Artscow is having this cool little giveaway, but you have to do a little something to earn it. They are offering 5000 free memo pads a day! I have listed below some instructions below so it doesn’t take you as long as it took me to get your freebie!

Next you will get to click on a link to go make your free personalized notepad.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you use a pre-made template there will be a surcharge you will have to pay for so it will not be completely free. If you are new to Artscow you will have to download some Microsoft Silverlight software. It is simple, but you will need it to design your product. Second note: After downloading the software make sure to EXIT your browser completely and then reload it or the software will not communicate with your browser. This software does work with Apple computers.

And here’s the juicy bit – you can use it to call phones in the US and Canada for free!!! You can call other countries as well, but there are international charges. I usually use Skype but I might price compare with the new rates from Google, because I make a few international calls to rellies overseas.

The technical requirements are the following: Requires Windows XP+ / Mac OS X 10.4+ / Linux. I think most of us are using Windows XP or above nowadays.

I have to say the songs were not my type, but then I am an old rock kinda girl and this is more alternative / pop music. However, Wasted Daylight had a sort of charm to it that was quaint and I enjoyed in my exhausted slightly incoherent Friday afternoon state.

I use to watch Thomas and Friends when there was nothing else on TV (I was sorta desperate, 5 channels and all). For a kid’s show it seemed quality enough, and certainly did not have the violence that kid’s shows embody today.

I love free samples! Even if I don’t use them, I donate them to community agencies for their clients. With the economy the way it is the homeless population has increased (at least in our city) and anything to help is always welcome. Little toiletry samples like this fit well in backpacks and make for easy transportation.

I am also one of those ‘evil’ people who confiscate the toiletries from hotels, and then donate them to community agencies as well. There seems to be some controversy over whether that is proper if you haven’t opened the little shampoo or soap bar. What says you?

I have had several protein powders in my time, and some are just horrible… taste like you are drinking chalk! However, I read some replies about this freebie on other forums and they have had good responses. One woman said her husband really likes this stuff, and another person said that it tastes like they actually try and make it taste good. That sounds promising. My favourite flavour in the past has been Chocolate (yum yum yum) but even that.. some companies can spoil! Whey Gourmet has a creamy orangesicle that looks good though.

I have been ordering save.ca coupons for about a year and have never had any problems using them at any of the grocery stors like Safeway, Sobeys, Superstore, and Save on Foods.

They also have a a generous expiry date on them as well.
