Targus Life Style Backpack Was $74 | Now $25 & Free Shipping @ Dell

Posted by on June 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM

Targus Life Style Backpack Was $74 | Now $25 & Free Shipping @ Dell

Have you just tossed your child’s worn out, weary backpack from this last school year? Perhaps you have noticed that they are outgrowing their current backpack and need a more substantial pack for the coming year. This Targus Life Style Backpack is on sale from $74.99 down to just $24.99 with Dell Canada’s usual free shipping no minimum.

Unusually, this backpack was easy to price compare. it seems many online electronic retailers are selling this backpack. Targus Canada even sells it themselves. Here is a rundown on the prices everywhere else:

  • $28.77 + shipping @
  • $49.99 @
  • $55.42 @ Direct Canada
  • $65.99 @ Newegg Canada
  • $72.11 @ Canada Computers
  • $73.99 @ Targus Canada

There is a wide range of prices, but all of them are double or more Dell Canada’s price except for NCIX. While the deal is quite good, you would need to pay an additional $7.98 for shipping. That brings your total price up to $36.75 before tax.

This is the 15.6″ Targus backpack in grey. It has plenty of pockets to stick your bits and bobs in: cell phone, pencils, erasers, markers, and more. The main compartment comes with a large padded pocket designed to fit up to a 15.6″ laptop. There is a separate pocket for a tablet and a zippered stash pocket as well for any flash drives or other important things.

In addition, the backpack also has extended compartment space for those few extra packages you pick up at the mall. The water bottle holder is easily accessible and placed separate from electronics: you do not want to get those wet.

This backpack is also ergonomically designed to stay comfortable upon your back. I always find this the most important part of a backpack. I really do not care how much can fit into the pack if it is uncomfortable on my shoulders. I used to have a backpack that would pop blood vessels on my shoulders from the ill distributed pressure.

Overall, this is a good looking backpack at a good price. It has all the space and compartments you need, and probably a few you do not. Carry your laptop, tablet, cell phone, water bottle, and more both safely and comfortably.

Check out the rest of the Canada Day electronics sale at Dell Canada.

High Sierra Fatboy Backpacks Were $60 | Now $15 (FS @ $25+) @ Best Buy Canada

Posted by on June 23, 2015 at 8:30 AM

High Sierra Fatboy Backpacks Were $60 | Now $15 (FS @ $25+) @ Best Buy Canada

Ohh backpacks are on deep discount! Checkout the High Sierra Fatboy Backpacks. These packs in several different patterns were $60 and are on clearance today for $19.97. Best Buy Canada has a special promotion right now taking an additional 25% off all backpacks and luggage automatically in the cart, bringing your total to only $14.98.

If you need a new backpack, now is the time to jump. I see multiple different patterns today that are perfect for back to school (did I say that already) should you want to stock up early. The best news is if you still need a backpack for all of your summer adventures, there are some great options for that also. This High Sierra Fatboy Backpack is available in several different colour and pattern options.

  • Black
  • Flower Pop Crimson
  • Green & Black Pattern
  • Pink and Black Rose Pattern

Included with this backpack are several different compartments to help you stay organized. There is a media port with a slot to put your music device, which is handy for kids or adults. Both the back of this pack and the straps have extra cushioning to ensure comfort. I tend to cram a little too much in a backpack so that extra cushioning can help to save me from myself so my back does not ache as much later. There is also a one-year warranty on this pack to ensure it will make it a minimum of one school year, if not more.

Staples Canada is selling this same backpack in many different styles for $37.99. Amazon Canada carries this backpack in black, pink or camo colours for as low as $41.13. carries the similar High Sierra Opie Backpack for $59.99.

Shipping is free at Best Buy Canada if you spend $25 or more, so I recommend throwing something else you’ve been eyeing in your cart to qualify for free shipping. If your order does not meet the minimum of free shipping, you will be charged $4.99 for shipping.

If you are looking for a filler item for your order, I would consider the putting the LeSportsac Rectangular Cosmetic Case in the pattern snappy into my shopping cart. This cute small bag was $24.97 and is on sale for $14.97. With the extra automatic 25% off it is a grand total of only $11.23. LeSportsac makes quality items, so you can be sure this little tote is not going to fall apart. I had a cheapie cosmetics case that recently unravelled in my hotel room, and was left fumbling for something to hold my toiletries. Instead of being stuck searching for a new bag like I was for half my trip, pick up this cute bag instead to hold everything all together.

No one wants to think about back to school shopping yet. A good deal hunter knows though that it is best to strike when the iron is hot regardless of the season. I do not think that neutral coloured black backpack specifically will be around long. These also make a great diaper bag if you are the mom of an active toddler or multiple kids.

Walmart Canada: Backpack Clearance with Backpacks Only $5 (FS @ $50)

Posted by on April 15, 2015 at 11:25 AM

Walmart Canada: Backpack Clearance with Backpacks Only $5 (FS @ $50)

Stock up on backpacks with Walmart’s clearance sale going on. They’ve got backpacks as low as $5, which are mainly for kids, but if your kids are anything like mine, it is about time for a new backpack. In fact, I’ve already replaced two backpacks this year, I’m just waiting for the third. Spending only $5 for a new one feels definitely worth it.

There were backpacks on clearance during this sale for $.50 but they are already long gone. But, the $5 and up backpacks are still available. I also notice that some don’t have a regular/sale price, but they are very cheap, so you might want to check them out too. One example is this Athletic Works backpack, with all colours but black in stock. It is just a basic backpack that really could be used for anything.

This Ninja Turtles backpack with included lunch bag is a serious steal. Regularly $14, it is now on sale for only $7. My youngest son would definitely love to take this to school!

If Monster High is their thing, this backpack with lunch bag is the same kind of steal. Also regularly $14, now on sale for $7.

For the bigger kids, this iFly backpack with included lunch kit and water bottle is perfect. I love the little hearts and they would look good for a little girl or a big one. I like that it comes with so much. Regularly $19, it is only $10.

There are quite a few more, but you might want to check that out for yourself and you’ll probably want to check as soon as possible, as I know these will sell out fairly quickly.

Unfortunately, as we all know, Walmart no longer offers free shipping on every purchase. You’ll now have to spend a minimum of $50 to get your order shipped for free. Otherwise, shipping is about $5, which really reduces your savings. Walmart has so many items on their site, I’m sure you could easily find a few groceries to fill your cart with and get rid of that shipping fee.

WalMart Canada: iFLY 21″ Expert Deluxe Backpack | Was $35 Now $10

Posted by on October 2, 2014 at 10:30 AM

WalMart Canada: iFLY 21 Expert Deluxe Backpack | Was $35 Now $10

Hey Bargainmoosers – I just found another decent clearance deal at WalMart! It’s for an iFLY 21″ Expert Deluxe Backpack, which normally retails for $35. You can now purchase this nice backpack for only $10! If you have a child that hasn’t been very happy with their backpack during the past month, this may be the perfect replacement! You’ll also get free shipping!

This iFLY 21″ Expert Deluxe Backpack has plenty of room, and can also be suitable for adults that need to carry their belongings and documents (or even their laptop) while they’re out and about. With its extra thick mesh padded back, you can comfortably carry this backpack with you wherever you go!

Having a reliable backpack can really be beneficial. After all, can you remember how heavy some of those text books from school were? When you’re lugging those books around after a long day at school, it’s important to have a backpack that can properly support it. Unfortunately, I usually had cheap backpacks that I got from discount stores like BiWay (ahh… sweet memories) back when I was a younger student.

Those backpacks just never lasted – they’d usually last half a year until they started to show heavy signs of wear and tear. This iFLY 21″ Expert Deluxe Backpack looks like it’s ready to carry your belongings without any issues. You can currently find similar iFLY 21″ backpacks at Future Shop and Best Buy for $25.99.

Listed below is a brief review of a similar iFLY 21″ Backpack from a satisfied Future Shop customer:

Its exactly what I needed to go backpacking with only a carry on at hand. It fits all the cabin bag restriction of airlines around the world, especially the budget airlines!

If you need a new backpack, you can’t go wrong for $10. Have a great day, Bargainmoosers!

Walmart Canada: Up to 75% Off Backpacks

Walmart Canada: Up to 75% Off Backpacks

The kids are back to school already in full force which means some of the back to school deals have gotten even better. Walmart Canada has some spectacular deals on backpacks with prices as low as just $5 and up to 75% off.

I am always looking for new backpacks because my kids don’t just use them for back to school. We use them for family swimming afternoons, play dates, picnics in the park, sleep-overs at the grandparents, night-time sport activities and many more things.  My family of four is always on the go and backpacks for different activities keep us all organized.

All of the clearance backpacks will be either $5, $7 or $10 and some of them even include some extras with the back packs.  There are just too many different backpacks to mention all of them, so I thought I would let you know about a few of them for kids and teens instead.

Deals for the Kids

Deals for the Teens

This is just a fraction of the deals you will see in this section. In total, there are 40 backpacks discounted up to 75% off the regular prices. It is pretty great that even at the highest price point of $10, some of the backpacks include a water bottle and a lunch kit as well.

All of these backpacks are sold online and most likely will no longer be in stores for you to get the same deal.  Since backpacks are all one size fits all, there is no need to worry about it not fitting so shopping online for them is perfect.

I plan on grabbing a few of them for my kids for their extracurricular activities and even as a backup to their ones right now.  I can’t tell you how many times I have to buy them a new one mid-year because they just get so much use out of them and I end up paying full price.  I can get another one now and give it to them at a fraction of the regular price it would cost me in a few months.

All of the backpacks will get free shipping no matter how much you spend.

My Cents of Style: Nautical Backpack Only $9

Posted by on September 24, 2014 at 10:00 AM

My Cents of Style: Nautical Backpack Only $9

My Cents of Style has introduced a new deal section called Style Steals. They will feature one hot product on Monday and Wednesday with a significant discount. Today’s deal is on a nautical backpack, which was $45.95, now $8.95. Shipping will cost you $5, and it does ship from the U.S., but you won’t encounter any duties or fees with your total being under $20. Note all prices are USD.

I’m loving this backpack! This is a fairly large backpack that can take you to the beach, on errands as a purse, you could use it as a diaper bag, an overnight bag or even to tote around your groceries. I love the style of it with the nautical stripes and the rope straps that are also adjustable.

You are able to choose from a variety of colours. These are: black, navy blue, red, turquoise, green, pink and purple. I think I want to get two! I love the black and white for a simple style, but the turquoise is very beach-y. There is also a front pocket, where you can put your phone, wallet or other items you’d like to access easily.

It says this bag can’t carry heavy loads, but it looks very durable to me. I will be taking a trip south soon (fingers crossed) and this bag would do perfect to carry my sunscreen, book for the beach and my towel. The black and white is also unisex enough for my husband to carry his own items in.

Of course I also had to peruse what other deals are available on site and found these colourful print sunglasses that are on clearance for only $5.95. I could get the bag and the sunglasses and still be under the amount for duty and only pay that one shipping fee. I just don’t know what style to choose as they are all very cute! There are quite a few low-priced clearance items if you were also interested.

WalMart Canada: Kodiak 15.6″ Laptop Backpack Was $29 | Now $10 (Expired)

Posted by on September 11, 2014 at 12:00 PM

WalMart Canada: Kodiak 15.6 Laptop Backpack Was $29 | Now $10 (Expired)

WalMart has an enticing offer for those that are looking for a comfortable and safe way to travel with their laptop computer. For a limited time, you can get a Kodiak 15.6″ laptop backpack for just $10 – the regular price of this handy laptop backpack is $29 – so you are saving $19! You will also receive free shipping on your order at Walmart. With school back in session, it is the perfect time to take care of your laptop and the perfect time to save some money!

With a reliable laptop backpack, you can safely carry your laptop anywhere you need to go. This is especially useful for students, who tend to be on the go at all times. Whether you are riding on a bus, walking around campus, or heading home after a long day at work, this Kodiak laptop backpack can certainly help you out.

Before having a laptop bag, I used to use a leather sleeve to hold my portable computer. When I would be riding on the subway in Downtown Toronto, it would be a bit of a pain to carry around with me. I essentially looked like I was carrying a giant folder with me, and it wasn’t too comfortable to hold when I had to walk around the city.

I eventually purchased a generic laptop backpack, and it made my laptop that much easier to carry around with me! Best of all, a laptop backpack can provide your portable computer with some much needed cushioning – and you can also fit some other things in there as well!

I couldn’t find any other online locations that were selling the Kodiak laptop backpack, but if you purchase a Swiss Gear 15.6″ laptop backpack at Future Shop, it’ll cost you $39.99 (and it’s on sale, too). Even though no customer reviews are available for the Kodiak 15.6″ laptop backpack, I can say from experience that no matter what the brand is, having a laptop backpack is better than not having one.

Grab one of these laptop backpacks before they are out of stock! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Roots Canada: Save $80 On The Student Pack Tribe

Roots Canada: Save $80 On The Student Pack Tribe

Last week, we told you about a hot sale at Roots, with 40% off sweats. This sale has ended, although you can still get the sweats at 30% off if you did miss that deal. But, I’ve got an even better one for you today. Get 30% off the student pack tribe, with a regular price of $268, you’ll now get it for $187.60.

While you might be thinking that $187 is quite a bit to pay for a pack, this pack is gorgeous and 100% Italian leather. It was made in Canada as well, which I absolutely love. It has a main compartment plus an outer compartment for organizing all your stuff. This bag will only get better with age, as the leather will look more worn and vintage. It already has a vintage styling, which came from hand rubbing the bag.

The straps are adjustable so this one size bag will fit anyone, big or small. If you are looking for a sexy bag that differs from what everyone else is carrying, this is your bag. It will also last you through your years in school and you can pass it down to a sibling, so it is well worth the money.

The price is available only online and will not be matched in the store, so don’t even try it. Plus, why would you, when you have ample opportunity to add to your cart right now, pay with PayPal or a credit card and get it right to your home in a matter of days? Driving to the store is just so 1999.

While there are no reviews for this bag, I did notice that there is a whole Africa line with other gorgeous bags, although none of them are on sale, which is quite unfortunate.

The bag will ship for free, as Roots offers free shipping on all orders over $50.

Back to School Backpack Deals Roundup

Back to School Backpack Deals Roundup

I can’t believe that kids will be heading back to school in just a couple of short weeks. Instead of doing our regular weekly printable coupon roundup this week, I though I would let you know about all of the great back to school backpack deals. Backpacks are an obvious must for students young and old and they are something that usually only last about a year with all of the use they get.

Walmart Canada

One of the first places I check for back to school is always Walmart Canada, not only are they one stop shopping with supplies, lunch food, clothing and shoes, they are also very affordable.  Additionally, when you shop for items at Walmart Canada online, you will get free shipping as well.  You really cant beat that!

Right now, they have backpacks as low as just $5. How cute is this Disney Princess backpack for just $7? I also think this Athletic Works backpack priced at just $5 is a really incredible deal. It comes in a variety of colours to choose from.

Staples Canada

I was actually surprised to see how great the backpack deals are at Staples right now because they are rivaling all of their competitors with some great prices.  Their backpacks start at just $4.98 on sale which even beats Walmarts prices! Staples offers free in-store pick up and free shipping on orders over $45.

I love this High Sierra Impact backpack that was $20 and is now on sale for just $17.  As you are looking through the rest of the deals, you will want to be aware that some of the backpack deals at Staples Canada are only available in stores.

Sears Canada

Sears has a lot of backpacks on sale right now that would suit preschoolers all the way up to college students.  Make sure to check out the individual expiry dates because some of the deals are  only valid this week only.  Some of them are on sale up to September 4th 2014 so you will have to pay attention to the details.

One of my favourite backpack deals that I found at Sears Canada would have to be this Roots girls backpack.  It was $39.99 and it is now on sale until August 21st for just $23.99.

When you are looking at all of the backpack deals, keep in mind that most backpacks will only last your child the one year.  Even if they are great quality and last longer, they will most likely want a new one the next year anyways.  Make sure they are big enough for your kids school supplies, extra clothes and lunches and whatever else they may need to bring to school.

Best Buy Canada: 50% Off Select Backpacks

Posted by on August 13, 2014 at 7:30 PM

Best Buy Canada: 50% Off Select Backpacks

We have found another great back to school offer for you to check out. Best Buy Canada has select backpacks by Sierra and Swiss Gear on sale for 50% off their retail price.

Backpacks range from 14.5 to 19.5 inches in size. I am sure size needed depends on the age of your child and the amount of books and what electronics they are stuffing into it.

This High Sierra 19.5″ Backpack – Flower Pop / Crimson is one of the larger backpacks at 19.5 inches. It includes all the usual things you look for in a backpack including a large interior section with multiple-pocket organizer. The padded mesh shoulder straps and padded back panel will be comfortable for all-day wear or toting uphill, both ways, back and forth to school. The print should win you a few points with reluctant back to school girls. Originally $59.99, the backpack is now on sale for $29.99.

The smallest backpack available is the High Sierra 14.5″ Backpack – Almond / Charcoal / Aquamarine and also available in Purple Razz Mystic / Black. This backpack is not designed to carry a laptop; rather it is designed with a tablet sleeve instead. It has a large interior with a multiple-pocket organizer as well. Originally $69.99, the tablet backpack is now $34.99.

This Swiss Gear 17.3″ Laptop Backpack – Blue/Black is the dream backpack for comfort, organization, and durability. The backpack comes with a laptop compartment, two other main compartments, and multiple smaller pockets for electronics, pencils, and more. The breathable mesh padded back and contoured shoulder straps will help alleviate backpack pressure. This backpack also comes in black if you prefer a simpler colour. Originally $99.99, the Swiss Gear backpack is now only $49.99.

My experience with Swiss gear is very positive. I currently own a piece of their carryon luggage and I used to own a full size piece of their luggage. That luggage was well abused by various airlines, yet it survived! It took the last airline literally tearing the zippers right off the bag for me to pack it in finally. If you are looking for a backpack to outlast your child’s school years, I would give Swiss Gear a try.

No matter which backpack you choose, I suggest picking your pack out soon as this offer ends on Thursday. There are also some backpacks not quite 50% off for sale. Best Buy offers free shipping on orders of $20 or more, so all these backpacks will ship free.

Sportchek Canada: Duffel Bags & Backpacks BOGO 50% Off

Posted by on August 13, 2014 at 12:00 PM

Sportchek Canada: Duffel Bags & Backpacks BOGO 50% Off

Sportchek often has buy one, get one 50% offers and this week it is on duffle bags and packs, which is perfect timing, really. They also have a spend and get event going on, where if you spend $100, you’ll get a $20 gift card for next time or if you spend $250, you’ll get a $50 gift card.

With back to school also comes the start of sports activities, at least in my family anyways. I did have one kid in soccer for a month, but generally, we took the summer off of organized sports. Now with fall approaching, I’m signing my kids up for swimming, karate, trampoline school and maybe hockey. I’m going to need a bag or bags to carry around all of their gear. I am also starting back in at the gym, where I plan to start swimming regularly. I am also going to need a gear bag for my runners, swimming attire and my clothing for after my shower.

I’m loving this Nike Team Training Max Air small duffel sports bag. My favourite is the grey, but if I got myself that colour, I’d get my husband the green, so we don’t get our gear mixed up. I’m sure my husband wouldn’t want to find my bikini when he’s looking for his runners. The green is $59.99 and the grey is $49.99, but by buying both I’ll pay only $24.99 for my bag instead of $109.98 for both.

Although, this Under Armour studio bag for women is quite sexy and it might be more up my alley. It even includes a removable laundry bag for all my wet gear. This one is a little pricey at $149.99, but if a friend wanted the same one, we could get two for $224.98, saving $75!

There are also a number of backpacks from all the top names like Under Armour, Oakley and Roxy, so check out the large selection.

Shipping is free when you spend over $99, so keep that in mind while doing your shopping.

Chapters Indigo Canada: Buy 3, Get the 4th Free on Backpacks, Lunch Bags & More

Posted by on August 12, 2014 at 3:00 PM

Chapters Indigo Canada: Buy 3, Get the 4th Free on Backpacks, Lunch Bags & More

Chapters Indigo has a BOGO deal going where if you buy any three products from the Crocodile Creek back to school line, you’ll get the fourth product free.

Before you go too far reading this post, I’ll let you know that Crocodile Creek is most likely made for the youngest of students. I could see my kindergarten and preschool kids wearing this line, but any older, the backpack is too small and cutesy. I do, however, love it for the little ones. I recently bought my three-year-old a new backpack to school when he starts full time kindergarten in the fall. The backpack, which fit his brothers just fine, was swimming on him and looked ridiculous, plus he probably would have a hard time carrying it. I’ll have to take it back and get him a much smaller pack. I also think he’d love something cutesy and I have to get that in before he grows out of it!

There are four lines available:

  • T-Rex
  • Fairy
  • Butterfly
  • Fire Truck

Within each line there are four items available:

  • backpack
  • water bottle
  • lunch bag
  • sticker book

While the sticker book is obviously the cheapest item in the list, you might want to shop for more than one child or double up on something to get your best value. For example, if you bought all four items from that list in the butterfly pattern, your savings would total $7.95. If instead you bought a backpack and lunch bag in the T-Rex for your son and a backpack and lunch bag in the fairies for your daughter, your savings would now be $14.95. Your best savings would be on four backpacks, which would be a $24.95 savings. So, if you love the backpacks and don’t need anything else, maybe a friend would go in on this deal with you?

Another option is to get four water bottles, which are $9.95 each and you’d pay only $29.85 for four bottles.

Shipping is free on all orders over $25, so as long as you buy four items, your shipping will also be included. Unfortunately, you can’t use the promo code I blogged about yesterday with this deal, as in the cart your items all discount, rather than showing three regular priced items and one free item.
