Babies R Us Canada: 47% Off Evenflo Exersaucer Triple Fun – Life In The Amazon – (Now $80 | Was $150)

Babies R Us Canada: 47% Off Evenflo Exersaucer Triple Fun Life In The Amazon (Now $80 | Was $150)

Back at the end of May, I wrote about Babies R Us’ $40 reduction of the Evenflo Exersaucer Triple Fun: Life in the Amazon. Even a $40 reduction was a great deal but surprisingly, Babies R Us is now offering an even better deal on it and I doubt that it will ever go down lower than this. Until the end of the week, it’s on sale for $89.97 (reg. $149.99) and you can bring the price even further down by adding the Toys R Us promotion code: EVENFLO10 at checkout to get it for just $79.99 for a total of a 47% discount off its original price.

In my original post, I didn’t even consider getting the Exersauser at its original sale price of $109.99 because I had just purchased the Baby Einstein: Caterpillar Friends play gym, but with Toys R Us’ current deal, I have actually already added it to my basket.

This Exercauser is basically a three-in-one activity set because it comes with a play mat, the exersauser and a table, with all three featuring their own activities. The great part about all of these is that they are meant to encourage your baby to exercise his or her mind and body by figuring out how things work, through sound and most importantly through touch. Age- wise, it’s recommended to use each stage in the following ways:

  • Play mat: newborn to four months
  • Exersaucer: four months to walking
  • Table: walking to 24 months

Of course, these are only guidelines and it really depends on your baby. If your little one can already hold his or her head at three months, then the exersauser could potentially be used earlier. Despite the fact that my little one already has a different play mat and is almost three months old, I can definitely see her enjoying all the stages of this exersaucer as I figure she could benefit from a little variety in music and visuals.

I also really like that this exersaucer can easily be folded away and that it comes with nine toys designed to achieve a vast variety of developmental milestones.

Shipping is also a lot a cheaper than it was when this exersaucer first went on sale. On its own, this product ships for $25 but since it qualifies for free shipping of up to $20 off, then you will only pay $5 to have it delivered straight to your door.

Babies R Us Canada: $60 Off BabyBjorn Baby Carrier Original – Now $70 (+ Free Shipping!)

Posted by on July 5, 2014 at 9:00 PM

Babies R Us Canada: $60 Off BabyBjorn Baby Carrier Original Now $70 (+ Free Shipping!)

Looking for a baby carrier? The BabyBjorn Original baby carrier is now $50 off at Babies R Us at $79.99 (reg. $129.99), but you can use the Toys R Us coupon code: Bjorn10 to save an extra $10 and get it for just $69.97.

Although I don’t have this specific carrier, I do have a similar one, along with the Baby K’Tan sling. Personally, I prefer the sling, but my hubby uses the carrier on a daily basis and I must tell you that not only does he like using it, but my little one loves being inside of it as well. She will go from crying like there is no tomorrow to all of a sudden looking around at the world in amazement as soon as she is placed inside.

It might seem like a lot to pay for a carrier but it’s one of the highest rated ones and it has plenty of positive reviews like this one:

We purchased a different carrier earlier and it was so complicated to set up and strap to myself. I absolutely love this. Its so easy to strap and put the baby in too. It gave great neck support when my LO couldn’t hold his neck up. In addition to using it outdoors, I also use this at home when my little one wants to be carried but I need free hands.

The only con about this carrier is that it doesn’t have the best leg support, and it’s not recommended to keep the baby in it for an extended period of time. Either way, I doubt any parent would be able to keep their baby in there for all that long with the frequent feedings, diaper changes etc.

Two other Baby Bjorn baby carriers are also available at a discount, which are eligible for the coupon code above, but they’re pricier than the original one:

Price comparing this carrier, I found it priced at $129.99 at all of the other major stores. Even better is that no shipping fees will be applied as Toys R Us ships certain items over $25 for free.

Babies R Us Canada: 25% Off Jolly Jumper

Posted by on June 27, 2014 at 2:00 PM

Babies R Us Canada: 25% Off Jolly Jumper

Babies R Us has a great deal on the Jolly Jumper right now. For a limited time, you can save 25% on both the original one and the one with a stand.

Having only recently found out that sitting a baby up too early may not be the best for their spinal development, my initial thought at seeing this jumper was with regards to its impact on posture. Turns out that it’s actually designed to improve balance, coordination and strengthen muscles, all the while providing firm support for the spine.

Here’s the price breakdown for both:

  • Original Jolly Jumper: reg. $49.99 / now $37.47
  • Jolly Jumper on a stand: reg. $79.99 / now $59.97

As my little one is going on three months, I will most probably be getting the one with the stand because there is no doorway in my living room and I would prefer to have her bouncing around in whichever room we’re in. The only issue with the one with the stand is that it’s quite large, according to the reviews, and I envision that I may need to move the coffee table to the side when I place her in the Jolly Jumper. The Original one, on the other hand, attaches to a doorway with a clamp. In either case, your baby will be 100% safe and secure as he or she bounces around, especially as evidenced by the countless reviews online such as this:

LOVE LOVE LOVE this thing. My daughter could spend all day in this if we let her. I love seeing her in as she is so happy and gets so excited. She learned how to bounce really quick and when she gets going fast she puts her legs up and swings in it and laughs and laughs, and she has also learned to dance.

Price comparing both of these jumpers, I found that Babies R Us’ prices are definitely the best ones across the board. In fact, even has the one with the stand for as much as $120!

Although it’s not on speciel, this is cheaper than anywhere else; there is a musical mat available for purchase at $19.99 by the same brand. It comes with three music nodes that activate when the baby touches them.

While shipping is free for the Original Jolly Jumper, it’s $10 for the one with a stand.

Babies R Us Canada: 25% Off Ingenuity inLighten Cradling Swing (Now $142 | Was $190)

Posted by on June 15, 2014 at 9:30 PM

Babies R Us Canada: 25% Off Ingenuity inLighten Cradling Swing (Now $142 | Was $190)

Baby won’t let you put her/him down? Stick ‘em in a swing! The Ingenuity inLighten cradling swing – Emerson 25% off at Toys R Us right now. Instead of its regular price of $189.99, you can get it for just $142.97. Of course, this would also be a great baby shower present or maybe even for all of you lucky ones who are pregnant right now! Babies R Us Canada: 25% Off Ingenuity inLighten Cradling Swing (Now $142 | Was $190)

First, let me start by saying that I have this swing! I actually bought it last week before it went on sale. Now, imagine my surprise when I open this week’s flyer, only to see “my” swing on sale for as much as 25% off! I wasn’t sure if it would work, but I brought my receipt to the exchange department at Toys R Us and was actually refunded the difference between the price I paid and its current price back onto my credit card!

As for the swing itself, all you really need to know is that, yes, my baby loves it. Well perhaps love is too strong of a word right now, but she certainly doesn’t cry when I put her in it. She stares at the rotating hippo in amazement and eventually drifts off to dreamland after about 20 minutes.

It can rock back and forth or side to side and features 6 speeds, 8 melodies and 3 nature sound. Plus, although I haven’t tried it yet, it’s also possible to plug a phone or mp3 player to play your own soundtrack as well (perhaps from a collection of nursery rhymes).

Assembly-wise, it’s not too complicated and only requires one person. Do make sure to connect all the pieces correctly because once it clicks in, it’s pretty hard to separate it (I say this from experience…)

Although shipping is usually free on orders over $25, it doesn’t apply to this swing. However, you will instantly save $10 on shipping fees once you add it to your basket and will pay an estimated cost of only $20 instead of $30.

Babies R Us Canada: $90 Off Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stroller (Now $210 | Was $300)

Posted by on June 8, 2014 at 11:00 PM

Babies R Us Canada: $90 Off Joovy Caboose Ultralight Stroller (Now $210 | Was $300)

Babies R Us  has a great deal right now on the Joovy Caboose ultralight stroller. Get it for just $209.97 instead of its regular price of $299.99. That’s a $90 discount, which comes up to 30% off!

I have to admit that when I was shopping for a stroller a couple of months ago, I was completely lost in the sea of what seemed like endless stroller possibilities. I was conflicted as to whether I should spend more on the sporty strollers (with 3 wheels), if I needed more basket space or if the weight even made any difference. At the time, I prioritized a large basket and manoeuvrability over shock absorbent wheels and bought the Graco Click Connect travel system, but in hindsight, I should have probably gone with the better wheels because of how much I have been going out for walks lately in an effort to shed the weight. I definitely love my stroller but at the same time, I have yet to use the basket to its full capacity and I cringe every time I hit a sidewalk line. Plus, weighing at a whopping 45.5lbs, it has been quite the work-out to lug it up and down stairs.

The Joovy, on the other hand, weighs just 21lbs and is designed to be super manoeuvrable as it features large sealed ball bearing wheels designed to offer a smooth ride. Here’s what one reviewer had to say about it:

Stroller drives really nice. Wheels are very smooth (drive/ride). Collapses easily, but need both hands to collapse and load. Excellent front seat; sits baby up nice and straight (no slouching). Excellent space in back for older child to sit/stand.

It can also sit up to two children with up to 45lbs in the front and rear seats. The great part about this stroller is that the older child can choose to either sit, stand or walk.

Deal-wise, it’s definitely a good one as Amazon has it for as much as $477.40 and Sears is offering it at its regular price of $299.99.

Although it depends on your location, shipping is approximately $30 for this stroller but with the automatic $10 shipping discount that is applied at checkout, it will come down to just $20.

Babies R Us Canada: 25% Off Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor Deluxe (Now $127 | Was $170)

Posted by on June 3, 2014 at 7:00 PM

Babies R Us Canada: 25% Off Angelcare Movement and Sound Monitor Deluxe (Now $127 | Was $170)

For a couple more days, get the Angelcare movement and sound monitor deluxe at Babies r Us for just $127.42, instead of its regular price of $169.99.

Having just become a mommy for the very first time, I have to admit that my worry level has definetely skyrocketed, particularly because of the risk of SIDS. Of course, I do everything I can to minimize this risk, from only having my little one sleep on her back to making sure that the pack ‘n play she sleeps in is devoid of anything that could cause suffocation.

The first couple of nights after we came home from the hospital though, I was a complete mess in the worry department and I would wake up thinking that something was wrong. Nothing ever was but it’s still not a fun experience. Over a month has passed since then but I do still worry about all sorts of “what if” questions and have recently been looking into getting a baby monitor for when we transition her into her crib full-time.

What I like about this Angelcare system is that on top of providing sound monitoring, it also comes with a movement monitor. As you can see from the image above, all you need to do is place two square pads under the mattress, to then be alerted if the baby stops breathing. Sure, you might get a couple of false alarms from the movement monitor, but better safe than sorry, right?

Another feature I found useful is that sound monitor can be muted as lights flash is the baby cries. This could come in handy if the other parent is sleeping in the same room, for instance, while you’re catching up on any new book! Speaking of which, did you know that Kobo Books now offers first in series books for free? Be sure to check out Krista’s post to find out more.

Shipping is also quick, although it might depend on your location. I just ordered a couple of crib sheets and a swaddle blanket last week and was surprised when the mail-woman rang my doorbell two business days later with my order. Since all orders over $25 qualify for free shipping, you won’t pay a penny for shipping fees.

Babies R Us Canada: $40 Off Evenflo Triple Fun Exersaucer (Now $110 | Was $150)

Posted by on May 31, 2014 at 4:00 PM

Babies R Us Canada: $40 Off Evenflo Triple Fun Exersaucer (Now $110 | Was $150)

Originally priced at $149.99, the Evenflo Exercauser Triple Fun: Life in the Amazon is on sale at Babies R Us and is available for just $119.97. Plus, the Toys R Us coupon code Evenflo10 brings the price down by an additional $10 to just $109.99.

Had I known last week that this exercauser would be going on sale, I definitely wouldn’t have bought the Baby Einstein: Caterpillar Friends play gym, although at the time, I thought I was getting a great deal because it was reduced by 50% instead of its full price of $89.99. Don’t get me wrong, on its own, it was indeed a great deal but the Evenflo exercauser comes in three stages: a playmat, an exercauser and an activity table, which can all be used as your child grows (newborn to four months).

This amazing exercauser features four stars out of four and… get ready for this… over 800 reviews! You certainly can’t go wrong with that many, especially with comments like the following:

My seven month old son LOVES being in this exersaucer! My husband and I love it just as much as he does. It gives us a break from having to hold him all the time and he learns different sounds, shapes, colors and textures. It also is really great for his leg strength. It is a great product!

According to many reviews, it takes about two hours to assemble, but that’s a small price to pay for your child’s happiness! Just make sure to get batteries seperately as they are not included. Plus, it can be folded and easily taken on the go or stored for later use.

Now for a price comparison; although itself doesn’t have this exercauser, it is offered through their marketplace program with a user selling it for as high as $222.99. Walmart’s price is also higher at $148.86 and they currently don’t have it in stock anyway.

Shipping is usually $25 on items such as these, but a $10 shipping discount will automatically be applied at checkout.

Babies R Us Canada: $30 Off Medela Swing Breastpump (Now $199)

Posted by on May 26, 2014 at 4:30 PM

Babies R Us Canada: $30 Off Medela Swing Breastpump (Now $199)

Medela’s products certainly aren’t cheap. I was recently shocked to discover that a mere bottle costs as much as 4 blizzards at Dairy Queen! Same goes for the pumps but they are worth it and if you have been looking into getting one, then now is your chance because you can currently save $30 on a Medela Swing breastpump and get it for just $199.97 instead of $229.99.

Since I have been striving to exclusively breastfeed for the past couple of weeks, I have been pumping with this exact breast pump and I have to say that it’s fantastic! The great part about is that it features a 2-phase expression technology: the first for stimulating the production of milk and the second for expressing the milk. Plus, you can easily regulate the speed of the suction with the help of two buttons.

I also love using the Calma feeding nipple that it comes with as the baby actually has to work for the milk by having to actively suction the milk out, hence making the transition from breast to bottle and vice versa a breeze! Even better is that once you’re done pumping, you can just pop the lid on and quickly place the bottle in the fridge — all before your baby has the chance to unleash a fury of cries! Then, when you’re ready to use the bottled breast milk, the Calma nipple easily screws onto the bottle.

The set comes with:

  • A breast pump;
  • 2 bottles and a bottle stand;
  • A Medela Calma nipple;
  • A drawstring bag.

This is a great deal and one I wish would have been offered the week that I bought this pump but alas! While Sears sells this same set for $219.99, Walmart has it for $218.88.

I have to admit that originally I was pretty set on getting the Medela Freestyle breast pump but I’m glad I went with the Swing because on top of being cheaper, I find it’s more convenient as it allows me to empty one breast at a time after a feeding, thereby giving the other breast a chance to regenerate the milk supply since I have been told my a nurse that after half an hour, the breasts reproduce about 75% of the milk!

Plus, this breast pump also qualifies for free shipping since Babies R Us (Toys R Us) automatically ships all orders over $25 for free.

Babies R Us has some great deals on Thyme Maternity wear right now, so if you are pregnant, you can really score the goods. They have a clearance section full of summer clothing, up to 60% off most items.

When I am pregnant I get hot, so hot. Even though I’ve been pregnant three winters, I’ve never worn a maternity sweater, because it gives the word sweater a new meaning. I prefer light clothing like tank tops and I wore shorts all winter long (indoors only). If you are like me, you are in luck with this sale.

This screen print tank top will fit you the entire 9 1/2 months, as it stretches. Was $39, now $8.98.

This three button top is perfect under a cardigan or hoodie and also great for all three trimesters. Was $28, now $9.98.

These capri leggings are perfect for wearing all fall. One reason: so freaking comfortable. Was $35, now $28.98.

If you want some shorts, these poplin shorts with tie also have a three-in-one belly so you can wear them throughout the pregnancy. Was $45, now $18.98.

Shipping is free when you spend over $100.

Babies R Us has a great deal happening right now on one of the best strollers available.  When you buy a BOB Revolution SE Stroller, you will get a car seat adapter absolutely free.

You will have a choice of two different BOB strollers.  Basically, the only difference in the strollers is the colour.  You can choose from a black one or an orange one, and both are priced at $479.99.  That may seem like a lot of money for a stroller, but this is one of the best strollers out there.  The BOB brand is very reputable, reliable, and so easy to use. It gets a 5/5 star rating, it is light weight and it is easy to maneuver, perfect for all kinds of terrain.

The car seat adapters would normally cost you $59.99, so this is a great free gift to get with your stroller.

Thyme Maternity Canada: Extra 30% Off Clearance Items

Thyme Maternity Canada (which sells through Babies R Us) has an extra 30% off clearance items right now. Prices are reflected at checkout.

It looks like there are quite a few different sizes and styles left from this sale. My pet peeve is getting excited about a sale and having only XXS or XXL to choose from. What’s great about their site is that it tells you exactly what size is left before you click on it so you don’t get disappointed and waste your time.

This short-sleeved peasant top  in medium is a cheery addition to your wardrobe, great for over jeans or a skirt. Regularly $42, now only $20.30.

I love the stretchiness of this short-sleeved boat neck top in a standout purple. They have this in a variety of sizes, regularly $42, now only $20.30.

Check out this short-sleeved V-neck sweater, in size small, and is very fitted with flattering lines. Also $20.30, regularly $55.

These modern pants with 3-in-1 belly are awesome to wear through all the stages of your pregnancy and beyond. Only $27.30, regularly $59.

Shipping is free when you spend over $100, but you can also shop at Toys R Us and Babies R Us to get up to this total amount. Something for baby, perhaps?
