Amazon Canada: Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy Box Set On Blu Ray | Was $75 Now $37

Oh hey there, my fellow Moosers! Amazon is currently having an awesome sale on their Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy Box Set on Blu-Ray – it normally sells for $74.99, but you can now purchase this Blu-Ray set for just $36.99! You’ll also qualify for free shipping, which is always a nice bonus! Now that the new instalment of the series Jurassic World has recently been announced, you just might want to pick up this Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy Box Set on Blu-Ray and watch these classics in beautiful high-definition!

The Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy Box Set on Blu-Ray comes with Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, and Jurassic Park III. I have this Blu-Ray set, and it’s totally worth getting. It has some great bonus features, and the box that these Blu-Rays come in is nice, sleek, and looks great on my shelf of movies.

Some people may be stressed around the holiday season, and it can be easy for that to happen. However, I just love it. I do find it challenging to do my Christmas shopping at malls on weeknights and weekends, due to the huge crowds and the limited parking spaces that are usually available, but that’s why shopping online is just so convenient. For the past few years, I’ve done the majority of my holiday shopping online, and I’ll continue to tell my friends and family that it’s the easiest way to go.

If you wanted to buy this Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy Box Set on Blu-Ray at Best Buy today, it would cost you $64.99. Listed below is a brief review of this collection from a satisfied Best Buy customer:

The picture and the sound are out of this world I enjoyed it very much thank you.

Before you check out the new Jurassic Park movie (Jurassic World), you owe it to yourself to revisit the original Jurassic Park movies. Happy hunting, my fellow Bargainmoosers!

The Godfather Collection: The Coppola Restoration Blu-Ray Set is one that would instantly make many people smile if they received it on Christmas morning. The Godfather movies are one of the all-time classics that are out there, and I can honestly say that they’re some of my favourite movies of all time. These mob epics are just masterpieces – some may not love them after viewing them for the first time, but by the time you watch them again, you begin to appreciate all of the characters and settings of these films.

This Blu-Ray set includes The Godfather, The Godfather Part II, and The Godfather Part III. Al Pacino is at his finest in these movies, and delivers an intense, underscored performance in these movies. If you know of any mob movie fans that you’d love to get a gift for during this holiday season, then you really need to consider picking up this deal!

If you wanted to buy this Blu-Ray set at WalMart, it would cost you $40. I’ve included a brief review of The Godfather Collection: The Coppola Restoration Blu-Ray Set from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

Amazon Canada: Band Of Brothers Blu Ray Set | Was $100 Now $29

Attention! Have any of you Bargainmoosers heard of the Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks-produced TV series, Band Of Brothers? It has gotten rave reviews for many years, as this series showed an intimate and harrowing look at the combat that occurred World War II. Well today’s deal at Amazon is for a Band Of Brothers Blu-Ray Set – this normally sells for $99.99, but you can now order this for only $28.99! Now that’s a great deal – after all, you’re saving $71 from the retail price! You’ll also qualify for free shipping, which is always a nice bonus!

If you’re looking for the perfect present for Dad, then you should consider getting this Band Of Brothers Blu-Ray Set. It’s a great series for World War II aficionados to check out, and it continues to get praise to this very day. In fact, one of my friends urged me to check out this series a few months ago, and he told me that it’s something that you just can’t miss. I think I just might pick up this set and watch it during the holidays. You can’t go wrong with a series that was produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks!

This mini-series has 10 episodes in total, along with a documentary that features interviews with some of the veterans of WWII. Altogether, you’re getting 705 minutes of content, so this is a great deal!

If you wanted to buy this Band Of Brothers Blu-Ray Set from Best Buy, it would cost you $66.99. Listed below is a brief review of this set from a satisfied Amazon customer:

Probably my most favourite series of all time. These 10 episodes really make you feel like you’re in the action. Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg have done an amazing job, and a real tribute to the veterans and our current day soldiers. On Blu-ray it is of course incredibly clear. You will not regret this purchase.

Have a great day, my fellow deal hunters!

Best Buy Canada: X-Men Trilogy Pack On Blu-Ray | Was $40 Now $15

Posted by on November 18, 2014 at 10:37 AM

Best Buy Canada: X Men Trilogy Pack On Blu Ray | Was $40 Now $15

Hey there, my fellow deal hunters! Best Buy currently has a great sale on the X-Men Trilogy Pack on Blu-Ray – it normally retails for $39.99, but you can now pick up this Blu-Ray set for only $14.99 (plus $1.99 shipping). This set currently sells for $39.99 at Future Shop, so you’re getting $25 off the regular price! Plus, who doesn’t love comic book movies? Even if you’re not too familiar with the X-Men characters, these films do a great job of making even first-time viewers familiar with the background of the Marvel X-Men universe. They’re fun to watch, and best of all, they’re now on Blu-Ray!

This X-Men Trilogy Pack on Blu-Ray comes with the first 3 X-Men movies. I have them on DVD, and I really enjoyed watching them. My older brother, who isn’t really a huge fan of Marvel movies, loves the X-Men films. He actually has each of these movies in his DVD collection, so it goes to show you that even those who weren’t really fans of the comic book just might enjoy these films.

I used to love the X-Men when I was a child. At first, I was a fan of Batman and Superman (mostly Batman, since the huge Batman Returns marketing blitz was occurring at the time). However, by the time I turned 7, my new favourite Marvel characters were the X-Men. I watched the cartoon every Saturday morning, too! Who doesn’t remember this iconic theme song? It was also on an hour before WWF Superstars, so it was a part of my Saturday viewing block. Man, I loved parking myself in front of the TV and just watching it on those weekend mornings.

I’ve included a brief review of this X-Men Trilogy Pack on Blu-Ray from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

To start with I am not a fan of sci-fi, but this story carries a good sense of personal struggle that is easy to associate with. And, of course, some very cool effects which attract I believe most of the viewers.

Quantities are extremely limited, so get this now before it’s gone! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Amazon Canada: 69% off Bond 50 (Now $90) (EXPIRED)

Posted by on November 14, 2014 at 9:00 AM

Amazon Canada: 69% off Bond 50 (Now $90) (EXPIRED)

Today only, get 70% off the entire collection of Bond movies! Get the Bond 50 for only $89.99, with a regular price of $299.99 and it will ship for free too. This will make a fantastic gift for any movie buff or Bond lover.

I’ve actually never watched a Bond movie in my life, but this deal is too good to pass up. My husband is the type to love a movie and watch it repeatedly, rather than try his luck with other movies. If I bought him this collection, I’m sure I’d never see the end of end of it, but it sounds intriguing, and I bet I’d love it too. 101 customer reviews that give it almost 5 overall stars can’t be wrong.

What you get for $90:

  • 23 films on Blu-Ray
  • 120 hours of extras

You’ll get all of the Bond movies in this collection from Dr. No to Skyfall, which is the latest. Apparently there is one Bond movie missing, which is never included in any boxset (Never Say Never Again). This is truly hours and hours of watching. I would be very interested in seeing how the Bond men change over time.

Reviewers site how the quality of the movies is greatly improved on the Blu-ray versions, although the packaging is not very nice.

I was a little worried as I had read about issues with the books falling apart, but so far there have been no problems! The movies look amazing, and there are a good amount of special features. I’d recommend this for any bond fan who doesn’t yet own all of the movies.

Just to give you a price comparison, Best Buy has it on for $109 as a special price, but with only a few copies left in stock.

I have a feeling this deal with sell out quickly, so if you want it, don’t hesitate. It is also on today only, so you’ve got 18 hours left to get it even if it doesn’t sell out.

Amazon Canada: Rocky Heavyweight Collection On Blu-Ray | Was $70 Now $21

Amazon Canada: Rocky Heavyweight Collection On Blu Ray | Was $70 Now $21

Yo, Adrian, I did it – I found a great deal! The countdown to Black Friday continues on Amazon, since they currently have a really appealing discount on their Rocky Heavyweight Collection on Blu-Ray today, and it’s sure to make any fans of these action-packed Sylvestor Stallone classics very happy – especially if it’s a gift during the holiday season! This set of Rocky movies normally sells for $69.99, but you can now purchase the Rocky Heavyweight Collection on Blu-Ray for just $20.49 (plus $1.99 shipping). If you spend a minimum of $25 on Amazon, you’ll qualify for free shipping. Quantities are limited, so you’ll want to act fast and get this set as soon as you can!

The Rocky Heavyweight Collection on Blu-Ray is quite the set – it includes all 6 Rocky movies on Blu-Ray, and an extra disc that’s packed with special features. So you’re getting 7 Blu-Ray discs in total for $20.49! Plus, how could you not love the Rocky movies? Sure, many may think that they’re cheesy, but some entries in this series are really good – especially the first Rocky and Rocky Balboa (the 6th movie that was released in 2006).

Personally, even though most people that didn’t view it as a child won’t enjoy it as much as those who did, I really loved Rocky III (they loved using Roman numerals to promote the Rocky movies). With Mr. T playing Clubber Lang and Hulk Hogan making an appearance as Thunderlips, it was a really fun action movie to watch! It was actually the first Rocky movie I’ve ever watched, and I still love the elaborate boxing scenes in that movie.

This Rocky Heavyweight Collection on Blu-Ray is currently on sale at WalMart for $30. I’ve included a brief review of this set from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

Excellent box set – love the movies, and love the packaging. I would suggest this box set as a gift any day.

If you want to pick up a great gift that’s affordable and fun, then you should consider getting this set. You can check out the other Amazon Black Friday deals by clicking here. Check out our Black Friday dashboard to see other deals as they arrive! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Cineplex Canada: Get 2 Free Cineplex Movie Tickets ($26 Value) When You Spend $29.99+ On Blu-Rays Or DVDs

Posted by on November 8, 2014 at 10:30 AM

Cineplex Canada: Get 2 Free Cineplex Movie Tickets ($26 Value) When You Spend $29.99+ On Blu Rays Or DVDs

Good morning, Moosers! I thought I’d bring this deal from Cineplex to your attention. Essentially, when you spend $19.99 on a home movie (digital) you’ll get 1 free Cineplex movie pass (a $12.99 value). What makes this deal appealing to me is the second option that you have for this deal: when you spend $29.99+ on DVDs or Blu-Rays, you’ll get 2 free Cineplex movie tickets ( a $26 value). Now that’s one heck of a deal! There are many great titles to choose from on the Cineplex website, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on DVD (pre-order for $29.99) and 3D Blu-Ray (pre-order for $41.99), and Guardians Of The Galaxy (pre-order for $31.99 on 3D Blu-Ray). Plus, you’ll also get free shipping! Now that’s one worthy deal!

I literally just bought something from the Cineplex store because of this hot promotion! I pre-ordered Guardians Of The Galaxy on 3D Blu-Ray, and those 2 free Cineplex movie tickets automatically showed up in my cart. Since I love 3D Blu-Rays (and they usually sell for premium prices when they’re Disney or Marvel titles), this is a great deal. Also, what’s great is that this promotion will be active until December 22nd, so it won’t disappear right away.

Some of the more popular titles may not be in stock for very long, either, so I recommend that you browse the Cineplex website and look for some DVDs or Blu-Rays that you’d like to own. With 2 free movie tickets that you could use at any Cineplex location, you really can’t go wrong with this deal!

The Guardians Of The Galaxy 3D Blu-Ray combo pack currently sells for the same price at Best Buy and Future Shop ($31.99). I’ve included a brief review of the movie from Rotten Tomatoes below:

Guardians of the Galaxy is just as irreverent as fans of the frequently zany Marvel comic would expect — as well as funny, thrilling, full of heart, and packed with visual splendour.

Here’s to a great weekend – take care, Bargainmoosers!

WalMart Canada: Die Hard 25th Anniversary Collection On Blu-Ray | Was $70 Now $20

Posted by on October 30, 2014 at 8:30 AM

WalMart Canada: Die Hard 25th Anniversary Collection On Blu Ray | Was $70 Now $20

Yippee-ki yay! You can’t help but root for John McClane, the hard-nosed and sharp-tongued NYC detective that originally found himself in a situation where he had to save a bunch of hostages when he only planned to visit a Christmas party with his ex-wife. Them’s the breaks, eh John? WalMart is currently having a sweet sale on the Die Hard 25th Anniversary Collection on Blu-Ray, where you’ll get 4 Die Hard movies: Die Hard, Die Hard 2, Die Hard With A Vengeance, and Live Free Or Die Hard. Normally $69.99, you can now purchase this set for only $19.87 and you’ll also get free shipping. This is one great deal for a Blu-Ray set!

I’ve always had an affinity for the Die Hard movies. They’re fun action flicks, they have some comedy due to the quick-witted John McClaine character, and they’re always entertaining. If you need something to watch one weekend, you should really consider picking up these movies. I actually used to own a Die Hard arcade machine (it was a pretty decent game, but I got it more for the novelty than for the actual game play), so it’s safe to say that I was a huge Die Hard fan when I was younger.

Although this set doesn’t include A Good Day To Die Hard, the latest 2013 instalment in the Die Hard series, this is still one heck of a deal.

If you went to Best Buy in America to buy this Die Hard 25th Anniversary Collection On Blu-Ray, it would cost you $44.99 US. I’ve included an entertaining review of this box set from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

I mean honestly, who doesn’t like the Die Hard series!? Even ladies like it, so why bother asking yourself “should I buy it,” and just buy it, it’ll be used for sure, and it never goes out of interest. Plus, the sound of it all is outstanding, the explosions and gun shots and yelling is all crystal clear and gives such an immense feeling of joy. It was a no brainer in the end.

This may not last for very long (quantities are limited), so check out this deal now. Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Amazon Canada: American Horror Story Season 1 Only $18

Posted by on October 28, 2014 at 3:00 PM

Amazon Canada: American Horror Story Season 1 Only $18

Amazon has some spooky deals going on for Halloween and selling some of their scarier titles on DVD and Blu-Ray at a significant reduction. One that I found that I needed to tell you about is the first season of American Horror Story. It is now only $17.99, with a regular price of $40.08.

If you haven’t heard of American Horror Story, you are in for a treat. I happened to hear about it on a site that listed all the shows you need to binge watch, so I did just that and binge watched the first season. What an incredible series! I have only recently found out that each season is a different story, so I’m sad to say goodbye to the characters I came to love in the first season. This means that each season is sort of like a little continuing movie that lasts a number of hours.

Basically, the first season is about a family who moves into a home that has been haunted by ghosts. You’ll question who is and isn’t a ghost all the way through the series, but you’ll definitely be scared and thrilled while watching this show. Jessica Lange plays an absolutely fantastic portrayal of a jilted and a bit psychotic next door neighbour, but you’ll still love her anyway.

I priced compared season one and found it for $34.99 at Best Buy and $39.97 at Walmart so you are essentially getting it for half the price.

There are a few other shows and movies available in the horror genre on Amazon for great deals like the second season of American Horror Story, which I need to see, and is now $23.99, regularly $49.98. The Omen Collection looks way too scary, but the price is not at only $17.49, with a regular price of $54.98.

Shipping is free when you spend over $25, so I wouldn’t hesitate to get both seasons one and two, because I know you’ll love it and want to pop in the next season as soon as the first ends.

Amazon Canada: 30% Off Sherlock Limited Edition Gift Set – $150

Posted by on October 27, 2014 at 7:30 PM

Amazon Canada: 30% Off Sherlock Limited Edition Gift Set $150

Amazon Canada is offering 30% off the pre-order for Sherlock: The Complete Seasons 1 to 3 Limited Edition Gift Set [Blu-ray + DVD]. Originally $222, the set has now been reduced to $149.99.

First things first: I have been watching this set for months now and it has not been at the ‘original retail price’ on Amazon Canada. However, it has been hovering around $178 most the time. I first found out about this set even being in existence on the BBC Canada. They have the set currently priced at $197.98 and it has been at that price constantly – I have been watching.

This price is the absolute BEST price you will see on the set and I have only seen it at this price once before. That is when I first found out about the product. I was debating pre-ordering it to have the price change less than 12-hours after I found the set. Amazon Canada changes their product prices often, at different times of the day, and for no apparent reason at all. If you want this at a good price then order it when you see this post!

Here is what is included:

  • Blu-Ray and DVD combos of all three current seasons of Sherlock
  • A bonus disk with tons of amazing, juicy, never before seen material
  • Limited edition collectible busts of Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and John Watson (Martin Freeman)
  • Two limited edition collectible Art Cards

I am getting chills just thinking about this set. The busts are remarkable renditions of the two actors as the characters of Sherlock and Watson.

I am a HUGE fan of Sherlock Holmes. I am talking the character created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, not just the interpretation brought to us by Benedict Cumberbatch. I have read all the short stories several times. I own all the short stories. I have watched most of the TV episodes I could get with Jeremy Brett staring as Sherlock. I am not fond of Basil Rathbone, but he is tolerable. Benedict does an outstanding job and I would be more than pleased to own this set.

The set is actually reasonable priced. Given the price of buying just the Blu-Rays of each season separately, you would be paying at least $105 to $110 for all three seasons. With this set, you get two busts, art prints, and a disk with juicy bonus features for about $45 to $50 extra. *SQUEAL*

All orders of $25 or more ship from free from Amazon. This product will be released on the 4th of November 2014.

Amazon Canada: Bond 50 The Complete 23-Film Collection (Blu-ray) 63% Off

Posted by on October 26, 2014 at 12:18 PM

Amazon Canada: Bond 50 The Complete 23 Film Collection (Blu ray) 63% Off

Amazon Canada has come out with a really amazing deal just in time for some Christmas shopping.  You can get the complete Bond collection including all 23 films on Blu-ray for 63% off the regular price for a limited time only.

The regular price of this collection is $299.99 and it is now on sale for just $109.99.  This deal will save you $190 or 63% off the regular price. If you figure out what the cost is per movie, it ends up being just $4.78 a movie and they are all Blu-ray.

The last time they had this awesome deal, it was way back in December almost a year ago and it was for just one day only.  My husband begged me to grab it but I was just a little too late because they were all sold out.  I cannot wait to surprise him this time with it!

This collection includes every actor ever to play the bond role.  My favourite would have to be Daniel Craig because he was far more raw and gritty than the rest of them but I know some people that would disagree with me. A lot of people including my husband would say their favourite Bond man would have to be either Roger Moore or Sean Connery.

This collection gets  4.5 star rating out of 5 and has a lot of comments since that rating came from 100 different people.  Here is one of those comments.

This set is incredible! I have the complete collection of all Bond movies on VHS but recently changed to Blue Ray DVD to keep up with the Smart TV’s. Worth every penny! – Sue

It is always nice to see such great reviews and high ratings on something you are purchasing.

All of these Blu-ray movies are wide screen and this box set includes over 120 hours of extras, including in-depth, behind-the-scenes interviews, cast and crew commentaries and more for each film. This is the perfect movie collection for any Bond lover for a great Christmas gift.

At less than just $5 a movie for the box set and all of the extra features, this is a steal of a deal at 63% off.

As a nice little bonus, you will get free shipping on this collection as well.

Amazon Canada: Looney Tunes Platinum Collection Volume 2 On Blu Ray | Was $44 now $19

Good morning, Bargainmoose readers! Today’s deal on Amazon is for the Looney Tunes Platinum Collection Volume 2 on Blu-Ray, and it’s a good one! We’ve recently seen Volume 1 on sale at Amazon (and it still is), but this is the first time that I’ve ever seen a substantial sale on Volume 2. Normally $43.98 on Amazon, you can now purchase the Looney Tunes Platinum Collection Volume 2 on Blu-Ray for $18.99 (plus $1.99 shipping). Now that’s a great price for 3 Blu-Ray discs packed with classic Looney Tunes cartoons!

The Looney Tunes Platinum Collection Volume 2 on Blu-Ray is a great set that features plenty of these classic Warner Brothers cartoons, including characters such as Bugs Bunny, Sylvester & Tweety, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, and many others. What’s especially intriguing about the Blu-Ray version of this set is the extra Tex Avery cartoons that are included, which have been highly coveted for many years.

If you’re looking for something relaxing and nostalgic that you can play in the background when you’re busy around the house, or if you want to unwind and relax on a Sunday afternoon with something familiar, then you should consider picking up this set. I also recommend that you get The Looney Tunes Platinum Collection Volume 1, especially if you’ve ever enjoyed these cartoons when you were younger. They have aged quite well, and are still entertaining!

If you purchased the Looney Tunes Platinum Collection Volume 2 at Best Buy in America, it would cost you $42.99 US. It’s getting hard to find this set on Blu-Ray nowadays (it’s not currently listed on Future Shop, Best Buy, or WalMart). I’ve included a brief review of this Blu-Ray set from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

Watching these cartoons on a 72″ screen, fully restored in Blu-Ray is a real treat. The picture is nice and clean, the colours are vibrant.

I hope you all have a great day today!

Just in time for Halloween, it’s the Alien movie collection on Blu-Ray for an incredible price! Today on Amazon, you can purchase the Alien Anthology on Blu-Ray for just $17.49 (plus $1.99 shipping). This Blu-Ray set normally retails for $69.99! You just can’t beat this price for this set. If you haven’t seen the Alien movies before, you owe it to yourself to check them out at least once – and you can do that by purchasing this set from Amazon.

The Alien Anthology on Blu-Ray contains 9 discs in total, and 4 Alien movies in total (8 different versions of the films in total are included in this set). With dozens of hours of archival footage and special features included, this would be a wonderful gift for fans of the Alien movies!

I remember watching Alien 3 when I was a kid, and that was quite the thriller! I remember wanting to see it because of the mass marketing of the movie that was going on at the time (1992, 1993) – heck, they even had a successful toy line available! That’s what lured me in. I also played the Alien 3 video game for the Super Nintendo (it was mediocre, but kind of fun for the time), so I wanted to check out the movie.

Those Aliens were definitely a lot more sinister looking in the movie than they were in the video games and the toys, that’s for sure! It was an exciting movie that I remembered for years, and when I was a teen, I watched the original Alien movies (Alien and Aliens), and they were mostly great… mostly (sorry Bargainmoosers, I had a need to include that terrible reference).

If you purchase this Alien Anthology on Blu-Ray set at Future Shop, it will cost you $44.99, and it’s $45 at WalMart (and out of stock). Listed below is a brief review of this Alien Anthology on Blu-Ray set from a satisfied Amazon customer:

The four films are better looking than ever on blu-ray. The special features are more in-depth than they’ve ever been. I particularly like the making of “Alien 3″ documentary, with all the restored footage of David Fincher’s issues with the studio, and learning all about the original screenplay that almost was (and would’ve been far better in my opinion). A true gift for fans of the series.

I hope you all enjoy your Tuesday, Bargainmoosers!
