I’ve rented cars a few times, from various companies. I usually try and shop around for a good deal, but I find it quite hard to compare the prices between the different companies. So maybe you’ll find the above page a handy tool.

Thanks to Bargainmooser Andy for emailing me this information. Andy is involved with the Edmonton branches of Budget car rental and he mentioned that there are some good offers in the weekly section, they could be handy for ski trips out to Jasper.

The above link should activate the 10% coupon for Enterprise car rentals. The discount applies to most neighbourhood locations only, airport locations seem to be excluded from this offer. You can get a discount for up to 6 days with this deal.

It could be useful if you’re planning on renting a car. There are a lot of choices in car rentals though, so I do recommend shopping around for the best deal (Budget, Hertz, Dollar, Avis, to name a few). I’ve used a couple of the various companies before, I have no brand loyalty though. I usually pick the one that has the best quotes.

If I was booking a car in this way, I’d compare the price on the above link, and then see what the prize would be like directly from Hertz.com to make sure that you are getting a good deal for your chosen dates.

There’s a decent little coupon on the Visaperks website right now, which offers you a $20 discount on your Hertz Canada car rental.

Now, the site does state that it will only be available at certain locations, and it is for mid-size car class or higher. I was trying to test it out at my local Hertz, but I was getting an error code, so it mist no apply there. But if you’re booking from Hertz anyway, it’s worth trying the coupon and seeing if your discount appears.

This is a special offer from Enterprise Car Rental Canada, which gets you a 10% discount on the daily rental rates.

When you are using these Budget car rental coupon codes, I recommend you make yourself a quote without using any coupons at all, and make a note of the price. Then, go back to the start of the quote process, add the coupon code, and see how much of a difference it gives you. This way, you can test various coupon codes and see which gives you the most discount on your car rentals.

I have a few friends who don’t actually have a car, it’s not really economically feasible for them, as they travel a lot. This is a great coupon code which can save you quite a bit on your car rental costs if you are planning on needing a car for a week or more. Enterprise Car Rental is offering a 15% discount on their weekly rates when you use the promo code below.

I tested out the discount code to see if it worked, and it reduced a weekly vehicle rental from $133 down to $113! An instant $20 discount for renting cars is not to be sniffed at!!

No matter which company you are renting a car from, ALWAYS google for discount codes first. As Chad mentioned in his article on The Vancouver Sun, he thought the coupon code box was just for people who had a special deal, like CAA members. But it’s not, the coupon code box is for anyone to use. Google is your friend!
