Costco Canada: Blendtec Designer Series With Wildside & Mini Twister Jar Was $500 | Now $400 & Free Shipping

Costco’s got a fantastic deal on for all of you who have been waiting for the Blendtec blender to go on sale. Save $100 on the Blendtec Designer Series mode with the Wildside and the mini twister jars. Get it for $399, with a regular price of $499 and of course, it will also ship for free.

I did a bit of research on Blendtec before I wrote this deal, making sure this is the best price out there. We’ve previously blogged about Blendtec, but on the professional series and I wanted to know what the difference was between the two. Apparently both blenders perform pretty much the same, but there have been some great changes added to this model that beat out the professional series.

It has 16 custom blending speeds, which beats out the five or ten speeds of the others. It has touch screen controls, which the other series does not have. You can of course blend almost anything in it, including making soup that you can eat right out of the jar as it warms up in the blender!

The twister jar is a nice new feature that Costco sells with this blender and other retailers do not. It lets you blend the thicker recipes like nut butters and baby food and salad dressings. Sometimes you don’t want to wash a large jar just to make a small serving of salad dressing.

This makes a fabulous Valentine’s gift for the love of your life as you might not splurge on this for yourself, but you would for the person who has always stuck by your side. Plus, you get to take advantage of what they make as well.

Shopping around, Best Buy also has this blender on for $100 off, but they don’t include the mini twister jar. Future Shop is the same. Those are the cheapest prices I’ve seen it, as there are some smaller health stores selling it for upwards of $500. This mini twister jar sells for $129.99, which makes this deal at Costco far superior over the prices at Best Buy and Future Shop.

This very recent review sums it up nicely:

I researched high end blenders for 7 years before finally deciding on the Blendtec Designer model. I tried both this and the Vitamix. I love the pre-set program cycles which I use most of the time. They work great for me, as I startle easily at loud noises and would probably not be able to hold button down long enough to do a good job…this way I just press the button and let the machine grind away! This deal for $399 with the twister jar is the best price I have ever seen and is $80 less than what I paid for the blender alone last year. The wildside jar is sold for $120-$150, so really this is like getting $220-$250 off regular price!

Costco Canada: Blendtec Professional Blender Only $390

Costco Canada: Blendtec Professional Blender Only $390

Costco has a fabulous deal on right now on the Blendtec professional series blender with 0.9L wildside jar. Now only $389.99, you’ll save $100 on this beauty.

I was recently at Costco getting myself a new blender. I wasn’t completely sure I wanted to spend $500 on a blender so went cheap and got a great deal on a Magic Bullet. But, after bringing it home, I kind of wish I would have splurged a little and got this top-of-the-line blender. I make most of my food from scratch and something like this is incredibly useful.

For example, I made a soup for Thanksgiving this weekend and there was no way I could have blended it up in my Magic Bullet and I instead had to use hand beaters. It got it mostly blended, but it took quite a bit of work and there were still a lot of chunks. The Blendtec would have made my soup a smooth puree in seconds.

Not just soups, the Blendtec does wonders with ice cream, juice, bread dough, margaritas, salsas and more. It also has a 7-year warranty, which is quite a long warranty for a small appliance. Even if it didn’t have such a great warranty, Costco has such an amazing return policy anyway.

It looks to me like Costco is one of the only stores in Canada to carry this blender. Amazon carries it from a secondary seller for over $600 and any other store I found was well over $400. Even used on eBay, it sells for over $300. These might also have shipping fees on top as well, but Costco ships it to you for free.

If you are on the fence about Blendtec, maybe thinking about the Vitamix, you might want to read these reviews on Amazon called Blendtec vs. Vitamix.

This review sums it up beautifully:

It is so-o-o-o easy to “get every last bit out” because the sides of the blender doesn’t have the unnecessary decorative grooves on the side. It makes a big difference if you’re the type that doesn’t like to waste. I feel that the Vita-Mix and Blendtec are equally noisy, but it does its job so quickly and efficiently that it really isn’t on for very long. It is so efficient and powerful that it doesn’t need a silly tamper to get everything blended well. It fits under my cabinet where I like to keep it and it is just perfect in every way… I just can’t say enough good things about this machine.

I’m considering returning my first blender and getting this one instead.

Costco Canada: BlendTec Total Blender with WideSide and FourSide Jar for Only $380 (Save $80)

Costco Canada: BlendTec Total Blender with WideSide and FourSide Jar for Only $380 (Save $80)

Get a BlendTec for only $379.99 from Costco!

This is a weird deal. Most of the time you see the before price being a lot higher than it actually sells for. The item costs $100 but when it’s on sale, they say it’s $130 before just so the deal looks better. In this case, it looks like Costco’s before price is legit because the before price is even lower than most other places are currently selling this for.

If you’re like me, $379.99 for a blender (even if it is $80 off the original $459.99) is kind of nuts. My blender cost, I dunno, $30? Maybe $40. I don’t know. Whatever it is, it definitely isn’t an almost $400 blender. But there are a lot of you out there for whom a blender of this caliber and quality is a no brainer. For you people, well, you’ve probably already clicked through, bought this and aren’t even reading anymore.

For the people who are on the fence, just check out the BlendTec YouTube page, specifically the “Will It Blend?” videos. You ever want to see a blender take down a pool cue, marbles, three tablets or Christmas? This is you chance.

Shipping is always free from Costco.
