Sometimes it’s very handy to rent a car rather than relying on public transport. Last year, we had a family holiday, a Mediterranean cruise! We also spent a week in Mallorca, a small island there. When on the island, we rented a car for the time, and it was really cheap to do so. But having the car gave us total freedom of the island. We were able to roam through the beautiful countryside, make our way through small ancient cobbled villages, drive through mountains and visit faraway beaches. Totally superb.

I recently used Budget car rental for the first time, when I was in Iceland. I successfully used an online coupon code, I hired a GPS too, and I managed just fine! It’s always weird driving in another country for the first time, as there are always small differences in signage and etiquette.

When you are using these Budget car rental coupon codes, I recommend you make yourself a quote without using any coupons at all, and make a note of the price. Then, go back to the start of the quote process, add the coupon code, and see how much of a difference it gives you. This way, you can test various coupon codes and see which gives you the most discount on your car rentals.

If you’re planning on renting a car, there are a few car rental companies to choose from, and you can easily get quotes and compare rates. You can choose from Dollar Rent A Car, Avis Auto Rentals, Enterprise Car Rentals, Thrifty Rentacar, to name a few of the biggies in the business.

Whenever you’re searching for car hire quotes, here’s a tip – always check to see if the website has a “discount code” or “coupon code” field. Then search for some codes on the interweb, and you could end up saving yourself quite a few dollars on the car rental rates.

Some friends of mine rent cars quite often, for a few days every other month, and they always manage to save quite a bit in this way.
