Brother Monochrome Laser Printer Was $140 | Now $60 @

Brother Monochrome Laser Printer Was $140 | Now $60 @

Do you know what I hate about inkjet printers? The ink dries up if you do not use it regularly and then you are left with a really ugly doorstop that won’t spit out a printed sheet of paper to save its life. Alternatively, you can invest a little more money into a laser printer and not have to worry about replacing ink cartridges. Amazon Canada has a fantastic deal on the Brother HLL2320D Monochrome Laser Printer. Originally $139.99, the printer is on sale for just $59.83 with free shipping.

I price compared the Brother HLL2320D Monochrome Laser Printer with several other online retailers. It costs $99.99 @, $104.99 @ Tiger Direct Canada and $139.99 @ Best Buy Canada. Given that this printer is at least $40 less than the nearest competitor (and that is excluding shipping charges from NCIX), I figure this is a pretty hot buy. Read the rest of this entry »

Brother Portable Label Marker Was $68 Now $30 & Free Shipping @ NCIX Canada

Brother Portable Label Marker Was $68 Now $30 & Free Shipping @ NCIX Canada

Here’s a sweet deal on the Brother PTD400AD Portable Label Marker over at NCIX Canada for today only. It was priced at $67.98, and just now, you can get this label maker for only $29.99.

This particular label maker does not come with free shipping as a matter of course. But what’s even sweeter is that you can also use the Bargainmoose exclusive NCIX coupon code MOOSE to score free shipping on any order of $25 or more, which this item qualifies for.

The full item title on the NCIX site is this: Brother PTD400AD 20MM Per Second 0.7IN X 13.1IN Portable Label Marker With AC Adapter. That’s a lot of info! There are no reviews or specifications shown on NCIX site, so I will have to go elsewhere to find out more about this particular item.

According to the page here on, this label maker has a handy graphical display which shows you the text and layout before you print. From looking at the image above, you can print out some cute labels with this tool. The machine comes with an 18mm “TZe” starter tape which you can use to start labelling all the bits and pieces in your house.

It seems that this labeller has quite a power consumption – it takes 6 AA batteries which do not come with the device. Consider adding a few sets to your order at NCIX, such as this 20 pack of Fujis (if you don’t already have rechargeables).

As for prices elsewhere in Canada, it says on the DirectCanada site that this item is $23.90… but you cannot actually buy it. Brother Portable Label Marker Was $68 Now $30 & Free Shipping @ NCIX Canada On, the same label maker is $38+ including shipping. It’s $69 here on DirectDial and not for sale at many other stores at all. Great price from NCIX, IMO!

I’d love a labeller! However, I’d probably spend the first few days labelling everything in sight then forget I owned it at all. I do think it would be useful now, with the girls growing older and going to school. They need all of their stuff labelled… and this could be a good option instead of buying sets of labels every year from the likes of Mabel’s Labels and Emily Press.

Brother Canada Promo Code: 50% Off Everything!

Posted by on May 14, 2014 at 5:30 PM

Brother Canada Promo Code: 50% Off Everything!

Brother Canada has a new coupon code out that will save you on everything site wide; it is one of the best coupons I have seen in a long time.  Save a whopping 50% on absolutely everything site wide, all the way until June 1st, with this amazing coupon code.

Click here to shop @ now

  • Coupon Code: THANKU
  • Discount: 50% Off
  • Expiry: 1st June 2014

The reason this coupon is so amazing is that you can use it on everything site wide.  That means you can use it on their printers as well.  It is pretty unusual for a company (let alone an electronics company) to have such a high value coupon to offer us.

You can use this coupon one of two ways (or both if you really want to).  You can buy some new products for your home and home office and save a bundle, or you can be the office hero to your boss and suggest a new printer, fax machine, scanner or something else your office may need and in the process, save your company a lot of money.

You could get this Brother Mono Laser Printer DCP 3-in-1 that was $199.99 for just $99.99 with this coupon code.  That is a pretty incredible deal! I found the exact same printer over at Staples for $199.96, more than double the price at Brother with this coupon code.

Another great thing to get for your home would be a label maker.  I have mentioned many times before how often I use labels as a way to organize at home, and you can start to do this as well. As far as label makers go, there is no need to get the most expensive because the less expensive ones do the trick. This Brother professional label maker that was $99.99, now just $49.99 with this coupon, would be perfect for home or office use. It gets a 4.5 star rating out of 5 stars.  I also found it at Best Buy for $57.98, which would normally be a great price, but with the coupon code at Brother the price is much lower.

Another thing you could save on is printer ink.  I find I sometimes spend a lot of money on the cost of ink to the point where I could almost get a new printer instead for the same amount.

Brother Canada offers free shipping for every single order of $50 or more.

You will find this awesome Brother coupon and any others posted up on the Bargainmoose coupon forum.

NCIX Canada: Save Up To 50% On Brother Printers & Consumables

NCIX Canada: Save Up To 50% On Brother Printers & Consumables

Get a new printer or stock up on all your consumables – or do both – for up to 50% off at NCIX Canada.

I’ve spoken about Brother products before and how, at my day job, I see a lot of independently managed properties buying these. I think this indicates a good product, because these are businesses who print constantly and need a quality, dependable printer. There is one thing that I get calls about a lot regarding Brother printers, and the issue isn’t with the printer at all, it’s with the property.

Quite often they run out of toner and don’t have a spare one. Toner isn’t like an ink cartridge you’d use at home. Ink cartridges for your home printer are small and your local Wal~mart can carry a hundred different kinds in very little space. Most stores won’t carry a lot of toner because they take up a lot of space. This is especially true if you aren’t in a big city, so you need to order them. It’s very inconvenient to have to order your toner and wait for it to show up, all the while not being able to print. So, stock up right now and you don’t have to worry about running out!

Shipping depends on what and how much you buy.

Amazon Canada: Up To 55% Off Brother Labellers & Scanners

Amazon Canada: Up To 55% Off Brother Labellers & Scanners

Scan your documents and label stuff with Brother equipment. Get up 55% off at Amazon Canada.

I work in IT and I see a lot of Brother equipment. I do support for independently managed locations, so their equipment purchases aren’t company mandated. Now, our company does offer an equipment package that does not include Brother equipment, but outside of the stuff we sell, I’d say I probably work with more Brother equipment than any other brand out there. And that is completely organic purchases. All that to say that Brother is doing something right if I can see a noticeable trend like this.

I work mainly with their printer side, but I suspect all their products are good, including their scanners and labellers. I don’t know about you guys but I should probably buy a scanner and a labeller. I have more stacks of paper that should be scanned and saved than I know what to do with. Same with old photos. I have stacks of old albums sitting in my basement taking up space. I could put it all on a hard drive, or up in the cloud. As far as a labeller, I also have tons of wires and various pieces of equipment strewn about my house that should probably be sorted and clearly labelled. Even my son’s toy bins could be labelled so he can learn to put things in their place instead of mixing every kind of toy with every other kind of toy.

Canada Computers & Electronics: $110 Off Brother All-in-One Printer (Now $140)

Canada Computers & Electronics: $110 Off Brother All in One Printer (Now $140)

Whether you’re an IT goon at a huge company or just starting up a small business, this printer and the price offered by Canadian Computers is awesome.

The Brother MFC-7460DN laser printer is normally $250, but you get it for $140 after the $110 savings!

I spend a decent amount of time in my day job configuring and installing printers. I’ve installed a lot of Brother MFC-7460DNs. The fact that most of the thousands of independently-owned locations that I support have chosen this printer, and that I can pick it out pf the pack, speaks volumes for it. I’ve never used one personally, but I’ve set a lot of them up and they are a dream to set up. Their BRAdmin tool makes it the easiest network printer to set up, hands down.

This is, as I mentioned, an All-in-One unit that can really act as the central piece of equipment in an office. It faxes, prints, scans and copies. The network features mean that you can easily share it out to all the computers on the network. It also allows you to make changes to the network independent of the printer. Very helpful.

Shipping will depend on where you are having your order delivered. Just to use as an example, to ship this All-in-One Printer to Saskatchewan, the fee would be $25.60.

October 29 Save $110 on a Brother Colour LED Printer (Save 37%)

Posted by on October 29, 2012 at 4:00 AM Save $110 on a Brother Colour LED Printer (Save 37%)

Print like a pro and save money like a cheapskate with this Brother printer from NewEgg Canada.

This is quite a good sale and as such has been limited to 5 per customer. Darn, I was going to order a baker’s dozen. The printer was $299.99 but like I mentioned you save $110 which brings your price to $189.99.

You’ll notice that his is an LED printer as opposed to a laser printer. The two actual;;y work in quite a similar way but LED has one major advantage! The laser printer uses laser light to “paint” the blank areas of the page you are printing on to the print drum. The toner doesn’t go where the light has touched. This means that the laser has to mechanically move back and forth to hit the right areas. The LED printers use a stationary strip of LEDs that span the length of the drum and therefore do not have to move.

This printer is more geared towards business, it seems. Here are some features:

  • Up to 19 ppm
  • 600 x 2400 dpi Black Print Quality
  • Ethernet
  • Up to 25,000 pages monthly
  • 64 MB Memory, std.
  • (Expires: 31st October 2012)

August 15 Up to 57% Off Select All-in-One Printers (Save $130)

Posted by on August 15, 2012 at 2:00 PM Up to 57% Off Select All in One Printers (Save $130)

Amazon Canada has some great All-in-one printer deals for back to school. They are all inkjet printers and you can get them with an assortment of features and prices. Something for everyone on Bargainmoose!

    There are five printers available:

As usual since these are all over $25 they ship for free from Amazon.

Everyone seems to be putting printers on sale but this is the only sale I’ve seen recently (that I remember, at least) that only has all-in-one printers. My current printer is a $30 throw-away Lexmark printer that I’m pretty sure has been sitting in disuse for so long it’s completely clogged and useless. The cartridges probably cost more than a new printer.

My dad’s printer, on the other hand, is an all-in-one. It’s a pretty old printer and he almost never uses is except for the occasional print job but from time to time he has the need to scan something and it’s great to have the scanner feature available. It’d be the same for the fax and photo printing for a lot of people as well. I suspect that not everyone needs a fax every day but when you need it, it’s great to have it.

Now this sale’s primary purpose, I suppose, is back to school. All the stuff I mentioned earlier (fax, scanner, copier, etc…) are great features to have, especially packed into one small unit. When I was in college I more than once had to go from my place to the school to use a printer or pay them 10 cents to send a fax. I wish I had one of these.

So no matter what your price range or use case, there is something here for you. Check it out and pick one up while the deal is hot!
