very long.

If you are looking for a budget computer, look no further than the OptiPlex 960 Core 2 Duo 3.00 (E8400). Currently on sale from $379 down to $322, you will receive an extra 50% off this unit, as it is one of the two models that qualify for this deal. That brings the price down to just $161. This basic desktop has 320GB hard drive, 8GB of RAM, and Windows 7 Pro. There are several of these units available, just search the website if this one is sold out.

This sale has me really excited because you can get an entire desktop computer – laptop and monitor – for under $200. If you were looking for a laptop, I would recommend a few Latitude models. These four Latitude E5420 Core i5 2.50 (i5-2520M) all have a fast processor and 750GB hard drives. They are on sale for $474 right now but come down to $331.80 after coupon.

Take advantage of this Dell Financial Services coupon code for two days only!
