Canada Computers & Electronics: $110 Off Brother All-in-One Printer (Now $140)

Canada Computers & Electronics: $110 Off Brother All in One Printer (Now $140)

Whether you’re an IT goon at a huge company or just starting up a small business, this printer and the price offered by Canadian Computers is awesome.

The Brother MFC-7460DN laser printer is normally $250, but you get it for $140 after the $110 savings!

I spend a decent amount of time in my day job configuring and installing printers. I’ve installed a lot of Brother MFC-7460DNs. The fact that most of the thousands of independently-owned locations that I support have chosen this printer, and that I can pick it out pf the pack, speaks volumes for it. I’ve never used one personally, but I’ve set a lot of them up and they are a dream to set up. Their BRAdmin tool makes it the easiest network printer to set up, hands down.

This is, as I mentioned, an All-in-One unit that can really act as the central piece of equipment in an office. It faxes, prints, scans and copies. The network features mean that you can easily share it out to all the computers on the network. It also allows you to make changes to the network independent of the printer. Very helpful.

Shipping will depend on where you are having your order delivered. Just to use as an example, to ship this All-in-One Printer to Saskatchewan, the fee would be $25.60.

NewEgg.ca: Save $110 on a Brother Colour LED Printer (Save 37%)

NewEgg.ca: Save $110 on a Brother Colour LED Printer (Save 37%)

Print like a pro and save money like a cheapskate with this Brother printer from NewEgg Canada.

This is quite a good sale and as such has been limited to 5 per customer. Darn, I was going to order a baker’s dozen. The printer was $299.99 but like I mentioned you save $110 which brings your price to $189.99.

You’ll notice that his is an LED printer as opposed to a laser printer. The two actual;;y work in quite a similar way but LED has one major advantage! The laser printer uses laser light to “paint” the blank areas of the page you are printing on to the print drum. The toner doesn’t go where the light has touched. This means that the laser has to mechanically move back and forth to hit the right areas. The LED printers use a stationary strip of LEDs that span the length of the drum and therefore do not have to move.

This printer is more geared towards business, it seems. Here are some features:

  • Up to 19 ppm
  • 600 x 2400 dpi Black Print Quality
  • Ethernet
  • Up to 25,000 pages monthly
  • 64 MB Memory, std.
  • (Expires: 31st October 2012)

Amazon.ca: Up to 57% Off Select All-in-One Printers (Save $130)

Amazon.ca: Up to 57% Off Select All in One Printers (Save $130)

Amazon Canada has some great All-in-one printer deals for back to school. They are all inkjet printers and you can get them with an assortment of features and prices. Something for everyone on Bargainmoose!

    There are five printers available:

As usual since these are all over $25 they ship for free from Amazon.

Everyone seems to be putting printers on sale but this is the only sale I’ve seen recently (that I remember, at least) that only has all-in-one printers. My current printer is a $30 throw-away Lexmark printer that I’m pretty sure has been sitting in disuse for so long it’s completely clogged and useless. The cartridges probably cost more than a new printer.

My dad’s printer, on the other hand, is an all-in-one. It’s a pretty old printer and he almost never uses is except for the occasional print job but from time to time he has the need to scan something and it’s great to have the scanner feature available. It’d be the same for the fax and photo printing for a lot of people as well. I suspect that not everyone needs a fax every day but when you need it, it’s great to have it.

Now this sale’s primary purpose, I suppose, is back to school. All the stuff I mentioned earlier (fax, scanner, copier, etc…) are great features to have, especially packed into one small unit. When I was in college I more than once had to go from my place to the school to use a printer or pay them 10 cents to send a fax. I wish I had one of these.

So no matter what your price range or use case, there is something here for you. Check it out and pick one up while the deal is hot!
