Lavish & Lime Coupon Code: 30% Discount

Lavish & Lime Coupon Code: 30% Discount

Lavish & Lime Canada has released a coupon code for 30% off all regular priced items in time for back to school shopping.

Click here to shop @ Lavish & Lime now

  • Coupon Code: BACKTOSCHOOL
  • Discount: 30% off regular priced items
  • Expiry: 22nd August 2014

I have been looking for the new flip top or straw cap for the Lifefactory glass water bottles. I already own two of these water bottles with the regular screw caps, but they are somewhat annoying to drink from so the new flip cap would be far better. While Lavish & Lime does not sell the caps separately, you can buy the Glass Water Bottle – flip cap grass green 450ml for $26 retail. Use the coupon code above and the price will drop down to $18.20. These bottles are cool for a couple reasons. They are healthier than plastic because they do not leach chemicals. The Lifefactory bottles also hold up well to dropping.

One of the banes of my kitchen is zip-lock bags. We seem to use a lot of them even though I try hard always to use reusable containers. I hate throwing out plastic bags all the time. This RuMe Reveal Zippered Pocket might be a step in the right direction. I can use it to store everything from cosmetics to food (not at the same time). The bag is made of polyester and washable. It also retails for an affordable $7, which comes down to $4.90 after coupon code.

Would you like the cutest lunch sack ever for your child? This Big Apple Buddies Lunch Sack – doggie is about the cutest thing you can get and will certainly encourage kids to bring their own lunch (and not lose it). Originally $22, pick up the lunch bag for just $15.40.

I am a big fan of tea. Our own tea cupboard is so overflowing with tins and bags of tea that we can barely close it some days. I ran across The Tao of Tea – Honeybush 4oz tin for $12.50 that sounds delicious. I remember plucking honeysuckles when I was a child and nibbling on them because my mind said, with a name like that, they should taste good. This tea is rich in Iron, Potassium, Calcium, Copper, Zinc, Sodium and Vitamin C. After coupon code, pay just $8.75 for 4oz of tea.

Shipping starts at $7 and depends on where you are located.

Get this and other Lavish & Lime coupon codes on the forum.

Roots Canada: Save $80 On The Student Pack Tribe

Roots Canada: Save $80 On The Student Pack Tribe

Last week, we told you about a hot sale at Roots, with 40% off sweats. This sale has ended, although you can still get the sweats at 30% off if you did miss that deal. But, I’ve got an even better one for you today. Get 30% off the student pack tribe, with a regular price of $268, you’ll now get it for $187.60.

While you might be thinking that $187 is quite a bit to pay for a pack, this pack is gorgeous and 100% Italian leather. It was made in Canada as well, which I absolutely love. It has a main compartment plus an outer compartment for organizing all your stuff. This bag will only get better with age, as the leather will look more worn and vintage. It already has a vintage styling, which came from hand rubbing the bag.

The straps are adjustable so this one size bag will fit anyone, big or small. If you are looking for a sexy bag that differs from what everyone else is carrying, this is your bag. It will also last you through your years in school and you can pass it down to a sibling, so it is well worth the money.

The price is available only online and will not be matched in the store, so don’t even try it. Plus, why would you, when you have ample opportunity to add to your cart right now, pay with PayPal or a credit card and get it right to your home in a matter of days? Driving to the store is just so 1999.

While there are no reviews for this bag, I did notice that there is a whole Africa line with other gorgeous bags, although none of them are on sale, which is quite unfortunate.

The bag will ship for free, as Roots offers free shipping on all orders over $50.

Back to School Backpack Deals Roundup

Back to School Backpack Deals Roundup

I can’t believe that kids will be heading back to school in just a couple of short weeks. Instead of doing our regular weekly printable coupon roundup this week, I though I would let you know about all of the great back to school backpack deals. Backpacks are an obvious must for students young and old and they are something that usually only last about a year with all of the use they get.

Walmart Canada

One of the first places I check for back to school is always Walmart Canada, not only are they one stop shopping with supplies, lunch food, clothing and shoes, they are also very affordable.  Additionally, when you shop for items at Walmart Canada online, you will get free shipping as well.  You really cant beat that!

Right now, they have backpacks as low as just $5. How cute is this Disney Princess backpack for just $7? I also think this Athletic Works backpack priced at just $5 is a really incredible deal. It comes in a variety of colours to choose from.

Staples Canada

I was actually surprised to see how great the backpack deals are at Staples right now because they are rivaling all of their competitors with some great prices.  Their backpacks start at just $4.98 on sale which even beats Walmarts prices! Staples offers free in-store pick up and free shipping on orders over $45.

I love this High Sierra Impact backpack that was $20 and is now on sale for just $17.  As you are looking through the rest of the deals, you will want to be aware that some of the backpack deals at Staples Canada are only available in stores.

Sears Canada

Sears has a lot of backpacks on sale right now that would suit preschoolers all the way up to college students.  Make sure to check out the individual expiry dates because some of the deals are  only valid this week only.  Some of them are on sale up to September 4th 2014 so you will have to pay attention to the details.

One of my favourite backpack deals that I found at Sears Canada would have to be this Roots girls backpack.  It was $39.99 and it is now on sale until August 21st for just $23.99.

When you are looking at all of the backpack deals, keep in mind that most backpacks will only last your child the one year.  Even if they are great quality and last longer, they will most likely want a new one the next year anyways.  Make sure they are big enough for your kids school supplies, extra clothes and lunches and whatever else they may need to bring to school.

Walmart Canada: 6-Piece Dinnerware Set Only $10

Posted by on August 16, 2014 at 10:30 AM

Walmart Canada: 6 Piece Dinnerware Set Only $10

Sending someone away to school and don’t want to give them pieces of your dinnerware set? For only $10, you can get a six piece dinnerware set from Walmart and it will land right on your doorstep (or theirs) for free, too.

While this set isn’t on sale, I thought it was a fabulous price and made so much sense for someone going away to college or university. You really don’t want to have more than four plates or two bowls, or they’ll just end up piling up in your sink. Eating for one means that you don’t need a whole set of expensive dishes. You could even invite a friend over for dinner with this set. Heck, you could invite them for breakfast too if you like them that much.

The set comes in white or black. Most chefs will tell you to eat off of white plates as it displays the food best, but if you are eating ramen noodles again, black might be better. These bowls and plates are also highly indestructible. They won’t wear, chip or break, which is also important, since you only have two.

You’ll get two cereal bowls, two dinner plates and two side plates. They are okay in the dishwasher or the microwave too, so don’t worry about reheating that chinese takeout from last night.

If you want the whole set, you can get it for not much more. I found this Mainstays Ivory Square 16-piece dinnerware set for only $17.94, which is on sale from the regular price of $22.97.

Don’t forget about the flatware, like this 48-piece Mainstay set with organizer for only $9.94, with a regular price of $14.97.

Carter’s OshKosh Back To School Sale: $5 Tops & More

Posted by on August 14, 2014 at 5:00 PM

Carters OshKosh Back To School Sale: $5 Tops & More

Carter’s OshKosh is having a big back to school sale with tons of doorcrashers and more great sales. One I found very interested was short and long sleeved tops for only $5, with a regular price of $8 and up.

Kids go through tops like they do underwear – fast and dirty. My kids are constantly spilling, running through mud, using their shirts as a place to wipe their mouths and I just can’t get the stains out, whether the shirt cost $5 or $50. So, I’d much prefer to pay $5 and get them a closet full of tops. I find the tees at Carters OshKosh are quite cute too, with funny sayings that are great for all ages.

I’m thinking I wish they had my size in this Life of the Party long sleeved shirt for girls or this Eat More Cupcakes shirt. Both describe my personality perfectly.

The Halloween Shop is the perfect place to get ready for Halloween, as Carters OshKosh has lots of fun orange and spooky tops. A lot of schools no longer let kids wear their costumes to school, which I think is crap, but anyway, a fun way to still celebrate the holiday is with a Halloween-themed shirt. This fang-tastic top is perfect for October 31st and could keep going the rest of the year.

Other doorcrashers includes $10 jeans, with regular prices starting at $14. There are also a lot of great deals for the babies in your life who won’t be going to school, but want to look cute in Carters OshKosh clothing too.

All leggings are only 2 for $12, which is fantastic, because she could wear them every day of the week and have an extra to spare for less than $50.

Shipping is a flat rate of $8, no matter what you buy, so get as much or as little as you’d like.

Best Buy Canada: 50% Off Select Backpacks

Posted by on August 13, 2014 at 7:30 PM

Best Buy Canada: 50% Off Select Backpacks

We have found another great back to school offer for you to check out. Best Buy Canada has select backpacks by Sierra and Swiss Gear on sale for 50% off their retail price.

Backpacks range from 14.5 to 19.5 inches in size. I am sure size needed depends on the age of your child and the amount of books and what electronics they are stuffing into it.

This High Sierra 19.5″ Backpack – Flower Pop / Crimson is one of the larger backpacks at 19.5 inches. It includes all the usual things you look for in a backpack including a large interior section with multiple-pocket organizer. The padded mesh shoulder straps and padded back panel will be comfortable for all-day wear or toting uphill, both ways, back and forth to school. The print should win you a few points with reluctant back to school girls. Originally $59.99, the backpack is now on sale for $29.99.

The smallest backpack available is the High Sierra 14.5″ Backpack – Almond / Charcoal / Aquamarine and also available in Purple Razz Mystic / Black. This backpack is not designed to carry a laptop; rather it is designed with a tablet sleeve instead. It has a large interior with a multiple-pocket organizer as well. Originally $69.99, the tablet backpack is now $34.99.

This Swiss Gear 17.3″ Laptop Backpack – Blue/Black is the dream backpack for comfort, organization, and durability. The backpack comes with a laptop compartment, two other main compartments, and multiple smaller pockets for electronics, pencils, and more. The breathable mesh padded back and contoured shoulder straps will help alleviate backpack pressure. This backpack also comes in black if you prefer a simpler colour. Originally $99.99, the Swiss Gear backpack is now only $49.99.

My experience with Swiss gear is very positive. I currently own a piece of their carryon luggage and I used to own a full size piece of their luggage. That luggage was well abused by various airlines, yet it survived! It took the last airline literally tearing the zippers right off the bag for me to pack it in finally. If you are looking for a backpack to outlast your child’s school years, I would give Swiss Gear a try.

No matter which backpack you choose, I suggest picking your pack out soon as this offer ends on Thursday. There are also some backpacks not quite 50% off for sale. Best Buy offers free shipping on orders of $20 or more, so all these backpacks will ship free.

Sportchek Canada: Duffel Bags & Backpacks BOGO 50% Off

Posted by on August 13, 2014 at 12:00 PM

Sportchek Canada: Duffel Bags & Backpacks BOGO 50% Off

Sportchek often has buy one, get one 50% offers and this week it is on duffle bags and packs, which is perfect timing, really. They also have a spend and get event going on, where if you spend $100, you’ll get a $20 gift card for next time or if you spend $250, you’ll get a $50 gift card.

With back to school also comes the start of sports activities, at least in my family anyways. I did have one kid in soccer for a month, but generally, we took the summer off of organized sports. Now with fall approaching, I’m signing my kids up for swimming, karate, trampoline school and maybe hockey. I’m going to need a bag or bags to carry around all of their gear. I am also starting back in at the gym, where I plan to start swimming regularly. I am also going to need a gear bag for my runners, swimming attire and my clothing for after my shower.

I’m loving this Nike Team Training Max Air small duffel sports bag. My favourite is the grey, but if I got myself that colour, I’d get my husband the green, so we don’t get our gear mixed up. I’m sure my husband wouldn’t want to find my bikini when he’s looking for his runners. The green is $59.99 and the grey is $49.99, but by buying both I’ll pay only $24.99 for my bag instead of $109.98 for both.

Although, this Under Armour studio bag for women is quite sexy and it might be more up my alley. It even includes a removable laundry bag for all my wet gear. This one is a little pricey at $149.99, but if a friend wanted the same one, we could get two for $224.98, saving $75!

There are also a number of backpacks from all the top names like Under Armour, Oakley and Roxy, so check out the large selection.

Shipping is free when you spend over $99, so keep that in mind while doing your shopping.

Shopping for back to school could be easy. That is, until your kid says they want specific name brands and these name brands only ship from the U.S. So, you might get all flustered wondering what to do, but you don’t have to. All of the stores I’m mentioning all offer free shipping to Canada with no minimum order. But, you may be charged duties as they don’t pick up that tab. From what I know, the general rules are that duty is not charged on orders under $20 and not on items that are made in the U.S., so you might want to keep this in mind. Otherwise, it really is the luck of the draw.

While I was mentioning above it might be the kids wanting these brands, I really had to stop myself from getting these totally sweet DC Anvil V shoes for my youngest son for his classroom. They were $34, but with coupon, come down to $25.50. That is a lot cheaper than the DC shoes I saw while shoe shopping at the shoe store yesterday.

Over on the Roxy site, I found these backyards pants for all the snow you know us Canadians get. Keep her warm and looking good in the Hawaiian ocean colour. These are normally $89.95, but once I added the coupon code, the price came down to $67.46, which is quite the savings.

And at Quiksilver, I found these Distortion slim pants, which I know my boys would wear with pride. I wouldn’t want to pay $49.50 for a pair of size 8 jeans for my oldest, but I would pay $37.13.

It looks like this coupon only works on regular priced items, but that’s ok because there is so much selection at all three stores.

Chapters Indigo Canada: Buy 3, Get the 4th Free on Backpacks, Lunch Bags & More

Chapters Indigo Canada: Buy 3, Get the 4th Free on Backpacks, Lunch Bags & More

Chapters Indigo has a BOGO deal going where if you buy any three products from the Crocodile Creek back to school line, you’ll get the fourth product free.

Before you go too far reading this post, I’ll let you know that Crocodile Creek is most likely made for the youngest of students. I could see my kindergarten and preschool kids wearing this line, but any older, the backpack is too small and cutesy. I do, however, love it for the little ones. I recently bought my three-year-old a new backpack to school when he starts full time kindergarten in the fall. The backpack, which fit his brothers just fine, was swimming on him and looked ridiculous, plus he probably would have a hard time carrying it. I’ll have to take it back and get him a much smaller pack. I also think he’d love something cutesy and I have to get that in before he grows out of it!

There are four lines available:

  • T-Rex
  • Fairy
  • Butterfly
  • Fire Truck

Within each line there are four items available:

  • backpack
  • water bottle
  • lunch bag
  • sticker book

While the sticker book is obviously the cheapest item in the list, you might want to shop for more than one child or double up on something to get your best value. For example, if you bought all four items from that list in the butterfly pattern, your savings would total $7.95. If instead you bought a backpack and lunch bag in the T-Rex for your son and a backpack and lunch bag in the fairies for your daughter, your savings would now be $14.95. Your best savings would be on four backpacks, which would be a $24.95 savings. So, if you love the backpacks and don’t need anything else, maybe a friend would go in on this deal with you?

Another option is to get four water bottles, which are $9.95 each and you’d pay only $29.85 for four bottles.

Shipping is free on all orders over $25, so as long as you buy four items, your shipping will also be included. Unfortunately, you can’t use the promo code I blogged about yesterday with this deal, as in the cart your items all discount, rather than showing three regular priced items and one free item.

Mabel’s Labels Canada Promo Code: 30% Off Shark Labels

Posted by on August 12, 2014 at 2:30 PM

Mabels Labels Canada Promo Code: 30% Off Shark Labels

One very overlooked item in the mad dash to back to school is labels. Don’t forget to get these very important additions to your back to school shopping. In celebration of Shark Week, Mabel’s Labels is offering 30% off all shark-infested labels with promo code.

Click here to shop @ Mabelslabels.com now

  • Coupon Code: JAWS
  • Discount: 30% off
  • Expiry: 16th August 2014

After getting my three boys their backpacks and new school shoes, plus school supplies, I immediately went into my drawer for my labels to label everything. I want nothing lost if I can help it. While I still have a not too bad stock of labels, I still have lunch items and outerwear to label, so I may run short. This deal from Mabel’s Labels might be perfect for me. My boys I love sharks so they won’t mind seeing sharks on their labels.

The shark labels are actually really kind of eye-catching. I like the colours of grey and aqua and blue and there is just that little ferocious shark in addition to whatever title you put on your labels.

I personally like getting a large set of labels, with a little bit of everything. Sometimes you need large ones, sometimes you just want smaller ones. The Big Kaboodle has so much to choose from including 12 shoe labels, which are great because they come with a sort of cover that covers the label so the writing doesn’t rub off with the sweaty feet of your children. Too bad it can’t get rid of stink of their feet after wearing them all day. That whole set is regularly $48, but when you take 30% off by choosing the shark set, you’ll pay only $33.60, with a savings of almost $15.

If your child has an allergy and you need the school to be aware of this, I would definitely label what you can and these allergy alert labels are perfect for that. You can get the little red shark on them, which I think is perfect for this type of alert. These usually sell for $21, but add the coupon and pay only $14.70 for 24 labels.

Shipping is also free on whatever you buy. If sharks aren’t your thing and you want a different design, you could also try our exclusive 5% off coupon for Mabel’s Labels, located in the forum.

Subway Canada: Buy a $25 Cash Card & Get a Free Sub

Subway Canada: Buy a $25 Cash Card & Get a Free Sub

Subway Canada is celebrating back to school with a cool offer giving you a free sub. Buy a $25 cash card and you’ll be awarded with a free 6″ sub.

This deal is good in all sorts of ways. First, if you are a student who might be on a budget and getting all your money upfront (like your OSAP or a lump sum from a parent), you might want to get this so you know you’ll still be able to eat in November. I remember friends in university who had meal plans with a set number of funds eating very little towards the end of the term. In fact, I didn’t have a meal plan as I didn’t live in residence, but I relied on my two OSAP payments to get me through the year and help me with rent and food. I had quite a few dinners of popcorn and oranges around exam time. I even once ate tuna right out of the can before a lecture as my dinner. I really don’t get the freshman 15 as I lost 15 pounds with having little to eat! Subway Canada: Buy a $25 Cash Card & Get a Free Sub

So, if you think this might happen to you, you might want to get yourself a free sub for lunch today while buying your emergency dinner plans. Technically, if you love subs, you could go in each day this week (or until the deal ends) and pick yourself up a card a day and get your lunch or dinner free each day. There is no limit to how many free subs you’ll get. The only downfall is that you can’t get yourself a lobster sub for free. Put those caviar tastes away, you’re a student!

As a parent, I think this deal is also a good one to get for your high school or post-secondary student. You could go in, get yourself some lunch and get them a cash card for their lunches. When my mom gave me lunch money in high school, it usually went to chips, candy or something else that probably wasn’t acceptable as lunch (like beer for Friday night), so if you don’t want your kid spending their lunch money on something other than lunch, a cash card hopefully stops them from doing that. Plus you know that they’ll be eating something a lot healthier than pizza or a hamburger.

Gilt (US): Free Shipping With 2+ Kids Items

Gilt (US): Free Shipping With 2+ Kids Items

Gilt (US) is offering free global shipping when you purchase two or more kids items. The free shipping applies to all items in your cart, whether they are children’s items or not.

This is another great back to school promotion that our Moosers can take advantage of while purchasing clothing and more. This is also back to school week at Gilt with an even greater selection of children’s clothing, accessories, and even some home/school supplies on sale. Here are a few of the sales that tickled my fancy.

K-Way Jackets

These jackets are fantastic and the sale prices make it well worth picking up a few. The Printed Jacket appears fairly basic, but it is totally adorable in multi-colour polka dot. Originally C$68.23, the children’s jacket is now on sale for C$34.12. This little jacket is stylish, a windbreaker, and comes with a hood to protect sensitive ears. Pretty much all the K-Way jackets are 50% off the original retail value. There are some long versions as well for those very blustery days.

La Minatura

I am not sure if a company can get any cuter than this one! Let us start with the adorable Whale Parka  for those chilly Canadian winter mornings. This is the sort of coat that I would have loved when I was a child. Originally C$161.74, the jacket is just C$69.50 now and available in sizes two through 14. The Tulle Tier Skirt  is also so cute with my beloved dots and a couple layers of purple and blue tulle to brighten up the grey skirt. Originally C$59.39, the skirt is now on sale for C$25.20. You can pair it with the matching Tulle Tier Top or mix and match with many of the other tops they have. I would suggest going for a basic top because the skirt is so busy itself.

Be sure to check out the other sales like 7 for All Mankind, Kids’ Bedding & Bath, as well as all the sales for adults.

Remember that all of the above prices include duty so there are no additional costs. When you buy two or more children’s items, there are no shipping charges either. This is why Gilt is one of my favourite designer sale websites in the USA to shop. Shipping usually costs $9.95, so you are saving $10 right away with this offer.

RockPrettyKids Canada: MadPax Only $35

Posted by on August 11, 2014 at 1:30 PM

RockPrettyKids Canada: MadPax Only $35

And with yet another post to help you with your Back to School shopping, I found these uber-cool backpacks at Rock Pretty Kids called MaxPax. They are very unique and I know if I got them for my boys they would love them. They are regularly $50, but on special right now for $35 at Rock Pretty Kids.

So cool:

The bags that are $35 are the bubble packs, which mean they are covered in 3D bubbles, which give it texture and street cred and they are actually the half packs, which are meant for the little ones. It says 4 and younger, but I think any kindergarten age kid would fit this pack just fine. If you want the full size pack, those are on sale too for only $50, with a regular price of $65.

There are a variety of colours including commando, black, orange crush and slurple.

If you don’t like the bubbles, the blox style is also available for $35 for the half pack, regularly $50. There are also really cool pencil cases available too, for $12 with a regular price of $15.

Price comparison:

I couldn’t find these packs at too many places in Canada, although I did once see them for sale for an enormous fee at a specialty store attached to a farm in the Later Gator style, which is not on sale, but still cool enough I needed to mention. I didn’t see the half size anywhere in Canada.

I did find the slurple full size bubble MadPax at Mastermind Toys for $64.95. ShopStyle also had them for $65 and up. If you wanted to venture your shopping to the U.S., it was even more expensive. Nordstrom also carries the full-size but for $73.52 (plus all potential duties and shipping fees).

Shipping:

You’ll get free shipping on all orders over $75, so you might as well suit up all of your kids in MadPax.

Well.ca: 20% Off Litterless Lunch & Backpacks

Well.ca: 20% Off Litterless Lunch & Backpacks

If you are anything like me, you are doing your research on the best prices on backpacks, school supplies and lunch kits. Well.ca is offering 20% off all litterless lunch items and backpacks this week.

I’ve been looking for something recently to replace the Planet Box obsession I have, which would have cost me more than $200 for three lunch kits and I just don’t know if that is worth it. I have been told to look at Goodbyns, which are plastic, but BPA and phthalate free. The Bynto has three containers in one, which fits quite a bit of food. There are multiple reviews for this product and all are five-star, which definitely says a lot about this product. This one is in pink, but there are many other colours. Regularly $12.99, now $10.39.

If you want something a little larger, the Goodbyn Hero contains three compartments plus two dippers. This one regularly sells for $17.99, now $14.39.

If you prefer stainless steel, as I kind of do, you’ll pay more for it, but you can get it on sale at Well.ca. This EcoLunchbox solo cube container was $22.99, now $18.39 and is definitely a step up from plastic lunch bags.

If you send hot food and need an insulated jar, I’m loving this Skip hop insulated food jar in owl. It was $19.99 and now only $15.99.

Water bottles are also an important part of the back to school routine. You want your kids to stay hydrated while at school and juice boxes are just so 1980. I prefer stainless steel for this item too and this Eco Vessel stainless steel water bottle (13oz) is not just cute, it is durable and leak-proof. It even has a removable tea strainer, which means its not just for kids.

Shipping from Well.ca is free when you spend $25 or more. If you are a new customer, you’ll be pleased to get another $10 off your $40 order with Well.ca promo code.

The Source Canada: Ti-83 Plus Graphing Calculator $99.99

The Source Canada: Ti 83 Plus Graphing Calculator $99.99

Just in time for back to school shopping, The Source Canada has discounted the Ti-83 Plus Graphic Scientific Calculator from $149.99 to only $99.99. As the calculator costs over $30, which is The Source’s threshold for free shipping, the calculator will ship free of charge.

I never take a deal at face value (well, rarely), thus I conducted a few price comparisons to make sure this was the best deal. Amazon.ca is selling the Ti-83 Plus for $108.99, Staples Canada is selling the Ti-83 Plus for $124.96, and BestBuy is selling the Ti-83 Plus for $129.99. Therefore, The Source Canada currently has the best deal on this calculator.

It is a funny thing that high schools and universities are still using this calculator, because this is the same calculator I used in high school. Seriously! Now you might be totally thinking ‘old school’ but it also goes to show what a beast this calculator really is. Trust me, you would much rather input your X and your Y coordinates, and all the various other info you have and let this calculator graph it out for you than do it by hand. In geometry and algebra, this calculator was an absolute lifesaver! This graphing calculator:

…handles calculus, engineering, trigonometric, and financial functions and can display graphs and tables on split screen to trace graph while scrolling through table values.

I still own my Ti-83 Plus. It is sitting on the table right now as I finally had to strip out the old batteries (so dead), and am charging up some spare triple AAAs I had lying around. The calculator takes four AAA batteries and they last for many years. It also has a flat battery that resembles a quarter hidden inside the back. This is your backup memory battery, which I have only had to replace once in 12 years (estimating here). This calculator is also super durable with the slipcase. I have no idea how many times I have dropped, sat on, lost, or bashed mine.

My absolute favourite feature of this calculator is the eight line by 16 character display. You can put in an entire equation and see it all on the screen. Thus, if you made a mistake in one input you can find where you went wrong instead of sitting there puzzled or wondering if it is right. I loved this calculator for double-checking my equations.
