Amazon Canada: Huge Fall Deals up to 65% Off TV Shows

Amazon Canada: Huge Fall Deals up to 65% Off TV Shows

Amazon Canada has a lot of great deals happening right now and here is another one.  They have a Fall Sale on right now with TV shows up to 65% off the regular prices.

I am someone that likes to watch an entire TV series over and over again especially in the colder months.  There is nothing worse than wanting to curl up on the couch and relax with a great show and there is nothing on.  I like re-watching shows because most of the time I forget what happened anyways.

One of my favorite series is included with these fall deals.  Breaking Bad is such a great show and it was priced at $26.99 and is now just $15.99 for the first season. If you have not yet had a chance to watch this show, it is definitely worth watching.

Along with some popular TV shows, they also have some great miniseries, reality TV shows and educational DVDs like the Blue Planet series.  There is also a great mixture of old and new series to choose from.

Amazon Canada offers free shipping for most orders $25 or more which is a very low minimum compared to most places.

Amazon Canada: The Bourne Trilogy 59% Off

Posted by on August 20, 2012 at 4:00 PM

Amazon Canada: The Bourne Trilogy 59% Off

I am a huge fan of the Bourne trilogy and can’t wait to see the one that is in theaters right now.  Today at Amazon Canada, they have the Bourne trilogy on Blu-ray on sale at 59% off the regular price.

This trilogy on Blu-ray was $57.99 and is now just $23.99.  That makes each Blu-ray movie less than $8 each.  This offer almost qualifies for free shipping (when you spend $25 or more) so my suggestion is to find something small you might like from Amazon Canada to get the free shipping.  If not, the cost of shipping is usually pretty reasonable.

The rating on these movies, if you have not watched them yet, is 4.5 stars out of 5 which is practically a perfect rating. This series is one of my rainy day type of movies because they have a little bit of everything in them.  If you have not watched them yet they are a definite must see!

Amazon Canada: Preorder 30th Anniversary Blade Runner Blu-Ray for $22.99 (Save $43.15)

Amazon Canada: Preorder 30th Anniversary Blade Runner Blu Ray for $22.99 (Save $43.15)
You know how your mom always told you not to run with a blade? This is different. This is SciFi movie gold and money saving magic from Amazon.ca!

If you are a Sci-Fi nerd (Anna, I’m looking at you!) then you’re not reading this because you’ve already jumped to Amazon Canada to buy this. The deal is absolutely amazing. On Amazon.com the same product is selling $58.32 so we know this isn’t one of Amazon’s phony “save off of the MSRP” deals. Keep in mind that this product only ships on 23rd OCTOBER 2012 so you’ll have to wait a bit to get it.

For the rest of you, this is the “ultimate” version of this awesoem SciFi movie. The original 1982 release of the movie was changed from what directory Ridley Scott wanted it to be so in 1993 he released his Directors cut. That didn’t satisfy Scott though do in the early 2000′s he started to put together the Final Cut; the definitive release of the movie. It got released in 2007 but is being re-released here on four Blu-Rays.

I haven’t seen the movie in a while and, to be honest, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen the whole thing from beginning to end. That being said, here is the synopsis as Wikipedia tells it:

The film depicts a dystopian Los Angeles in November 2019 in which genetically engineered organic robots called replicants—visually indistinguishable from adult humans—are manufactured by the powerful Tyrell Corporation as well as by other “mega–manufacturers” around the world. Their use on Earth is banned and replicants are exclusively used for dangerous, menial or leisure work on off-world colonies. Replicants who defy the ban and return to Earth are hunted down and “retired” by police special operatives known as “Blade Runners”. The plot focuses on a brutal and cunning group of recently escaped replicants hiding in Los Angeles and the burnt out expert Blade Runner, Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), who reluctantly agrees to take on one more assignment to hunt them down.

Amazon Canada: Complete First Season of Game of Thrones Blu-ray 50% Off

Posted by on June 15, 2012 at 6:00 AM

Amazon Canada: Complete First Season of Game of Thrones Blu ray 50% Off

Amazon Canada has a great deal on a very popular series right now.  Get the complete first season of Game of Thornes on Blu-ray for just $49.99 which is 50% off the regular price.

This is one of those shows that everyone has been telling me to watch but I just haven’t got around to it.  I keep hearing what a great show it is so this deal got my interest. This first season was priced at $99.99 but is now just $49.99 for a limited time only.

Here are a couple of  reviews for those of you like me that have not yet seen this series.

Watched the first season to catch up to the second season starting recently… This is such a great show and I haven’t even read the books yet which I will be doing now for sure!

The Game of Throne is fabulous. I am reading the books and I think the actors are perfect for their roles. Everything about this show is so wonderfully done. Each episode leaves you wanting, no needing to see the next. High recommended!

I really enjoy the medieval genre and this is right up there with Dune…Can’t wait until year two can be purchased.

I have also heard that the books are excellent and I am waiting on a great deal for these as well.  If you are not in a rush to get your order, use the super saver shipping for free shipping.  I do this every time and I have always got my orders within the week even if it has stated a longer delivery time.

Thanks to bargainmooser Crafty501 on the hot deals forum for letting us know about this deal!

Cineplex Store Canada: 2x Scene Points & 2 Free Movies with $50 Purchase

Posted by on June 10, 2012 at 11:00 AM

Cineplex Store Canada: 2x Scene Points & 2 Free Movies with $50 Purchase

For a limited time only, spend $50 or more on any combination of Blu-ray, DVD or digital download and get 2x the Scene points and 2 movie tickets.  You will also get free shipping with your order.

Here is the fine print for this deal:

Each Admit-One Voucher may be exchanged for one (1) general admission ticket to a movie at any Cineplex Entertainment theater (subject to the terms and conditions on the Voucher itself). Only two (2) Admit-One Vouchers will be issued per order regardless of the number of Admit-One Vouchers displayed at time of check-out or in the purchase order. Your Admit-One Voucher(s) will be mailed with your purchase. 2X SCENE points, free shipping and 2 free Cineplex Admit-One vouchers offer valid from June 1 to June 17, 2012. No substitutions or rain checks. Offer not valid on the purchase of gift cards. Offer cannot be combined with any other offer, discount or promotion, and is subject to change or termination without notice.

The approximate value of the free movie tickets is $26 and the 2x the Scene points adds up fast to more free movies.  I have had a Scene card for about 2 years now and have already earned 4 free movies (that is using it very minimally).

To get this deal you must make your purchase before 17th June.  They have many movies to choose from including new and old movies.  You can also pre-order new movies that are not yet available.  They also offer a Deal of the Day everyday with movies as low as $0.99.

Amazon Canada: Lord of the Rings Blu ray Trilogy $40 (save 64%)

Amazon Canada has an awesome deal on right now.  Get the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy on Blu-ray for just $40 (regular price is $111.99).  That is 64% off the regular price.

Usually when you buy the entire box set of a series of movies you will be paying well over $100 for it specifically if it is on Blu-ray.  This entire collection is on sale for a limited time only for just $40!  I took advantage of the last awesome box set offer from Amazon Canada (the Harry Potter collection) and it arrived at my door before the end of the week. This offer states that it will be shipped within 1-2 months but so did the last offer and it was a lot faster.

I absolutely love the Lord of the Rings Trilogy and at this hot price it is hard to pass up! With Father’s Day just a few weeks away, this would make a fantastic Father’s Day gift for the dad that is a movie lover, if he doesn’t already own the collection.

There are a few just blu-ray mixed in with the sale, and very appealing ones too, like Pan’s Labyrinth and The Brothers Grimm.

In my comparative literature course this last semester we studied Pan’s Labyrinth. Have you ever noticed that the tree you see on the front cover (and I used as a banner) looks an awful lot like fallopian tubes? A great guy in our class totally freaked out when he made the connection, literally shouting “OMG they are fallopian tubes” across the room. Was HILARIOUS! was amazed that it got as low as 24.99$ in the holidays and bought it without knowing what edition it was! Well…. I was even more happier when I opened it and saw that it was the 9-disc Edition! A Must for any comic book fan!

Now: I am a bit confused. The reviews attached to this come from way before this was released, so I think they are transferred over from the DVD version. This Blu-Ray Trilogy was only released May 10th, 2011.

Not sure when this deal ends!
