For my dear Moosers who don’t know – I am moving next month! I am back to university – 3rd year and right now my commute time is 1 hour each way – total of 2 hours a day. Evil. So me and the hubby are moving closer to the university – about a 15 minute walk. What is also cool is we will be within walking distance of 3 grocery stores! We are also going to be MUCH closer to a Bulk Barn, no more than 15 minute drive, which is wonderful!

My hubby likes the Bulk Barn for all the great stuff you can sample there.. like chocolate covered sunflower seeds! I like the Bulk Barn for their supply of unsweetened dried mango, which is hard to find in regular stores.

It has been AGES since the Bulk Barn has had a deal, so I was thrilled to see this. It is a great place for yummy bits of everything. But a word of caution: If you bring something home with just the tag marking it’s bin number: write on the tag what is in it. I have a bag of ‘white powder’ sitting in my baking cupboard from the Bulk Barm. My best guesses is that it is some kind of starch or cream of tartar!!

Get your nuts here! Actually, that’s a really brilliant idea since I have started baking again, I can buy all my nuts, chocolate chips and other baking supplies at the Bulk Barn. It will be much cheaper than getting them at a regular groccery store with this $3 off $10 coupon!

I have never been to a Bulk Barn, so I wonder what it is like. But I have found myself with an increasing need for pecans, dates, walnuts, chocolate chips, coconut and other things that make the cookie world go round! I am guessing that Bulk Barn would have those!

This place carries a variety of gummy candies, that’s really all I ever cared about from Bulk Barn! But they do also have other cooking ingredients like flour, spices, baking pans.
