FutureShop.ca: Save up to $100 on Cameras, Camcorders and Accessories – Online or Printable

FutureShop.ca: Save up to $100 on Cameras, Camcorders and Accessories Online or Printable

The holidays are coming up and you’re going to want to get the best quality pictures and videos you can, to remember the good times you have with family and friends. FutureShop wants to make this as cheap as possible.

There are four different levels of savings available with this one coupon code. The code is OHSNAP and the deals are as follows.

    • Spend $100 to $299.99 on Cameras, Camcorders and Accessories, save $10
    • Spend $300 to $699.99 on Cameras, Camcorders and Accessories, save $30
    • Spend $700 to $999.99 on Cameras, Camcorders and Accessories, save $50
    • Spend $1000 or more on Cameras, Camcorders and Accessories, save $100

I like this kind of sale because it’s very open. They aren’t trying to force you into buying a specific brand or model. A lot of people, photographers especially, it seems, are brand loyal so forcing them to a brand isn’t good for the store or the customers. Even worse is when a store limits you to a certain few models. I understand why it is done but it’s annoying regardless. The freedom that these types of deals allow is almost better than the savings. Almost.

eBay Canada: New SanDisk 8GB Class4 SDHC Memory Card $9.99US + Free Shipping

eBay Canada has a good deal on a new SanDisk 8GB Class 4 SDHC Memory Card – only $9.99 (US) with free shipping to Canada.

With 194 already sold – you can tell this is a good deal. I have a SanDisk memory card, my oldest, and it has held up really well – very happy with it. Usually a 4GB will cost you at least $10, so to get an 8GB memory card for $10 is a good deal.

    Features:

    • High storage capacity (8GB)
    • Speed Performance Rating: Class 4 (based on SD 2.00 Specification)
    • Package: Bulk Pacakge (without retail box package)

The seller has a 99.4% rating, which is really good.

Amazon Canada: SDHC Flash Memory Card Deals

Amazon Canada: SDHC Flash Memory Card Deals

Amazon Canada has 2 really good deals on flash memory cards.

    First:

    Second:

Class 10 SDHC flash memory cards have a guaranteed writing speed of 10MB/sec – and are best for action photography, detailed photos, and HD video. An 8 GB card will hold approx. 2,300 photos and the 32GB will hold approx. 9,500 photos. That will of course change depending on your photo size.

I own the Patriot LX Series 8 GB Class 10 and it works really well in my Sony a390 DSLR camera. The transfer speed certainly makes a difference.

Very fast card for the price. I use this in my SLR and write times drop dramatically the light is barely on after Continuous shots, my class 4 card would be on for 15+ seconds before the write light comes off.

Dell Canada: Kodak Battery Charger Mini Kit – $8.99 (Reg. $26.99)

Dell Canada: Kodak Battery Charger Mini Kit $8.99 (Reg. $26.99)

This Kodak mini battery charger charges 2 rechargeable AA batteries at once and comes with 2 rechargeable AA batteries. All this in a compact Neoprene case with a lens cloth for your camera. Regularly priced at $26.99 you can pick up this kit for $8.99 at Dell Canada.

The batteries are compatible with Kodak C series cameras and should be good for all cameras that require AA batteries to run. It is always good to have a back up set in your bag just incase you run out of juice. It is much easier than cameras with rechargeable batteries specific to the brand, they are much more expensive to get a spare battery!

Sony Style Canada: 50% Off HDSC Memory Cards

Sony Style Canada: 50% Off HDSC Memory Cards

Sony knows electronics: and they are known for their high quality. Right now at Sony Style Canada you can get 50% off all Sony HDSC memory cards (not including micro). They have a wide range of cards from 32 gig down to 2 gig – so finding the size you need shouldn’t be difficult.

In my house Sony dominates. We have a Sony Playstation 3, a Sony Bravia flat screen TV and a Sony a390 DSLR camera. The quality is unfailing and we are very happy with everything. I personally want one of the big Sony HDSC memory cards some day. The 32 gig one runs $189.99 regularly and is currently on sale for $99.99!

One of the really cool things about sony cards is their free software:

Sony offers file rescue software which can recover photos and videos that have been accidentally damaged or deleted on the card2. File rescue now supporting AVCHD files. x-Pict software is included in all Sony SD cards and can be used for creating customized slideshows of your images.

The Source Canada: Gnarlyfish SD Card Wallet $9.99

The Source Canada: Gnarlyfish SD Card Wallet $9.99

So you have loaded up on SD cards for all your photo needs but you keep loosing the tiny things! What is a person to do? Check out this simple organizational solution: a Gnarlyfish SD Card Wallet. It will hold 12 SD cards all perfectly in place so you always know where they are. Priced at only $9.99, it is way cheaper than any others I could find.

I looked up SD card wallets several places and the cheapest I could find for general SD wallets was $29.99. It is important to keep your cards from getting damaged or you could loose important photos. I have mine just bouncing around in my camera case, and I am aware that isn’t particularly healthy for them.

The Source offers free shipping to a local store, and it also looks like this is available for in store pick up right now. A good deal I think.

The Source: 25% Off Nexxtech Tripods

Tripods can help you get that perfect shot without any shaking or movement. It also helps get you in the picture… not just be always behind the camera. Get 25% off Nexxtech tripods @ The Source.

The 3 tripods I found on sale are:

I am looking forward to getting a tripod. I keep on having to balance my camera on various stumps, railings and such to get in the pictures. a Tripod will solve that problem! A mini one would be great for packing around without worrying about the weight or much space. However, a mid size would be much better for when I am shooting landscapes and need something stable.

Dell Canada: Kodak Mini Battery Charger Kit $11.99 (Save $15)
Check out this mini AA battery charger on Dell. It is tiny, comes with a neoprene case and 2 rechargeable AA batteries. Great for traveling as it is small, compact and stores easily in it’s own travel case. Regularly $26.99 you can currently buy it for only $11.99 with free shipping.

It mentions that the batteries are compatible with Kodak C Series digital cameras. Batteries designed for cameras I think are somehow superior to regular batteries, they just seem to last longer.

eBay: SanDisk SDHC Memory Card 4GB Class 4 – 63% Off

Posted by on January 2, 2011 at 5:00 PM

eBay: SanDisk SDHC Memory Card 4GB Class 4 63% Off

eBay has a good deal on a SanDisk SDHC Memory Card 4GB Class 4, for only $9.99 US. Believe it or not that translates to $9.93 Can right now as our dollar is worth more than theirs! This is 63% off the general going rate for memory cards these days. Free shipping too.

They come from the US however if you get 1 or 2 there should be no duty as it would be less than $20.

Our London Drug’s purchase this boxing day was a 4GB SD card for the same price pretty much. So you are getting a Boxing Day quality deal, after boxing day. It holds so much more than my 1GB card, I maxed that out in a few day trip to England last month! Halfway through the museum my memory card suddenly complains it’s full. I wasn’t happy. Standing beside thousands of year old Books of the Dead and going through the camera deleting pictures is not the way to spend one’s precious time at the British Museum. This summer my lovely husband plans to take me on a proper honeymoon to New Zealand and I am certainly going to stock up on memory cards before I go!
