June 9 The Walking Dead Seasons 1-3 Blu-Ray Box Set + FREE T-Shirt – Now $40 & Free Shipping (Lowest Price Ever!) *BUMP!*

Posted by on June 9, 2015 at 1:00 AM The Walking Dead Seasons 1 3 Blu Ray Box Set + FREE T Shirt Now $40 & Free Shipping (Lowest Price Ever!) *BUMP!*

UPDATE: I wrote about this deal a couple of weeks ago but it’s now even cheaper! Right now, you can get The Walking Dead Seasons 1-3 for just $39.99, which is $6 less than what it was before and is essentially a 75% discount from its original price. Get it while you can!

Have you been meaning to find out what exactly all the hype is surrounding The Walking Dead show? Here’s your chance: right now at Amazon, you can get a seasons 1-3 Blu-Ray box set of this incredible show on sale for just $45.99. That’s a 71% price drop from its regular price of $159.99! It will also be shipped absolutely free.

Amazon’s $114 price drop on this box set is actually the lowest we have ever seen and as much as I’m sure many of you are tempted to download this series, it would be much better to just buy it on sale right now, especially since it’s in Blu-Ray!

For those of you who speak French or prefer to watch shows in French, then you will be happy to know that this box set is bilingual.

Reviews are stellar of course, like this one from a 5/5 happy reviewer:

OMG! Love this show, got it 2 days after I purchased on Amazon. Plus the T-Shirt was a bonus! It was cheaper on Amazon to buy the three seasons together vs separately. I am very happy with my purchase! The Walking Dead Seasons 1 3 Blu Ray Box Set + FREE T Shirt Now $40 & Free Shipping (Lowest Price Ever!) *BUMP!*

The extra t-shirt is definitely a nice freebie but keep in mind that you can’t choose the size. According to reviews, it comes in a standard XL size, so if that’s yours or your hubby’s size, then awesome! Otherwise, you could try one of Kristy’s 8 Hacks To Refashion Your Clothes For Spring. The lace insert could be the best suited for The Walking Dead shirt and as for the size, you could try making it smaller with one of the many tutorials available online like this one from BurdaStyle.

In case you have somehow never heard of The Walking Dead or you have but you just don’t know anything about it, this shows is basically all about zombies. The story follows Rick Grimes, a Sheriff’s deputy who awakens from a month-long coma after a run-in with criminals. Upon waking, he discovers that the world is now overrun with zombies and he must do everything to survive as he searches for his missing wife and son. There is of course much more to it, but you will just have to watch it to find out all of the twists and turns.

Amazon Canada: Buy 3+ DVD & Blu-Ray Boxsets & Get Another $8 Off

Amazon Canada: Buy 3+ DVD & Blu Ray Boxsets & Get Another $8 Off

While summer doesn’t usually mean movie marathons, now might be a good time to stock up on DVDs and Blu-Rays to have on hand for rainy days at the cottage or those long road trips. Amazon always has great deals on boxsets already, but if you buy three or more, you’ll be rewarded with an extra $8 off at checkout on select boxsets.

There are some pretty cool sets available for purchase with this deal. There is something for everyone – men, women and kids – but you might want to get Dad his favourite boxset as a Father’s Day gift. I know my husband always appreciates cool movies and that would be the perfect gift for him.

While I’m no longer a fan of scary movies, I still can’t get that scene out of my head where Sigourney Weaver gives birth to that alien. A number 1 seller at Amazon, the Alien Quadriology is perfect for a long day of getting freaked out. Regularly $49.99, it is on sale for $19.97. While that price is what it sells for at Walmart and Best Buy, if you decide to buy three or two other sets, you’ll get that extra $8 off.

Another epic set would be the Rocky Heavyweight collection, which features Rocky 1 through 5 plus some bonus discs. Regularly $69.99, it is on sale for $18.49. This time, Amazon’s sale price beats out the competitors, with Walmart selling it for $30.

Now, this boxset is one I can definitely get behind. With Michael Douglas starring in Romancing the Stone and Jewel of the Nile, this set is a must watch! I loved these movies as a kid and I bet I would still love them now. This set would definitely do well to replace those old VHS tapes you have around with these movies on them. Regularly $21.99, Amazon sells it for $8.25.

If you bought all three boxsets, you’d pretty much get that last set free. You’d also get free shipping on top, as you’ll definitely be spending over $25. There are tons of other boxsets to choose from though, so don’t feel confined to my choices. You have to go right to the end of checkout to see your discount, it won’t show up in the cart.

Amazon Canada: The Bourne Trilogy Was $58 | Now $18 (FS @ $25)

Posted by on May 30, 2015 at 9:45 AM

Amazon Canada: The Bourne Trilogy Was $58 | Now $18 (FS @ $25)

I was hoping for a beautiful, sunny weekend, but I don’t think it is in the cards. I see the dark clouds moving, the trees wavering from side to side, plus the Weather Network tells me there is a 90% chance of thunderstorms and that it will only be a high of 8 degrees tomorrow! Those are some good indicators of a weekend spent inside. While I will probably do some cleaning, we will probably relax with a few movies. I wish I had this Bourne Trilogy set from Amazon now, but I’ll get it and have it for the next weekend that’s not great weather. Regularly $57.99, it is on sale for $17.99.

The last time we blogged this set on sale was in 2012 and it was 57% off. It is now 69% off. While I didn’t find it at other stores with quite as high of a regular price, this price blows all of the other stores that sell it out of the water.

If you don’t know the Bourne series, what rock are you hiding under from Matt Damon? While this type of action adventure is not usually my cup of tea, I have two words: Matt Damon. That man is not just eye candy, he is talented eye candy and the movies really do have a cool storyline that excites men and women alike. I think I’m going to buy this set for my hubby as a Father’s Day gift, as he loves to lay in bed and watch a day full of movies (when he can!).

As Amazon states, these movies are non-stop action and I would agree. So would the 78 other reviewers who gave it a five-star rating. Or the other 14 reviewers who don’t like to give anything full perfection and rated it a solid 4 stars. There are only 3 other reviewers who gave it a 1, 2, and 3 star review. Those people are just negative nancys.

This is the blu-ray version and reviewers say the quality is quite amazing and that is the only way you want to watch a movie like this.

Just to give you a few comparisons on price: Walmart sells this for $22.97, but you’ll have to get your cart up to $50 to get free shipping and Best Buy sells it for $44.99.

Shipping is free once you’ve got to $25, so you might want to find a few add-ons to get your total up there.

Amazon Canada: 75% Off The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 Blu-Ray + DVD + Digital Copy – Now $10

Posted by on May 23, 2015 at 6:17 PM

Amazon Canada: 75% Off The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1 Blu Ray + DVD + Digital Copy Now $10

Did you miss seeing the first part of The Hunger Games Mockingkay movie? Then make sure to grab it at Amazon because it’s currently 75% off and includes a copy of the movie in all of the following formats: Blu-Ray, DVD and even a digital version. Originally priced at $39.99, it’s now down to just $9.99.

Admittedly, the first part of the Mockingjay movies only got up to 6.8/10 in terms of rating on IMDB with numerous reviews stating how disappointed they were in the movie. Personally, I rather loved it and I can be pretty harsh in my reviews as well! It’s a 2-hour movie that will definitely keep you on your toes the entire time but it does definitely help to have watched the previous movies in order to understand what’s going on. It’s not necessary per se, but it does help to situate you and understand some of the jabs.

In a way I can understand the why some reviewers found this movie disappointing but in another way, it makes total sense. Having watched the previous movies and read all of the books, it makes sense that the part one of the Mockingjay series would be setting up the part that is to follow. We would need to wait and see for the second part to hit theatres but I would expect it to be very grandiose with loads of banging action scenes, given that the first part is slower and quieter.

Shipping is only free on orders over $25, so you would need to another filler item. I had a look around in the TV shows and movies currently on sale for 70% off or more and found plenty of great picks like:

If you haven’t see it yet, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies is also currently on sale for just $9.99, which is 75% off its original price of $39.99. Reviews for this one are far more favourable as well with a total rating of 4.5/5 stars and 166 reviews in total.

Disney Studio Ghibli Blu-Ray Movies $20 & Under @

Posted by on May 10, 2015 at 10:25 AM

Disney Studio Ghibli Blu Ray Movies $20 & Under @

Studio Ghibli is one of my favourite movie studios and Disney is the one who brings them to us in North America. These movies are animated heartfelt children’s movies that really resonate with adults as well. Studio Ghibli rarely goes on sale (and the movies are expensive) so I am happy to bring you Amazon Canada’s Studio Ghibli sale with Blu-Ray movies under $20.

Amazon Canada’s prices are all better than Best Buy’s prices. Walmart Canada does match on a few of the Blu-Ray movies, but Amazon has a lower shipping minimum now so it is a better deal through them. Besides, Amazon Canada also has a better selection on sale.

I already own My Neighbor Totoro, The Secret World of Arrietty, and Ponyo. Each of these movies is on sale from $26.50 down to $19.96 (Ponyo is $20). My absolute favourite of the three has to be Totoro. I watch that movie any time I am feeling down, feeling sick, or just need a bit of comfort movie time. Next to my Pink Panther Collection and my Scooby-Doo collection, My Neighbor Totoro is probably my most watched disk. I also really like Ponyo, and alternate between the two. I am currently watching The Secret World of Arrietty, but I am not as attached to it as the other two.

Best Buy Sells each of these disks for $24.99 (does not have Ponyo) and Walmart, as mentioned above, does match the price for My Neighbor Totoro and Arrietty but is out of stock in Ponyo.

I have also seen Castle in the Sky, which was $26.50 and is now $19.96. I own a DVD collection of Studio Ghibli and this was one of the first movies I watched. I really enjoy this movie and would chalk it up as one of my favourites. It was made the year I was born!

There are several other titles that I have not seen before that are also on sale:

Nausicaa is sold out at Best Buy ($24.99) and costs $31.93 at Walmart! I have wanted to see this movie for a while.

You may notice a few other titles through the main link above that are not Studio Ghibli, but they also look like amazing animated movies. Two of them are on my wish list as well as, under $20; they are quite affordable Blu-Ray movies.

Shipping is free on $25 or more.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Trilogy On Blu-Ray Was $77 | Now $24.49 (FS @ $25+) @ Amazon Canada

Posted by on April 28, 2015 at 4:08 PM

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Trilogy On Blu Ray Was $77 | Now $24.49 (FS @ $25+) @ Amazon Canada

Here is a great way to spend the next rainy weekend day. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Trilogy extended edition on Blu-ray is on deep discount today on Amazon Canada. This set was $76.99 but is now only $24.49.

If you like crime dramas, mysteries, and fantastic suspenseful movies, you need to own this series created by Stieg Larsson. My friend was really into the books when they first came out on the NY York Times Best Seller List. I remember how excited she was about the movies, and have long had this series on my list to both read and watch. The premise of the story centers around Lisbeth, a computer hacker who teams up with journalist Mikael to unravel a dark family history riddled with secretive acts and murder. This extended edition set also includes both an extra biography about the author, and a documentary about the trilogy. In addition, you will see interviews with all of the cast plus a behind the scenes peek of the fight scene in The Girl Who Plays With Fire.

There is no better time to catch up with this series even if you have seen it before. It was announced that in August a sequel will be released to this trilogy, and a glimpse of the cover art for the 4th book, The Girl In the Spider Web can be seen on CBC News. Catch up or re-watch so you will be ready by the time the new release one is out. Larsson had originally planned to release an additional seven books in the series but died unexpectedly in 2004 before the books were published. Fans of this series are crying for more and will soon get that sequel though I suspect it will never quite live up to the originals. The new book will be written by a new author and include all new content.

Price Comparison

Over at Chapters Indigo, this same Blu-ray extended edition set is selling for $53.89. There is a used copy selling for about $33 that Chapters Indigo is telling me is rare also. You can find the set at on Blu-ray for $61.59. Most of the other retailers I checked had a spotty selection of Blu-rays for this trilogy. Both Walmart and Best Buy only carried the first of the three films on Blu-ray.

This Blu-ray set is so close to free shipping it almost hurts. The minimum for free super saver shipping is $25 and this item falls $0.50 short. Luckily for you and I, Amazon Canada has an amazing add-on program. If you search add-on you should be able to see all of the items. I would grab this Dawn Dish Soap for only $1 as my bottle is less than halfway full.

If you are still deciding if you should buy these movies, the first movie carries solid positive reviews on IMBD. Grab your copy now before they are gone! I might make an exception to reading the books first at this price. This would be perfect for date night after the kid goes to bed with my other half.

Amazon Canada: Over 70% Off Earth Series DVD & Blu-Rays (EXPIRED)

Posted by on April 22, 2015 at 9:57 AM

Amazon Canada: Over 70% Off Earth Series DVD & Blu Rays (EXPIRED)

Happy Earth Day! To celebrate, Amazon has some fantastic deals on earth-type documentaries and shows, with some of them being over 70% off.

While I’ve only watched a few minutes of some of the Planet Earth series, it has really been on my to-do list to sit down as a family and watch these very important shows. My kids (and I) need to learn about our beautiful earth, so we try to take care of it. I know they would love to see a show such as this, as they love animals and love learning about our world.

The best deal I found during this sale is Planet Earth: The Complete Series (Special Edition) on Blu-ray. It was $99.90 and is now $26.49. With $256 ratings, all of those reviewers can’t be wrong giving it almost five stars. The cheapest I’ve seen it selling elsewhere is $85, which makes this a very kick-butt deal.

The series Life (UK version) looks fascinating as well. Again, this one has a 4.5 star rating. Regularly $74.98 for the DVD version, it is on sale for $29.49. The Blu-ray was $87.48 and is now $24.49. Interesting enough that the blu-ray is cheaper at Amazon, but Walmart sells the DVD for about $70 and the blu-ray version for $94. Again, another priceless deal.

If you like National Geographic, you’ll want to watch The Nature Collection on DVD. This one is $50 off, with a regular price of $69.95 and is on sale for $19.99. Walmart sells this collection for $60, although it is out of stock.

There is a really great selection of videos on DVD and Blu-ray to choose from besides the ones I’ve mentioned. Amazon offers free shipping on orders that are $25+ so you’ll want to ensure your cart is past that total so you don’t pay extra shipping fees. I know I’m going to stock up on a few for those rainy days this summer where we are stuck inside the house or our trailer. At least if we can’t get outside to see nature, we can watch it on our television.

The BBC Natural History Collection On Blu-ray Was $153 | Now $40 & Free Shipping @ Amazon Canada

The BBC Natural History Collection On Blu ray Was $153 | Now $40 & Free Shipping @ Amazon Canada

If you love nature, traveling and seeing the world, you need to check out the BBC Natural History Collection available on blu-ray. This set was $153 but is now only $40 and qualifies for free super saver shipping without any additional purchases. You will save 74%!

Amazon has managed to beat the deal Avigayil blogged about this past November at Best Buy by $15! If you missed it before, you can pick up the amazing BBC Natural History Collection on blu-ray today at a spectacular price. This set includes four stunning documentaries including:

  • Planet Earth
  • Wild China
  • Galapagos
  • Ganges

I have personally seen Planet Earth and Wild China. I loved both of these documentaries. I find one of the best parts is that the shows focus not only on the great animals, plants and diversity of the areas but also on people. Sometimes when you are watching a show like this, it is easy to distance yourself from exotic places that seem far away. By adding the human impact element, BBC has created beautiful documentaries that truly make you consider yourself within the bigger diverse web on earth. The two I have watched were thought provoking and beautiful, and I would watch them repeatedly.

Here is what you will find if you try to buy this series somewhere else.

That Amazon price is looking awesome compared with what else is on the market.

Over on Amazon, reviewers love this series. I see several people mentioning that they are blown away by this series. One person went as far as to note that it was worth buying a home theatre just to watch this beautiful documentary. Fourteen people have rated this collection and it carries a strong five out of five star rating.

If you dig these documentaries, the BBC Natural History Collection 2 is also on sale. This second set was $153.00 but is now on sale for $61.99. Though the discount is not quite as steep, a 59% discount is not too shabby either.

I like to tuck away items like this for just the right celebration. I might keep this series for my husband as a present for Father’s Day. This would also make a lovely Mother’s Day gift or a nice evening in for you and your sweetie. Whatever you choose to do, you need to see this fantastic collection.

Lord of the Rings: Motion Picture Trilogy, Extended Edition, Blu-ray, Was $77 Now $24.99 @!

Posted by on April 4, 2015 at 9:56 AM

Lord of the Rings: Motion Picture Trilogy, Extended Edition, Blu ray, Was $77 Now $24.99 @!

From time to time we’ll find a hot deal on a popular movie series, and it will just be screaming out to be blogged on Bargainmoose! That’s what I feel about this movie deal today – you can get a superb price on The Lord of the Rings: Motion Picture Trilogy Blu-Ray from Originally priced at $76.99, it’s only $24.99 just now!

This particular edition is both the extended edition, and it’s also bi-lingual. So, it’s good for those of you who love The Lord of the Rings, and also the French-speaking moosers.

I think we are all very familiar with’s shipping policies, but I will make a note in here in case you are not. If you have an Amazon Prime account, then shipping on this item would be free to your home. However, if you’ve just got a regular account, you’ll be disappointed to hear that this item falls $0.01 short of getting free shipping! The free shipping minimum on is $25. Why not pop a smaller filler item in your cart to take it over the $25 mark?

The last time we wrote about this deal on was two years ago here, and at that time, the deal was $40. As for prices elsewhere today, most online stores in Canada are selling this DVD set for around the $50 mark, such as at Chapters and Staples. It’s also $24.99 @ – I didn’t even realise that they sold online! However, the Amazon deal is better because of the shipping status – the minimum shipping cost on HMV for a test order to Ontario was coming up at an extra $6.

Needless to say, this is an absolutely fantastic set of movies. I actually own the same editions but on DVD, not on Blu-Ray. Every couple of years, we have a LOTR weekend marathon, watching them all in one go. Lord of the Rings: Motion Picture Trilogy, Extended Edition, Blu ray, Was $77 Now $24.99 @!

Some people will only buy their media on Blu-ray now, as our author Avigayil recently commented. She only buys Blu-Rays! For me, I’m still buying both DVDs and Blu-Rays, depending on which media I can find the best deals. How about you? Do you collect Blu-Rays?

Amazon Canada: Interstellar Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital HD Was $43 | Now $17 (FS @ $25) (EXPIRED)

Posted by on April 1, 2015 at 10:30 AM

Amazon Canada: Interstellar Blu Ray/DVD/Digital HD Was $43 | Now $17 (FS @ $25) (EXPIRED)

A movie that’s been getting a lot of buzz lately is Interstellar with Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain and Michael Caine. Amazon’s got a really great price on it right now, with the combination blu-ray, DVD and digital HD fetching only $17.24, with a regular price of $42.99.

With the ultimate sci-fi story, time on earth is over and man needs to figure out where they’re now going to live. Of course that means in space. A team of explorers take to looking at the stars and planets for a place to bed down mankind. But, it isn’t as simple as pitching a tent and claiming the space “mine”. In the same fashion of Armageddon, the other save the planet movie of one name with a hot aging leading actor, the main character has to decide between leaving his family or saving the world. That’s a tough choice man.

IMDb gives it a total of 8.8 stars, which is quite a good rating for that site. Since this isn’t a movie I wouldn’t typically want to watch, this review from IMDb has me convinced I should pop a bowl of popcorn and try it out:

‘Interstellar’ was incredible. The visuals, the score, the acting, were all amazing. The plot is definitely one of the most original I’ve seen in a while. Most of the critic reviews have said that some bits are a little too unbelievable, but I have to disagree. Yes, there were some parts that were definitely in the “fi” part of sci-fi. But the thing is, ‘Interstellar’ deals with concepts that we know very little about.

Amazon’s price is the best around, trust me, I looked. Best Buy does sell it as its regular price of $24.99, so Amazon’s regular price is a bit inflated. Walmart sells it for $24.96.

In order to get free shipping on this item from Amazon, you’ll have to get your cart up to $25. You could add the movie The Theory of Everything to your cart, which is said to be a must-see as well, with a regular price of $29.99 and now $22.99, which is also lower than the other stores I checked.

(Save 65%) James Dean Ultimate Collector Blu-Ray Edition Was $99 | Now $35 & Free Shipping @ (Expired)

(Save 65%) James Dean Ultimate Collector Blu Ray Edition Was $99 | Now $35 & Free Shipping @ (Expired)

Amazon has a great deal right now on the James Dean Ultimate Collector’s Edition on blu-ray. This set was $99 but you can grab your own copy including all the bonus extras for only $34.99. This item also qualifies for free super saver shipping.

James Dean is an very memorable actor from the 1950’s who tragically only starred in three well known films. His well publicized car accident that led to his immediate death at only 24 years old caused much shock and it only increased his popularity. James Dean is best known for his starring role in the iconic film Rebel Without a Cause. In this film James Dean is a teenager named Jim Stark with a troubled past who moves to a new town.  We follow Jim Stark as he proves himself amongst the kids in town with a bit of sass and bad boy attitude.  That iconic leather jacket, slicked back hair and bad boy swagger only helped cement that both guys and gals wanted to be (or be with!) Jim Stark, the bad boy from the good family.

This memorable set includes all three of Dean’s famous films. You will be able to watch Rebel Without A Cause, East of Eden and Giant all remastered for blu-ray. This set also includes many digital extras. You can watch three full length documentaries about James Dean, his films and his life including James Dean: Sense Memories, James Dean: Forever Young and George Stevens: A Filmmaker’s Journey. There are also seven other available shorter documentaries and featurettes included to give you a more exclusive behind the scenes look at this iconic actor.

If you like collectibles, this set has plenty. You will receive a commemorative book about James Dean  and three movie posters that are mini versions from the original movie posters. Also included are production notes from the films Rebel Without a Cause and East of Eden plus exclusive photos from behind the scenes.

You could pick up this set at Best Buy or Future Shop for $79.99. Walmart has this edition for $80. Archambault has this same set for a whopping $102.99. Your best bet is to pick this up at Amazon today.

There are only three reviews on Amazon. Two are very happy with the purchase, and one who is unhappy with the quality of the blu-ray digital re-mastering techniques. I do find remastering classic films can be tricky. Classic films will never have the same clean crisp images that today’s films have, though blu-ray remastering techniques will improve the image greatly. All three of the reviews are very lengthy and detailed. I have included the shortest review, which also happens to be the review that six Amazon users have marked as helpful.

If you like James Dean, or need a good gift for someone who is a fan now is the time to grab this set. I always have trouble finding gifts for my mom and she loves many of these classic films. I am  considering stashing it away for a surprise gift.

February 22 Sony Wi-Fi 3D 4K Blu-ray Player Now $109 & Free Shipping (Expired)

Posted by on February 22, 2015 at 5:39 PM Sony Wi Fi 3D 4K Blu ray Player Now $109 & Free Shipping (Expired) has discounted the deluxe Sony BDPS6200 4K 3D Blu-Ray Player w/ WiFi from $179.99 down to $109. Use NCIX coupon code ZEROSHIPPING to receive free shipping on the Blu-Ray player as well.

If you are looking for a dedicated Blu-Ray player, then give this fully loaded player your attention. Sony’s Blu-Ray player features a dual-core processor for faster performance. 4K upscaling lets you stream over 200 services and the FULL HD 1080p playback allows 2D to 3D conversion. With Miracast you can mirror your mobile device through the player onto your TV. The player features USB slots so you can view your photos or listen to music through the player as well. You can also stream video, music, and videos with DLNA. Now, if you have other Sony devices, you are in luck. You can “throw” media like music and photos from a Sony Xperia Tablet.

I price compared this unit with other retails, and here is what the competitors are selling the Sony BDPS6200 4K 3D Blu-Ray Player w/ Wi-Fi for:

  • $139.99 @ Future Shop Canada
  • $139.99 @ Best Buy Canada
  • $149.99 @ Sony Store Canada

As you can see, has the best price (though their original price is a bit high). I checked this device out on TrustedReviews where it rates a 9/10. They list the pros as distinctive design, plentiful features, strong pictures, and fast operation. They also mention a few cons, namely plasticky bodywork, no ITV Player or 4OD, and sparse connectivity. They also mentioned a benefit I did not even think about:

One of the main reasons people snap up Blu-ray decks (aside from watching Blu-ray movies) is to take advantage of built-in internet apps, and on that score Sony has long been one of the best in the business.

Sony is certainly one of the forerunners in that game, so this Blu-Ray player looks like a solid investment. With internet connectivity, streaming, 4K, and 3D capabilities – you will certainly have access to all your media in vivid colour with this device.

While the coupon code for free shipping on $50 or more is good until the end of March, I do not know when the Sony Wi-Fi 3D 4K Blu-ray Player will increase in price.

Amazon Canada: Today Only Jurassic Park Ultimate Trilogy Was $42 | Now $22 (FS @ $25) (EXPIRED)

With it being so cold out, I bet you, like me, are locked inside your house wishing for things to do. Well, plan for a weekend of dinosaurs after you buy the Jurassic Park ultimate trilogy at Amazon today, with a regular price of $41.99, it is now down to $21.99.

My oldest son is getting to that age where the kids shows on television just don’t cut it for him. I do see him sneak a peek when my youngest is watching Backyardigans, but generally, he is hungering for something more. I watched Jurassic Park as a kid and while it wasn’t my favourite movie, boys do love seeing dinosaurs running around.

It looks like this version gives you blu-ray and DVD, so if you have either, you are in luck. In this version you’ll get Jurassic Park, The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III. Make a giant bowl of popcorn, get your heated blanket and cuddle up on the couch for a day of Steven Spielberg’s best. I am totally getting this set for my son for the next time I feel like he deserves a gift.

With 114 reviews, almost 100 of them are rated four or five star, with the large majority being a five-star rating.

If you’re a JP fan, this is undoubtedly one of the best investments you’ll ever make. Not only does it include the Collector’s Editions of all three films, but a bonus fourth disc whose material seems to stem from special features that were scrapped for the individual releases.

While shipping is free at Amazon on $25, you’ll fall just a little short of that. I know that Amazon has some add-on items that you could get for another $4 just to get your total up to the amount where you won’t have to pay for shipping. You’d be much better to do that and get a free item, as shipping is about $6 for these discs.

Interestingly enough, Amazon’s regular price of $41.99 is actually low compared to what the competitors price this set at. Check out Best Buy, who sells it for $64.99. Walmart sells it for $59.96.

Amazon Canada: $97 Off Sabrina The Teenage Witch Complete Series Box Set Now $62 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

Moosers, don’t you just miss Salem the Cat? I sure do! If you’re in the mood to re-watch the best TV series of all time (okay, I’m slightly exaggerating on that one), then grab the Sabrina the Teenage Witch Complete Series box set while you still can because it’s currently on sale for $62.49 at Amazon. It was originally priced as high as $159.98, which puts it at a 61% discount. Shipping is also free.

A TV series that first aired in 1996, Sabrina the Teenage Witch is an iconic series of the 90’s starring Melissa Joan Hart, Caroline Rhea, Beth Broderick and many other great actors. Here’s what someone had to say about this series:

This show is a classic. Watched it in the 90’s and ordered it for my daughter, she loves it! Highly recommend for good family fun.

The picture quality seems to be somewhat of a hit or miss with reviewers with some praising it as being clear and others stating the following:

The picture quality however is very grainy and is sometimes so bad it’s kind of distracting. The picture quality is the worst I’v ever seen on a dvd.

But I think it’s important to remember that this show is nearly twenty years old and so some graininess is definitely to be expected!

Browsing around Amazon’s TV show section, I also spotted a deal on the Breaking Bad complete series limited edition 2014 barrel. Originally priced at $299.99, it’s now 38% off and can be yours for just $184.99. During Boxing Day, this box set fell in price to just $120, but since there is no guarantee that it will go back to that price any time soon, I thought I would let you Moosers know of the current price drop.

On top of including all of the seasons, it also comes with a 2-hour documentary, a commemorative challenge coin, a Los Pollos Hermano apron and a “Better Call Saul” matchbook 4GB flash drive. Keep in mind that with regards to the flash drive, it comes with a coupon code to use online to unlock special content but although it’s unavailable to Canada, here’s a great tip from a reviewer to view it anyways:

Using a proxy to disguise my location allowed me to enter the code and see the site. There is a photo gallery of “Better Call Saul” & Breaking Bad props and a 4 minute video showing day one of filming at a skateboard park.

February 8 Deal: Blu-rays $9.99 & Under – Buy 3, Get Extra $10 Discount!

Posted by on February 8, 2015 at 7:00 AM Deal: Blu rays $9.99 & Under Buy 3, Get Extra $10 Discount!

When I was browsing to see what the deals of the day were on today, I spotted a little bit at the bottom called Featured Deals in Movies & TV. One such offer said, “Blu-rays $9.99 & Under – Buy 3, Get $10 Off.” I thought I’d check this out as it seemed like a great offer – and it is!

The above link will take you to the selection of Blu-rays that are applicable in this offer on There are 83 movies or TV shows to choose from, including a variety of different genres; from comedy to drama to sci-fi. Adding any three to your cart will mean you get an instant discount of $10 as you are going through the checkout. Here’s a screenshot of what you should be seeing at the end of checkout: Deal: Blu rays $9.99 & Under Buy 3, Get Extra $10 Discount!

Sadly, the Blu-ray offer isn’t multiplicative – I tested it out to see if you added six items to your cart, if it would give a $20 discount, but that wasn’t the case. It looks like it’s only three per order in this offer.

Titles Available

There are some great titles available in this offer at, some very popular shows. Here’s a quick list of a few that catch my eye:

I cannot price compare each and every one of the 83 items in this sale, I’ll need you to do your due diligence yourself on this one. If there are shows you are interested in, pop them in to and make sure you’re getting the best deal for your bucks. I think that with the additional $10 discount, it WILL work out quite well. Just for an example, say I was to purchase I, Robot for $7, X-Men Origins: Wolverine for $7 and Die Hard for $7. In the end, the final price would be $3.67 per item!

What About Shipping?

Of course, we all know that an order under $25 on will incur additional shipping fees – you only get free shipping when your order totals $25 or more. If you only choose to buy three Blu-rays, your cart won’t be over that $25 minimum so I would recommend buying something else on Amazon to bring your order up to that level. As you can see on a test order above, shipping on these items alone was about $6… definitely worth ordering something else instead.
