Future Shop Canada: Swiss Gear Slimline 15.6 Notebook Roller Business Case | Was $100 Now $50 (EXPIRED)

Hey there, my fellow deal hunters! Future Shop is currently having a one-day-sale on their Swiss Gear Slimline 15.6″ Notebook Roller Business Case – it normally costs $99.99, but you can now purchase this handy laptop accessory for $49.99. You’ll also qualify for free shipping – whoo!

The Swiss Gear Slimline 15.6″ Notebook Roller Business Case is a heavy duty product that can make it that much easier for you to bring your laptop with you. After all, it’s got wheels! Wheels always make things easier when it comes to travel-related solutions. You can learn more about this Swiss Gear Slimline 15.6″ Notebook Roller Business Case by clicking on the link above.

I personally have a Swiss notebook case, and it’s a very high quality solution for my laptop. It protects my computer whenever I need to transport it, whether it’s in my car or on public transit (I just find it easier to take the subway when I’m going downtown. Paying for parking or driving in the congested streets of downtown Toronto can be quite a pain, so I prefer to walk around the city).

To this day, my Swiss case still looks great! It doesn’t have any rips or tears like many of my past laptop bags did (after minimal use, too). I highly recommend the Swiss brand for your notebook transportation needs.

This Swiss Gear Slimline 15.6″ Notebook Roller Business Case currently costs $99.99 at Best Buy. I’ve included a brief review for a similar Swiss laptop case from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

It is the perfect size with adequate compartments. Space and shape well utilized. All around great case and quality. I’m very pleased with it.

This deal will expire before midnight. Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Microsoft Store Canada: Kingston DataTraveler SE9 8 GB USB Flash Drive | Was $13 Now $5 (EXPIRED)

Posted by on October 14, 2014 at 7:30 AM

Microsoft Store Canada: Kingston DataTraveler SE9 8 GB USB Flash Drive | Was $13 Now $5 (EXPIRED)

If you need an affordable USB stick, then this is the deal for you. At this time, you can pick up a Kingston DataTraveler SE9 8 GB USB Flash Drive from The Microsoft Store for only $4.92 (was $12.99). You’ll also get free shipping with your order, which is always a great bonus!

The Kingston DataTraveler SE9 8 GB USB Flash Drive is USB 2.0 compatible, and can hold up to 8 GB of storage. It’s also quite the compact little device!

I always find USB flash drives very useful. Whenever I want to bring certain documents, photos, or videos to a friend’s house, these devices can really come in handy – after all, I just have to stick it in my pocket! And it’s not like it takes up a lot of space in my pocket, either, so it’s easy for me to also carry my wallet and cell phone without any problems.

Before USB flash drives started to become affordable, I would have to put videos and photos on recordable CDs, which you could only use once. Sure, you always had the files around on a CD, but it cost me money to put them on a recordable CD (I know they didn’t cost much, but I can remember using hundreds of CDs over the years for simply transporting videos, documents, or photos). Also, floppy disks may have been able to hold some documents, but you couldn’t hold many pictures on them (and videos were just too big for the 1.4 MB floppy disks).

If you were to purchase this Kingston DataTraveler SE9 8 GB USB Flash Drive on Amazon, it would cost you $8.40 plus shipping. I’ve listed a brief review of this USB flash drive from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

The build quality of this USB is outstanding. It is USB 2.0 though so keep that in mind. But for the simple every day uses, it is okay. Great buy if you ask me. Sturdy and cheap price.

This item may not be in stock for very long, so check out this deal while you still can. Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

The Seagate Expansion 5TB USB3 Desktop External Hard Drive has a massive amount of storage space on it – 5 TB in total! That’s 5000 GB of storage space! Just to throw it out there, my laptop currently has 500 GB of storage space… this external hard drive has 10 times the amount of storage, and I still haven’t used up all of my laptop’s storage space!

It can always help to have an external storage solution. They’re wonderful for backing up important files, documents, pictures, and videos. This Seagate Expansion 5TB USB3 Desktop External Hard Drive can also be handy for those that want to bring pictures and videos over to a friend’s house without having to send them over online (remember – bandwith can be pricey, especially when you’re sending over 20 GB worth of videos).

This Seagate Expansion 5TB USB3 Desktop External Hard Drive is currently on sale elsewhere. It’s $189.99 on Newegg, and it’s $184.99 on Amazon. At $159.99, NCIX has the best sale of them all! I’ve included a snippet of a review of this external hard drive from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

This was very easy to set-up. I simply plugged it into my PC using Windows 7 and it recognized it immediately. The cables supplied for power and USB are good. I have dual monitors making dropping and dragging files very easy. I was amazed at the speed of USB 3.0 versus the USB 2.0 I’ve been using for years with another external hard drive.

Best Buy Canada: Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard (K400) | Was $50 Now $30

Best Buy Canada: Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard (K400) | Was $50 Now $30

Oh hey there, my fellow Bargainmoosers! At this time, you can score a pretty sweet deal on a Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard – it normally retails for $49.99, but for a limited time you can buy it for $29.99. You’ll also qualify for free shipping with your order, which is always a good thing!

The Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard allows users to have a little more freedom with their keyboard, since you are no longer restricted like you are with a wired keyboard. This keyboard provides you with up to 10 metres (33 feet) of wireless range. It also has a trackpad built into it.

My brother has this Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard, and he loves it. Every time I’m over there for a visit, we are both using this keyboard constantly – after all, he hooked up one of his computers to the 51″ LCD TV in his living room with an HDMI cable. With this Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard, we can both browse the web while sitting comfortably on a couch, or even from the kitchen! It really comes in handy when you’re watching videos on YouTube or Netflix, especially since this Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard has a trackpad on it to allow us to control the mouse icon without any issues.

Previously, we had a wireless keyboard and mouse setup (complete with a wireless mouse), but it made his living room look a little cluttered. It was also a pain to whip out the mouse pad in order to use the mouse, and this Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard certainly made things much more convenient for him. My girlfriend was the one that let us know about this handy wireless keyboard and trackpad, so I have to give her credit for that!

If you were to purchase this Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard from Amazon or Future Shop, it would cost you $49.99. Listed below is a brief review of this wireless keyboard from a satisfied Best Buy customer:

Works like a charm, keys are easy to use, can adjust the touchpad speed in mouse settings, inexpensive and the size is great for typing. I would recommend this to anybody wanting wireless ease.

This deal expires on October the 12th, so check out this keyboard while this deal’s still valid! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Newegg Canada Coupon Code: Save $10 On Rosewill Windows Infrared Remote Control with Learning Function | Was $40 Now $20

Today’s deal at Newegg is pretty impressive. For a limited time, you can get a Rosewill RHRC-11001 Windows Infrared Remote Control With Learning Function for $19.99 (plus $5.99 shipping) with the much-helpful assistance of a coupon code! It’s $29.99 without the coupon code, which allows you to save an extra $10, bringing the price down to $19.99. Normally $39.99, this special remote for Windows PCs currently costs $46.14 on Amazon.

Click here to check out this deal @ Newegg.ca now

  • Coupon Code: 107CAHGRM02
  • Discount: $10 off
  • Expiry: 13th October 2014

The Rosewill RHRC-11001 Windows Infrared Remote Control With Learning Function is compatible with Windows Vista, Windows 7 MCE and Windows 8 MCE. You can use this remote for your Windows Media Centre compatible PCs! Instead of fumbling with your mouse and keyboard when watching movies or playing music, you can sit back and rely on your remote! Just click here to learn more about this remote.

This is a handy device that can really be convenient for many occasions. For example, if you’re throwing a party, you can use the remote to skip tracks if you hooked up your Windows Media Centre laptop to your stereo system (it’s much better than the awkward alternative of running up to your laptop and using the trackpad).

I’m considering this purchase, since I don’t currently have a remote for my laptop. It would really make it easier for me to watch shows on my laptop while sitting on something that’s more comfortable than a computer chair!

I’ve included a brief review of this Rosewill RHRC-11001 Windows Infrared Remote Control With Learning Function from an Amazon customer below:

It’s doing it’s job with little issues. Can be a bit difficult in the dark as the buttons are not backlit and the button size and shape does not quite do enough to overcome the lack of backlighting. But still, I don’t regret the purchase.

Check out this deal before it’s gone! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Tinydeal: All In One Flash Memory Card Reader USB 2.0 Only $1.75 (Expired)

Posted by on September 11, 2014 at 10:30 AM

Tinydeal: All In One Flash Memory Card Reader USB 2.0 Only $1.75 (Expired)

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you wanted to conveniently upload the pictures that you took on your phone or camera to your computer? Unfortunately, there are still many computers and laptops out there that don’t have all the proper slots that can accommodate the memory cards that are in your phone or camera. Thankfully, this solution can help you put an end to that problem for just $1.75! At this time, you can get an all – in – one USB 2.0 flash memory card reader at Tinydeal for just $1.75 plus free shipping! The best price I can find for these useful devices online is at Amazon, where they’re listed for $3.93.

The support that this device can provide you with is pretty fantastic. It can read Micro MS, M2, SD, MMC, SDHC, DV, MS Duo, MS Pro Duo, Micro SD, and T-Flash cards, so it’s quite the capable accessory. Best of all, you can finally transfer your photos to your PC or Mac quickly and easily – this is especially important for those that want to touch up their pictures with their favourite editing programs.

I know that I’m spoiled by my laptop, which has multiple flash card readers. There have been times when I would be at my brother’s home, and when I would need to transfer pictures over to his desktop computer, I’d unfortunately realize that he didn’t have any flash card readers. I would then have to send the pictures from my phone to the computer by email, which can be a pain when you have dozens of pictures to transfer. This is why this cheap and affordable USB flash reader can really come in handy.

I’ve included 2 brief reviews from satisfied Tinydeal customers below:

Modern design and build quality. Good reliability. Operation is very easy. Just plug the reader into the USB socket. Pleased with the test results of 2 and 8 Gbyte microSD cards. The Card Reader is worth buying.

I’m satisfied with the reader. does a great job transfering pics from my camera to my laptop. Shipping was fast enough and we are very satisfied with the product so far. Transfer speed is very fast.

If you’re looking for an incredibly affordable flash card reader, this is it. Sure, it may not have the quality of the more expensive options out there, but for $1.75 and free shipping, how can you go wrong? Hope you all enjoy your Thursday, Bargainmoosers!

Newegg Canada: 65% Off FirePro V3800 Video Card – Now $44.99

Posted by on August 13, 2013 at 10:00 AM

Newegg Canada: 65% Off FirePro V3800 Video Card Now $44.99

I am not going to even pretend I know what this is (video card) or what it is used for (building your own computer) but from what I could tell Newegg Canada has a good price on this ATI 608528-002 FirePro V3800 512MB 64-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Standard Profile Workstation Video Card – OEM. Originally $129.99 it is now on sale for $44.99 with $0.99 shipping.

So I seriously have no experience in this. I haven’t rebuilt computers since i was fifteen and interned as an assistant computer technician at the physical location of an online school. Back then I could trouble-shoot, take apart, and then fix desktop computers. Did it need a new floppy drive (OMG I am old), I could do that. So I know pretty much that this is a video card. I also read somewhere that this is supposedly professional grade. For all the DIY your-own-computer-ers out there this could be very useful so I decided to risk showing my ignorance (the huge mass that it is) and post this deal.

With only $0.99 shipping this deal certainly won’t break the bank either for the video card itself or getting it to you.

Amazon.ca: Up to 50% Off Microsoft Computer Accessories

Amazon.ca: Up to 50% Off Microsoft Computer Accessories

Amazon Canada and Microsoft are teaming up to bring you 50% off some great Microsoft Hardware Accessories.

Listen people, I don’t like Microsoft. I really don’t. I’m a Linux guy at heart and use Windows and other Microsoft software, grudgingly. Microsoft hardware, and specifically their computer accessories, is a different story. They make some really good products. They aren’t always the fanciest but they are almost always solid products. This sale has five items but only four of them, for some unknown reason, show as having any discount. I’ll only include the four that are discounted which include mice, keyboards and combos. it has some wireless stuff too.

I’ve used their ergonomic keyboards before and, while I personally don’t dig ergonomic keyboards in general, I can say that their build quality is great. A lot of ergonomic keyboards out there are crappily built so as to keep the price down. You definitely don’t want to waste money with an inferior product and I suspect this one will not be inferior.

WagJag Canada: $12 For $25 Worth of Product @ 123TonerandInk.com

Spend just $12 for $25 towards Ink and Toner Cartridges at 123TonerandInk.com via WagJag Canada.

If you get redirected to your own city, I found this deal under Winnipeg.

Stuff you need to know about the deal:

  • Minimum purchase is $25
  • Free shipping across Canada on orders of $74 or shipping starts at $6
  • Limit one per person
  • Does not include tax
  • Must use voucher all in one visit (and it does not apply towards tax or shipping)

You have an entire year to use this voucher as it will not expire till 12th March 2014. Ink is something I go through a lot of as a student – printing off all those pages of papers. Ink is certainly not cheap so I appreciate these vouchers. They carry all major brands of ink and some no-name brands as well if you are on a tight budget. My printer complains if I try to use a no-name version of ink. It wants ‘HP’ brand and nothing else.

HP.com: Labour Day Sale on PCs, Laptops and Accessories (Save up to 76%)

Posted by on September 4, 2012 at 5:00 AM

HP.com: Labour Day Sale on PCs, Laptops and Accessories (Save up to 76%)

Even the equipment manufacturers are celebrating Labour day with some sales. HP Canada is giving some deep discounts on a handful of products.

There are six products on sale. Here they are:

On top of these ridiculously good deals they all have free shipping. If you aren’t interested in these specific deals they also have free shipping for the entire site.

HP is doing some cool stuff with these TouchSmart PCs. The biggest selling point is that they are touch sensitive like your tablet or smartphone. Now obviously it would get tiring to hold your arm out past they keyboard and the mouse to touch the screen but there are some use cases that make the touch screen convenient. Of course there is gaming and even scrolling long web pages or documents. I know someone who has one of these and they said it came with some video editing software that makes good use of the touch screen.

Of course Windows 8 is coming out soon and it’s new default interface is very touch screen friendsly so this is kind of futureproofing to an extent.

Another cool feature is that these are all-in-one PCs, meaning that you don’t have a screen attached to a tower, you just have a screen. Everything that would normally be in the tower, the hard drive, the motherboard, the DVD Drive, is built into the back of the screen.

Anywho, take a look and choose your new computer!

Dell Canada: Up to 30% Off Monitors

Dell Canada: Up to 30% Off Monitors

Dell Canada is hosting a pretty good sale: get up to 30% off monitors right now. I found many of the monitors discounted more than 30%, some nearly 40% actually.

Check out this Dell IN2030M 20-Inch Flat Panel Monitor with LED for only $99 (originally $159.99). That is actually around 38% savings, a pretty good deal for a Dell Monitor! There is also the Dell – ST2220L 21.5-inch Wide LED Flat Panel Monitor for $129.99 (originally $199.99) – a 35% savings in total.

So while Dell says this is an up to 30% off sale, actually the sale prices are much better than that (someone should learn their percentages)!
