BookCloseouts Canada: 50/50 Sale with 50 Titles on Sale for 50% Off

BookCloseouts Canada: 50/50 Sale with 50 Titles on Sale for 50% Off

BookCloseouts Canada has added a new section to their website.  It is called the 50/50 sale section.  Every 2 weeks, 50 different books will be discounted by an extra 50%.

Here are a few interesting highlights for this sale:

    • Cooking – Chocolate Heaven was $2.99 / now $1.49 (original list price $9.99) 85% off
    • Science – Hack the Planet was $5.99 / now $2.99 (original list price $25.95) 88% off
    • Kids – The Billy Goats Tough was $1.99 / now $0.99 (original list price $4.99) 80% off
    • Fiction – In a Time of Treason was $2.99 / now $1.49 (original list price $7.99) 81% off

This 50/50 sale is a really cool deal.  They have books ranging in prices from $0.99 to $5.99. Even if you bought the most expensive book on sale it would still only be $5.99, which is a great deal.  They also have a variety of children’s and adult books. I also like that this is an ongoing deal and every 2 weeks the selections will change.

Posted by Anna on January 17, 2012 at 10:15 AM

Bookcloseouts & Groupon: $30 Worth Books For $15!

Bargainmooser Lara has just emailed me with a really super deal from 2 popular companies here on Bargainmoose – it’s a Groupon deal for Bookcloseouts.ca. You can get $30 worth of books for only $15!

As I write this, you’ve got just over 1 day and 13 hours to buy the Groupon voucher. You pay $15 for the voucher, and you’ll get $30 to spend online at Bookcloseouts.ca.

Bookcloseouts is a really great Canadian bookstore. They have thousands of discounted titles! In the past, Bargainmoosers have written about getting huge boxes of books at amazing prices.

    And Bargainmooser Alda says:

Wow! I ordered 9 new books for my son and doubled each so we could give as add ons to birthday gifts and all for under $25 including shipping. It arrived in no time and not a scratch or dent on them. My son was please, I was pleased and my wallet was even happier! Luv this site!

Bargainmooser TJ got a similar deal:

I just got 15 items… one a boxed set of 4 books, for $60 all in!

They won’t have the latest new releases, but if you are prepared to dig through their catalogue, you can usually find some great bargains on Bookcloseouts.ca.

    Bargainmooser Robin says:

If you ever get the chance-go to the warehouse store in St. Catharines-you could spend days in there finding great bargain books!

Bookcloseouts Canada: Health and Fitness Books Starting at $1.99

Posted by Krista on January 16, 2012 at 10:00 PM

Bookcloseouts Canada: Health and Fitness Books Starting at $1.99

Bookcloseouts Canada is having a big sale right now on health and fitness books.  They have books for up to 77% off and as low as $1.99 a book.

There are over 900 books to choose from in this category.  They use the term health and fitness very broadly because they also include relationship books, budgeting, saving money, and beauty secrets.  Most people have the new years resolution to get healthy in the new year and a great way to keep on track with those resolutions are to follow a book.  Sometimes that little extra knowledge and support is all you need to stick with it.

Here are some of the highlights:

All of the books that are on sale are limited in quantities so it will be a first buy basis.  Also if you are buying over $35, remember to check out our earlier Bargain Moose post with a coupon code for $10 off your purchase of $35 or more.  This coupon code is still valid until 31st January 2012.

Bookcloseouts Canada: Save $10 Off $35 Coupon Code + 50% off Calendars

Bookcloseouts Canada: Save $10 Off $35 Coupon Code + 50% off Calendars

There is a new coupon code out for Bookcloseouts Canada that will get you $10 off your purchase of $35 or more until the end of January 2012.  They also have calendars on sale for an additional 50% off.

Here are the details for the coupon deal:

    • Coupon Code: JAN2012PROMO
    • Password: BOOKCLOSEOUTS
    • Discount: Save $10 on purchase of $35 or more
    • Expiry: 31st, January 2012

To get this deal you must enter the coupon code at the checkout.  It will ask you for a password and enter the password listed there. This offer is good on everything but cannot be combined with other discount coupons.

The calendars are all on sale for an additional 50% off the already reduced price.  This is a spectacular deal!  The reason I say this is because the calendars range from $1.49 and go to $2.99.  I can’t believe the most expensive calendar they have is only $2.99!  There are 59 different calendars to choose from but they will be going fast at these prices.  They are on for a limited time only until they run out.

    Bookcloseouts Canada: Autographed Books

Posted by Avigayil on November 20, 2011 at 8:00 PM

    Bookcloseouts Canada: Autographed Books

I was recently considering a bee-order of one of my favourite graphic novels because the authors autograph the first 1000 books. Then I saw the shipping price and decided I will buy the book only when they have a shipping promo. and then drag it to my next comic convention they happen to be at. This got me thinking: for the love of autographed books people often will spend full price and even pre-pay without coupons or considerations to shipping costs. At Bookcloseouts Canada, however, they have over 1000 autographed titles just waiting for you to find your favourite author.  All 50% off or greater with free shipping at $35.

Here are an example of some titles I found. I chose children’s fiction as my genre because as a child I would have died of happiness to have an autographed book from a favourite author of mine.

Some good choices – and just far too many appealing books to list.

    Bookcloseouts.ca: Company’s Coming Cookbooks for $2.99 – $4.99 (Reg. $10.99 – $19.99)

Posted by Avigayil on October 23, 2011 at 1:00 PM

    Bookcloseouts.ca: Companys Coming Cookbooks for $2.99 $4.99 (Reg. $10.99 $19.99)

Bookcloseouts has some fantastic prices on cookbooks and I wanted to show you my favourite series: Company’s Coming. These are spiral bound books (great for propping open) that cover almost any item you could think of. They are written by a Canadian woman, Jean Pare. These books cost on average $16.99 at your average grocery store, and yet on book closeouts you can get a great selection for only $2.99 – $4.99.

Here are some the books they have:

They have a bunch more too. If you want to see all of them it is best to search for “Company’s Coming” rather than name (which they often mis-spell) or the Publishing company as that seems to only bring up a partial list.

I own 5 (maybe 6 now) of her cookbooks and they are the only cookbook I use for baking (I bake, husband cooks primarily). They are fabulous, easy to follow and in a regular baker’s kitchen you have the ingredients for a good portion of the cookbook.

Bookcloseouts.ca still has free shipping on orders of $35+!Take advantage of such a great offer.

Note: You must select the: “1. Standard Shipping cost: $0.00” option when checking out.

If you are a comic strip fan here ar a couple suggestions for you:

Both great reads, the second one is a most excellent deal (and hardcover), you won’t be disappointed.

If you are a Neil Gaiman fan and have children you might want to check out a few of the books I am picking up:

Both hardcover. I also managed to find a scratch & dent cover of Prince of Stories (in hardcover) for $3.49 which is 88% off retail price. You can get the softcover for close to the same price though: $3.99 or pay a little extra for a non-scratch & dent hardcover.

It depends on where your interest lie. I love good art, graphical rendered stories and comics. However, I also have To Hell In High Heels in my cart – an awesome book on anti-aging that I read 1/2 of when i was in New Zealand (it was on the bookshelf where we were staying). I highly recommend it to ANY woman! Only $4.99 – 61% off it’s cover price.

There are also some great Company’s Coming cookbooks starting at just $2.99 each. I picked up 2.

In total I paid just over $35 for 7 books. BookCloseouts.ca: Free Shipping on $35+

Bookcloseouts: Additional 50% Off Over 10k Titles

Bookcloseouts has an additional 50% off over 10,000 books! This is their Clearance Sale, and def. worth checking out. If you are shopping I suggest using the .com not .ca website. The shipping price is the same, both ship from within Canada… but with the US/CAN exchange rate you will end up paying less for your order if bought on .com.

I like the sound of this 4 Ingredient Cook Book: now only $2.49. Sometimes I really don’t have time to cook, but 4 ingredients sounds do-able!

If you are looking for some younger readers books, check out Alector’s Choice (Corean Chronicles, Bk. 4) by L. E. Modesitt. This hardcover book was originally $27.99, and is now only $2.99! You might be able to find the entire series on there!

    Bookcloseouts Scratch & Dent Sale

Posted by Anna on June 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM

    Bookcloseouts Scratch & Dent Sale

At Bookcloseouts Canada, they’re having a scratch and dent sale, offering an extra 15% off over 10,000 titles.

Shipping from Bookcloseouts depends on how much you purchase. I believe it is calculated by weight, so throw some books in your cart and you will see the final price. There are some coupon codes that you might want to apply too, to help offset the shipping cost a bit.

    • Coupon Code: PricePickle-5
    • Discount: $5 off $35
    • Coupon Code: PricePickle-10
    • Discount: $10 off 65

    • Coupon Code: PricePickle-20
    • Discount: $20 off $120

I’m obviously not going to list all 10,000 titles here (!) but here are a few highlights:

There are so many thousands of books in there, you could spend hours hunting through them all. I’ve had comments from Bargainmoosers here in the past that they’ve ordered literally hundreds of dollars worth of books from Bookcloseouts all in one go, because the deals were so good.

BookCloseOuts Canada: 100s of Humor Comics @ 50% Off

Posted by Anna on June 9, 2011 at 10:00 PM

BookCloseOuts Canada: 100s of Humor Comics @ 50% Off

In a recent email newsletter from BookCloseOuts Canada, they told me that they’re offering 100s of humour comics for 50% off or more!

Now, this sale is right up my alley. Here are some examples of the series on offer:

Far Side – I’ve got quite a few of these individual books already, but I also have a stupendous Far Side hardback collection of everything they’ve ever done. I’m particularly fond of the comic strips about cows. Or chickens. If you have never heard of the Far Side, have a quick google image search and see if you like some of the individual cartoons.

Calvin & Hobbes – When I was at school, an artistic young lad in my class was obsessed with C&H and used to doodle little pictures of them all over his books. I never really liked the comics through, they never really grabbed me. But I know that there are a lot more die-hard fans out there too.

Dilbert – And what person who has worked in an office has never at some point had a chuckle at the antics of Dilbert and co?

DIY Dentistry – I’ve got this one! It’s one of our “bathroom books.” It’s a series of cartoons showing people pulling their own teeth, and other funny inventions.  Both my partner and I are very squeamish about the dentist, so anything that helps alleviate a bit of that tension is always a bonus.

Remember, the BookCloseOuts pocket book sale is still ongoing too.
